The pictures only look nice but going there I was so mad because this hotel look nothing like the pictures. The hotel look like an homeless shelter. With dirty sheets. I was so horrified that I had to cancel my reservation and go to an other hotel.

The manager was nice and accommodating. I would recommend this place for a short quiet stay! So close to everything and affordable!

This is the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in. The condition of not only the room, but the hotel itself is terrible. The hotel should be condemned. My first night I noticed my TV had sound, but no picture. I called the front desk and all they could say is we can give you another room. The next morning I tried to book somewhere else, but with short notice all the surrounding hotels were booked. So I was stuck there — I received another room. The condition of this room was no better. While ironing my clothes on the bed because they don't have ironing boards — the TV fell off the wall. I called to inform them about this. It took the attendant over 30 minutes to come check the room. Again they offered me another room — I moved to another room: still very dissatisfied with this room. This time the TV sat on top of the microwave and a small refrigerator. Just a horrible experience. I asked to speak with management and the response I got was you can reach him between 8am and 2:00pm. I've called 2x since check out & still no return call. I would not recommend this Hotel under no circumstances…

Looks far worse than the pictures displayed. Staff are not friendly. Very expensive for what it is worth. Very ordinary breakfast. Wi-Fi did not work on the floor we were staying.

Don't stay here it's ugly small and extremely dirty : (so one night me and my bf had long hours at work so we decided to just stay at a hotel and wake up for work next time I know better just go home. There was blood on the bathroom door way.

This hotel is definitely an experience! Everything went wrong here lol. The bathroom had holes all throughout, the room is cockeyed with a slanted floor and holes in the carpet. My sister had 2 granola bars in her bag and in the morning we found them in the middle of the room with holes in them, the hotel has rats! Overall the service was fantastic and the staff was nice but for the price definitely not worth it!

I was recently at this hotel. For a start there was no hot water. They had spoiled, desoues of a long journey that you can not shower, fatal, we had to change room because the mattress was sunk. Noisy but not power, there is a window that seems to be bricked up you do not see the street, apart from how dirty was glass there are no closets to hang clothes, in order to fatal do not recommend it for anything. The only thing good is that this very central and the staff are very friendly especially CARMEN a greeting.

I had a great time great local is everything this but also I have to be fair I do journalist as a living. Please put in some kind of a lift to make the hotel more helpful to everyone who wants to stay there they only have stairs not one lift. I also know this building is in the middle of a remodel job.

All I have to say Frank is LMAO. I've been to Turkey while I was in the Navy and we all got robbed there I wont be attending this hotel.

It wasn't the NY Inn, it was the Pubic Hair Inn. I've seen more cleanliness in Turkish prisons. Entered the room through a dented, scratched up steel door that had 4 locks on it. Walls were dirty and had holes in them. There was a steel top and bottom locker, like you may have had in high school. Inside the top portion was an extra blanket that was just bunched up in a ball and thrown in there. With a pubic hair on top. The bottom portion had an extra pillow, with pubic hair on it. I looked at the bed closely, to find pubic hair on that pillow, too. Against my better judgement, I peeled back the blankets to find, you guessed it, some more pubic hair. The AC had pubic hair on top of it, and grime around the old switches to turn it on. The bathroom had a sink that was too low to the ground for a normal sized person, with a pubic hair on the drain. So I opened the shower curtain, which had mold and pubic hair on it. The drain, surprisingly, had pubic hair on it. TV had dust on it, but somehow was pubic hair free. Maybe I couldn't see it that easily since it was black, I don't know. I regret not taking pictures, but between the filth and musty smell throughout the whole building, I wanted to get out ASAP. Stayed for all of 10 minutes, which was spent searching for another hotel on their Wi-Fi. I got charged for one night, but would have given my firstborn son to leave sooner. The price was high for such a dump, even by NYC prices, but it did include breakfast.

Of course this hotel is not a palace, he suffers a bit of hotel amateurism, but there for him its exceptional location 2 blocks from Times Square and the exceptional friendliness of its staff.

Very old building and free breakfast had only coffee, juice and bread. Room are really small and bathroom even smaller with no hot water.

Pros:. Cable TV that worked? Cons: I'm not a picky denizen of hotels, however the state of some of the stairs/hallways/rooms was just downright depressing. * Half-finished construction littering the hallways * "Condemned by the FDNY" signs on the front door and on many hotel room doors * No hot water * No toilet paper (pretty sure when I asked the front desk about it they took it from another room) * No breakfast as advertised (just coffee and tea in a neighboring Subways is NOT breakfast). * AC didn't work in one of the rooms (we had to ask to be moved twice before finding a room that didn't smell like Clorox and/or looked like it was just used) Overall? This place should be embarrassed to consider itself habitable even. Do NOT go here. There are plenty of similarly or even less-priced places all over NYC that you can choose from.
