Customer service is terrible. Never more!

Customer service is terrible. The receptionists and waiters aren't helpful or empathetic with their guests. If you want quality and consistency and good service, this is not the place you are looking to stay.

This place was amazing are you kidding? Fab location, creative interior, inspiring and great food served quick … steps from the elevated Chelsea walk way which is beautiful.

We did not stay here but were treated with such graciousness by the staff. We were a group of 10 women out of our element and needed a place to use the restroom and possibly a drink waiting on a club to open. The bartender was closing down but offered us a last call, we declined as we did not want to do that to him, they allowed us to use the restroom and rest ourselves for a few minutes. The server there was super gracious to me for a personal matter that I will never forget. NYC is not all rude people as portrayed. If I ever stay in NYC again the Americano is where I will start my hotel search!

Cool, easy hotel with a great staff. Rooms are very small and beds are situated on the floor. Breakfast menu is a bit constrained but very convenient for business in the neighborhood.

Just went for breakfast. Atmosphere is great! Nice clean calm. The eggs Benedict was fantastic. The omlet was plain. (Paid to give 5 stars would give about 4stars)

Nice hotel. Staff is very friendly and room is clean. Expect an interior design unique and sexy, but with lack of usability. Definitely form over function. Would recommend for shorter stay.

Never had a bad experience here. They are accommodating in their lobby for a passing drink or coffee, the upstairs dinner area serve great food and sports awesome skyline views. The people are lovely and it's usually not a terrible wait for a table.

Hi – I just wanted to update my review. I threw an event with Hotel Americano and had a dispute with them. However, thanks to Ronny Baroody, the Area Director of Events, my concerns were quickly and expeditiously taken care of. He got on the phone with me, made sure my wishes were taken into account, and everything was sorted out. I was really touched, I´ve never had anyone from a hotel reach out to my like that. I would recommend anyone through an event at Hotel Americano as long as they are working with Ronny Baroody. Ronny you are amazing! -Will, a happy customer.

Niche hotel with highly industrial and minimalist aesthetic. Service level is polite but moderately experienced staff. Personally prefer a slightly cozier feel to my hotels (less concrete) but still a good option.

I booked an event with the Hotel Americano May 11th, 2018. I had a prestanding relationship with Hotel Americano, but they were under new management. I assumed everything would be fine. I was promised by their director of Events that they would staff my event with 3 bartenders and DJ equipment. Well, fast forward to a week before the event, I voluntarily tried to meet with them because I knew they had a history of being disorganized, and sometimes promising things that they could not perform. Well, lo and behold, I was about to get hoodwinked! I was informed by their new GM that instead of getting the three bartenders I had been promised by their Director of Events, emails attached, I would have to double my investment if I wanted to get the three bartenders that promised. Isn't that illegal? Isn't an email promise a contract? Anyways, the GM was slick talking, I got the impression he was trying to hustle me into signing a contract I didn't want to sign. It wasn't a good feeling. He felt slimy. He assured me it would be fine — ok! Fast forward to the day of the event and lo and behold everything was wrong. Two bartenders instead of three for two thirds of the event, The DJ equipment wasn't working, their engineer confirmed to me in a conversation, and their floor manager confirmed to me that actually that third bartender I had been promised? The GM had assigned them to the floor above. He had lied to me all along just to get me to sign a new contract.

Very stylish Hotel. We've stayed at some Hotels in New York. It is the first Hotel to have a large Wardrobe in the Room. That's a Reason to come back! Large Towels and Toiletries from Lelabo. There's nothing to complain about in the Room. Location of the Hotel is very good. Breakfast service is a bit messy. Some Of the Staff are unskilled and unmotivated.

GOOD: Great beds (slept well), location, usually very competitive rates, design forward, only 50 rooms so never crowded, most of the staff (day and weekdays) is friendly and efficient, Le Labo toiletries, pet friendly. BAD: Rooms have no chairs, no tables or shelves. No place to place personal toiletries or room service meals. Concrete floors yet no slippers (brrr), carpets in hallways looking warn and smell, weekend and overnight staff is surly and unfriendly. SOLID CHOICE if you looking to be beside the High Line and the room rate is under $200.

Stayed here a week ago. Great location. Just wished the rooftop bar had been open.
Comfy rooms even with the mattress on a raised platform on the floor. Staff were warm and friendly. The photo strips of a young Barack Obama in the lobby were a pleasing surprise.

Horrible mattress. No chair. Feels like an upscale trendy hostel. I would have embraced all the other quirky and trendy things, if only it were a comfortable room.

Amazing food. Wonderful folks who are professional as hell. Saturday night, lots of B & T's but my friend & I felt like we were the only two customers in the place. We had a lot of great food, which the staff gets to play a hand in menu-wise. Which is something every restaurant should do. Who knows better than the service professionals what real feedback is? An empty plate says a lot. In any case, have Oscar, the ruggedly handsome Ecuadorian bartender make for you an "Evelina. " It's everything umame in a glass. You won't regret the choice, the ambiance or the bill. We had a lot of first class fun and will be back.

Cocktails are good and service is great. Options on the food menu at the bar are pretty limited but looked good. The place isn't loud and we can hear each other talking which is nice.

I'm going to take a brunch there was a group of cuban music which made us the stay very pleasant. The food was very good and the service also.

Basically after we left I had a £50 charge on my card for a missing room key. Surprisingly not mentioned when I checked out. I called the hotel and to their credit they offered to refund me. I should have cancelled my card there and then. Over two weeks later I had not received the refund and after continuous follow up was told this was never made, a mistake on their part but I could count on the money being back in my account the next day. Fast forward to the next day and I’m surprised to see £150 has now been taken out of my account from the hotel. This was money that had been set aside by me to pay bills. However, this is irrelevant. I rang the hotel and was told that the money was taken in error and should be back in my account next week. Conveniently six days after my bills will be due :) :) :). My bank has cancelled my card so they can’t take any more money out I would just say be very very careful before you stay here. As a good measure you might like to have your bank reissue your card when you get home as I’ve had 3 transactions now come out of my account due to errors by their staff. Fraud is a very stressful thing to happen and I am just thankful it wasn’t a lot more. I am hoping that they are true to their word and I do get this money back. However, I am also not holding my breath.

The hotel spotless, excellent care! The restaurant has delicious food.

Its comfort, well designed, the food and coffee is good. The server was very attentive. I'd recommend trying this restaurant for breakfast.

Nice little boutique hotel with compact but comfortable rooms. The bathroom is very small, and have no counter space to put anything. They also do not supply you with plastic laundry bags so remember to bring your own for your dirty clothes. Breakfast here is not bad, the coffee was good. The location is very nice since it's right on the Highline. Easily access subways and within walking distance to many restaurants. I would stay here again if the room rate was under $250.

Great boutique hotel in New York. I love all of the Habita Group hotels and this one is no exception. They always make me feel like a valued guest and the rooms/common areas are very stylish. Great rooftop bar as well.

Where design meets hospitality. This incredible hotel features not only amazing architecture and design in all of its elements, but also has incredible food and service throughout their multiple bars and restaurants. Highly recommended for a long, short or even wandering guest!

I've been to their bar and restaurant multiple times, and had an one night stay there. It's last minute booking, but the price is more than reasonable. So far so good. The bartenders at hotel lobby are absolutely amazing, friendly and professional. I'd say they have a good drink menu. The rooftop bar though, is kind of slow. It has a good view up there. the restaurant staff are nice too, the food per se is… not bad, considering the price, and it's kind of slow even at its not-so-busy hour. the room is impeccable, in its own way: it's small, but looks bigger due to the minimalist, zen-like design. I only stayed one night, so I got everything I need so far. Mind you, it's a small hotel, so they don't have much facilities, like a gym or spa.

Although the rooms are small, the service here is awesome. I even left something behind and they worked with me to ship it back the same day! No complaints at all. Very centrally located if you need to be by the Hudson Yards.

I've been to their rooftop a few times in different seasons, and paradoxically I recommend avoiding summer. During the hot season, the drinks are poorly prepared by rushed and messy bartenders, the tiny pool is packed with loud crowd, music is disappointing. Go there off season, it's much better! Restaurant downstairs is decent, a bit too brunchy for me but they play cool live music sometimes.

Very classy looking hotel. Our group went up to the rooftop bar for drinks. It was a Wednesday night so it wasn't crowded. Nice views, they also have a pool if you want to get your feet wet. Drinks were on the strong side.

Very nice hotel near Chelsea garden. Lovely roof, food, restaurant and bar! Rooms are comfortable and quiet which is not a given in Manhattan! Recommended.

The rooms are different from a lot of other hotels. The bed is on "the floor" and you can see out of the shower but cannot see in. Pretty cool. The rooftop bar is amazing! It is slightly on the pricey side for this area and the pool is only open until 6pm.

Had dinner here on Valentine's Day. The ambiance was perfect and the service and staff couldn't have been any better… so welcoming and attentive. The meal was a phenomenal… creamy risotto, pâté that melts in your mouth, and perfectly prepared rack of lamb and steak. We will definitely be back!

A bit too cool for me in terms of the room decor and functionality. When I walked into the room, I thought, very cool, really like the decor and design. Then, when I started living in the room, I discovered:
— The mattress on the floor bed is tough to get in and out of.
— The wood box sleeping area looks cool but be careful of the drop when you have to step out of the box in the middle of the night to pee.
— The hanging fireplace is cool looking, but does not work. It is just taking up space.
— The little sink in the bathroom again, looks interesting, but there is NO COUNTER SPACE. My wife had to use a stool to layout her bathroom stuff.
— The denim robes… I put it on to take a selfie to make fun of the robes. Who would put it on when getting out of the shower. The denim is not exactly soft and absorbent.
— For $550 per night, I expect accessible outlets to charge my phone.
— The staff was excellent.
— The lobby and restaurant were also interesting and well run.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The location was highly convenient to where our events were. The bed was comfortable and the lighting in the room made it feel very welcoming. The bathroom was a bit small and the lack of counter space, the shower and the toilet were all inconvenient / awkward.

On Sundays they have a very nice salsa band grupo irek playing noon to 3 pm. Great place for coffee and brunch. The portions are in the small size but very delicious and the attention is really good.

I've been in a couple of hotels of Grupo Habita in Mexico. It's nice to see this group evolving internationally, The hotel design is very cool, rooms are not really comfortable no place to seat, bathroom has no space to put your hygiene supplies. Room service options are very limited. Hotel staff its average not so friendly, you can see around couple of managers with snobbish attitude. Glad to see a this firm growing internationally, however Benefit/cost I will look for alternatives next time in NY Chelsea.

The staff were very attentive & the design is nice & clean. But the rooms are small and expensive. The rooftop is beautiful, but the pool literally is only slightly larger than a bathtub. Didn't try the bar or restaurant.

I ate at the restaurant so this is a review for that. I reserved a table outside for dinner for 8 people (special occasion) which they agreed to over the phone but when we arrived (15 mins early) they said we couldn't have a table outside and they were extremely rude. When I walked in I said to the door girl " hi, I have a table booked in the restaurant" she practically shouted at me "whaaaat? You have a table booked in the restroom? " yes, very funny. On top of that the food was awful, expensive and ironically there was only 1 restroom for the whole place. And it was dirty.

A couple of weeks ago my boss flew me over to New York City for two days for an important client meeting. A whistle-stop visit, I left London on late Wednesday afternoon after a couple of hours delay and arrived late evening New York time. After a hop, skip and a jump through immigration and a torturous wait in the taxi queue, I was soon in a yellow cab flying through tunnels into Manhattan. That first close up of the skyline just before we took the Lincoln Tunnel gave me butterflies — my last trip to the city was a whole eight years ago with three schoolfriends on a travel bursary. My boss stays at Hotel Americano so we booked me in there too. A Design Hotel in the heart of Chelsea, it's a seriously sexy looking place to stay. Arriving at midnight with an early alarm already set, it was like a dream come true to be greeted with this room. Low lighting welcomed me in along with the in-room iPad softly playing Classical music (I later discovered they had some pretty good playlists for party preparations) and that bed? It was deliciously comfy and the perfect way to end the day after a quick shower with everything Aesop. The meetings went well so we celebrated in style, starting at the rooftop bar which turns into a pool during the summer.

Only tried the restaurant. Expensive for what it is. A $23 burger with a patty that tasted as if it had just been de-frozen. No thanks.

I am staying here now and I rented a sweet problem is there is not one comfortable place to sit in the hole room the bed is a mattress on the floor they have a beanbag chair in the corner a two peace couch if you don't sit in the center of it you'll fall off and do lean back just ridiculous.

I went to a birthday party at the rooftop bar here at the Hotel Americano. I loved it the drinks were not pricey compared to other luxury hotels in New York. I liked the views of New York and the food as well.

Contemporary, laid back and cool. The staff were warm and helpful. The rooftop lounge and pool bar were buzzing with a sophisticated artsy-crowd. This place simply has a great vibe. It's hard to put your finger on it. Everything just feels so right.

I was there last year. It is a very stylish hotel with a great room design. I love the bed on the floor and if you have enough money Lamborghini Manhatten is round the corner. But if you are near the roof top bar you will hear the music until late night. Very good music but if you want to sleep early book a room on the lower floors. That's the reason for the missing 5th star. I will come again.

The Americano is a nice design hotel. Not super. But nice. Minus: — Unfortunately the rooftop bar and pool area was closed. — The beds were way too soft. — A little overpriced. Plus: — Great area close to High line and away from tourists. — Nice bathroom products from Aesop. -Great coffee.

The Hotel Americano has very stylish rooms. The interior is well put together and who at the Design value sets, here you can find certainly a Highlight. The situation in the 27th Street right on the High Line is quite good. 3, 5 km to the Empire State Building, or 2, 5 km into the West Village are a good starting point. The rooftop terrace offers evening a good view. The Pool has approximately 1, 50 m wide and about 8 metres in length, make sure there is no Wettkampfmaße. The Service was OK. The attached Restaurant with a Mexican twist offers a good Breakfast and a decent food selection. The Cocktails are recommended.
