Stayed here two nights. The hotel is clean and room was clean as well. Nice and cool, unfortunately the room did not have a fridge in the room (maybe it was something I should have checked prior to booking) as my wife has medication that needs to be kept in a fridge. Plumbing needs to be updated, toilets and sink drain very slowly. The bar and restaurant downstairs made up for what the hotel lacked. It was great time the server and hostess were very pleasant. Shuttle to Manhattan was a plus and on site parking was a life saver, took away lot of stress. I enjoyed my stay here and would come back if ever in the area again.

The place was a bit pricey, but it was also the 4th of July and on of the few decent hotels in the area. We were allowed an early check-in where the staff greeted us very warmly. They thoroughly explained all the amenities and even gave us a warm cookie for our stay! The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. I visited the pool and hot tub, the water was warm and clean and the hot tub was very relaxing. The workout center seemed to have a little bit of everything, but I didn't get a chance to use the equipment. The views aren't great and there is not much to do in the area but for the one night we needed a place to stay it worked just fine.

Avoid this hotel if at all possible. The “make it right if you are not satisfied “ tag line is a lie. I didn’t even get an apology for having the adjoining rooms I was already checked into (and given keys) taken away from me and my sister (a cancer patient that needed to be near family) so we could not be with our kids. I was never contacted by a manager and visited the desk on several occasions during my stay. We have a busy schedule that I had to adjust in attempt to catch a manager on duty. The hotel lied to corporate Hilton and reported we were given adjoining rooms on the 7th floor. They were not adjoining – and even the hall way doors to the boys rooms were farther down the hall. I never had 4 rooms reserved – sneaky move on the part of the hotel. Otherwise, why would I only get a link to check in to two rooms. The excuse I was given at the desk when I arrived was the current occupants asked to stay so they let them –yet the application allowed me to get digital keys to those rooms.

Check-in was at 3pm, I thought a little late but check out wasn't until noon so they balanced. The room was spacious we had some issue with the temperature of the room. It was unable to be fixed and they moved us to another room. The breakfast buffet was simple enough but filling. The only downside was it is in an industrial park area. So if sleeping late is your idea the trucks and the backup alarms will cancel that idea.

If you find a good deal on the net, it'll prob be better staying here vs others. I stayed here after staying at the best Western not too far away and it was heaven compared to the hell hole. All for only $10 more which was way worth it for the comfort alone.

Hotel is outdated and could use a remodel. Have stayed here several times on business and most of the time I have problems with broken air conditioning. It is convenient to NYC.

Third or fourth stay there and this time I was a little disappointed. Staff great as usual and accommodating. Had to change room immediately as someone had left foul cigar smell after illegally smoking in room. The room change was done beautifully and I was met at my new room by someone from the front desk! Very loud talking event planner in the restaurant during breakfast made reading or relaxing next to impossible! I even know details of the poor clients business and so do others listening because we had no choice! Rooms clean, carpet fresh and appeared new. Bathroom clean and spotless but inadequate hot water, as in almost none! General areas, elevators and decor showing wear and tear. Needs overall brighter color change and brighter lighting in lobby.

Good habitasion, very good breakfast, good ubicasion and good price.

My boyfriend and I were here for one night and had a pleasant experience. We arrived an hour early and were able to check in, the woman at the desk was very nice and it wasn't busy at all, so we were helped right away. We didn't use any extra amenities so I can't speak about those. Our sink was leaking pretty bad when we got to the room, and the faucet was loose, which, to me, means it has been like that for a little while. I alerted the girl at the front desk the next morning, another helpful person, and she said she would make a note so someone could go fix it. Also, we were disappointed to find our room had no mini fridge. If we were staying longer than one night that would have been a major bummer. As it was, we went to a restaurant before checking in and brought food back with us and had to leave it on the table and hope it didn't spoil. Overall, a nice stay.

The Hotel was great! The rooms where clean although we did wish the room we were in had a microwave. We received delicious warm free cookies upon arrival, and the indoor pool and jacuzzi were open until midnight! We had a wonderful experience. There was no need for us to interact with the staff really because we only stayed overnight but they seemed friendly enough.

The location is good with close proximity to the George Washington bridge. It's a easy drive into NYC. The rooms itself were clean and well equipped but very dated. Lots of tiles were falling apart and everything felt old. The staff were awesome accommodating all our requests. We wanted connected rooms and they quickly obliged. Staff is a plus for this location.

Great place to stay near Manhattan at a reasonable price. A ten dollar shuttle takes you to The Hilton in midtown. The Double Tree is a very nice hotel — clean, modern, with nice pool and a gym. The room was a reasonable size and the furniture looks fairly new. The lobby is attractive and has a restaurant. It's very accessible to highways.

Hotel was close to the city, but had a town car take me in and didn't try the shuttle. Beds were small, but comfortable. Could stand to be renovated and updated. No view of the city, and it is directly off a highway. Pleasant staff.

Spacious rooms with a good location. Near to the George Washington bridge to access New York Manhattan. There is Wi-Fi access in the rooms. Furniture and fittings may be a little aged and worn. They serve breakfast early to allow more time to commute into NYC.

Room was infested with insects. Management did change my room, they later denied the presence of insects despite my witness. Other guests also complained about bugs and their comments were removed. food was very good and staff was professional.

Overall, I had a positive experience at DoubleTree. The check in went smoothly and they gave free cookies. The room service is great as well. The only slight problem is that there's not many shops in walking distance but that's more of a personal preference thing since I like walking outdoors recently. There is a Starbucks nearby which is nice. Also, there is a small gym and pool for guests which is nice.

Nice room and great customer service… however, no microwave or refrigerator in the room or available to guest unless you are on a higher floor. It would have been nice to be informed of this while booking my room (over the phone). Also, no complimentary breakfast.

Great staff! This location is a little older with some upgrades. The staff and service shine here and it's a convenient location for my business trips, as long as you underatand the traffic patterns. Easy to get in and out, free parking, good gym and pool, and you've gotta love the cookie.

Nice hot tub. No complementary breakfast. Overall experience good. Half and half was expired, smoke detector problems kept is awake for a while but nice staffman helped us out. Would stay again.

This hotel is old and nasty. It's not clean. However the bartender and wait staff are amazing! The food is amazing! My family spent time there while moving and it felt like home. Also, the pool and jacuzzi were great!

Really liked the clean room. The building is a bit old but the hotel seemed to have renovated it a bit. The only downside was excessive chlorine smell in the lobby. Otherwise staffs were friendly and really enjoyed the quality of the room.

Reasonable hotel for the price but the biggest draw is the location. It's easy to to just hop in a cab and hit up Manhattan. Can't go wrong with that!

Hotel was well maintained. Free Wi-Fi. Has indoor swimming pool and a hot tub with a jacuzzi. There was a Cafe and Sushi restaurant, which food taste good. Bathroom is also pretty clean. My room was $120 a night. Only complaint is room didn't come with a fridge, and costs $25 to get one. They are also ice and vending machines. Overall, I would come here again.

Staff seemed a bit confused with my digital key upon checking in. Also, they did not tell me I needed to pick up a ticket for the shuttle to Manhattan. On the second day someone randomly walked into my room as if they forgot I was in that room and checked someone in it. On a good note, great shuttle service to New York. Room was clean and In room breakfast was quick and delicious. Room did not have a fridge I was expecting one for the price. Great location, decent price. Overall good experience.

I have stayed here a handful of times for convenience factors but management needs to get some things under control. The price is fine, the rooms are fine but what isn't fine is that each and every time I have gone, there has been some sort of inconvenience. First time I stayed, I unpacked my bags and then realized the AC was broken. After an attempt to fix it by hotel staff, I had to move to another room. The second time I stayed, the TV did not work and I was too tired to change rooms. The cookies are great, but save the dough and have the attendants please go through a proper checklist to make sure everything is in working order.

Long wait at the hotel restaurant. No waiter, the hostess very friendly to did the service. 50 minutes for a very average spaghetti at $22. Room without fridge, stained sheet, aging hotel. I waited 30 minutes for the shuttle going to New York, to make me say that finally she was gone without me. I was waiting in the lobby and I had advised the staff that I was there. I was told we will pick you up… no one came. Only positive, very well organized for the GFNY, with a police escort leading to the bridge in the morning at 5.15h. The dryer outlet was loose and was continually disconnected. The door slamming super strong when closing.

Room air conditioning didn't work and didn't get fixed. Staff was nice and friendly.

Nice hotel. Bad location. Difficult to get in and out of. Nothing within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful and took care of a few small issues I had quickly (A/C not working, TV not working, no shampoo in the bathroom). Everything seemed clean. Great pool/spa and work out room. If you like Asian or Italian food you'll have plenty of choices both in the hotel and nearby.

Enjoyed the free cookies and the cleanliness of the room. However I noticed that the room we received lacked the fridge and microwave. It would've been useful since we booked the room for 3 nights and have a toddler with us.

I was there for a business meeting for a few hours. It was pretty good. They had many meeting rooms.

Not tour bus friendly. No parking for buses. Drivers had to wait an hour for the people to figure out where they were going to park two buses. Another one arrived and he had problems also. One would think if you know you have three or four bus groups coming and they are staying you would make room for them and be prepared. Walls are really thin you can hear people talking in the room next to you and in the halls. Rooms are OK but that is the best you can say about them. Tile work in the bathroom looks like it was done by armatures. Really not what you would expect from a Double Tree. On the good side it has an excellent location.

Cool staff, wonderful looking lobby… nice and clean only issue was the condition of the room; broken tiles in bathroom, peeling wallpaper.

This double tree was not the greatest. I booked my room and paid for it online in full. Then when I checked in I just so happened to look at my bank account and saw that I was charged again. The person who checked me in did not mention anything of this! The room wa decent but I couldn't even take a proper shower because the water was cold. When I called to ask about the extra charge I was told I had to call back later. Seriously?! I do not recommend this hotel at all for the amount that I paid to stay there. I would have had a better night at a motel.

Was convienetly located and the staff was very accommodating. Got a suite and it was very good.

Great customer service. Location is a bit farther out from downtown New York. But the hotel provides periodic shuttle. Make sure to ask ahead of time so you know the schedule.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This is by far the worst hotel ever. ALL the staff were rude, unhelpful and useless. First night, we did not get picked up by the hotel shuttle. Multiple phone calls were made by me (not the hotel staffs) throughout the night to arrange for another pick up due to their mistake. The hotel shuttle is expensive for what it is worth. The van smells like something died in there and it seats at least 13-14 people, not very comfortable during summer. And you can definitely not count on them in returning any lost properties. I left my charger and headphones at the hotel, they made me pay for a service that they never carried out. Again I was the one who had to follow it up with the hotel staffs, mind you, I live in Australia, the time difference is huge. They made no effort in following it up for me at all, instead they lied to cover their mistakes and now they are ignoring my emails. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. I work in customer service and we do not tolerate their kind of behaviour at our workplace, they should know better. The staffs need to undergo training again.
