The rooms are very small, the heating makes so much noise q does not let you sleep, so if you do not turn it on you freeze cold in it, the hall is so small q is pathetic, there are no sofas to sit on, and the worst the cleaning service, of 6 days q I was only cleaned one day, When complaining they put me excuses of covid, Vamos has nothing to do, and the horrible location, the subway far, and there is not much around it.

The worst hotel ever. This hotel was part of a package through the travel agent. On arrival the hotel seemed very dirty and run down. When we arrived at our room it was absolutely disgusting, tissue stuff in the lock, curtains covered in dirt, draws falling apart. It was a very unsafe hotel, the door did not lock. We advised reception of this who wasn’t remotely bothered and with us being two young females in New York we had to find an alternative hotel due the state of this Holiday Inn and it being unsafe. Luckily we found Hotel Mela, who give us a lovely free upgrade and was highly accommodating. We found out that during the lockdown the Holiday Inn was used for the homeless who did not take care of the place and it hasn’t been put right since. We were not advised of this when booking, nor was the travel agent.

My son and I stayed there October 2, 2021 to October 9, 2021. While my stay I got robbed $540 while I was in shower I left my purse out on my bed after I just counted it! Got out of bathroom went to put my phone in my purse and cash was gone just the cash! Manager wouldn’t talk to me, I had to call IHG head of holiday inn! It was terrible I think someone working there stole my money! Just be careful!

The service is terrible. They do not clean the rooms, the restaurant staff discriminates against tourists and they have a scam with the breakfasts that are included in the reservation because for four guests they only give two breakfasts.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. They use the little restaurant as a public bar on the weekends, so you're not safe because everyone can get in!

The staff was absolutely fantastic! They couldnt have been more competent or helpful. The real stars of our experience with the hotel. The hotel is VERY conveniently located if you want to get into the heart of things quickly. The rooms are clean and functional despite the (obviously) small size. I was very happy over all with our stay and would definitely return again!.

We checked in on Monday 7th October.
Tuesday at noon time they gave our room keys to ANOTHER guest who just walked in when I was getting out of the SHOWER!
An extremely shocking experience for me and the guest who was very apologetic and mentioned reception gave him this room. Tuesday late evening, ROOM IS not cleaned, towels not changed, so we call reception to complain and request towels, they said but no one is staying at the room! I was like well I AM! Unbelievable!
They send someone with towels. Wednesday we ask for water bottles as we ran out, and we got them.
Today _Thursday 10th October at 9.30 pm an extremely rude receptionist decides the hotel doesn't provide water bottles to guests! He was the only receptionist at the desk and 8 would be filing an official complaint tomorrow as well against him and I really hope he sees this complain because at 10 pm I go again downstairs to inquire about two packages my husband had delivered for me and he says there are no packages in my name!
Luckily I peek into the package register and there is my name written TWICE and I point it to him!
Unapologetic he goes grab the stuff and throws them to me.
I understand people can have rough days but that was outright rude and disrespectful!
I really am out of words and couldn't wait for check out tomorrow 11th October to write this review. Extremely terrible service to say the least.

The reception staff does not answer the phone or e-mails. I assume that they stole a package that arrived after I left the hotel, since they did not send me the evidence of the withdrawal I asked them repeatedly. Hector Solano and Katherine Espinal have not answered until today.

So I booked at this hotel but upon arrival my aunt had a medical emergency and we had to leave. I spoke with the manager who assured me that I would get a full refund with no issues. Well that was Jan 25, 2019 and I am still calling about this refund. I have spoken to several front desk managers. When I called today they placed me on hold and terminated the call. I called back and they kept hanging up. Then they started sending me to vlocemail.

Stayed hear 4 nights over St Patrick day, very clean and restful beds. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Fairly central half way between central park and Station island. Loads of eating places. Directly opposite is a restaurant, bar had a meal there last night "Steak" one of the best I've had in a long time.

The hotel itself is pretty standard but worked perfectly for us. Clean rooms, fair pricing, and 5 star staff! The front desk employees went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful visit! They gave great advice on what to do and where to eat/drink in Manhattan! I wish I could remember the woman who checked us in to give her a shout out and thank her for her suggestions. (Pretty blonde with 17 yr old son who suggested the night bus tour).

Stayed for 2 nights for a short stay in New York. Compared to many of the other prices in the city, cost was very reasonable. The staff were super friendly, rooms were really clean and everything was as advertised. Very close to 2 Subway stations for easy access to the city and also 5-10mins walk from Time Square and Maddison Square Gardens. Perfect for couples wanting to visit New York for a few nights. I would definitely go back.

Good hotel at a great location. Air conditioning working awesome (although pretty loud). Also really clean! The only downside is that the rooms are tiny. Still: the hotel is at a reasonable price, and considering the location you really get the value out of it.

I stayed here in June 7-8. Booked through Booking. Com. The hotel charged me extra for no reason, and while the front staff accepted that it was a mistake and that they would revert the extra charge when I was checking out, they never did so. Despite several calls to the front desk, nothing was done. I feel cheated. Will never stay at not only this one, but any Holiday Inn ever again.

Had an awesome time there. The staff was super friendly and helpful always greeting the guest. They always had a smile on their face. The room was always clean when we came back from hanging out in the city. The hotel is conveniently near everything. We will most definitely stay here again.

Worst hotel EVER, 1 — Shoebox size double bed room, the pictures are VERY DECEIVING, there is no space between AC and bed so air cannot circulate, three people with luggage are not not very comfortable in it. (Room was however clean) 2 — I am a Spire Elite Member and asked for early check — in, I did not show up until after normal check in time and was told my room was still NOT READY and if I waited for 10-15 minutes they would "upgrade" me to a room with a view — After my wait they had no upgrades available so my view was of the building right across the street. 3 — Business center printer was not working, the staff were aware of it but did not bother to try to fix it. 4 — Elevators were constantly breaking down making wait times over 20 minutes. 5 — Restaurant was filled with flies, the food and the service were terrible. 6 — Last night there (Thank goodness) room smelled of cigarette smoke, when I called the front desk they sent a maintenance guy up with a bottle of air freshener that he squirted twice in the hallway and then promptly left. 7 — Front desk staff could care less and did not offer any apologies or solutions when presented with my complaints. I travel for business over 8 months a year, never have I been in a hotel as uncaring and unprofessional as this one. STAY CLEAR of this place!

No coffee cups, cable didn't work all of today and was a known issue. Staff had no updates. Long waits on the elevator. Lack luster hotel. Food was just meh. The carpet made me want to eat shoes. I'd rather go somewhere else. Dust bunnies appeared out of no where. Bathroom super tiny and hard even a smaller person to be in. Convenient location as train is only a few blocks.

Very rude front desk people including the manager. Ramona and Naomi are bad for business. Holiday inn should retrain their staff on hospitality and customer service. The room being extremely small is one thing but when you have front desk staff with rude managers it just makes it worse. I will NEVER stay here ever again and contemplate staying at another holiday inn period. Things that went wrong: They booked the room under my guest's name. When asked to change (upon checkin) she said she couldn't do it until we checked out. Then upon check out they made a big issue out of changing the name on the reservation to the right name when my husband (guest) asked. The manager claimed that I made a mistake on the reservation not them (not true). So there was a yelling match between the manager and my husband. And all this happened in front of other guests. Part 2. My husband asked for a spoon last night. Ramona said they didn't have any. Holiday inn did not have utensils. 3. They didn't have complimentary water. Naomi is unfit to be manager working in the hospitality business.

I like this hotel for quick trips when I need to be in either the Flatiron or even Union Square. While the rooms are a bit snug and the bathrooms are a bit dated, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is great. I stayed again last week and I literally couldn't hear any street noise at all and slept great as a result. You could spend a lot more money to stay somewhere else but this is heavy in the rotation for me as I visit NYC often.

First of all, the Holiday Inn Chelsea does not deserve any stars. I stayed at the Chelsea for two weeks while on business. During my stay, I reported issues with tile falling from the ceiling into the bathtub. I was told that it would be repaired but that never happened. I also requested to the workout room cleaned because it was very dirty and unsanitary. I used the workout room everyday during my stay and reported its condition numerous times and was told that management takes pride in the cleanliness of the facility but it was never cleaned. Also, I was awakened at approximately 6:30 a. M. On a Sunday morning by someone trying to force their way into my room. However, they were unable to enter because I had the latch on the door and the force caused it to jam open. I could hear someone run and jump on the elevator as I tried to get the door opened, so I immediately called the front desk inquire if housekeeping was trying to enter my room despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door. I was told that housekeeping had not started making their rounds and someone probably got a hold of an inactivated card key. I was also told there would be an investigation. On Monday, I called to get the results of the investigation but the young lady at the front desk who took my claim told me there was no claim on file. When I told her that she was the individual who took my claim she told me that she would call me back.

Great location within walking distance of Pen. Station. Lots of coffee shops and food options. Rooms look pretty new, though they are typical NYC small and tight. The bed was firm, and the carpet and rooms looked clean.

The hotel is in the very heart of New York City. An ideal base to stay with numerous restaurants, bars, theatres & transport are on your doorstep. The hotel is very reasonably priced for New York & rooms are quite large & has everything you need for your stay.

Hotel is OK. The location is great. Staff is also very friendly. Room was a bit cramped but for being there really only sleeps, completely adequate.

Nice and clean but very small, although I think everything is like this here. The prices are normal to be from NY and the area is good, close to Time Square (15 min walk) The hotel cost 960 DLLs for 4 nights for 4 people.

Very centrally located in Manhattan, the room is too small for 3 people, the facilities OK. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Very small rooms. Climate control is constantly siphoning cold air off. Sound and noise insulation from neighbors is almost zero.

Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are a bit dated but staff keeps them very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was great especially the butter pancakes which I would recommend with plenty of syrup. Location is excellent to get to all the major attractions and I recommend the bus tours with the New York pass.

Bad, horrible.
Amazingly small rooms, where there are two "double" beds for them… for us they are a square and a half, in four it was terrifying.
Can't open your suitcases.
And much more importantly, if you ever happen to pay attention to the credit card, there has been credited a non-existent amount.

Great location, excellent service, clean beds and awesome staff! Thanks for making my stay a pleasant one! I will definitely book here again. The restaurant is pretty nice too (yummy but a bit pricey. ) Check in is at 3P but if you arrive early they stow your luggage free of charge, same if you have to leave afger your check out time (11am).

I stayed 2 nights and it was very good, friendly and helpful staffs, took good care of my luggage also. Thanks to Cesar and the other guy for helping me out with my luggages. Taxi to JFK airport was very good service. I will definitely come again.

It is the typical tourist hotel of average quality, is good located on Sixth Avenue, the best thing is that the rooms have a splendid view of the Empíre State. The worst thing is that they have minimal reception, have few employees and take time to register, you have to wait for the elevators and the rooms are small but of course being in New York has that.

Structure that is not distinguished from most hotels of the same category. Very bad breakfast. With booking there was an offer with breakfast included with no specs. In the morning we discover that x children can choose only 2 or 3 things between two alternatives, while adults have coffee and juice and a choice of pancakes or eggs with French fries and bread (both not good) … Cappuccino, hot chocolate, brioches are expensive extra…

Great location, located at a strategic point, easily you can get to the center, but the service rooms to how scarce. Cleaning room poor lenses in delivering the room clean, we were made the room not before hours 16, 00

The room is great. I ate in the Hotel restaurant it made me sick. I had to wait for over 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me others came in after me and was immediately served. I asked for cream and sugar for my coffee. 10 minutes passed by I get a menu. I ask for cream and sugar again. 10 more minutes waitress asked for my order. I asked for Turkey bacon and 3 egg special with wheat toast. 5 minutes later still no cream nor sugar. Coffee is very cold by then. Waitress said No Turkey bacon and it's okay she will give me regular bacon. I stated I didn't eat pork. A waiter came and stated he is sorry no Turkey Bacon. I ordered well done sirloin steak. I told him I never got cream and sugar. Finally I got cream and sugar. I ordered Steak. He never asked how I wanted it cooked. I was so upset with my service I didn't request Well done. Steak was very rare, white toast instead of whole wheat. Fruit salad did not have anything but Melon and pineapple. Others got strawberries, kiwi, cantaloupe, apples. I ate it anyway except the fruit salad because I was starving by the time I got my food. I sat down to eat at 8:28. I got my food at 9:42. My bill was over $29.00. I came back to my room to vomit over and over again. I wanted to sightsee but I do not feel good. Hopefully I will feel better later so my trip isn't a waste of time or money. Other than the experience at the restaurant I love my room. It is very comfortable.

Great hotel. Perfect location. Close to metro and Penn station. Very clean and surprisingly quiet. Even the elevator whisper quiet. I will definitely stay there again. We had drinks in lobby lounge, full bar!

I've stayed at this hotel several times and it's always a pleasant experience. The rooms are small, but normal size for NYC. This last visit we were in a corner room which was very very tiny. We had four people so it was extremely tight. I will be sure to request that we do not get a corner room again. Otherwise the stay was fine and the service was great.

Location OK but old Hotel and a little neglected.

My daughter and I just stayed for 4 nights. I would recommend this hotel as the staff was wonderful. The concierge was especially awesome and went out of his way to be helpful! The only negative is that the room was small. We never had to wait for the elevator as others have mentioned.

It is a very nice place to stay and from there you can move to any point in new York.

I asked for a wake up call.
Nothing.! So I thought I would miss my transportation PR Mtl… Sad.
& I had no sympathy from the young employee. That's twice that.!

Hotel staff was very nice but that is the best thing about this hotel. Checked into my room pulled back the blankets on the bed and there was a ton of long hairs all over the sheets and makeup stains on the pillow cases. Called for new sheets and they were left on the floor outside of my room. This is the first night of my stay and I need to get out of this hotel.

Fantastic location! The staff has been the most friendly & helpful people we ever encountered in a NYC hotel. Validated parking prices, nice outdoor seating, bar, breakfast bar or room service, clean, quiet… believe it or not, 15 th floor room, can't hear squat outside the window. Elevators are a smidge slow, so be patient! Close walking distance to Madison Square Garden, great restaurants, Broadway.

The place: All the same on foot.
The rooms are very clean and well cleaned every day. The bed is very thick and comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. A missing towel, a call to the reception and in three minutes time, the towel was delivered. The breakfast was good and copious with real croissants French:) More gentle the manager of the restaurant was adorable, professional and responsive. I would recommend this hotel!

Despite the reservation made 8 months before for 6 people, we arrived at midnight and the rooms were gone… They wanted 165 bucks apiece more taxes to sleep one night in the Dependance… Absurd. Nightmare.

This review is for the hotel bar. Genti is the best bartender! He's attentive and kind. The chef is also exceptional.

There's a million of these types of hotels in the city. This one seems to be showing its age; one elevator was essentially out of service (not labeled as such but repeatedly opened on my floor before continuing up to almost every floor with no passengers, non responsive key panel) leaving long waits for the lone remaining elevator. Small rooms (OK and expected) and very basic lobby.

I traveled to NYC to visit after many years of not being here and found this hotel online while driving around. With such short notice I was surprised that I found one with rooms open and at such a low rate, compared to the surrounding area. Overall the hotel staff was friendly and courteous, the rooms are really small, but that was expected. As far as tourist locations go, you end up being halfway between Central Park and the World Trade Center, and Times Square being about a 15-20min walk. I also recommend trying out the surrounding restaurants and cafes.

Good location for wedding we attended at Chelsea Piers. Rooms on the smaller side and no microwave or mini fridge, however can request mini fridge. Front desk offered to store milk for our toddler if we bought it and gave it to them. Clean bathrooms. On site restaurant was quick with order and provided complementary breakfast. Food is average quality.

Well-located hotel (subway, Times Square at 10 Min walk, Best Manhattan McDonald's on the corner etc).
Nice Service and small terrace nice and enjoyable after a day of walking.
The downside: the rooms and hallways are a little narrow and the insulation is not at the top when the neighbors are noisy…

Good location in New York.

Some Front Desk staff had no clue. Some did not care. One promised a free breakfast for the poor service without a voucher. Water was always cold after 2 showers. TV was out of order daily. When I requested for 2 face towels and a hand towel, a guy knocked my door and dumped 3 bath towels and 2 bath mats on my hands and left abruptly. "Call if there is a problem " but the problems were so constant it was becoming embarrassing. The house keeper changed heat pump to AC so we came back to a chilly room each nite.

Great city hotel. We can recommend this hotel. We stayed 7 nights here. Yes the room you are quite small but typical for NYC and completely ok there, so we have slept there only. Service super, thanks to Hector he was very helpful and polite. Room service and cleaning was also superb. We found perfect location. Central to all the sights. We had not booked breakfast because we wanted to eat in the localities nearby. We will book here again, Hector ;-)

This hotel is small but compared to others in newyork its fine. The best part is that there is a nice formal restarunt at the lobby of the building and its open almost all day which makes it really convienient. The Wi-Fi is amazing and last of all the loction is unbeatable the subway is 2min away and everything is on a 2 block radius. Btw service is really good my TV didnt turn on the guy came quick and fixed it.

If you have a thing for afropuffs listen up. If you like them everywhere, this place is for you. If you prefer comforters that have been interwoven with curlies you should stay here. If you like barely squeezing in the bathroom and have the door hit your knees, towel racks installed in the shower, and blow dryers that have a nuclear melt down which gives third degree burns and melts your very expensive shoes, I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you really desire to propose to your beautiful girlfriend on Friday night but can't until Saturday night, book a room NOW! There's hair everywhere. Small, coarse, thick, black, curly afropuffs EVERYWHERE. In the sheets, pillow cases, comforter, towels, wash rags, floor boards, it's in the vents, the curtains, the blinds, the remote controller battery case, the very aggressive afropuff curlies are in the air you breathe here. If you're into that, book a room and tell them I referred you. If not, STAY AWAY!

The rooms are really comfy, but really small. There's a nice TV and a good desk, but for some reason there are no safes or minibar. Really wish breakfast was included. The hotel has free Wi-Fi everywhere so that's good. There are many dining options in the area, and the subway is about 1 block away.

Booked a room three months ahead and when I got there they didn't have a room at first until I made them look for my reservation and they found it. We could not get in on the date we were supposed to arrive two days earlier but the air port was closed, so I called and I was told no problem. They took all my money and no room don't go there.

Good hotel except they do not have safe box in the rooms. They offered one at the reception but they did not have enough. In 20 years this is the first time I arrive to a hotel with no safe.

When I checked into my room, the first thing I did was wash my hand at the sink. The water was hot and burned my hands. I walked over to the desk and noticed a letter from the hotel that states "Please run the water for 5-10 minutes before showering or using the sink, they had been working on the water pipes and there still MAYBE SEDIMENTS IN THE WATER". Turns out the water was not hot but instead something in the water burned my hands and by then it was already too late. The water burned the hairs off my skin and left it very dry and began to flare up red. It has been over a week and the rashes on my hands are still healing. This is very unprofessional on the hotel. The staff should have advised me to run the water at the desk BEFORE me checking in my room. Also they don't have a microwave, so your stuck eating leftovers cold. I stayed from 11/20/2014 — 11/23/2014.

I enjoyed my stay at this location. I was on a business trip and stayed for two weeks. My room was a decent size and could comfortably fit two people. I believe there is only one elevator, so you must wait for it to arrive. The staff is friendly and professional. A small bar is located in the lobby and the bartender was pretty cool. If you want a quick bite, there are a few restaurants down the block, including a Chipotle.

While the rooms are a little on the small side —for a family of four with accompanying bags for a month-long vacation— they were very clean and comfortable. I loved the pillows especially. The staff were great, being quite accommodating and easy to approach (eg. When I tipped the porter, he gave our kids almost an equal value of goodies). My only complaint would be that the cappuccino served me at the outdoor was over-priced and not very nice at all, but that is making a comment about the restaurant and not the hotel.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly person at the front desk. They gave us information about cab prices and gave us all the info we needed for staying at the hotel. The room was fine. We used the free wireless (which was not that reliable) but I also used the ethernet cord to get a better connection. We were in a non-smoking section but sometimes, when we got on the elevators, we'd be sharing the elevator with a smoker and it smelled pretty bad. We had breakfast at the diner downstairs. The food was good, though we did not seem to be top priority for the servers.

Very nice people here. We had a amazing view of new york. The food here is a little exspensive though. But its near alot of fun places to go to.
