Do NOT stay here. If I could give zero stars I would. They tried to scam us, horrible horrible experience! I don’t even know where to start! The hotel was absolutely disgusting. We booked this hotel in advance for a wedding we were attending in town. We stopped by before the wedding to check in and saw how horrible it looked/smelled. We were outside the cancelation window so we decided to just take the loss and pay for the night — even though there was no way we were staying… there. We decided to vacate the room early and head back home following the wedding. We would rather drive all night than subject ourselves and our newborn baby to the filth of this hotel (see detailed list below of what was wrong with our room…) We were driving home and we get a call from hotel front desk man “Ed”. We honestly thought it was a joke at first. Ed asked if we were at the hotel and in our room. He wanted to know where we were and if we were coming back tonight? Sketchy much? It gets worse. He began to claim that we left the hotel room door open and there was a random man inside smoking. He claimed that this man damaged the room and broke a window and “damaged lots of things. ” Ed said he would have to charge us a $150 smoking fee and damage fee. We politely explained that we disagreed with this and that we didn’t leave the door open, never smoked in the room, and that we didn’t even use the room.

Clean, peaceful and delicious pancakes for breakfast… A WIN! Hope to be back soon.

This hotel is not too bad. It's is also not good. For the money you get a decent clean room and comfortable beds but that's about it. Do not expect any breakfast really. The pancake maker was broken which was unfortunate.

I have been staying here a lot over the last month the place is awesome always clean easy access to the room & reasonably priced. Sunny always accommodates me.

We stayed here for a wedding in New Paltz after it was recommended on the Zola website for $135 per night. The manager did not honor the price and charged $180 per room per night. The girl at the desk confirmed to me the cheaper rate, but said she could not change the rate. The manager told me the rate was never valid — I was not surprised. One of the first rooms smelled like cat pee, and we were given another room. The breakfast is minimal — some homemade sandwiches, and pancake maker. Thankfully there was yogurt. Rooms were adequate — nothing fancy; no coffee available. Not a good value at $180 a night; maybe good at $100 or less.

The front desk person was very nice but the rooms were sad. upon entering the room the first thing I noticed was how much dust there was and how dirty (un vacuumed) the carpets were. Secondly in the bathroom the toilets were unclean (under the bowl) and the light cover was broken and laying in the sink. The beds are very old and sunken in and very creaky. Stains on sheets and pillow cases. And old food left on the floor. I had to pick up a half eaten hot pocket that was black with mold. Doors have no weather stops and the bright lights from the hallway lit up the room. I will never return to this place and hope my boss gets a full refund. And breakfast is a complete Joke, a few slices of white bread apples and coffee. And not available till 7am?

It was not terrible, a cheap room in a cheap hotel.

The attendant was friendly and respectful and my room was neat and CLEAN! I was able to rest well and would stay again. The only downside I could see was that there wasn't much to the continental breakfast if that's a deal breaker for you. Personally, the breakfast is low on my priority list so again, I would choose this establishment when I return to the area.

Wonderful experience. The Manager went above and beyond during my stay. Helpful, and very nice staff. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second time here and everything was great. The manager who checked us in the last time remembered us from back in April. That was very impressive because we only were there a short time. Our son was visiting colleges in the area and we would definitely choose this hotel again if the need arises.

Very clean and nice hotel for a reasonable price. Of all the hotels in the town that I saw, this one seemed the best from outside appearances. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and my room. Thank you! All personnel was pleasant and helpful, also.

A Great Value! This is a clean hotel, a bit older, but the current management carefully attends to facility maintenance to make this one an amazing value: especially considering the average prices of other motels in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable. Some reviewers reported that the motel has recently improved. I took a chance, and I was not disappointed. Keep up the good work! ADVICE TO SHARE WITH OTHER TRAVELERS: Pay attention to dates of other reviews. REASON FOR TRIP: Holiday with relatives in the area.

My husband and I have been traveling to New Paltz frequently over the past three years to visit elderly family members. We are therefore in a unique position to note the many improvements made to this hotel by the current owner. He moved rapidly from making the hotel lobby/breakfast area a warm and welcoming space to making significant improvements to each room (vastly improved room key cards and locking mechanisms, new microwaves and refrigerators, bathroom improvements, improvements to the overall decor) and to improving the physical plant, including a new roof and gutters and recent resurfacing of the parking area. Additional improvements are ongoing. But the main reason we like to stay at Rodeway Inn New Paltz is the staff. Staff are truly interested in serving all guests to the best of their ability and the friendliness and service ethic is excellent. We will continue to make this hotel our home away from home in the future.

Was unable to use AAA/ AARP discount. Was told that we needed to use it when we booked on-line. Don't recall seeing any place for discounts. Check in man was rude and took so long to complete our transaction. This was in Chillicothe in Ohio… place was dirty, fight in hall at midnite, noisy and scary… Breakfast was a joke, coffee and packaged rolls, and a banana. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Clean and Comfortable. Made a last-minute reservation here while traveling through the area by bicycle. Staff was very friendly and accommodating — they went out of their way to put me in the largest room they had, so my bike could be kept in the room with me. Everything was very clean and tidy. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again. I left before breakfast was served, so I cannot comment on that. Overall this was the best value for the price of any place I stayed on my 8-day trip.

Very spacious and good with location! I stayed one night. They accommodated me when I needed to check in early. They made it very evident that they would help if anything was needed. The room was immaculate and new. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone! 2 minutes off the NYS Thruway. The staff was very friendly. I normally get really grossed out when even thinking about staying in hotels but after walking in I felt comfortable. Everything was really clean.

The hotel definitely surpassed my expectations — — it was a very pleasant experience overall. The staff I engaged with (3 individuals) were very courteous and helpful to me. The room was non-smoking and clean with good amenities. I would stay here again for sure when back in the area.

The staff is wonderful and the place is too! The hotel is Exceptionally clean, well kept and very quite. Also, the staff and manager Sonny went out of their way to help me correct a booking error I made. They were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast in the lobby was very good too!

Made a last-minute reservation here as I was traveling through the area. Great value if you just want simple accommodations; clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A little bit outside of town, so you'll need to travel back for restaurant options.

BEWARE SEATAC Rodeway INN Worst stay of our entire lives; nothing worked, Room was filthy — Shower broken-sink was too. You name it! I complained on survey and all we got was we are sorry hope you stay again… REALLY?

I'm here a lot for work and the staff are so welcoming which really makes this home away from home such a pleasure to come back to. They are always accommodating and do what they can to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxed stay. The rooms look fine, always clean and beds very comfortable. Overall it's always a great experience with warm welcoming staff. Great rooms. Comfortable beds. Beautiful, well maintained hotel. The staff is very professional and courteous. They say hello in the halls. It is always a pleasure to stay here. I have never had a bad experience in my stays at this hotel. The people that stay were good people, families weddings etc. I will def come again.

I've stayed here many times in the past four years, and this last time was the best one yet. They've updated the look of the grounds beautifully and the room was clean and comfortable. I love the staff — always so helpful and friendly. Best of all, the rooms were quiet — big, thick doors and walls — and I love having the fridge and microwave to save money on meals. The breakfast was very nice. Over all very nice Stay for best price.

Many things are changed this time than first time. New furniture. Specially all room equipped with Google area guide.

We were in New Paltz for our golf tournament. Surrounding area is good. Room was big enough for a large family. Problem solved for upcoming stay.

Careful consideration of amenities. All type of guides, flat screen TV, transportation, map, visitors guide, county guide. One more thing, wonderful stuff.

People were very nice but the room was disgusting and dirty. Mattress was not wrapped which is a no-no nowadays. Small spots and stains on it, found hairs inside the bed as if the bedding had not been cleaned or changed. Table in the room was falling apart. I ended up sleeping in the bathtub.

I am a big Harley guy. I need big bed, Roadway at new paltz is perfect hotel for me on my trip. Both way round trip I stay there. They treat us well & I like their hotel. Will stay in next trip again.

I stayed in Rodeway in new paltz, Ny every other week for two nights. Their service is awesome, as always. Hotel itself is way better than other Rodeways. I like their big led TV. Make me feel like home. I will advise my friends to visit this hotel if they are in new paltz.

The place is totally renewed Cleen no smel and the owner was very helpful. We would definitely choose this place again when we are in the area!

More Con's than pro's I'm afraid, decent place to stay over night only otherwise you might want to consider another option. Con's : our room had a lose toilet, mold on the ceiling and no closet. Side and back doors where unlocked so anyone can just come on in, room was not ready when we checked in but that was because we got there at four in the afternoon, still no excuse though. Hotel has a NO PET POLICY even though the website says pet friendly. Absolutely no breakfast selection except some cereal and coffee! Not to worry there's a nice diner down the road called the College Diner, they have great food. You might wanna find a better place to stay if you're gonna be in town more than a day.

Me and my daughter stayed the night there as we were on vacation from florida. I would not recommend anyone to stay at the hotel. There are numerous problems the rooms were not clean at all, the beds were not made and when I asked for a new room the manager was very rude. The heat/ac did not work the bath tubs were filling up with water. I also believe they have bedbugs and phones aren't working,. Poor choice for us.

They were booked solid and the place was still nice and quiet. It's very clean and simple but the room was very nice. There's a nice big yard out back for pets. I'd stay again.

For $125/night it was not very clean. Everything needed to be dusted and wiped down. Also no key cards worked the entire time we were there so that was a pain. They charge $20 for pet fee and the heater was broken but there was no other option for us. Next time I will plan better and avoid sleeping in this area.

I live in upstate New York and my Girlfriend live in Virginia. My biggest worry during my trip is my Puppy. I visit my girlfriend every week. Roadway Inn & Suites at New Paltz, NY is the best place to stop for me in my long journey. People at this location are very helpful. They always give me best room that convenient for me and my pet. Room is very clean and very big. This is the first hotel I ever find, who allow pets in nicer and cleaner room. I am glad they are there in a market for accommodation. I recommend everyone to stay at this location no matter you have a pet or not but you will find best and cleanest possible room for best price.

I am planning to buy a property around New Paltz, NY area. So I have to spend so many days in New Paltz. Rodeway Inn & Suites, New Paltz, NY is the perfect place for me to stay more than 3 days a week for me. I just find out that they have a new owner and manager for this business. New owner just took over in January 2016. They are doing renovation right now, they have a new flat screen led TV mounted on wall, new refrigerator and new microwave, new fluffy blanket and pillow on nice comfy bad in huge room with modern bath room. New Manager is Awesome. He will take Care of u like baby. He will do everything to make u happy. He is simply awesome person, very helpful and cooperative. This is quite and secure place 24 hrs. Under security surveillance camera. I recommend to stay at Rodeway Inn & Suites New Paltz, NY. Keep up good work guys.

We were only in New Paltz for one night, doing a college visit at SUNY. We wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was wonderful. The desk staff were very welcoming. Thank you for your awesome hospitality.

Well for my first time to New Paltz NY for me, but my partner us from here and all the hotels that once were are now gone but this hotel was great in rooms, price n location. The rooms were very much clean, comfortable and plenty of room. We turned a one night stay into a three nite stay because we like the hotel.
