The price was affordable and the location was perfect for where I was working. The room was clean and comfortable.

Ac in many parts of the building doesn't work, where it does, not well… wallpaper is peeling, and where it's off, they've just spread spackle over the walls. The rug is worn to the bone, and there's a different smell (not air fresher) in each compartment of the building. The ac unit designated to the hall outside our room spat hot air and groaned all night as unsuspecting guests would try to turn it on (guest services was well aware it didn't work). Additionally, the locks on the exterior doors were broken, so anyone could go in and roam the building through the night.

I only stay there because of a convenient location but tbh, it's an OK hotel for the price, every time I stayed there room was clean and staff was friendly. Just makes me lmao how people have to be absolute dicks and post pictures of rooms that are obviously not rented or of gym that no one uses. Mouse traps in hall or bad carpets have zero impact on stay overall. Some people just need to cry about everything.

This is the most horrible hotel that I have ever stayed in! This place isn't worth $30 a night, much less the $92 a night that they charge! This place should be condemned. I will let my pictures do the talking. As if the bugs, mousetraps lying around everywhere, broken bathroom towel rack and black mold wasn't bad enough, you walk around and see many of the rooms have been left with the open door knob holes and trashed. And the gym, yeah what a joke! 1982 called and wants their gym equipment back. And a lovely prison directly across the street, which we had no idea since we checked in to this dump after dark. It is absolutely disgusting here! How can anyone keep this place open and call it a hotel is beyond me! Absolutely sickening!

Really nice staff. The first room I had smelled horribly of smoke. It was the non smoking room. The next they gave was much better. A fairly reasonable place to lay your head for the night. 2.5-3 stars.

Having read the reviews, I wasn't sure what I was going to walk into. I needed a hotel with airport shuttle for one night. The cab company they use for airport shuttle had bad reviews but I ended up with a quick and kind driver with no problem there. The staff at the hotel was kind enough to hold out my reservation for me when my flight was delayed by hours so again no complaints there. The hotel itself is just old. Old building, old decor so could definitely use an update all around and maybe a spraying (I had a spider in my bathroom) but for a quick night, I was fine. Breakfast is nothing to write home about but it's the typical hotel breakfast — donuts, bagels, wrapped muffins, oatmeal, cereal, waffle machine, coffee, hot water for tea. And it's free. If you need a hotel with more amenities, with an updated feel this isn't the one. If you need to sleep somewhere, this one is literally two minutes from the airport and maybe 15 from the mall. It's acceptable.

I usually don't post reviews but I'm hoping whoever owns this place sees this. Booked this place online as there were not many available places to stay around Albany last night as we were traveling. Should have left when we 1st got there but thought we could manage for 1 night. 1st room, the toilet leaked all over the floor, windows wouldn't lock and the floors didn't look like they had been vacuumed in sometime. So, we switched rooms and the 2nd room smelled better. Pulled rge sheets back to go to bed and there was hair and what looked to be a pee spot. That was the final straw. Got our money back and ran out if there at 10:30 last night. So don't go there until some changes are made. It is just plum filthy. Terrible experience!

Complete dive of a hotel. The entire building, including the non-smoking room my family had, reeked of old cigarette smoke, the bed had no support left in it whatsoever, the air conditioning did not work (either to cool air or even move it around! ), the window did not open, and even if it could, the screen was destroyed, bathroom fixtures were rusty and some broken, grounds were unkempt and overgrown, and the location, while nice and close to the airport, is across the street from a youth correctional facility and next door to a car rental and shipping depot. This was nowhere near worth the $99/night rate for the park and fly package. I will gladly spend more for future trips to never stay at this dump ever again.

Located close to the jail and airport, this Days Inn is horrible. The building reaks of cigarettes, as if the hotel only became non-smoking an hour before our arrival. In the room nothing worked or was connected. You could only watch TV of you could figure out the proper way to hookup and program the cable box. Air conditioning was an almost laughable myth. First you have to plug it in yourself. Then it doesn't cool the air, just blows the hot air gently around the curtains. Don't bother trying to call the front desk. Your phone phone, clearly marked as being from a room on a different floor, has a dial tone, but none of the keys work. It would matter anyway, there is no maintenance staff to fix the air conditioning, out phone. While there was a mini fridge and a microwave, they had be negated for some time. Freezer burned food had become one with the tiny freezer unit in the fridge. The bathroom was usable, but only just. For a family of four, only two bath towels, one hand towel, and one wash cloth were provided. The empty tissue box was left in the wall dispenser with no replacement available. One roll of toilet paper was provided on the back of the toilet, as the two holders were broken. Black mold is clearly visible on the drop ceiling and in every corner. The bed was a long size as advertised. Being extra soft and springy, the toddler found it worked best as a trampoline. Moral of the story: the Hilton, a block closer to the airport, is worth the $45 more a night.

Only posting one star because I can't post none. The first room they put us in had no shower head, handle on the shower (yeah, the thing to turn the shower on), TV wasn't hooked up, took 4 room keys then the "maintenance guy" to get us in the room, and there were no sheets under the comforter. When you looked at the hotel from the outside I could swear there were missing windows. Doesn't look like any landscaping upkeep had been done this year. There was a cigarette but in the corridor. Nearly all the ceiling tiles were waterstained. Where room number plaques had fallen off the wall they wrote the number on the wall. The sink in the breakfast area had no handle. The second room we were in had working plumbing but the TV didn't work and the phone to call the front desk didn't work. I could go on but I think I've made my point.

We walked in and the receptionist had sweat pants on (very unprofessional). Then there was a gentlemen by the name Brandon that was sleeping on a cot in the office the lady at the front needed help numerous times and he just kept saying just sign for it. He had no clue what he was talking about. Then after we had paid and even had confirmation on the room she tried stating that she wasn't able to rent any rooms because the system was down. It smelled so bad like cat urine I had to plug my nose the entire time. Finally after over an hour at the front desk, her trying to find someone to check rooms to see if they were clean (we ended up checking to see if they were dirty/clean) we checked into a room. The room was by far the worst ever. The most disgusting hotel/room I ever seen. It was horrible and I wouldn't recommend this place to someone that was sleeping outside.

Watch out for this hotel. I booked through travelocity and paid ahead of time. When I showed up the one staff person on duty was imminently confused and said he needed a credit card. I explained I already paid and that is how they had a reservation in the first place, since I had never talked to the hotel. He said they just needed the credit card to technically complete the process. Big mistake. A day after I left I found out they ran my credit card again, charging me twice. I never gave them permission to make the charge and never signed anything. I called immediately and they said the night staff had processed it incorrectly, that they would fix it, and that my credit card should post the correction in 48 hours. I wait five days, and still no correction. I call again, and now the story is totally changed and they don't know anything about the first charge, telling me to talk to "expedia" (I booked through Travelocity), and that they will no longer refund the money. So now I'm left with over $100 on my credit card for a sub-standard room I booked for just over $50.00 and getting sent on a complete runaround, working with travelocity to try get the money back. Hopefully, given their market power, the hotel will listen to them and this will get resolved. Either the place is shady, or the staff is completely lost. I've gotten three different stories in my interactions with them so far.

Worst hotel ever, it was dirty and smelled of trash. The cleanliness of the rooms was terrible. Who in their right mind would eat the breakfast in a room with trash on the wall, dirty tables and coffee all over the floors. this place was disgusting!

Upon arriving I stepped out onto broken glass. I mentioned it to front desk. That night and the next day it was still there. The ground had not been raked and there was liter and cigarette butts all over. The lobby needed vacuuming and the lobby bathroom was less than clean. The room was actually fine. The Continental breakfast was to laugh at. The toaster did not work and everything was scummy looking. It seemed like Russian men were running it. I could not recommend this Days Inn.

This place was filthy and run-down. Barely any light in my room as the ceiling fixture was removed with bare wires just dangling down. Toilet paper holders were broken, phone didn't work, TV remotes didn't work, dirt and debris all over the floor. And to top it all off, the room stunk so bad I could barely stand it.

Dirty and rundown. Needs a significant face lift.

Rude front desk people. We had a reservation and were told upon arrival no rooms were available. Would not have been so frustrating if the front desk person wasn't so rude and unhelpful.

Found out some of the rooms had bed bug, keycard didn't work and if it did it would take about 5 minutes just to get a green.

For our needs, the location first drew us; but we were pleased with our room and what was available to us. No, it isn't fancy, but it is nice. We had a small fridge and microwave, and a huge TV. The beds were comfy, the A/C worked, and things were clean. The rates were nice, and though by the airport, we did not hear much noise from it. We're going back to this area in a couple months and plan to stay here again.

I needed to stay over and the Day's Inn Latham was convenient. And while I read the previous reviews, I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It was clean, had nice decor and the bed was comfortable. I woke up for the included breakfast and was again surprised at the selection and freshness. I don't know why people are giving bad reviews. This place, for the money, is way more than what you pay for! And the staff was pleasant and helpful as well. Overall, an incredible value.
