Arrived at 1130pm on a Sunday… didn't get into the room till almost 1am. In fact I almost had to sleep in the car. Something was wrong with their credit card system and kept rejecting my card. Even after they get confirmation from the bank that I have plenty of balance, they still would not accept the card. The reception lady called the hotel credit card merchant and asked that they help but they wouldn't (couldn't). My bank asked that they manually input the credit card number and expiration date but for some inexplicable reason the system can't do it. I was actually told to find other places for lodging. I wanted to just leave but it was impossible to find other lodgings that has opening for 5 straight nights. Managed to get one night clearance so I had a room for the night. The next morning, Nick (great guy; super helpful) managed to help me by tricking the system. He authorized my card at a lower amount and slowly raised it untill all the days were covered. Now that's a kid who knows his stuff. The gym really sucks… I would take photos but there really is nothing to take. They don't even have an agreement with a local fitness center… even though it is literally across the street from one. Ice machine is busted. The HVAC system is loud. Very poor sound insulation. Still have 2 more nights to go. Can't wait to leave this place. By far this is my worst experience in a holiday inn. Should've stayed at Embassy suites… cost wise, they're both similar. The only reason this place is not getting a 1 star is because Nick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most definitely will not be staying here my next trip.
