My family started coming here 39 yrs ago and have come every year since. It’s a family friendly atmosphere. This hotel is right across from the promenade deck where there are a couple places to grab food, fudge kitchen and arcade.

Heritage Inn is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Wonderful staff and surroundings! 11/10 for sure! Thank you Heritage! ♥️⚓️

To high in price not the expected value for the price. Needs to be updated and more nicer tables not enough to sit on busy street and don’t see much of the ocean on the second floor but the charges are there. Better values just one street over with Breakfast and better accommodations a bit disappointed.

The Heritage Inn is my family’s treasured spot in Cape May. Our family has been staying here for fifteen years and wouldn’t ever consider staying anywhere else. It’s such a wonderful experience to be a small part of a wonderful family inn. The rooms are immaculate, the proximity to the beach and all of Cape May is perfect, and the family who runs this is terrific. Couldn’t ask for more. Having stayed here over this extended period of time, it has provided the safe haven we sought. As our children grew, we could entrust them to know the way from our room to the beach. Or the arcade. Or the shopping area. Or if they got tired of bogey-boarding in the waves, to find a calm and restful pool just waiting to be jumped into. Really a lovely place for a quick getaway or a true vacation. Five stars. Year after year!

The stay at the Heritage Inn was pleasant and relaxing. It's location is PERFECT, being only blocks away from the main Street Mall, my personal favorites Hot Dog Tommy's and Mad Batter, and has great breakfast places RIGHT next to it (Zoe's across the street let's you sit outside in the nice weather with quick sit-down table service, and the Bagle shop right next door is a delicious quick to go breakfast shop), and is right across the street from the beach! What more could you ask for location wise? It was clean, but if you're a complete neat freak you might find slightly nicer places in note as good of a location for similar prices.

I randomly found this beach hotel through one of those popular travel websites. I'm glad I did. This hotel is immaculate and well-presented and felt more like a big beach house than a hotel. It's situated right in the heart of Cape May with everything within walking distance. Two highlights of this place was the roof deck and the owner herself. Gwen was very helpful in making sure that my wife and son had a great experience (I had to work during their stay) both at her hotel and in Cape May. I have been to several hotels in this area through the years, but this is the first hotel where the owner was actively involved in making sure that our stay was a pleasant one. I have neighbors who have never been to Cape May; when they are ready, I'll make sure that they stay here for it is big on hospitality. The only negative is that their outdoor pool is small, but who goes to Cape May to swim in a pool when they have a great beach right across the street?

We enjoyed our stay recently for my sister's birthday. The accommodations were great and close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. We loved Cape May!

Save your money. Stay some place else We stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend and had a HORRIBLE experience. The rooms have thin walls, you can hear your neighbor from the other room. Very used towels, dirty room and carpet, not to mention the smell… There was mold in our room next to the fridge door. Health department should pay a visit to this establishment… Very rude (using foul language) hysteric front desk staff and owner. Nasty guests in the hotel, heavy drunk barely walking and peeing in the pool from the second floor. Definitely not a place for families with kids. Overrated and very expensive, cheap motel feeling.

Great location across the street from the beach and convention center and a short walk to restaurants and shops. The free parking is a big help as well since peaking can be tough in town. We had a room with a kitchenette which was nice as well to wash out bottles and make quick meals. I would definitely stay again when in Cape May.

We stay here twice a year. Gwen is very helpful, and a great host.

Great family run business. The staff is very helpful and will make sure you have whatever you want. New rooms: changes in color of walls, new carpet, super comfy beds. Awesome location, across the street from the beach an within walking distance to just about everywhere you will need! Call Direct they offer cash discount.

This is a fantastic hotel! Great rates especially for it's location which is right across from Convention Hall and the beach. Parking is easy here. Close to several restaurants, Washington Mall and bike rentals. Arcade is across the street which is great on rainy days and you can't even hear it from the hotel room. The rooms and common areas are very clean and well kept. We had an efficiency and it was great! The staff is top notch — very friendly, helpful and really want you to enjoy Cape May. They even went above and beyond when my daughter left her stuffed bear in our room (forever grateful for that! ). I'd highly recommend this inn to anyone traveling CM.

Clean, neat and updated renovations. Nice pool. Ocean views and rooftop access to see even more. Right across from Convention Hall. Parking is behind the building on nearby street. It was a good stay!

Great location. Walking distance to lots of local sites. Nice pool for the kids. Friendly staff. Clean rooms — no smells. Get up, cross the street and have fun on the beach!

By far the best place on Cape May, clean, centrally located, and the rooms are great. I would highly recommend this place to all.

This place is the BEST! We just returned from our trip and it's the 5th consecutive year that we've stayed at the Heritage Inn and we love it more & more every time. The place is very well kept. The pool is always clean, the property is well taken care of and the rooms are very clean… It's a family owned establishment and Gwen, Mark & Eric are WONDERFUL hosts… When we arrived last week, Eric was working… once we checked in, he came right over to the car and grabbed as much of our luggage as he could. He went above and beyond to make sure we got settled into the room as quick as possible. A few times we needed something and I walked down to the office and Mark got it taken care of for us immediately. I would recommend this Establishment to any and every one that visits Cape May, NJ. My wife and I have traveled to many places across the country but Cape May has became our favorite place to visit, and part of that is due to fact that the Heritage Inn being such a great place to stay. Friendly, Clean & right in the middle of everything. The beach is directly across the street, coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream, shopping, restaurants are all within in very short walking distance. If you're visiting Cape May, don't waste your time looking anywhere else, check out the Heritage Inn. We look forward to going back next year again and for many more years to come.

Oh my God this place is amazing! Location is out of this world! Was up in a room on the 3rd floor with ocean view. Hotel is right across street from the beach. Staff was fantastic and very friendly. Best in class! Highly recommend you stay here while in Cape May.

We were looking for a short weekend escape to relax and found it at the Heritage Inn! We parked our car in the lot Saturday morning and didn't touch it again until we left. The Inn is in the perfect location for EVERYTHING. It was nice for both of us to enjoy a couple drinks while we were out and not have to worry about who was driving because we could just walk. Gwen's breakfast recommendation was out of this world! The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. Leila (4 legged property manager) was a pleasant surprise who was sure to great all her guests with lots of love and provided bonus smiles! We can't wait to book our next stay!

I've had the best service and hospitality from Gwen and Mark in the past. So when my wife and I decided to get married we said that there wasn't any other place but the heritage inn to stay. The view of the ocean from the top deck and upper rooms are so beautiful! You can tell that they are genuinely sweet because it shows not only through them but there older son who also helps with your stay. Thanks so much G & M, you truly are the best! Excellent location with very reasonable prices. Very friendly and accommodating staff! They were very welcoming and made you feel at home. Plenty of extra parking and close to all shops and beach. Our room overlooked the ocean with spectacular views! We were able to see dolphins in the morning. I have been going to Cape May my entire life and had never stayed here. We're very glad we did and can't wait to come back!

Best location for the beach, restaurants and shopping. Great owners the really care about you as their guest. We just completed a 4 night stay and booked again for next year. Cape May has so much to offer and this is the Inn to experience it from. If you do not like stairs, be sure to book a first floor room. We were on the third floor with beach view and enjoyed sitting outside late afternoon just people watching and viewing the ocean. TIP: call them direct to book to get the best room and price!

Love this place the owner and the family are great and gave us great places to go eat… rooms are very clean and a great view from the rooftop patio will definitely go back next year for my vacation and can't forget the great dog they have very friendly and loving…

This Inn is not for you. If your looking for a great central location this Inn is not for you. Was in a bind for our best friends surprise 50th birthday. I called almost in tears and the Inn keeper Gwen listened to my story, being that 99% of the hotels on Cape May only book 2 night stays we were in dire straights just 5 days out and no luck finding a room as we have planned this for months and just needed 1 night she was more then happy to accommodate us. The surprise a total success and the birthday girl was very happy. Thank you again, would recommend this Inn again and will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Very pleasant place to stay. Right price, right location, huge room. We had a king size bed, and brought our pack n Play for our 18 month old to sleep in, and there was still plenty of room to spare. We didn't go in the pool but it looked very well maintained. As we were there just before the summer season started, we got to see a lot of the town taking the time to freshen things up for the summer, and this place was no different. All the rooms were getting fresh coats of paint. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who wants to stay near the beach. There is just one thing I should mention. There are only a few parking spots on the property. Their off street parking is around the corner, diagonally behind the building. It was not a big deal for us, as we didn't drive anywhere once we arrived. But just a friendly heads up in case you need your car right there with you.

We stayed at The Heritage Inn the weekend of Oct. 25th through the 28th. The young man at check in was wonderfully pleasant and very helpful. The Inn is located directly across from the Convention Hall which is where we needed to be each day we were there. Those are the two reasons it is receiving two stars instead of one. The housekeeping staff needs training. We had to share our room with numerous ants. Ants in the sleeping area, the kitchen area, and in the bathroom. With a little care and competence this might be a decent place. It's convenience to the beach, local restaurants, courteous young man at check in, and the baby opossum I came face to face with on the fence is the only reason it is getting two stars. Cape May is Gorgeous! Decently priced.

Hotel is reasonably priced. A basic hotel that is ok. Clean, friendly front desk. Need to park 1/2 Street over in their parking lot — not a big deal. So all in all an ok place especially for the price.
