Just back from 5 nights in the Hyatt Centric, location is perfect. Staff are all friendly and helpful. We went to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and the room we were given was very spacious with an amazing view. No need to take a hairdryer ladies the one in the room is amazing! The roof top bar is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

My mom, sister and I came this past weekend for a weekend getaway. The room was lovely and housekeeping was terrific. The customer service by those at the front desk was subpar, underwhelming to say the least. We tried a few times to ask simple questions, but we were always directed to someone else. Again we felt like we were an inconvenience. It wasn't until we were leaving on Sunday morning did we experience anything that resembled customer service. A man with a cheerful disposition came to our aid and secured transportation to the airport. I am flabbergasted by the curt manner in which we were treated by the "front line". I work in customer service and I assure you my customers would never be treated like an inconvenience. I don't believe I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area. I wish I got the name if the gentleman that assisted us so I could thank him for his kindness. Thanks for listening. Cindy B.

We went the for the rooftop bar and lounge. The view is breathtaking from above and the experience was excellent. Food and drinks were up to our expectations with an excellent service delivered by professional employees. Waiting list was a little long and it was the only down side to the experience however this is acceptable and understandable for a place like that.

Had an amazing time back home in NY… the location of your hotel was flawless. But the fact that your entire staff was so clueless about the billing side of things and here I am checking my bank account days later after leaving being charged something they said would never be there… yea, it left a bad taste in my mouth about this place. 3 employees, 3 different answers, and money STOLEN from me. I'll never stay in this place again! Thanks Hyatt, for proving what I said as correct. :)

Wonderful hotel! Clean, upscale, chic, modern, classy! Great staff and facilities. Our concierge and room attendant were outstanding with helpful advice for our 4 night stay visiting Manhattan and Times Square. Fantastic location as well literally just steps from Times Square center! We have found a home in NYC! No need to look elsewhere and gamble on your stay. NYC's highest roof top bar as well.

A beautiful hotel! The view is fantastic and from the rooms you can see Times Square and the One World Trade Center too (if the room is on the top floors). There is also a bar on the last floor where you can admire the city. The restaurant is great, however close to the hotel there are many others. The hotel is well connected to public transportation. The staff is welcoming and polite. I'm very satisfied!

Central, clean and dynamic environment. Brings back.

I would have given 4 stars but this hotel has too many cons. First with the pros. The location. It is close to everywhere and you can walk. Also the door staff and check in staff are very pleasant. Cons: Rooms are not 5 star standard. Stains on bed sheets. Lights are all controlled by one switch so you can not turn off only one light. You will be harassed every evening by a rude man to show your room key every five minutes. I paid for a high floor quiet room. It was a rip-off. I was put on floor 34 and was woken up every morning at 6 am from loud construction. The Restaurant connected to the Hyatt has an extremely rude server and low quality food for high quality price.

Definitely not the Hyatt experience I expected. Location is great — Times Square. rooms are clean an spacious with cool views Lobby — small. Only one computer that you have to pay to use it. Bad placed too Staff — more like an average interstate hotel service. Meeting Rooms — were not available to guests on my 3 days stay And my BIGGEST disappointment — the Roof Top — my main reason I picked this hotel — was also totally unavailable — rented to private events. I could not get there for even 5 minutes. When I complained about it they did nothing. May be just my bad luck but. When you pay more — you should get what's advertised. I stayed in smaller hotels in NYC that offered 3 times better service. This particular Hyatt — does not live up to the name.

Wonderful hotel! Very close to Times Square and everything near by. The room was clean and modern. Complimentary coffee, but no creamer or additional sweetener. The rooftop bar has great views. Very pleased with my stay.

Great hotel a few steps from Time Square.

We stayed here for a mother/daughter NYC trip in March and cannot say enough about the customer service! We were so welcomed by Lupita, and every request we made was taken care of with a smile. She is amazing! You can't find a better location for the theaters. We went to 5 shows and easily walked to all of them. The restaurant and roof top bar were both great with friendly service and delicious food. The rooms were large with nice views and super comfortable beds, and the rate was surprisingly reasonable for such a great location! It will certainly be our "go to" hotel the next time we visit. I highly recommend this hotel!

Really enjoyed staying here. The location is perfect, walking distance to so many restaurants and attractions. The service was top notch and all the staff were really friendly. Loved the room and the bathroom, especially the rain shower. The views from the rooftop restaurant and terrace were incredible. Overall a wonderful experience.

This was my and my daughter’s first time to visit New York. Before we booked, I looked online for hours for a hotel with great reviews and a good location that was central to everything. This hotel had some of the best reviews and I now see why! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived late and we were hungry but the kitchen had already closed. There weren’t any vending machines in the hotel (which is the one suggestion I have for them) so one of the staff volunteered to go get a snack for us in their breakroom vending machine. It was so nice! The bathrooms are fantastic, the rooms are comfortable, and the hotel smells very nice. I would definitely stay here again!

The Hyatt Centric, has an amazing location, you are just steps away from Times Square but not directly in it. The staff is exceptional, they go above and beyond, learn your name, why you’re in the city, and your needs. They are willing to assist you and work with you on virtually anything you could possibly need! The management of the hotel is some of the best I’ve seen ever, and so is the level of security and hospitality. If you’re looking for central, extremely clean, and modern then this is the hotel for you. 100% would recommend to anybody traveling to NYC for any occasion. I am rating 5 stars for the wheelchair accessibility room! We stayed in an accessible room with double beds and it was great for wheelchair (30") accessibility. You could move in the room. Bathroom was prefect to! Accessible bars, room under the sink to pull your wheelchair under, towel racks lower, roll in shower with pull down bench and even a closet where the bar was low so you could hang your clothes! Bonus: the bathroom floor was heated! The Location is ideal! Right near times square. The staff was amazing — friendly and helpful! Negatives: if you can't sleep through noise, this is not the place for you unless you wear noise canceling headphones. Garbage trucks ALL NIGHT LONG. Plus the honking of the cabs. The beds are also firm so if you are used to a softer bed like I am, it adds to the difficulty of sleep… Plus the pillows are not very good.

I was visiting my client that I performed a 90min massage I am a licensed massage therapist I have stayed overnight before and this is a great hotel. The doorman was welcoming and kind and funny. The rooms are comfortable and up to date Check all possible coupon sites, you can get the best room for the price if a single. Even if you just want to get away and sleep and stay in a spa. This is the perfect place.

Everyone from the front desk clerk to the cleaning staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and well appointed. I was obvious that management had sourced the right people for their hotel and the best amenities for the rooms. I was leaving with a smile on my face. I called the suggested 30 minutes ahead for my car and proceeded to checkout. My car took nearly an hour and a half to bring around from two blocks away. This disrupted our plans to meet with family for lunch and soured my feelings for the hotel. The hotel staff were quick to blame the garage service but did not take responsibility for sourcing the wrong garage. If they take such great care in sourcing all the other amenities why should they drop the ball on the garage service. I would have felt better if they had told me they would work to prevent this from happening in the future. I paid $65 to park the car for a night and their was no offer for any refund or partial refund despite the poor service. UPDATE: The manager followed up after I left the review above on a satisfaction survey the hotel sent. He then apologized and refunded the $65 parking fee.

Nice hotel. Great location. Had to wait 45 minutes to get my car out of valet at 330 am when it should not be busy at all and there is no traffic on the streets. We were on a schedule and the front desk clerk was not helpful at all. Her attitude was it's a vendor so not the hotels problem.

A good meal in the restaurant and a fantastic experience at the bar! The delicious burger and the toast too. The prices are very high, especially in the bar, but it is worth it on important dates.

Perfect Hotel Clean and right in the center.

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel and let me start off by saying that this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at! I know it can be difficult to find a nice New York City Hotel, so please be sure to read this entire review because it is packed with helpful information. However, the only reason why I rated it a 5 star instead of 4 star is because of Walter the doorman who works out front. Walter is extremely friendly, and also helpful. I always see him talking and laughing with everyone as well as with me. Walter really goes above and beyond and I can tell he loves his job and likes to help people. He is a really good asset for the Hyatt Centric Hotel. He makes a difference for the people staying at the Hyatt Centric Hotel. Now a little about the Hotel itself: It is very modern and clean. Even though it is modern, it is very warm and welcoming. During the holidays (which is when I stayed there) They play Christmas music in the lobby and it is decorated wonderfully. All of the employees are very professional! Especially the manager who is the younger little guy. It is very refreshing to have a manager who knows what he's doing. They also put out unlimited hot apple cider and cookies in the lobby. The lobby furniture is clean and they have a wonderful sitting area out front, as well as a great roof top bar. The location of the hotel is great. Even though the hotel is right off of Times Square, they have rooms which still offer great views of Times Square.

Luxurious and large rooms made my stay extremely comfortable. The wireless speaker that doubles as an alarm clock is a bonus that only adds to the value of the room. The hotel staff are extremely professional and the service staff are very friendly, which I appreciated. The roof top bar is a must visit and I believe it's for residents only now. There is a restaurant and bar on the building, and the gym is clean and well equipped. You can't go wrong with choosing to stay here.

First, the valet parking is entirely worth it. No hassle figuring out where to park, it's just taken care of. Second, the room is big! In NYC sometimes it's hard to find hotels that have large rooms; the bathroom was also decent. The bed was comfy and it was very clean. You're also smack in the middle of pretty much everything. Walking distance to a lot of great places. Me and my friends even walked to 27th and it only took all of 25 minutes to get there. Also a short walk to central park and Columbus circle. All in all great hotel.

Excellent hotel. Premium building, materials and rooms. Very good attention. The hotel is a an extreme peaceful, quiet and cozy place where in the front office itself you notice a deep silence that slows you down from the street stress. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. The Wi-Fi is top notch with very high speeds and 5 bar signal on every corner of the room (there is a router every each other room door in the aisle). The carpets are clean and the ambiance is pastel colorful and quaint.

Loved our stay here! The front desk staff was friendly and funny. The lobby and rooms is wonderful. Large rooms for NYC. Great location next to time square. The bar at the top of the hotel is amazing but pricey. If you get a chance go see the view but avoid the $20 drinks.

Nice hotel at a very convenient location. Very close to Times Square. My king size room unfortunately didn't have closet to hang my jacket. It also didn't have iron. But the rest were fine.

Everything was fantastic. A mere couple hundred feet from the heart of times square and the inside was amazingly stunning. Free umbrellas when it rains, and all sorts of other amenities. Valet takes care of everything with your car, and the rooms are amazing with all sorts of cool things. Overall an amazing experience.

I was here for a seminar. The food was okay nothing to brag about. Now I do say go and see the views on the 54 floor. Face the New Year Ball but you won't get near it on New Year's Eve since it's already sold out to a private company. I found the staff in the lobby nice. The bartender on Oct 4 and the waitress staff was not very accommodating to the crowd. The hotel bathrooms are clean and will fit wheelchairs. There is a spa and gym. The lobby is bright and helpful with kind and caring staff ready to help. They are very proud of their hotel.

Hyatt's are always very nice in my opinion. They Hyatt Centric follows this expectation. Great room. Very clean and comfortable. Staff is always nice and willing to help how they can.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights May 11 — May 16, 2017 with my wife and daughter. The twin bed is almost like a queen size bed and it was fabulous. The room was very nice and clean specially the bathroom. You get free coffee and bottled water in your room. It is a 3 minute walk to Times Square. I will recommend this hotel and would like to stay there again on my future trip to New York and will rate the hotel as 4 1/2 star.

Do not decide for this HOTEL! Lousy service! All my family that I dine and take the complimentary water from the hotel are intoxicated! The Hotel didn't help us at all!

Girls trip June 27 — July 1 with my daughter and granddaughters. Wonderful hotel! Great location, really awesome staff at check in/check out. The rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed. Free bottled water and Keurig coffee maker in room. The floor to ceiling windows give you a great view of the city. Walk out the door and you are just steps from Times Square and the Theatre District. Although you are close to Times Square, you never hear the noise from your room. I can't say enough about the staff and how they go the extra mile (they celebrated my granddaughter's birthday with a small gift and flowers in our room AND a bar credit for the beautiful roof top bar). I would definitely recommend and would stay there again!

Very good hotel. Excellent location. Modern and comfortable rooms. The small lobby is not in line with the rest of the hotel. The views from the bar of the 54, must be missed. Another double crochet is the gym, open 24 hours. And well-equipped.

Staff was very pleasant and we arrived 6 hours early and they allowed us to check in! It is central to everything and a couple of blocks away from the subway which was very convenient. The room came with an amazing view of downtown which made the experience all the better.

We have been staying here the last three days and will be here for another four. This is by far our best experience with any hotel we have ever stayed in. The reason isn't it's location or amenities, which are five star on their own, but the service. The staff is amazing. Very, very friendly and very, very accommodating. Every staff member we encounter is great. I don't ever write reviews, usually I just click a star rating. But I am so impressed with the high level of customer service, I felt compelled to let people know. Every time we come to new York, we will be staying here. Less than half a block walk and you're right in the hustle and bustle of Times Square. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious (for an NYC hotel room). The best part was the service. They were able to check us in early to allow my wife to nurse. And held our bags when checking out so we could grab brunch and not lug our bags around. It was a trip for our anniversary and they even gave us a small credit for the rooftop restaurant and bar! Amazing food and wonderful cocktails.

The location could not be better, turning the street you have Times Square. The hotel is very new, bathrooms and rooms as if you were glittery. Radiant floor heating, safety deposit box, cable tv. The attention from the staff is of 10. Without a doubt, I would repeat.

Last week I been living here two nights. Very quiet place. Clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful people. In view of it, and my grandpa's house a distance of only a few streets, I will come again to stay.

I may have wrong expectations but I expected more from a Hyatt hotel. The room service don't have a good menu for dinner and it comes with plastic fork and also in a plastic plate. The room is fine, beds are comfortable and clean. The shower lack a little bit of pressure imho but good overall.

My sister and I checked in on 3/9 and out on 3/15. We had an executive suite and it was lovely! The staff from the front desk to housekeeping were stellar! Our concierge Ryan was so helpful and very patient with all our questions. The first night we ate dinner in the restaurant T45 and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Security is visible and friendly, the hotel is located in the middle of everything you could ever want to do in the city! Check-in and check-out was a breeze. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

Checking in was great. Our first night at this hotel was very nice. We have a wonderful king-size bed room at 15th floor. Perfect for our little family with our baby. Bathroom is very beautiful. Big Flat-screen TV. All lights are separatly turn on and off with one switch. All looks brand new and very nice. We are looking forward to the next nights.

This hotel needs some work. The room was ok but had a weird smell to it. The bathroom floor had hair and nail cuts on it, discussing! No robes, and the towels looked like they hasn't been washed in a while. Truly disappointing!

Go to Bar 54 rooftop lounge early! At around 5pm for a spectacular sunset with an intimate vibe.

NO idea what people on Google complained about. We LOVED this hotel. Just returned from a holiday weekend in NYC and have zero complaints. We were within walking distance of everything. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Our room with a direct view of Times Square was clean and comfortable. The bed was clean and comfortable. Best of all? The price was extremely reasonable! Phenomenal service. Allowed us to check-in over 4 hours early after we came in off of a red-eye flight which was so awesome if them. Clean modern room, great bathrooms, easy hookups for any laptop to the tv, one touch button by the bed to blackout all the lights, and the "view" room actually DOES have a great view above Times Square. Will be coming here every time I visit NYC. Highly recommend the small upgrade to the View Room.

Exceptional service from front desk and service staff. Beautiful hotel with amazing views. I was lucky to get suite 5304 which was just under B54 Bar and overlooked times square. Excellent location near to a variety of shopping and food options. Will definitely stay here whenever I am in Manhattan again.

Do not stay here if you care at all about being on time. I paid a 50% surcharge for overnight dry cleaning which arrived an hour late and only after I called and inquired about it twice. This lead to me being late for work. My room service breakfast was also delivered 20 minutes late, but I guess that doesn't matter much since the dry cleaning was so late. Avoid this place at all costs.

It was an honor staying here on January 26th and 27th in room 4105. Getting to my room was as easy as an apple-pie and convenient as possible. Card key entry system. The view from my window was spectacular. The king size bed was comfortable as a sofa. The 60” TV was bright, clear and convenient. A thermostat was on the wall. Bathroom has a rain shower head, a handheld shower wand and a large mirror on the wall where I saw myself as I took a shower. The bathroom floor was always warm. My room was quiet as a mouse, clean as a whistle, cool as a cucumber, fit as a fiddle, and awesome as a chocolate bar. Security and hospitality were top notch. The staff was friendly as a puppy and helpful as a chocolate teapot. Thank you very much for making my short stay a memorable one.

Waoooooooooooooooooh! An international class, well placed with a view that to my wife and me, gave us chills during our honeymoon in the usa. Great location to Broadway and Times Square. Impeccable service and with the smile☺. Tip? For breakfast, there is just a Starbucks in face☕. Say that this stay at the Hyatt was not planned: our 1st hotel booked for our honeymoon in work for our original date of stay 8 months in advance, the latter booked us a room at the Hyatt and what a surprise! Is pro and with an upgrade not requested and offered, so there.

Clean, modern, and with SUPERBLY helpful guest relations. Stayed in a single room (king-sized bed). Room setup was tidy and serviceable. Bathroom amenities and comforts were relaxing (everything from the soap scents to shower (rainfall and wall-mounted wand) provided just the right amount of attention and comfort. Location is excellent (next to three Irish pubs — Connolly's, The Perfect Pint, O'Lunneys) and right in the heart of Times Square. Easy access to major theaters and attractions, as well as eateries (Starbucks across the street) and shops.

Review is for the rooftop bar only. AMAZING view, as it is situation on top of the 54-floor building in the heart of Times Square. We were first seated inside while we waited for a spot to open up on the balcony. I had doubts that they would remember, but after about 15 minutes they found us and lead us outside. The atmosphere is laid back, seems like it would draw the business folks who meet up for drinks after work. Great experience for the view, especially to take out-of-towners.

My husband, two year old son and I stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August. We were worried that nothing would meet our standards after staying at the Venetian in Las Vegas. We were wrong. This hotel is AMAZING! They must pump air freshener or something through the air con as it always smelt great in there! The rooms were large, especially for a NY hotel. The bed was comfy, we loved that we had an empty fridge to use, the bathroom was beautiful. I wan't mine at home to be exactly like that! Also, whilst the room was already well equipped you are given a list of all the complimentary items available to you at request, it has everything you could think of! BUT! (I bet you're expecting me to say something bad). The staff! They are beyond anything I have ever witnessed at any establishment. Hotel, restaurant, airport. Anything. They are the friendliest, kindest people I have ever met. I will recommend this hotel simply for the staff, especially the doormen. My son, Tyler loved seeing them every morning and would run up and fist bump them. He even blew kisses to one of them, Chester. I can't say I was said to leave NY but I was definitely sad to leave the Hyatt and their staff. I will always have fond memories of them and want to thank them again for making our stay as wonderful as it was. Best wishes.

Just finished our week long stay at the Hyatt on Times Square with my 3 teenagers and we loved it. My daughter's first reaction was "Wow, its right in the middle of everything.! " and it is. It is the perfect base of operation to do the whole city. We bought a Metro pass at the beginning of the week and never had to pay for a cab. We finished each day with a treat in Times Square from one of the street vendors and just watched the spectacle. The breakfast at the T45 cafe was superb. The service from all of the staff was perfect. Courteous, fast, knowledgeable. We will be back.
