I booked a non-smoking room about one month prior to my arrival. When I arrived I was told that there was only a smoking room available at that time, but if I returned in an hour, my non-smoking room would be available. I said I'd wait. I returned an hour and one-half later. I was assigned to a smoking room. When I went in to the office to ask for the non-smoking room I had reserved, I was told the hotel was full and none were available. After a frank discussion with the front desk clerk, she managed to find me a non-smoking room. It was a big hassle that shouldn't have happened.

Our last day we were put on the backside of the motel and there were drug dealers all around us traffic in and out of the room all night long hookers upstairs above us making all kinds of noise and somebody kept trying to open our door which the door didn't even shut all the way unless you watched it was frightened the entire stay had the police knocking on our door for no reason for a false 911 call when they should have been going to all those other rooms as well as a needle dirty needle falling out of the lamp above the bed and almost at our five year old son my husband took the dirty needle in a paper bag to the front desk around midnight and all they wanted to do was refund one night my husband declined the refund and and requested to speak with management the next morning about incident because he felt like it needed to go through Upper corporate management to make them aware of what is going on on the backside of the Motel 6 when the front side of Motel 6 is where they put The Travelers so it looks like a decent place to stay and we were put on the back side and by the police officers we were told to not even step foot outside at night because of all the creepy men after that I was frightened to even stay.

From the managers; to the friendly front desk customer service representatives; to the maintenance engineers; to the wonderful ladies who serviced the rooms. Really professional and very kind! Loved the new renovations! Will definitely stay again. Perhaps for a longer period of time. Thank you so much!

Motel 6 deserves a 5 star rating. The service was exceptional, the pool was very clean. I have stayed at Motel 6 for over 40 years and thought their prices were inexpensive because they were so old. Not true. It was just the opposite. The rooms were clean and we slept very well all night. The beds were very comfortable. Check in and check out was great with no problems. Even though they were full they still supplied us with an extra blanket when we asked for one. I will stay here again before looking around for the more expensive motels and hotels.

The rooms were very clean and nice. I hadn’t stayed at a Motel 6 in years and they’ve come a Long way. Definitely will be going back. Thank you. Loved that I did not need a credit card. And the front desk guy was super nice and the cleaning lady in the morning was sweet too. Very happy with my stay and the price.

The room was most satisfactory, minimalist but had all the necessities. It was clean (the floor could have been swept a little more carefully) and had a sufficient supply of towels, soap (the soap was really good), glasses and ice bucket. The heavy drape kept out the morning light and sunlight and allowed me to sleep until my alarm awakened me (a welcomed plus! ). The location was SUPERB! It was a straight shot to the Lensic Theater where I was attending a weekend conference. Additionally, there are multiple restaurants, fast food places, drug stores and even a Walmart within a short driving distance from the motel. The front desk folks were most helpful and very, very pleasant and the room service was excellent. The modest price was most appreciated. My stay was great!

Alright, so I'm rating a Motel 6 here so my expectations are aligned with the budget of this place. It was clean. Sheets, counter, tub, floor, (some left over sushi in freezer thing but hey it happens) … nice TV with plenty of channels, decent beds, good shower water pressure and working fridge and microwave. Pool looked very clean with nice patio sets. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Also, area is very convenient to a lot of places and didn't seem to be trashy at all. Thank you to this Motel 6 location for a decent stay in Santa Fe!

One of the last hotels available for Memorial Day weekend so I wasn't expecting much, and that's what I got. Called to make a reservation, was put on hold, never heard back. Had to call them back. Upon arriving, I notice that the pool is drained and looked as though it won't be functioning anytime soon. I did see on a travel site that this property had a pool. The floors were so squeaky noisy, I felt sorry for the neighbors downstairs. Barking dog that was staying or visiting with other patrons, I finally had to call the front desk. Barking did eventually stop. There are no hair dryers!

The rooms were fine. The price was right. Staff friendly and liked the stay. Both my friend and I found the continental breakfast as maybe forgotten in terms of readiness. There was nothing ready for us such as juice or coffee or well, like maybe someone forgot to get the breakfast aspect ready during the time we were there. Given what we found in the morning we both concluded that it was better just to go out for breakfast. I think this was an exceptional circumstance and not the norm for the hotel. I can compare this to other Motel 6 experiences related to breakfast readiness in saying that. The overall room price was good so this helped balance out the need for us to go out for breakfast cost. I still like Motel 6 so will give it ten ratings below. Just wanted you to know.

The facility needs security to control the guests that hangs out on the balcony talking loud at night while others are sleeping. The pool is never available at any of the facilities that we stay at. The walls are thin I could hear when my neighbor took a shower. This facility said that they weren't licensed to serve breakfast. When staying more than one night why does the key have to be reactivated? The staff and price was excellent. The room didn't have a fridge or microwave. We were offered these for a higher price. When people travel these things are a necessity.

Wi-Fi should be free, and the room should have a frig. I’ve stayed in less expensive places that had those accommodations. The front desk man could learn some pr skills as well.

Staff was good. But room stank of smoke from next door. Walls were too thin to keep it out. You should designate smoking and non-smoking blocks of rooms so that one is not next to the other.

The showers have improved… less noise. I'm sensitive to indoor toxins so I leave or awaken often not feeling well. I've stopped using my favorite room with fridge because it's located near the stairs (traffic and cigarette smoke) … they should make their best room the one farther down on the end. There was no access to CH 1 the TV guide. The floors weren't cleaned to the wall (black hairs) … even on my sheets in sometimes they're in the shower. I had to sleep with a sheet with visible large stain near the pillow. The sheets were smoother than usual… I like to see my car from my window/balcony but the car was safe around the corner. (There should be a version of this with some city housing pertaining to the conditions at apartments/rentals)

We had a wonderful stay. We were greated and checked in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Easy for us to get to our room. We went into our room, and found a very clean and organized room. We could smell bleach when we walked in room. We have traveled and stayed in motels for almost 15 years now. Every couple months we travel out of town for Doctor appointments. This is is the absolute Best and Cleanest motel that we have EVER STAYED IN! We definitely highly recommend this motel. We will definitely stay here again when ever we stay in Santa Fe!

The room smelled like smoke, but they switched us. I reserved the room for 2 nights but I guess they only had me down for one. That got all figured out too. They were very nice about it.

Front desk staff was wonderful. Everything looked clean. Price was fair. It was hard to get our door to stay shut. It was hard to sleep after police started banging on the door next to ours. 6 police vehicles and numerous officers. I called front desk to ask what was happening because it wasn't feeling very safe. Then about an hour later 2 men kept trying to get into our room over and over. I finally got up asked through the window why they were trying to get in. They said their key cards were for our room and showed me. I stayed awake so my daughter could actually sleep and we just got up and left at about 4 am. I was exhausted and had to drive back to Nebraska with no sleep. I'm sure this isn't the norm there but it's made me question ever staying there again.

The hotel was adequate for it's price range. Nothing fancy, but that's to be expected when traveling on the cheap. Very good parking facilities for anything you might be driving. My only issue is that the room was supposed to be a non-smoking room. There were no ashtrays in the room but the place smelled of cigarette smoke really badly. There were burn holes in the sheets although the sheets were clean.

I rented a room in this motel to get away and have peace. I walked in and everything seemed OK… Until I noticed details that were off-putting. I found glass all around the floor of the room, my towel rack was untouched from the previous tenants and when I asked for a Do not Disturb placard, I was told to go to the front office to get one. Fine! Until I went down and was asked if I was gonna stay another night. That is none of anyone's concern. Secondly, at 11:15 (with the Do Not Disturb sign on the outside of the door handle), a housekeeper walked in my room, saw there was my stuff there, and didn't bother to close the door right on the way out. That's when I decided enough is enough and checked out about 45 minutes early. These are things that should have been provided anyway, without question. Plus there was no bible in the room. Personally I don't care that the Bible wasn't there. For all I know, they don't provide those in Motel 6 anymore. Now, being a previous employee of La Posada de Santa Fe, these are all provided automatically. I found lots of dirt under the bed as well as broken glass. I wouldn't recommend going to this motel unless you have nowhere else to go.

Rooms were cozy and updated with a modern take on the road way inn feel. Price was one of the lowest in town. Staff was friendly and attentive. Pool is exposed to traffic driving by. Parking is spread out around the hotel so it shouldn't be a long walk to your room.

Very happy with our room. Front desk was really nice and friendly. Heater was a bit complicated to work with but we managed.

This Motel 6 was by far the best one I've ever stayed in. The bathroom was very large, had a regular tub/shower and granite countertop. There was ample space for a larger countertop as it was too small for two peoples toiletries.

I snagged a room in the far corner of the building (247), which minimized exposure to neighbors and street noise. Unfortunately the previous occupant smoked (it's a non-smoking room) so the room smelled of smoke and the foul cleaning products Motel 6 uses. But there were no domestic fights or throwing about of furniture.

Great front desk staff! Room was spasious, clean, and fairly newly remodeled… seems kinda newish. Of course no carpet. Bring your own, well just about everything (shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, iron, etc. ) … but, GREAT room rates!

The room did not have air conditioner. When we entered, the room was very hot and when we tried to change the room, we got another room with the same problem. The temperature could not be controlled whatsoever and we had the most uncomfortable stay with heated air choking us throughout the night. We had to open windows in the night to be able to breathe and the staff did not help us either. The room and the bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly. The location was good too.

Easy to get to, off 25. Nice and clean. The man at the desk called after a bit to check and see if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Walking distance to restaurants and a gas station if you just want a sandwich and a beer to take back.

My wife and I were/travelling thru Santa Fe on our way to Denver. We called Motel6 mid afternoon for a room. We were accommodated within a few minutes. When we arrived at about 7:00pm the check-in was quick and easy. After we were settled in our room, we received a call from the front desk asking if everything was to our liking. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were clean and well displayed. We are completely satisfied with the value and location of this Motel 6. The only minus for us was the lack of a refrigerator and microwave.

This was a good stopping point during our road trip. We were able to do some sightseeing while in town. Safe and comfortable.

Rooms were clean and quiet. I think it was Diseree at the desk that was very nice. It was confusing to have four Motel 6s on the same street. I went to all 4 before finding the correct one. This one is the only one that the office did not have an accent that was hard to understand.

Not a bad place. Remodel of rooms is clean looking. Not as cheap as it appears. Could use coffee machines in rooms even at the current price you would still make money. Staff was nice and efficient but again the Wi-Fi is horrible. Can't you guys get a system that works? It's the simple things that keep you coming back. Needs improvement.

Clean. No frills. But more than enough for a nice clean room to rest in quiet a d bead out the next day. Customer service is great! The only little thing even for a standard Wi-Fi usage you must go to the from office and buy a code card. Can't even get it over the phone.

The first room had dirt on the bedsheets, but they switched me to a different room right away. Clean sheets, but the floor was dirty; I accidentally spilled a bit of Sobe water on the floor and wiped it up with a Kleenex. The Kleenex was black. 'Easy enough to mop with clean water… I don't know why it isn't done more frequently. Other than that the room was great. Cold AC, clean towels, and the Staff was absolutely fabulous: friendly and helpful! I got the room at a decent price too.

This was by far the BEST out of the 3 Motel 6's we stayed at the week we were gone. Anna was the young lady that checked us in. They had us on the 2nd floor, but my sister has had double knee replacement and I asked if we could get a bottom room. Anna was most gracious and handled my request without hesitation. She then called our room to make sure that it was suitable. You should make her management. The room was amazingly clean and comfortable.

Absolutely the worst motel that I've stayed in. Filthy, stay in your car or anywhere but here, Motel 6 should remove its name from this place.

First room they put us in the air conditioning did not work, June 2016. Asked for a new room, quickly anf painlessly transferred. The first room was very run down and sketchy but second room was great for price paid. Fridge and ac and excellent Wi-Fi. Bathroom is clean and beds are comfortable. We asked for the room they initially gave us but they were reluctant to put us there. New girl working front desk. They want to put you in a good room so just take their advice on the room. Walking through the motel needs a little work but for being the cheapest place really not bad.

Great central location in the heart of Santa Fe. There is an Albertsons less than two blocks away, along with a target, shopping center, places to eat, and art to explore. The rooms dont have amenities like microwave or refreidgerators, its quite the dingy run down place, but they have an amazing over chlorinated indor pool and they allow pets. Asking for your room to be serviced is hit or miss but they are sure to bug you daily to ask. No shampoo unless you ask. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, however, and also very polite. No morning goodies at all other than coffee in the lobby, though there is a microwave there too. AC worked really well, also had desk with two chairs, safe, luggage rack, hangers and wall rack, lamps, two plastic cups, an ice bucket and a phone. Great Wifi capacity. Only two entrances, no elevator. Tiny pillows.

Alright, I hate leaving 1 star, especially for a motel touting "Best Rate" in Santa Fe. None of the electrical outlets worked, and there was no Clock in the room, so we chanced calling for a Wake-Up call that didn't come. It was clean, but definitely not the cleanest. No Microwave, Fridge, Table, or Chair. Just a huge room with a bed and patches in the wall. With 3 other budget spots within a block, I'm sure we can all do better.

Room smelled like cigarettes and was non smoking, beds are hard as a rock, blankets are old and stained with burns. Towels like sandpaper. Couldn't sleep all night, people upstairs making noise at 4am. I just can't believe you have to leave a deposit for this junk. Motel 6 up the road is way better!

Absolutely worth the price we paid! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, person at the front desk was friendly, and the night was quiet. Overall, with the day my family & I had, it was a great stay & we are considering a return soon!

There were some odd things going on in my room, the fire detector was ripped from the ceiling, the screen was missing from the window, and it appeared someone had got in and out of window because there was lots of "trash" on the ledge outside of it. There were no toiletries beside basic bars of soap, there were no extra amenities to speak of in room. Beds did not have sufficient bedding for time of year, only 2 pillows per bed that go flat as soon as you lay on it and finally, the bed was too short for my height (I am over 6 foot). At 5 PM and my neighbors sharing a wall already sounded wasted and were yelling at one another intermittently… AND this continued… THE WHOLE NIGHT along with some weird banging and other noises that I think was the downstairs doors being slammed. I travelled here with my daughter, dog, and husband and DO NOT recommend this as even a one night stay. I had stayed overnight because I have conference and got a very poor night of sleep before 6 hours of education in an 8 hour day. I will say, if you are a heavy sleeper it might work for you, but if you are a light sleeper like me… LOOK ELSEWHERE!

My stay was a nightmare and more. The first room I checked into locked me in… then after it was opened it wouldn't lock… the desk clerk had to change me rooms so… she moved me next door to a room full of tweakers, junkies, I don't know. As I was moving into the new room a guy from the junkie room came over and then walked right in my room… he then pulled a gun out of his waist, showed me that it was loaded, and then he started going through my luggage. I freaked out super bad, but then my girfriend came and kicked him out of the room. He then pulled his gun out and pointed it directly at my girls head… so then, out of fear or shock, I just started screaming… a bunch of the other junkies came out of the other room, and all the sudden the motel window got bash in and then the guy with the gun ran out but not before he smashed my unopened 5th of bacardi on the wall. So, I got scared and took off to our car but my girlfriend went to the front office. The cops showed up and my girlfriend told them everything that happened, but they couldn't seem to find the harassing pack of junkies anywhere, which makes me think the clerk gave them a new room. So, after being assaulted and threatened by a junkie with a loaded gun, and after him forcefully breaking and entering into our room, and then after our window being bashed in and my girls foot gashed open, the hotel management had the audacity to ask us to leave the property. I was utterly appalled and even more disgusted.

Really nice room but the Wi-Fi barely worked even though you have to pay extra for it. One of the nicer rooms I stayed im though.

We've stayed here a couple of times and it's always clean, staff is very helpful and friendly, and you can't beat the price. Paid $45 on a weeknight and $65 weekend. Other motel 6 down the street charges almost twice as much.

The best thing about staying here is the price. It's cheap. It's nicer than the other Motel 6s around town, but that's a really sad compliment. Three things that frustrated me: 1. No shampoo. I hate packing a full bottle of shampoo because I'd rather save the weight for other things, and I refuse to buy those little travel size bottles. How much would it really cost to put a little bottle of shampoo in every room? 2. There was no "do not disturb" or "no service needed" sign for the door. Therefore, sleeping in was not an option. Also, once I returned to the hotel in the late morning, before the room had been cleaned, and had no way of telling the cleaning person to pass by my room. I didn't need service every day. A little door hanger would've made my stay more pleasurable and the cleaning staff's job a little easier. 3. I was approached by multiple people outside the door of my hotel room. One guy wanted to fill up a water bottle. Another wanted to buy a beer from me. I'm 6'3", bearded, and have visible tattoos, so people with bad intentions usually leave me alone, but even if these people didn't have anything nefarious in mind, they were still odd. I know the motel can't pick their clientele, but it is worth taking into consideration if you're bringing your family along with you.

We always have a great experience at this location — even when it was the Red Roof Inn back in the day… Clean rooms, love the new floors, beds are comfy, and the staff is awesome! We had a little dampness with our room's A/C, but I didn't bother reporting it — everyone else in my family was fine with it. I really like the price of the room as well — with four of us (two parents, two kids) and three (! ) dogs, we paid about $56! Also, it's walking distance from some really great, reasonable restaurants. We were super happy and enjoyed our stay. You will too…

Motel has been renovated, rooms are perfect value for it's category. Easy access, good location. Very friendly staff, make you feel welcome, willing to solve any inconvenience quickly. Pet-friendly, made all the difference for me this time. No carpet since renovation makes it cleaner for pets. Pet walking area at the end of the road (Vegas Verdes).

I loved my stay at this motel — it is an older building and spacious — comfortable and clean.

Front desk lady was good. Noted my non smoking room smelled of smoke and had to unplug phone to stop a red blinking light. Was in town overnight. Price was good for quiet place to sleep.

It had the 3 things I was looking for on an unexpected stay (was riding my Harley to PHX and hit major rain in Santa Fe) Cheap, Clean and Safe. The price was right and this motel is the cheapest; surrounded by hotels that cost at least twice as much. The guy at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful and they had parking right up front by the main office so I felt like the bike was safe, and it was, no issues. The room was very clean and had the 2 things I wanted, TV and Wifi. Bed was comfortable and the place was quiet. There was a convenience store across the street and several places to get a drink and something to eat within walking distance. I would stay here again.

This was way back in September 2007, but I tried to stay here with my cat. I asked for a room specifically for my cat. The room was nice, but when my black cat came out from under the bed she was completely snow white covered in a white sticky oily carpet freshener powder that took me an hour to wash off of her. I was so upset. I was so worried my cat would get sick from it. I didn't have pet shampoo on me. A sick cat on the road during a move from one state to another! Can you imagine? Well I finally got her clean, packed everything back in the truck and got my money back after a lengthy wait. They offered me another room, but couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be more powder on the carpets. After driving from Deming New Mexico to Sante Fe, I had to get back into my truck and drive all the way to Denver. Colorado. With a cat I thought might be getting sick. It was pure hell, all because this motel didn't have the sense to not throw oily sticky carpet freshener by the pound under a bed in a room meant for pets. Just stupid. Animals shouldn't even be able to get under the beds! 6 years later, I'm still upset by their thoughtlessness.
