Great location, friendly staff.

Rocky and the team (especially Christian) were BRILLIANT. Lovely hotel. Loved the spacious bed. The elevators were amazing. Air conditioned and a great (quick! ) ride to the 16th! (loved the ride up. Lol). Watch out for the locals outside though. NY Is NY like any other city. Be mindful of your surroundings.

I was in Manhattan for one night to see friends and this hotel was in a great location with clean and modern rooms. I loved my view of the Sunset over the Hudson! Location of the hotel is the only factor. Can't get better location than this to explore Manhattan.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Very convenient location close to times square and Broadway. Subway entrance is a block away. The room size is what one should expect from a hotel room in Manhattan. Rooms were clean and the customer service was very good. I accidentally locked my safe with a code I couldn't remember, they promptly sent someone up to get it open. Parking is $45 per night around the corner with hotel validation. My only quirk is that the washroom sliding door doesn't lock and leaves a noticeable gap between room and washroom. There are also shady characters that hang out in front of the hotel at night time, although this has nothing to do with the hotel, they do have security stationed at the hotel 24/7.

Really helpful and friendly staff on the front desk. Room on the 36th floor was very nice, quite small, but two double beds. Clean with very efficient air-con, and the soundproof windows are really good. Didn't spend too much time in the room, but was perfect for what we needed on our 9 night stay. Would recommend and use again!

Spaces are tiny, but the service and security have been flawless. It's location and view from 30th floor window are very unique. I am also impressed by their efficiency, especially considering their arrangement of space. Times Square is a very busy place. New York life has been hectic but luckily I am able to rely on the comfort of this Holiday Inn, which is planted unassumingly in the middle of the city turmoil.

Stayed here for a night on a recent trip and was blown away by the service and cleanliness of the hotel! Even on an extremely busy day our check-in took no more than five minutes (check-out was 30 seconds tops) and our room was great. We were on the 28th floor and had a tremendous view of the city. Like a few others have pointed out, the elevators can become extremely busy. At one point we did have a few minute wait, but this was a one time thing and we were not in any sort of rush. Some have complained about the size of the rooms as well, but I had zero issue with our room. Plenty of space for two of us and our luggage, and as I said, they were spotless. No on site parking but there is a parking garage directly around the corner that was also fantastic. I'll definitely be staying here on any future trips to NYC.

The people are so nice, the rooms are a bit cramped but clean and nice looking. There is a keurig with k-cups in the hotel which is a huge plus and if you ask for more, they'll immediately send more up. Great hotel!

Hotel is in a great position in Times Square, only a short walk onto Broadway also close to the subway and bus stations. The room is small & quirky but it was more than adequate for us. There is a fridge & a safe in the room too.

Just got back from this hotel, I would have given it 5 stars as the location is good, rooms clean and tidy and cleaned everyday, staff very helpful, especially the bell boys. The one thing that lets it down is the fact that there are only 2 lifts, for a 35 floor hotel that’s a bit ridiculous! However, it can’t be changed so if you are going somewhere then add at least 10 mins onto your journey time as it can take at least this length of time waiting for a lift!

The holiday inn New York City is a wonderful place to spend the day night or evening there are many amenities to take advantage of as well as the amazing near by shops. You can just walk and enjoy the complete New York experience and sight see or just catch an uber. You can take the train or go to your designated location. This places you in a central location for fun and the true new york experience. I enjoyed myself the staff will make your desires come true. Just ask.

Just come back from having a week here with the wife from the UK. A fantastic hotel with great staff all round such as John Q, Roody and the other bell boys and reception staff who's names we can not remember sorry guys/girls, always welcoming and having a good chat about NYC as well as the up and coming football season lol. Plus the cleaning staff who always made our room perfectly everyday even tho it didn't need it most days! Will defo be returning back to this hotel when we return to NYC. Thanks everyone.

This was a great, affordable hotel option in NYC. Our room was spacious and updated and the staff was friendly. My only complaint was that the very large eleevators were always full coming down so I'd recommend staying on a higher floor to avoid this issue. Also, it's right in the thick of Times Square so very accessible to tourist attractions if that's what you're interested in doing during your visit. The hotel is also mostly filled with tourists and families — not the best place if you're traveling for work.

Room was clean and quiet (unusual for Times Square area). Small room but expected, much like the other hotels in the area. Check in and out were easy, workers friendly. Great location, would stay again.

I had a room on the 32nd floor. The view was beautiful. The bathroom was modern with a large glass shower, no bathtub. The bed was very comfortable and they had options for the pillows. The room was small, but it's NYC so it's to be expected. It was close to transit and a couple blocks from times square. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and very helpful.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff and felt very welcome in the midst of the chaos of the city. Holiday Inn seldom disappoints and this property is no exception. High quality, great service and very convenient.

A great hotel for walking (2 Adults and 2 mid teens) to Times Square and Empire State. Theatre Row Diner and Andrews Coffee Shops also within walking distance. Comfortable although it could take a long time to wait for the lifts. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, Would stay again no hesitation.

The staff does not speak Italian but with some basic English you can make it clear. In the room there are towels and the sheets change them on request.

Location is convenient and central to midtown and times square. Clean hotel. Rooms are very good. The front desk staff was very cool and service oriented. Will stay again for sure.

Because of issues at JFK Airport, we had to make a very last minute overnight stay. The Holiday Inn Times Square was exactly what we needed. Very comfortable rooms and accommodating staff. Thank you!

Good location, very close to the hotel. Full breakfast to choice by letter. The only bad thing about the hotel is the waiting time for the elevator. One day we waited almost 25 min. Then the rest to-do well.

I was very lucky to find this hotel. It is ideal for tight budgets, within what are the prices in new York. The location is very close to Poet Authority. The employees are excellent. They have a lot of patience and they explain what you need. The rooms are just sized and they are very clean. Breakfasts are good but it would be better in reusable cutlery. It's all on paper plates and plastic cutlery and they generate unnecessary waste.

Good service, friendly staff and great location to go for a walk to New Jersey, Times Square and many attractions. The bad, the elevator takes a long time to get up or down.

The high rising hotel is close to major areas, like time square so entertainment is close by. Plus inside is a small restaurant that is great for a quick meal. The rooms are somewhat small but is understandable as this is New York with a good price. In addition the staff was very nice to us and made us feel welcome.

Overall a nice experience. The staff were all kind and helpful, the rooms were kept very clean. My only complaint would be the wait for the elevators. With many rooms on each floor and about 30 floors in the building, two elevators is not enough. But the location was good, just a few blocks from Times Square and close to two Subway stations and many of the theaters.

No stars, despite having booked 8 months before for 6 people, we arrived late at night and the rooms were gone. Nightmare.

The hotel rooms are comically small (yes, even for NYC; had difficulty sorting all the luggage for 3 people in a double queen room. ) Two elevators for 30+floors never feels like enough. But otherwise the hotel is clean, the furniture is nice, the shower gets great hot water, and the Wi-Fi works like a charm. I have not gone to the business center or workout facilities. All of the staff have been pleasant and accommodating.

Very clean and located at a great place in downtown. I got a 2 bed hotel and the only thing that I did not like is that the bathroom door can't be locked because it slides. I went to NY for a conference so I did not know the girl who I roomed with and at first I thought it was kind of weird because the restroom door can be opened from anyone outside. You can even see through from the gaps on the sides of the door in the corners because the door does not close completely. Other than that the breakfast was great, the front desk people where always busy, and the lobby is tiny. I would recommend this hotel because it was clean and the location is great. By the way, the view from your window is amazing. You can see all of downtown and the busy streets of people walking all night.

Surprisingly nice accomodations! The bathroom had great lighting and was extremely clean. Beds were comfortable, and had convenient charger/outlet placement right next to the bed stand. Can't speak to the service, but considering the hotel's busy location it seemed to run very smoothly from my perspective.

Considering that rooms were in high demand I didn't get charged an arm and a leg! It was really convenient brunt right next to the Peter Pan bus station as well. I feel really comfortable and the staff seemed very nice. Hands down one of my top hotel experiences!

Location is good. Im a smoker;no smoking rooms don't bother me. I have no problem going outside. However, we were told there was a smoking area outside (perfectly fine by me) & we requested a lower floor & were given it. I also read in the services booklet (yes, I read those) that there was a smoking area in the courtyard ~ all good. Here's my problem, that courtyard had at least 6 no smoking signs in it and the guest smoking area is standing on the public sidewalk. I felt lied to. Look, just say no smoking anywhere. I have more respect for that and I'd have been more prepared for all the people passing by who stopped to ask me for a cigarette.

Great hotel! The hotel and the rooms are small, but it's all clean and updated. The location is AWESOME and very central, super close to Times Square and metro stops! Great price and great staff. I would definitely recommend it and would come back here myself. The elevator takes quite sometime to get to you, but taking the stairs is no big deal. I think it's also nice that you can leave your bags in the main lobby's closet after checkout if you still need time to explore the city.

The hotel was very clean, updated, fairly quiet, and conveniently located. I have not stayed in many NYC hotels, but the rooms were very small. We had 4 people in one room — well thank goodness we had another room for the rest of our party because by the time our luggage was in the room we couldn't move. No closet. Nice bathroom.

Great location at a fair price. The rooms meet expectations with a basic bed, restroom, and nice TV. The elevators can take awhile to catch and we had an issue with not getting replacement towels. Other than that no complaints and I will definitely consider staying here again on future trip to NYC!

This hotel is not bad but also not great. The rooms are absolutely tiny. While furnished with a modern contemporary flare and seemingly fairly new the lack of room is definitely frustrating. However, like I said the rooms are furnished nicely and the bathroom is clean with good water pressure. Workout room is also in good shape with a nice selection of equipment and weights. The business center, if you can call it that, consists of a single PC that is slower than molasses. Took me nearly 30 minutes to print a single document. Overall this hotel is so so and should only be picked if other options are not available. -Amendment: The elevators here are ridiculously slow. They even have signs up warning you to plan around how slow the elevators are. All of the housekeeping staff and linens also have to go up and down the only two elevators in the building so they are almost constantly in use. You can wait sometimes 15 minutes before you get off your floor. For the price of this hotel it's just not worth it.

Great pricing and great location! Very close to times square and walking distance to very where else! The rooms are cosy, clean, and modern! The view is pretty impressive too, considering its blocked by buildings in all directions! The parking, however, I'd not included in the room rental, which it should be, but nonetheless, a great option.

I normally opt for Holiday Inns in NYC because they are so consistent. This one was lacking. The desk service wasn't great, and with two elevators, you have to factor it into your commute. It's not exactly Times Square either, you're a good two blocks from Times Square. The kicker was that I paid $50 more by booking a week in advance, the prices actually go DOWN as the date gets closer. Not sure what business practice this aligns with …

Very good location. With Metro very close to the door. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. The only downside is that in rush hour up/down in one of the 2 lifts can take your time.

WOW — simply amazing staff, as many, many other reviewers have noted. Bridget at the front desk is an absolute star! They are welcoming, friendly, and extremely customer focused. I can't wait to get back. The location is wonderful and the room was just perfect. This is a really busy part of town with just about everything for tourists at your fingertips. The rooms are small because it is NYC, but everything is well appointed, very clean, and designed well. If you are going to NYC you are likely pretty excited to be there. This hotel will both support and encourage your excitement.

It is a very central hotel 5 minutes from Times Square, with very friendly and attentive receptionists who help you in any doubt and above all a very clean hotel with very cozy rooms.

Room for 4 with two double beds. Extremely small room with no closets. Nice bathroom. Good price for the area. Central but on the 8th with the 38 when night falls it shows a certain bad atmosphere. The service sometimes does not leave enough toilet material. Coffee maker in the room that not every day was spare.
