Great food. Bed was comfortable.

The Scenery, The Staff, and the experience of such a lovey resort made my stay wonderful.

My Son & his wife had their wedding here on 9/3/22. We couldn’t have been happier with everything at your hotel. The scenery is incredible. Everyone was very kind & helpful. The wedding coordinator was top notch. We highly recommend! Thank you for everything ♥️

Our family was coming here with a group of other families. Our sons all got Covid two of the three families were reimbursed and our was not. The staff was rude and inconsiderate and kept our $1, 000 plus deposit. These people are scammers and rude. The contract on the reservation says do not come if you have Covid. Not sure if this is even legal for them to do. Do not go here. If you suddenly get sick they have no heart.

Stories the staff has of Hall of Fame players that stay here for induction ceremonies. The hotel is closed to just them. Some weeks a player or two shows up and you can play catch with them… pretty cool.

Love the view from the veranda. The food is wonderful, the rooms comfortable. It’s easy to make it to town to check out the HOF and it’s delightful to attend the Glimmerglass offerings.

This hotel is beautiful! And they deserve a ton of stars for being so accommodating to a pumping mother. When I got into my room I noticed there wasn’t a mini fridge to store my milk so I called down to the front desk and they immediately sent up a mini fridge to be installed in my room, no questions asked, no acting like I was bothering them — amazingly accommodating! And super quick service. Great Customer service! And gorgeous hotel!

Lovely, well-kept resort hotel. Too many amenities to list. Very attentive staff. Good food and bar. A wonderful place to host a wedding reception, party, or conference. Or, just a great place to stay. Cooperstown is a charming town.

Quite simply the very finest dining experience within 100 miles in any direction with many treats like an old-fashioned “High Tea” in the GORGEOUS Oak Room and a view that CANNOT be beat. Not a bad choice can possibly be made from their fresh, authentic, professionally-made menu. Perfection on every plate! BRAVO!

Unhelpful employees. Booking staff who deliberately charge you anywhere from 6 to 10 times what you agreed to pay. No concern for their guests. There are easily 15 other hotels in the area who will not rob you like these criminals.

Thank you for ruining my friends’ anniversary. This place is run by lying weasels. They steal your finanical information and run up ridiculous charges. At best, they are incompetant fools. At worst, they are run by fraudsters. Having seen their emails and LYING fb posts to friends, I believe them to be con artists.

Over-priced rooms. Terrible service. Cannot be trusted with your financial information. Go someplace else. It is not worth the hassle.

Sit on a rocking chair on the veranda and question your life choices in not choosing to be born into a family with generational wealth so that you could live like this all the time.

The service was impeccible! Friendly, fast service. Very accommodating to our party. The food was outstanding!

Beautiful location. The building was clean and elegant. I only wet to one of the bars and the drinks were in the weaker side. It was also a Saturday night and there wasn't really music planning for us to dance which was the intention. Overall not a bad experience.

Very quaint and scenic. Beautiful views of Lake and Golf Course. Plenty of activities for kids too. Nice restaurants and a super staff that could not be nicer. Was little disappointed with my room. For over $500 a night I expected a better room. Room was smallish and very noisy probably because building and plumbing is old.

Beautiful hotel. Just came to have lunch at the bar. Service was really well done, apps were really good. Only thing that could use some improvement was the "Adult Grilled Cheese". It hardly had any cheese, apple was kind of sparse and couldn't taste the honey given the massive slices of bread. It also wasn't all that grilled. Still would go back and eat all the other stuff though. Great place to have lunch on a nice day by the water.

An absolutely incredible place on an absolutely incredible lake in an absolutely incredible town. A first-class place that we had the good fortune of being able to visit during induction weekend. The back fire pit at night is the place to be. Staff were very courteous and accommodating.

Dinner in the casual restaurant was delicious. Very good value and lovely wait staff. My son loved playing Bocce Ball with other children on the lawn before and after dinner. Would return to stay at hotel one day.

Lots of history for everyone. From Baseball to Revolutionary time historic buildings, old church, historic cemetery, parks, and a lake with boating options. The best time to go would be the last weekend of July for the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction. Cooperstown New York.

The large amount of outdoor seating and recreation area highlight the gorgeous location. Hotel was classic with modern amenities. Staff was great and helpful.

Amazing! Beautiful rooms, cleanest and largest bathroom's! This is truly a beautiful resort. The staff is super friendly and seem to take pride in their work. Its pricey but totally worth spoiling yourself!

Brunch was delicious. Loved the Eggs Benedict station — had 2 of those. Belgian waffles were cooked to perfection and the perfect size — small — leaving plenty of room for other options. Plenty of seafood — shrimp, salmon, oysters, crab legs (possibly more, I'm not a seafood person so didn't look any further). SO many more options. They need to have more cheesecake — it was all gone by 1:15pm (they open at 12pm). The staff were very nice — David was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. The grounds are nice. Dine, relax in a rocking chair on the veranda, stroll the grounds.

A beautiful venue for a wedding I recently attended! The Otesaga has an extremely helpful and courteous staff. We enjoyed our lovely room with a view of Otsego Lake and a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. Highly recommend!

Sunday brunch was amazing as usual. Only complaint was the shrimp was a bit water logged as they are served on/under crushed ice. Didn't keep me from eating them though. Very large and tasty. Prime rib was awesome. If you can't find plenty of delicious options then I'm not sure what I can tell you. Very reasonably priced for what you get.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Began each day with a delicious breakfast buffet & a swim in the outdoor lap pool. During the day, I could choose chilling on rocking chairs set along expansive porch, walking the lovely grounds, or boating along on the lakeshore. Beautiful sleeping room offered quiet rest.

Expensive but worth it; elegant, stately. The buffet lunches are very good. Some of the buffet is plain, but there are always superior dishes too, and the soups and desserts are excellent. The best part is the outdoor seating on the shaded verandah overlooking the gorgeous lake. I haven't stayed in a room, but I'm sure the service is excellent. The golf course is legendary, but with pricing to match.

Beautiful view and the food was amazing. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. Very disappointed in the front desk manager and housekeeping. I left some clothes in the dressor drawer when we checked out. We called the hotel 2 hours after checking out and were told to leave messages with lost and found and housekeeping. No one returned our calls and we had to call 6 times before the front desk manager said there was nothing he could do. Very disappointed that a beautiful hotel of this caliber is so poorly run.

Wonderful experience. All the help were friendly and knowledgeable. Setting was beyond excellent. Comfortable bed with soft clean linen. Fireplace, wet bar and claw foot tub. Walking distance to town. Expensive bit well worth it!

I always enjoy Mother's Day Brunch at the Hotel… The buffet was large, what a beautiful assortment of meats, salads, fish, breakfasts, and of course, the tasteful, and appealing desserts! My only downside thought to the day, is that the buffet seating time is too short! 2 hours is a lovely time to talk and eat, but not enough time to leisurely try one of everything served, with a little digestion time in between! Desserts not sampled are still haunting me in my dreams! Do you ever have a dessert only time? I would be first in line for that!

Wonderful lunch Sunday afternoon. Buffet is very extensive with carving station, waffle station, seafood station, desert station. Food and service excellent. Lovely resort hotel and golf course. Plenty of things to do in the vicinity of resort.

Truly an amazing resort when it comes to rooms and building, then you spend the money. Service is better at a closed McDonalds from the 1600s, I am 99% sure a 2 year old would run this hotel better. This place is absolutely worth $48 a night, the problem is its $500 a night. Come to this place expecting the worlds worst service and employees with zero common sense and no leadership and I promise you, you WILL leave satisfied. Come here expecting the nonsense they feed you and it'll ruin your weekend, good luck! oh and haunted hotel, well ghosts don't exist so it's a great way to charge you twice what u tee s worth.

My friends and I went to the Otesaga Resort Hotel to go to the Hawkeye Spa and the Hawkeye Grill Two of us had absolutely wonderful facials while the other two had massages. It's a small space with just two treatments at a time. While two had their facial or massage, the other two wandered around the hotel lobby and other areas. If this had been during any season other than winter, we could have sat on the wonderful porch overlooking the lake. After the treatments, we had a great lunch at the Hawkeye Grill. It was a wonderful, relaxing day!

The Otesag's remodeled bar/restaurant is very, very nice. Lots of light, great view year-round. Menu and service top notch as well. It was especially nice to be there off season on a cold wintry day.

Very nice, historic hotel. Best breakfast I've ever had PERIOD. I live 10 hours away and have thought of traveling back just for the breakfast!

We went there for lunch as part of an excursion to Cooperstown, we did not stay overnight. The food was fantastic, the staff were warm and friendly. A fantastic place situated on the banks of Lake Otsego. Beautiful…!

One of the prettiest places we’ve stayed… the service is what made the place so amazing. The facilities were great, there was tons of open space to walk, unwind and relax. Went with family and there was more than enough to do during our time here. The staff was really well informed and always helped with a smile. It was a pleasure being at the Otesaga and we would definitely go back.

This place is so nice and the people there are really nice the inside is really clean and the prices are really good I would really reamend this place to every one to go they and if you can't find some thing they will go out of there way to order it for you and they do service with a smile…

I would definately recommend anyone to this beautiful place for wedding and graduation party. I think everyone should get a chance to experience fine dinning and a beautiful view.

A gorgeous historic hotel, right on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown. Casual and fine dining, with incredible views, and the golf course is the best in the area! I would highly recommend The Otesaga.

The rooms were Ok, but not $500 per night Ok. When you pay these kind of rates there is an expectation of customer service which was simply not present at The Otesaga. I had to leave a day early from my stay because of a family emergency. The manager refused to credit the night even though I would not be using it. I have had to leave earlier then expected with 2 other hotels before and for business purposes that were not emergencies. Both times with different hotels I had to change my reservation during the stay I was not charged for the night I did not use. Needless to say, I was very unsatisfied with the experience.

A Beautiful hotel that's well worth at least one night in the lavish settings. It keeps the feel of the 20's with the amenities of today.

Impeccably maintained century-old hotel in a beautiful lake setting. A huge veranda overlooks the lake and is filled with comfortable rocking chairs. The included breakfast buffett is scrumptious. My only complaint was the bed, which sunk in the center.

5 star hotel on the lake. Good food and the building is in great shape and well preserved. The hotel is well run and the staff is very professional. Beautiful grand old hotel with a tasteful modern bar and gas fireplace on the grounds overlooking the lake.

This is one place you have to go if you never have. They have a Sunday brunch that is fantastic. Sitting on the outside porch you can see the history before your eyes. The scenery is breath taking. A must see and do.

The service and the food was excellent. I am a returning customer and highly recommend. The view and ambiance is phenomenal.

We went for dinner with our family. Granted, in the summer and after a long day of baseball. Reservation was for 8 (when we arrived). Waitress came by about 810 to take drink order. Drinks arrived at 830. "Be right back… " At 845 we hunted down the waitress to order. At about 9 someone casually came by to bring bread. At 930 we asked for a manager regarding our food who said it was just coming out and walked away. Food finally arrived at 945. No apology, nothing. While the food was good — I could never recommend to anyone who doesn't want a 2.5H dinner.

We have stayed at The Otesaga several times before and we have really enjoyed every visit. All of the staff is really friendly and the rooms are nice too. We will definitely be back again.

The bartender made PERFECT drinks for my fiance and I. The entire establishment, especially the veranda, was beautiful. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, polite and perfect in every way. I would recommend this place to friends and family with enthusiasm!

Dinner was delicious. The prix fixe Valentine's menu had great options. We felt a little rushed considering the place wasn't full. Service was excellent otherwise and the place is beautiful.

Flawless and a dream come true is how I would describe our wedding we recently had at the Otesaga. We have been getting compliments and raves about our wedding left and right (we've even had guests thanking US for having our wedding here, haha! ) and I think honestly we are still in shock as to how perfect and FUN everything was! Gordon Clarkson is a true professional and an absolute joy to work with. He made everything that we wanted happen to turn our wedding into the perfect, personalized, and elegant weekend. From delivering welcome bags from the Fly Creek Cider Mill to the rooms we had blocked out for guests, renting boats and reserving golf tee times the Friday before, to the actual wedding day that included a kid's party for those 13 and under during the reception, lawn games and s'mores at the fire pit late at night, to the giant brunch on the veranda Sunday morning, everything was stunning and perfect! It's how every girl dreams of her wedding to be. The staff is amazing and so attentive throughout the entire hotel, and my husband and I even had our own personal waitress at the reception who got our food out for us first and kept the drinks coming! The food cannot be beat here (the tasting over the winter was definitely our favorite part of planning! ) and the selection is also to die fore. Overall, A+ staff and service; I would recommend having your wedding here to anyone, you will not be disappointed one bit!

Firepit service left a lot to be desired. Waited 15 minutes for someone to wait on us last night. She was standing at the entrance when I got up to ask "Do we get our own drinks? " But after that, she was very attentative (after passing us by at least 3x the 1st 15 minutes). The young man waiter was horrible and there were empty glasses left all over the pit area. We'll be back but your training of staff needs to be better.

Its a hotel, not a world class eatery. Food was good but king suite is divine. Definitely a stay again place. Turn down service is great and everything is very original good to get away from modern day things.

Do not stay at Otesaga Resort Hotel or eat at their restaurants. The wait staff was great, food was ok (some of the meals we cold and seemed like they were microwaved), but their management is a bunch of d-bag a-holes. We waited for our dinner for an hour and a half. When we complained they said they would comp our drinks. We ordered another round. Not only did they not comp the round, they didn't comp any drinks. When we complained further, they simply stated that an hour and a half wait was completely normal and they implied we hadn't spent enough money that night for them to care about our future business. I'll make sure that no Casale in our lineage ever stays at this resort or visits their restaurants. I am giving 2 stars because the food was ok, wait staff were nice and the scenery was awesome.
