Not recommended during Covid! It used to be a nice hotel, and it’s best is its breakfast. But due to Covid they’re not offering it. They aren’t doing housekeeping labors unless requested. Not a good time to stay. I had to visit NY for some reasons, but it’s definitely a good time to stay at this hotel.

Love it here, the perfect spot to relax, rest and just enjoy the peace. Service is top rate. I am so glad that this hotel is where I get to experience. I will return.

This is our second stay.
We like the location and the friendly staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
We were at a lost as our Go Airlink airport pickup showed up 1 hour late due to the UN Convention.
We were so worried that we may miss our flight. Miss Aru from Concierge desk was very helpful and assuring. She helped us by calling Go Airlink to check the location of the driver. She even suggested other transport options, just in case things don't turn out as planned.

Nice Staff Big Problem people coming off the streets coming in for breakfast! I counted 13 while I was sitting. One person actually told his friend to blend in. I actually had to wait on scrambled eggs because 1 guy took enough for 6 people. I told front desk they said that they not to confront people. This not only affects customer experience but your bottom line. Have someone by stand by front door and ask guests to show ROOM CARD. Promlem solved.

Great location mid town Manhattan. Clean and modern hotel with excellent, hard working and friendly staff. Rooms are modern and clean, free Wi-Fi and hotel PCs. Prices vary a lot, there can be a US$100 difference from one day compared to the other.

Very close to the convention center and a metro station. Times Square was about three block away and many interesting restaurants are near the hotel. Only two elevators in a 36-floor building can get a little frustrating at times. Especially during check in and check out hours. The management can definitely improve based on my check-in experience. As expected, the room was small but clean however the furniture is dated and worn. It's about time for the management to refurbish rooms. My room was next to the elevator, but didn't hear anything; however, I could hear conversations through the exhaust vent. Not the best breakfast but very convenient for some of us not wanting to go out in the morning to search for a restaurant. The lady working in the dining room was super friendly and a welcome surprise for a grumpy morning person like me. I've actually stayed at a hotel with an even smaller room than this property. It was W Hotel and the worst part was I paid triple the cost of staying at HIE. It was so small that only time I needed get up was going to the restroom. Even that only took 2 steps to take care of business.

5 stars because we got what we paid for. Room was clean, TV worked, staff were extremely helpful and nice. Room is small but we paid around $125 for a night in ( ( (Manhattan) ) ) with free breakfast. That alone saves $ and keeps you from wandering around in the A. M. Looking for food. You will smell weed at some point, welcome to NY — get over it, enjoy life while sleeping in a clean safe room for cheap.

When we showed up the national booking folks had messed up our reservations (one bed instead of 2 for 4 of us). The hotel was full, but the lady at the desk dug through all the rooms and found a way to take care of us. She was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but the folks from the hotel found us seats (and we had not even asked, they just jumped right in and took care of us). We were amazed at the level of service and friendly nature of the staff. Everyone you see smiles and says hi to you and really makes you feel welcome. I would absolutely stay here again!

It's quite a decent hotel! Located very well, 5 minutes to the subway, to the Brooklyn Bridge 15 minutes. The rooms are not large but clean with good blood, there is a coffee machine. Doia two give only one pair of slippers) )

Our stay here was great! They are super friendly as soon as you walk in! Check in was easy. Valet parking only which we preferred ($70+tax). We were able to leave it there for 24 hours so we got to walk around town the next day! While we walked around after check out they continued to store our bags until 9pm I was told! Breakfast was great! Tons of options… Healthy and not so healthy. Room was great! Everything was clean and so comfortable! Smaller room but we knew we were only staying in there to sleep. We were out exploring the town the rest of the time. Very close to the theatre we were seeing a show in and close to tons of restaurants! Walking distance to Time Square! Just a great experience overall!

When we drove in they told us that the road was closed, which I totally understand is out of their control, and that they were not doing valet. When I asked for guidance on where to park, they were little to no help. We were left driving around a city that we did not know much about, trying to find somewhere to park over night that was somewhat close to our hotel. This was not an easy thing to do! Also, the elevators only worked sometimes, so that was a bit of an issue. The rest of the hotel was pretty nice though.

Everyone is incredibly helpful, prompt and Super friendly! Not a single negative thing to say. Breakfast included is hot and fresh, at all Holiday Inn Express hotels. You can register to be a member, for free.

Excellent food and varied. Very comfortable beds and very friendly staff at a fair price for what it's worth. Sure would come back.

Helpful staff, bad hotel infrastructure. First of all, it's really not in Times Square… the banners outside the hotel read Garment District. That said, it's still pretty convenient to lots. The real problem is that the elevators and breakfast area can't handle the amount of people who stay at the hotel. Try to stay on a lower floor so you can easily use the stairs instead of waiting 15 minutes for one of two small elevators. The staff were super helpful and nice, and it was clean. It just doesn't run that well.

Clean, good value rooms — not quite as good as some other HIE sites. Staff was pleasant. Disappointed that I was allocated a room opposite the elevator and next to ice machine, considering I was checking in with a baby — consequently, I hasten to add that rooms are quite noisy! Every sound coming through very loudly. Good location. Probably wouldn't stay at this site again, however.

Very nice Hotel Breakfast is in a very small room with the basics. There are no sausages but save the file. The hall also small. The elevators work very well (important for the plants you have) and the rooms are not bad. Great bed, hair dryer in the bathroom and new amenities matches the days. It's a good choice.

Looks reasonable and practical, and close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal where you can hie off to other locations in the East Coast. Came to meet with a college classmate who's visiting NYC with her daughter. The small lobby easily gets filled up with people who come and go. I even got to charge my phone by one of the USB's of the computers in the lobby. The place looks clean and well maintained.

Excellent place to stay. Clean room, very comfortable bed, iron, coffee machine and towels provided. Staff very nice and helpful. Very close to most attractions and the room had a fantastic view (32nd floor). Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel.

The rooms are very small but I think that's typical for New York. The location is great for the price and it's close to the subway. The location is South of Times Square by a few blocks. The view is nothing to write home about but my kids loved seeing all the buildings from the window. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is spectacular and the staff that maintains the breakfast area were very attentive and courteous. The selection included an assortment of breads, fruits, yogurts, milk, juices, eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, and pancakes. I am probably missing a few items because the selection is large. Car parking is $70 and you must pay that fee every time you bring your car in. I recommend against renting a car or bringing a car to this property. There are nearby parking garages but they cost more. Overall the hotel is clean, the location good, and the staff is great staff.

The hotel is very well located. 10-15 minutes walk to time square. A lot of Restaurant in walking distance and a good connection to busses and trains. The rooms are not big and the furniture is a bit outdated, but functional and clean. There is a building side in front of the hotel, which could be loud if your room is to the wrong side — 01.2018. The included breakfast is very good and the service personal very friendly. As the breakfast room is not huge, it makes sense to follow the suggestion from the hotel when to go. Overall it is a good value. P. S. The shuttle service to the airports should be used. Good price options, friendly drivers and good support from the front desk of the hotel.

The worst service ever received. No courtesy, uncomfortable people, very annoying and tired at the reception… without any interest to attend the guest who arrives with a reservation made months in advance.

It is a very small hotel with small facilities, saturated elevator, saturated dining in the mornings, basic breakfast, artificial and identical everyday, hotel to sleep and enjoy the city.

There is almost no attention in Spanish at the hotel. Despite this I recommend it for its location and quality. Breakfast is very good. Very comfortable rooms.

If your in town for business this is not the place for you. Staff lacked urgency and communication between each other. Professionalism? Lowest of the scale, and worse part, manager was always to busy to speak to me. I was told “they are in a meeting” repeatedly. I’ve been to many hotels of various chains and this probably was one of the worse experiences. Not to mention, I am a member! It’s sad due to great location among a few other things though I couldn’t enjoy many of them due to my horrific experience there.

Great amenities. It would have been nice to have a minifridge but it's fine. Not really much in the way of views unless you want to look at the building across the street but the location is fantastic and they have breakfast in the morning and that is all I needed.

Affordable, clean and friendly/helpful staff. You can't beat the location! Spacious rooms (as far as NYC rooms are concerned). We were on the 29th floor so it was relatively quiet. (Not easy to find in the city). The only down fall were the *two* elevators. (Super slow during peak hours. ) I was thrilled to find a restaurant in the lobby area. Only visited once. In my opinion it was over priced (breakfast) and the service was slow. But very convenient and delicious! Overall a great hotel, one that I would recommend and would consider coming back to!

Excellent. Elcuarto was small for 4 adults, but for two it is excellent. The breakfast menu is very good, close to everything on foot. For Latinos there is a Cuban restaurant on the 5th and 46. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Regular. It is small (like everything in new York) The breakfast lasts little and the TV did not work. I don't think I'd stay here again. The only good thing is the location.

Great location, and the room size is great. Breakfast options were good. There are only 2 elevators, so plan your morning wisely. I did have to wait at least 15 minutes to get on one, and it was very crowded. The rest of the day seemed to have more ease going up and down. Rooms are clean, service is friendly.

Got a queen b/r on 27th Floor. Wait times at the lifts are way too high especially during the mornings. Valet overnight parking is way too high 70$. The b/r does not have a fridge, does not have a micro wave. I hope these reasons will suffice to give it actually a One star. I am giving it a two star just for the Valet Parking — Car was safely and promptly returned to me when asked for.

Sorry for the delayed posting. I should have written this review months ago but since I'm returning to NYC and looking for a hotel it reminded me about this. We stayed here for New Years… In addition to the fact that our entire floor smelled like cigarettes, the hotel neglected to clean the room before giving us access. We didn't know this until it was too late. When we went to bed we all agreed our sheets smelled super weird and funny. But, since this was not the only bad smell in the hotel, we chalked it up to bad upkeep on the part of the hotel. It was not until the next morning when we found a dirty pair of men's underwear behind the chair near the window, that we realized the smell on the sheets and pillows was that of vagina. Sorry if that's vulgar but it's the truth. They had made the beds and everything LOOKED tidy but it was far from clean. I shudder to think that I slept on top of someone's fresh sex juices. Will post a picture of the undies once I locate it to authenticate this story, because I realize it's hard to believe. But yeah… disgusting. Disgraceful that you pay for something and get THIS. Updated* Found the pics!

Was able to get early check in and the process was easy. I had an Easter basket delivered to the hotel for my daughter and they were able to hold it until we got there. There are only 2 elevators and if I remember correctly there were 35 floors. The elevators took forever and at one point they broke during the stay. Since the elevators took so long I did not realize right away that they were broken as there were no signs to state they were broken. They did get fixed pretty quick. The vending machines were not working on any of the floors. The spot that they have for breakfast look pretty big but it gets ridiculously crowded. I had asked the concierge rep her opinion on how early I should leave to get to the Statue of Liberty to make it in time for our reservation and she suggested that I leave 30 minutes early. I am so glad that I did not listen to her because if I had I would not have made it in time.

Very central structure, Spartan. Low efficiency with elevators, only 2, of which one that failed frequently. The staff was very helpful To go back.

Central place, small rooms, American breakfast plentiful but little varied and crowded. Only 2 lifts and at certain times you have to wait even 5 minutes.

It's sad where it's located. Hard to spot out. Breakfast is complimentary but they literally limit your choice. There's no live egg station and not much seats. You would often find people standing or having their plate straight to their rooms. If the lift doesn't work, it's another sad story of waiting till someone gets off the same floor. Rooms are decent, cozy long bed. Guess that's the only good part of this place.

The hotel is good with friendly and concerned staff to assist you. It is very busy also so you need a ton of patience and forward planning skills to get what you want. For example, if you need toiletries call housekeeping 30 minutes in advance so you don not have to wait long. It is just that many people book in here and the staff could be very busy. Breakfast us great, coffee is overflowing as well as juices. I enjoyed my stay here.

A 5 star for the location (only a few blocks from Times Square). For the rooms, luckily it was only sleeping because quite small (we were 4). I have a doubt that the double beds are not standard (I measure 5 ' 4 ' ' and I was touching at the end of the bed). We had to do acrobatics to close the bathroom door Hasan. I put all the towels in the bath on Saturday morning, Saturday night when we came to take our showers, there were only 2 towels and 2 washcloths (I repeat, we were 4). Big weak point: elevators. There are two (fortunately) but I have the impression that they do not provide the poor. Not uncommon that we had to let pass 1 and sometimes 2 elevators as they were full. So we wait five minutes and more. Not the end of the world but still irritating in the long run. The lunches included are durable, a pretty nice variety for this kind of buffet. If not for parking, a valet went parked the car (a huge plus according to me in NYC! ) $70 US for 24h on the other hand. All in all, I keep this hotel in mind for my next stay but look at the other possibilities.

The staff here on today was so unprofessional called manger about a compliant he came right down talking to the supervisor I complained about jokingly because he didn't know I was on site. All other staff (overnight staff a young man was amazing and so helpful helped me with water when vending machine was not working to take my meds) Michelle at check in was helpful and welcomed Us to New York wonderfully. Had a dirty shower with someone else's hair and dirt on the wall for two days after asking for it to be handled twice. All this with dealing with a cancelled flight today and having to change hotels due to not feeling welcomed anymore has me very upset.

Couple blocks away from Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Chelsea Market, Times Square, Broadway. French restaurant across the stree, Ocabanon. Great selection of wine, beer an of course good food. I strongly recommend this hotel for your next visit to NYC.

Typical tourist hotel between the cheap and the middle in Manhattan. Striminzite rooms with tiny cupboards and beds a little too soft but clean and functional. Cramped and crowded the local breakfasts, and the quality is not lofty.

It's our first time here in NY and we stayed here in Holiday Inn Express at Madison… All the staff are helpful, friendly and always smile. They had a really good service, good breakfast and very convenient to stay here because it nearby almost to all attractions… And of course I spoke to customer service in front desk to ask some tips to enjoy our days here in NY and they gave a lot of info specially the lady named Edes. She is very knowledgeable and nice to us. She always smile. We met Lucy and Mary as I watching them they very attentive in replenishing the breakfast bar and they always smile too. And we did early check out but we still have time to go shopping so Holiday inn had a special place to put away your belongings then come back. The lady named there Tenielle is very kind person too to accomodate our stuff… 100 percent we are satisfied will come back here again… My family loved it and we enjoyed it.

We had a king bed on a "high floor". The room layout was cool. The bath tub was killer. And the king bed was out of this world.

I have spent 2 night at the hotel to attend a work meeting in NY. The hotel is very conveniently located, letting me go on foot to the meeting location, beside being in Downtown. The price is really well aligned with the offering. The room is ok, maybe only the wardrobe is a bit small. Very quiet, I could sleep very well. I could also have breakfast in the hotel: good variety of food and beverages. I forgot the toothpaste, and they brought immediately a complimentary tube to me. Should I come to NYC again on a private schedule, I could likely choose the hotel again.

Check in was easy but there was only one person at the front desk and there were a lot of us waiting. The room at night was noisy because of a night club next door, this made having a good night's rest pretty difficult.

When we arrived in New York from Penn Station stayed here for one night. Rooms at the front desk was too busy but not bad, staff were very helpful. Room is not very big but comfortable enough. Comfortable bed, sheets clean pillow is the usual choice. Air conditioning is very efficient but it's too noisy, at night, on the surroundings of the hotel is a bit of insecurity … … One thing I must mention is that nearby bars, restaurants and public transport are within easy reach of the scope. Included in the cost of breakfast is good, go early … … Or just waiting to talk to a group of people get it. Overall good.

We had a wonderful six night stay at this facility. Our room was clean and well maintained, and king size bed was very comfortable (much to our surprise). The room size was adequate, and perhaps a bit nicer/larger than our expectations, when you consider typical accommodations within the city of New York. Breakfast each morning offered wonderful selections. No matter your diet, there was something for everyone. The hotel location was perfect for our needs, within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, the 9-11 Memorial, and of course very convenient to Madison Square Garden (2 short blocks away). Staff were exceptional. Always accommodating, pleasant, smiling, and helpful. We felt as if they were truly pleased to have us as guests. We also appreciated the digital safe in our room, that I believe they could add to the hotel online amenities. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to my friends! On the negative side, though not a result of the facility or staff, and even though designated a smoke free environment, smoker (s) on our floor were disrespectful by subjecting other guests to their hazardous and toxic habit throughout the night. Our solution was to stuff towels around the door that lead into our room from the hallway, which proved to be effective. Being highly allergic to second hand smoke, I then had to deal with the toxins only during the short walk from our room to the elevator.

Absolutely horrible place to stay, staff was so un-frindley and very rude. I work for a moving company and travel a lot to New York City and upstate New York, I tend to stay at the Holiday Inn because they are actually very well maintained, clean and for the most part friendly. I came to this hotel with two other guys and ask for a room with two beds and a cot, once wr got our gross dirty room whice was very unpleasant, we waited anout a half hour n realized they never brought the cot, when I called they said they actually can not give me a cot for the size room that I had, my room was tiny and when I asked to change rooms they said they could not help me. I work with one guy who smoke cigarettes which I know is disgusting and of course I know that there is no smoking allowed in the room. Well they charge me for smoking in the room anyway which was $300 when I promise nobody smoked in the room in fact the one person who does smoke smoke the right outside right out front of the building. I called to dispute this and they said there's nothing they can do to call the credit card company. So now I'm in the process of that I vote this place is horrible many other places in the city you can go that are actually friendly and will help you this place was dirty and very unfriendly I will never stay at any Holiday Inn as long as I live and that's a fact and it's because of this place.

My girlfriend and I, Stayed there for a weekend on the sixth floor, and I was thoroughly impressed. The rooms are small and quaint, but they're impeccably clean, well decorated and very comfortable. We also ad an amazing view! The breakfast was great. I loved the variety and the awesome pancake maker! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would most definitely stay there again!

Room was downright frigid, even with heat turned up full. Our last two nights the service staff never bothered refilling coffee or coffee cups for our in-room coffee machine, and left the tissue dispenser empty. Bed comforter was dirty. Place was noisy, as well. Breakfast was included with the room, but the area was much too small for this size of hotel, and always too packed.

The room was relatively clean and the bed was comfortable. One lamp on the wall was missing a screw causng it to hang a bit precariously. The fan also gave off a musty smell. Can't heat the proximity to MSG for the price though.

Left my expensive shades (glasses) in the office room (which has cctv/camera), 5 minutes after I came back and it dissapeared! Got stolen so quick, there is NO SECURITY or what so ever! Manager who was in reception couldn't help me as he DIDN'T KNOW how to check the video from the cameras! Told me that gonna try to find out, I went downstairs 5 min after him and catch him watching Facebook! (Bravo) Never stay in this hotel, the following letter i'm going to send to NYPD as the glasses cost more than 1000$. Many thanks for making my hollidays awful. Worst Regards and Never stay in this Hotel.

The room itself was nice but the bathroom sink and tub kept backing up ad taking forever to drain. The house keeping never came at constant time, they would come around 1030 to 3pm. The last day before check out a member of house keeping came at 840 am to see if we left yet and came back two more times when check out was 11 am.

Excellent location in Chelsea, close to the Madison. Breakfast passable good hotel and attention in the lobby. Recommended.

Staff were unhelpful and rude except one of them. Well,. With NY standards they were considered OK; I had a confirmation for two queen beds and they put us in one King bed. Room was very small (That I understand), sink had a large crack (not good). They said breakfast starts at 6:30; but they just started at 6:30 and breakfast bar was not ready until 7:00.

I've stayed here on three occasions. The location is great, convenient to Penn Station and the Chelsea area. The rooms are always clean and staff is friendly.

I stayed here on a recent trip to NYC. It's very conveniently located in a nice area so we were able to walk to a lot of places. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was very good and typically very busy so get down there early.

We made our reservations extremely last minute and there was availability! The rooms were very neat and clean and served our purpose — a warm place to sleep! The free breakfast in the morning was perfect — pancakes, eggs, bagels, muffins, sausage, yogurt, cereal (hot and cold) juice, coffee, tea, milk — we couldnt have asked for more! The rate for this hotel was amazing considering the proximity to Times Square and a paid parking area right across the street. The staff were all very polite and welcoming! This is my hotel whenever I come to New York.

We had a very comfortable king sized bed which was very welcome after a long flight. The room was quite small, but in a decent location just near Chelsea. There was a flimsy semi-see through glass door between the bathroom and the bedroom which was a little strange. The room rate included breakfast, which was nothing special but definitely has a good variety to kick start the day.

Everything I could ask for at a great price. I was on a business trip and just needed a nice, clean, comfy, quiet place to sleep and get some work done. This holiday inn was awesome — really great service, good location for wandering around, good food nearby.
