We had a very spacious room (almost more of an apartment) on the second floor. It was more than enough space. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. On site laundry was a welcome amenity during our trip, and the staff was more than courteous and kind at all points. Extremely friendly, enjoyable stay.

Stay here! This hotel hits the sweet spot. In our opinion Asheville is best experienced with a stay in something other than a big hotel chain. Of course, there is nothing wrong with large hotel chains. On the other hand my wife do not enjoy the lack of privacy in a B&B. And, I would rather go camping than share a bathroom as some B&B’s require. PS: I no longer enjoy camping. Located within walking distance to downtown in a residential area this hotel feels like an intimate B&B while providing a charming private hotel-like room or an in-kitchen suite. A gourmet breakfast is included. Wine and hours devours are included every evening.

Romantic couples retreat in a quite neighborhood in historic Asheville. Walking distance to all the restaurants and Whole Foods. Beautiful old charm with the amenities and comfort of today. The staff and management is very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful commodations with a classic feel. Definitely gave a sense of history in the area. Housekeeping was very pleasant and I felt that they actually cared for their job. Love the afternoon wine and O d'ouvres.

Go and meet Olivia, who is a perfect gem of a Hostess. Happy Hour sets the bar high. Walking distance to some of Asheville's best restaurants. Even the shampoo is just right.

Staff worked very hard to give it all they could for us! Clean and quiet, easy to find, good parking and tastefully comfortable surroundings made it oh so relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was yummy.

Lovely historical building. Nice big rooms. I would recommend using the ear plugs as the floors are squeaky and noisy while you sleep.

Our experience at Princess Anne was phenomenal. Our room was clean, comfortable, and affordable. We were offered complementary wine and hors d' oeuvres around happy hour, as well as a delicious gourmet breakfast the following morning. Most of all though, we were impressed by the kindness shown to us by the staff. This was possibly some of the nicest customer service I have ever experienced! We brought our 5 month old golden retriever puppy along with us, and were apprehensive about him being in such a new environment. The staff was so excited to have him and a nice lady up front even offered to keep an eye on him while we went downtown on a date night! Wow! We will definitely be coming back here.

This is my favorite place to stay in Asheville! Exceptionally friendly staff, delicious hors d'oeuvres at the free cocktail hour, and breakfast is always really yummy.

Very close to the Charlotte Street exit, this place is amazing. The staff is friendly, the rooms were kept spotless, and all in all it was worth every penny.

Really pretty hotel just seconds from downtown. Fantastic breakfast included! However, that "1924 charm" really gets the best of them. The creaking floors are obnoxious especially if you are staying under another customer. It's very loud. But what kept me up the most were the pipes feeding the radiator under the window. About ever hour, I was woken by the pipes making a horribly loud noise, like a hammer on metal. Good thing I didn't have to wake up early for something important. I enjoyed the stay, but giving it 2 stars for all of the noises. By no means is this a "quiet" hotel.

Honeymooned here for about 5 days and loved it. The breakfast and coffee were delicious every morning. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is beautiful. Best of all is the location. You get to be right down the street from downtown with it being much quieter in the surrounding neighborhood. Just keep in mind that this is an older building so there will be a lot of (albeit charming) wood creaking.

Love Princess Anne! My husband and I have stayed there every New Year's Eve for the past 6 years. We were told the hotel is under new management and all of the employees are now new. What a change it was! The employees that worked there since we have been going were all so friendly and always tried to do any and everything to make sure our stay was the best. This year was much different. New staff is less than friendly and less accommodating. Every year for the past 6 years we would have a complimentary bottle of champagne and a nice greeting letter waiting on us when we arrived. Not this year. Will we be returning? Not sure. We have many memories with Princess Anne, but the change is not a good one. Missing the way it was.

Really enjoyed our stay in Asheville at Princess Anne. Great location, attentive service, close to downtown. Comfortable accommodations and a very tasty breakfast. Its a very nice alternative to other options in town. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Located 1 mile walk from downtown, it is a historic building with spacious suites. The staff is friendly and breakfast in the morning was delicious. The only negative is that it's an old building with thin walls and creeky floors.

My husband and I took our honeymoon in Asheville, NC this past week and chose to stay at the Princess Anne Hotel. I am now officially in love with this hotel and we have plans to come back for future anniversaries. We love the unique elegance. It's spacious but cozy, and the breakfast was phenomenal! Can't wait to recommend to others and come back soon!

Friendly staff, nice rooms equipped with updated mini-split heating and A/C units which are much quieter than the window units you typically get in B&B type places. Received a complimentary upgrade to a suite for our single-night stay. Wine and snacks served in the front rooms in the early evening. Walking distance to downtown Asheville. Parking lot with street overflow available. Would certainly go back if we in town again.

This is probably one of the nicest places I've stayed and it was very affordable. The room was great, the bed was super comfy. The staff was very friendly. You're not far from downtown. Breakfast was free and amazing. There is a wine and cheese hour for free as well. We'll most certainly return for more than a one night stay.

We had a fantastic time here. The hotel is beautiful, it has kept the charm of the past while providing all of the modern conveniences. The breakfasts were delicious, all made to order. If you needed something different than what was offered, they are happy to accommodate! The customer service is unmatched. We were there during a snow storm and while I asked to borrow a shovel, they actually shoveled out my car! Incredible. This BnB is within easy walking distance to downtown, several pubs and trader joes. If you want to make your stay in Asheville special, this is where you want to stay.

This is a great find in Asheville! It is located just close enough to downtown for a walk if the weather is right or a quick car or taxi ride. Access to the highway was a breeze. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and unique. Breakfast was fantastic and imagine the wine and appetizer reception is equally nice. Ashley, John And Ilene were tremendous.

What a lovely place! Breakfast is wonderful. They also have wind and cheese in the evenings. This place is truly charming and beautiful.

We had booked a room at the B&B for my parents 45th wedding anniversary and they couldn't have been happier! They really enjoyed it! The room was huge they said! The staff even remembered to wish them a Happy Anniversary! That made me happy to hear that. I personally like how the staff makes you feel special when you stay with them. Since we booked the room for them, they took the time to mail a handwritten personal note saying thanks and they would make my parents stay memorable. They even included a brochure so we could give to my parents when we gave them this surprise! They also put chocolate covered strawberries in the room for them which I thought was a nice touch and so did they! I would recommend Princess Anne's to anyone! Thanks again Princess Anne staff.

Endless amenities for a reasonable price. Clean rooms. Kind of a "faux dive" vibe in the rooms, but charming. Easily the best money I ever spent on lodging. Wine and snacks were excellent and the breakfast was top notch with a fresh baked breakfast roll and a fritata. It was New Year's and we even had a complimentary bottle of champagne in the room. Everything you could ever want in the room even down to biscotti to have with your morning coffee and handmade truffles on your nightstand. Staff was as friendly as could be. I wish I could give six stars.
