I went there because they had a rooftop bar and a secondary restaurant all of which were closed. We also had problems with our air conditioning not cooling our room. On the plus side it started out well they let us check in early.

The hotel is a good value central stay. Staff was awesome, breakfast was great. Rooms were modern & very clean. Great view from 24th floor. Excellent location.

Renovation underway right now so it's a bit tight in the lobby area and they're doing breakfast in the Sky Room temporarily. Across from Port Authority Bus Terminal, easy access to ACE subway lines. Rooms are tight but many have been recently renovated and refreshed.

The rooms are clean and beautiful. The Continental breakfast is very nice. However I didn't like the system lounge, you have to go from your room to the lobby to get a staple to go back up. Very inconvenient that you can't just show your room key. My friends and I went to a local bar instead. All but one elevator stopped working one morning so getting down from the top floor for breakfast took longer than necessary. The staff is very friendly and the service was great.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Our room was rather small but clean and cozy. We came with about 40 other friends from Texas who all stayed at this Hotel as well, which made for an exciting week. My floor happened to be on the second floor with a terrible view of an ugly wall… and a rooftop with trash. I asked if they could switch us to another room but changed my mind the next day since we were rarely in it except to sleep. The breakfast was great and the wait staff very attentive… I really liked the perks of not having to pay to get in the roof bar as well. Another plus was the accessibility to transit… Time Square … Central Park… Carlos (cake boss) bakery and so much more… Yep we'll be back!

I book rooms at Fairfield Inn Hotel all the time and usually I give good reviews but today I really can't I am very disappointed I paid for a room for a night through priceline and I was given a room with a broken tv, which im pretty sure they already knew the TV was broken when I informed them the TV wasnt working they told me it was nothing they can do now I have to sit and lay down in a boring room all night.

This is a comfortable hotel — — the workers are generally accommodating, the room arrangements are small but comfortable, and the breakfast provides plenty of options. The room rate is reasonable for the city, but definitely not cheap. If you enjoy going to sky bars, they allow hotel customers to move to the front of the line for the hotel elevators. (This little can get exceptionally long at times, so this can be a nice perk. ) As with most NYC hotels, there is valet parking available for a reasonable fee.

This is one of my "go to" hotels when I am in the city. It's not fancy, but it has all of the amenities, good service, friendly people and an awesome location. No shortage of restaurants and other services in the area, and very close to the Port Authority as well. The rooms are good, clean and fully functional. I've stayed here at least 10 times in the last 2 years, great hotel! :-)

For the last 5 years I've stayed almost exclusively at Marriott hotels. This experience was horrible. When we got there the staff was rude. The floor to our suite was soaked and smelled like pee. I hope the two were not linked but I can't say for sure. Then at night we tried to turn the air on… it didn't work. Room two… the hot water didn't work in the sink. The air was so loud I had to turn the TV volume to 79 (it didn't go to 80) to try to tune it out. And either due to the roof top club or the sheer number of rooms we waited more than 5 minutes on several occasions to get an elevator. Which we did because room 2 was on the 24th floor. Oh and by the way each time we went to the lobby, it smelled like old rotten boiled eggs. The only reason they didn't get 1 or 0 stars was because of location and night staff. Which were both wonderful. Maybe if they got rid of day staff who were wonderful the last day because some important person was there, maybe the hotel would be better.

We visited NYC for the weekend and enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's a small hotel in a perfect location. The parking is outrageous but so is everything in the city. Had a great nights sleep in a comfortable bed.

A very good place to stay. My stay was very comfortable. Staff behaviour was very cooperative and food was good. All the services & facilities were worth there. I enjoyed the pool too.

Friendly staff at front desk. Rooms are clean — a little outdated but clean. Breakfast was good — could use better organization but it was good and staff was friendly. Wait for the elevators can be long but I would stay there again.

I would recommend it for its location. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and it is quite modern its facilities. The beds are very comfortable and you can receive Correspondecio or packages and keep your suitcases. The only bad thing is the breakfast which though is complete the food variety the place is very small and sule have a line for breakfast.

Excellent value for money, excellent strategic location 2 steps from Times Square, friendly and polite staff, rooms of small size but clean, nice view on the skyline of Timesquare (photo), great to move to 100 m the bus terminal and to 300m the Subway, also inside is on the top floor SkyRoom a nightclub where to have a drink and listen to music.

Reception, cleanliness and breakfast fabulous, just like the Wi-Fi connection. All right for a totally effective stay if you are passing through new York. Very central and well connected as it has nearby metro stations and a bus station at the front door of the hotel.

Clean, breakfast with various products x all needs, convenient to Metro and Times Square. Small rooms, but we were in 4, bathroom with all the amenities.

This place is superbly located for transportation links and tourists 5 minute walk from Times Square and 5th Avenue 30 blocks up to Central Park 50 + blocks down to the Statue of Liberty. It's a Marriott so you know what you're going to get clean tidy fresh room with two large double beds, ironing board and iron, large TV with full network channels and minibar. Bathroom comes with all the usual stuff plus a pull-out shaving mirror the hotel itself has a privately run sky bar on the roof with great views across Manhattan. The biggest thing that amused me about this place was breakfast everything was disposable, plastic knives forks spoons cardboard coffee cups plates bowls even the cereals and fruit juices came individually boxed now that's easy for the stuff to clean up but not very environmental friendly. The photos are from reception looking straight out to the Port Authority building and left and right up and down the road.

The staff was extremely friendly! The room was nicely set up and we had a beautiful view of the city. Great variety of foods for the complimentary breakfast (though it was your typical hotel quality food). I would happily stay here again. You rarely get a quality stay at a hotel for as low of a price as we received.

The rooms could have been somewhat larger; of the 3 elevators some were not working causing a lot of inconvenience to guests; there was not enough breakfast for all guests Monday morning! The excuse was that it was a holiday! Come on guys… planning ahead, thinking out of the box!

This hotel's greatest asset is location, location, location. It is mere blocks away from central Times Square! Pros: It is clean, and every staff member I came across was cordial. The complimentary breakfast offered each morning was decent. You get a bunch of choices: bread, bagels, waffles, coffee — style cakes, cereal, oats, yogurts, fruit, even sausage & eggs. The eggs aren't anything to write home about, but they're warm. Beverages are great: 5 different juices, milk, hot cocoa, teas, and they boast Starbucks Coffee as their house served (which it is, and it's fabulous). The beds were warm and comfortable! Cons: You will wait forever for an elevator! Literally 15 minutes most times. 6 people fit inside (uncomfortably), and there are 30+ floors. While there, one elevator was out of service. Also, you will need to valet park your car of you drive $$$. The elevator and parking were the reasons for 4/5 stars. I would stay again.

We stayed in room 1801. The rooms are typical small New York size accommodations. The room was very clean. The breakfast area was bussed consistently. There was an good selection of foods. The bellhop was very friendly and helpful. He stored our bags at check out and helped with taxis and directions. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. I used the Marriott app to check in. The room was ready on our arrival. The hotel even provided ear plugs for street noise. Excellent stay.

Tiny rooms (in the words of the philosopher Taylor Swift, “Welcome to New York… now we got bad blood”) and only 8 of those tiny rooms per floor. Location is great if you want to be adjacent to a bus station (Port Authority). That said, they’re nice at the front desk and there’s “free” breakfast and Wi-Fi. All this for over $500/night midweek in October!

Check-in was smooth. Room was nice but cramped. Shower pipes rattled when set to a proper temp. Bed was comfy. TV was large and in HD. Street was noisy. Overall fine. Just not 5 stars.

I managed to snag the last room available. The halls were small, but that wasn't too bad, as there was only 6 rooms on our floor. But my only complaint was that the the TV we had was weird. The color balance and sharpness were off, and I couldn't adjust it. The proximity to the tourist spots was the most appealing aspect of the hotel. The breakfast was icing on the cake. I enjoyed my stay.

Incredible location (near Times Square/Hell's Kitchen). The staff was incredible helpful and accommodating. There's a rooftop bar which closes at 12m on weekdays and 2am on weekends. Highly recommended place especially if you're only around for a weekend trip. Train ride from JFK airport is 50 min.

Was eligible for an upgrade but didn't take it. So instead they brought free gifts to my room. Super nice and thoughtful. Very good customer service. Only complaint was breakfast, not as gourmet as I was expecting.

I had a suite on the 32nd floor facing Chelsea and points south. Incredible view! The staff was very nice and the rooms very clean. They have a roof top night club that is unbelievable.

Strategic location. In front of the Metro and 2 steps to Times Square. The rooms are very large Empty fridge But you can put everything in it. We put the water to save a bang. Breakfast Noisy the air conditioner.

The location, room, and service was great. The rooftop bar has a nice view, and the staff is very friendly. The only thing I will caution future guests about is the size of the room relative to other fairfield hotels. If you're expecting a normal (larger) room, which is silly given the fact that you're in Manhattan, you will be slightly surprised. Nothing negative, just a forewarning to others. I greatly enjoyed my stay and have booked again for the next 2 weeks.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is a little cramped, but nice. The shower, however, doesn't have a backsplash to stop the water from getting on the floor. You have to leave a towel there and it is soaked when you get out. Would have liked to go to the Sky Room, but it is only opened Thur-Sat. Close to be Broadway and Times Square be away far enough from the crows when you are ready to go back to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast was very good, just go earlier than 9am. We would definitely stay again.

The room is clean and very central area, just a few minutes walk of Times Square.
CONS
The double room is rather small for 3-4 people. Cleaning (at least in our case) passed through the evening, around 3 PM, which sometimes we picked it up in the room and we had to indicate another time. For a European breakfast something scarce, is just you can prepare a toast with butter.

More than good experience, spacious clean room, typical American breakfast, great location. When you get out of the hotel you find the subway.

Well besides their location being a nightmare to get to, I sat in my car for 15 minutes and still nobody came out to valet park my car, then check in took forever, they required a security deposit which is ridiculous. Then after being out of my room for 9 hours I returned to a dirty room that was never cleaned. The elevators are slower than dirt, there is no vanity in the bathroom and not even a toilet lid to close and use to put things on. I could go on and on. Just stay away from this hotel. It was terrible and unfortunately I've stayed here several times, not at my choosing. It was for work functions Every time the experience has been the same.

Hello, in October 2015 I was the hotel for 4 nights in the hotel coffee, breakfast, staff, the room is good, wont close. However, my stay in the shadow of fraud is — hotel has ripped off to me really, the hotel has unauthorised my Abbot travel day (according to booking) a parking fee from my credit card ripped off, while it is not bothered my signature to fake — a signature that has to do not in the least with my. So — be careful!

Small but clean and well appointed rooms have everything you need. Comfortable beds, friendly staff and great location for getting around. Not so pretty outside, but I felt very safe. Get up early if you want breakfast downstairs, or just plan to use a tray and eat in your room. No refrigerators and busy elevators were my only issue… even so, I'd stay here again.

Location is excellent, Times Square, walk just a few minutes, around walk, while the subway is also very convenient, a few minutes can reach a lot of line, and take the subway to JFK Airport and easily accessible, top floor (the 32nd floor) of the bar can view it. The room, although not big, but very clean.
