Clean the rooms! Disgusting! There was hair all over the tub! Dirt and stains on the carpet. Old Soap on the soap dish. Really awful.

HATEFUL TO DISABLED My son and I are disabled and Kirsten has treated us terribly. The room was fine. The must get a lot of criminals here because of the pay she treated me? It's 7 degrees with a windchill up to 35 degrees below zero, we left and they locked us out of out room. I booked this room through Expedia for two nights, just to visit me daughter here. We live in Stevensville. And this place is pet friendly and cheaper than motel 6. She made me show my ID again… which seems silly. We are the only car parked here. Last night I saw three cars total. She treated me like crap when I checked in too. I held the door open so she could see my disabled son clutching his little dog and holding two bags to carry in. It was so cruel. Especially since I called and spoke to the attendant in the earlier daytime shift and he said everything was find… I prepaid! So we were locked out of our room in below zero windchill from a room we already paid for. She just saw my ID two nights ago. She was so rude then too. She obviously has some kind of problem with disabled people.
She could have called me and I would have been right there. It's a nice place. I believe they've made improvements. But Kirsten does not need to talk down to me and be so rude and just awful… it makes me hate this place for the way she treated me.

Terrible place. Do not stay here ever.

Disgusting! Bathroom had hair everywhere, pubic hair in shower, last guests leftover soap still in shower, moldy tiles, I felt dirtier after I got out of shower. Carpet had stains everywhere. Very old dated and need of lots of repairs. Save you money and go to motel 6.

We had reserved a room here. Red Lion is generally known as a fairly decent brand. Unfortunately when we got to the motel oh, there were big signs on the door that said they were closed because someone there had been infected with covid. I completely understand why they closed the motel. But it's very upsetting they didn't bother to tell anyone that they were closed and canceling everyone's reservations. Because we got into town a little on the later side, most of the other motels had no vacant rooms. Had we known this would be a problem, we would have been able to try and get a room earlier, or push on to the next town.

Red lion Inn is usually one of my favorites. But not this one in Missoula. On the positives I will say that the room is very spacious and important for guest with disabilities. On the negative I was lectured about not smoking in the room and being charged if we did. I don’t smoke never have but when we open the door I was hit by the strong stench of smoke. We left the door open for an hour or two trying to air it out. When I ask about a different room I was told that there were no other disability rooms kind of hard to believe since all the parking spaces in front of the other disability rooms were on occupied. They were two great queen size beds in the room however they’re over 2 1/2 feet tall. If you’re in a wheelchair trying to get into a bed that tall it’s pretty much impossible. Then the icing on the cake was no TV. I was told that DIRECTV wasn’t working and that someone was coming out to fix it. I call BS next time maybe pay your bill. No breakfast and blame it on Covid. How about you do what everyone else does and have a little bag lunch. One place we stayed actually had a Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich you could heat up in the microwave and fruit. Cheap cheap cheap Sent from my iPhone.

This place was a dump, the room was "non-smoking" must have just been added last week as it smelled like smoke. There were gross spit out cherry seeds on the floor, the bathroom shower was disgusting. This picture of the hotel must be edited because it was dark, dirty & filthy everywhere. Not to mention its August & the pool was down, no restaurant, the hotel lobby must have been 80 degrees and clammy feeling. I would not recommend this hotel chain anymore as this is my 3rd location that has been a total let down.

Noisy… trashy, dirty, our room near the pool … that was CLOSED, as well as the hot tub CLOSED AND NO WATER. Restaurant CLOSED and FOR SALE. Lamp in our room didn’t work unless you moved the lamp cord around. The door frame that use to have a security flip latch was gone and it looked like someone kicked the door to in and Broke door frame. A lot of homeless and trash around hotel.

We got in late and our toilet was broken and the pool has been closed yet no where does it state the pool is closed.
Spoke to someone and all they could offer was to switch rooms yet it was after midnight and my kids were already in bed. The manager in the morning was no help and rude.
I will not be staying there again.

I’ve seen countless rooms like this at this location, won’t be doing it again lol motels in general are sketchy kinda funny though. Wasted $80 bucks.

The door locking latch was broke looked like the door had been kicked in as the wall behind the door handle had been recently patched and not repainted. Looked to be another patch with dried blood… and definite blood stains on the carpet. The hot water didn't work and no one was sent up to fix in the morning… so no shower… I did get refunded half my money so that was good but note to the staff, make sure your rooms are fully functional and don't look like a murder scene before you book them… room 232 oh and the floor was sticky in spots… very unhappy and will not stay here again.

The room was disgusting, floors were stained with what appeared to be blood and sticky. The door had been kicked in and the top latch lock was just hanging there. Oh and best of all the water DOES NOT WORK! Such a dump, save yourself the hassle of feeling like your going to be robbed or assaulted in the middle of the night or take bedbugs home with you! Room 232!

Decent place with great location for business trip. U fortunately no Wi-Fi during my overnight. Staff was very friendly. Room was comfortable. Nice bathroom with sep sink area. Comfy pillows. Close to downtown restaurants, univ and trail along river.

We stayed one night on our way through to Whitefish. We stayed on the second floor, our room was okay, nothing great, but it was clean. The best thing I can say was that the bed was comfortable. There was no bathtub, just a shower and no coffee pot! The free breakfast was minimal and not very appetizing, we only had coffee. We probably would not stay there again.

I enjoy the Red lion hotel they are pet friendly and we always Travel with our three dogs. They put us on the first floor close to the vet potty area. The location is right in town and the service is good.

Where to start. Arrived late after a long drive. Their computers were down so we were given swipe cards to a room. Get up to the room and they don't work. Go back down and given new cards. Enter room and it is occupied. Finally get into an empty room and it is pretty run down with old pillows and beds. In the a. M. Go down for breakfast. Breakfast burritos look good, but no salsa or sauce. Everything was cold, including the coffee. In the daylight, cleanliness was poor everywhere. Dealt with 5 employees total and only the young lady who checked us out seemed competent and caring. Due to booking online they were old not refund the room as promised the night before. Could not wait to get out of there! The whole place needs help.

Beds were not made up correctly. I moved a chair and found water bottles behind that were not cleared out. Soap dishes by sink and shower were not cleaned. Still had soap chunks left on them. Hair in drain. Our room had coffee cups but no machine. Made me think that the room never was cleaned. Of course I wasn’t expecting a world class breakfast, but there was hardly a breakfast. Not enough food for everyone. I paid extra for Red Lion thinking that it was gonna be like the one in Kalispell… I was a fool.

Would not stay again. 1. Lost my reservation: I made a reservation by calling the hotel directly, provided my credit card number, and was informed that they had no record of my reservation when I arrived. I had made the reservation four hours prior to my arrival. 2. Zero wall outlets in half the room (double queen) : There is a table with two chairs at the entrance to the room and no wall outlets on any of the three walls near the table. There is one outlet on a lamp at a second table, and a three outlet expansion module with two USB ports between the beds. The outlet module indicates that management is aware of the lack of wall outlets and this device is the band-aid style fix for the problem. The electrical guideline is 6ft for outlets, I paced off approx. 34ft. Of wall space from outlet to outlet in this room. "210.52 (A) (1) Spacing Following the floor line from a doorway, fireplace or similar opening, the maximum distance to a receptacle is 6 feet (1.8 meters). Sometimes this requirement is known as the “6-foot rule. ” (See Figure 1. ) Since the maximum distance to a receptacle is 6 feet (1.8 meters), the maximum distance between two receptacles is doubled. Therefore, the maximum distance between receptacles is 12 feet (3.6 meters). " I have no idea how this hotel passed an electrical inspection unless it was grandfathered in due to the age of the structure. 3. Questionable billing practices: At checkout, I was provided an invoice for $145 for the cost of the room.

I'd give 0⛤ but not an option. This place is just horrible. The maids DO NOT change the beds at all. I know because I worked here for 2 days then quit because I am not the maids maid. The new lady that replaced Kerri is a good for nothing B-word. Have fun with the bed bugs and lice. Ta-ta.

The woman working the front desk was very friendly and helped us out and found a room for us after a long day of driving. Overall the property isn't too bad, but I'd choose somewhere else if I stay in the area again. TV and channels we're not so good, sand the creaking floorboards above kept me up until 1 am at least. The beds we're comfortable but you could feel they were getting old. The bathroom was surprisingly great and clean. It is next to the hospital, so we were expecting to hear sirens and helicopters all night, but we didn't, so that was a relief! Overall I think there are better options for the price.

Much better than some reviews indicate. Room was clean, comfy, quiet and nicely updated. Cable TV, microwave, mini fridge, bottle of water, work desk, closet, Wi-Fi… everything and more than the common business travel motels. Even has power strip on nightstand which many of the major chains haven't figured out. Has sink, counter, and mirror both inside and outside bathroom which would be nice if staying with someone. Free breakfast was almost exactly what is provided at Hampton Inn. Good location, short walk to downtown. Pleasantly surprised, would definitely stay again.

This is a large, centrally located motel that has been rated as 2-star. I feel it is better than that and would really shine if the empty restaurant on the premise were utilized. Comfy. Clean. Quite and right in the middle of the action.

FYI — If you book through priceline on a name your price or express deal this hotel charges an additional $20 for a room with 2 beds. Once you book it you can't get a refund either. Also, the receptionist (Sanjana) was very rude about it. I would stay away from this place!

My cousin, her son and I stayed there on Saturday March 24th the room was nice can't complain about the price, but maybe you guys can deep clean all the rooms like wash walls, shampoo carpets, wash your drapes, just make sure the rooms are aired out good so they are not so musty smelling. Other than that the service was great!

Clean and reasonably priced, this is a hotel. Upon receipt of payment I was assigned a room furnished with a bed, chairs, end tables and a television. After spending the night I returned the key card and left. I will definitely return if I need a room to sleep in for the night.

Pretty much a dump. But close to the hospital if you’re there to visit family (as I was). Staff pretty inattentive but pleasant. Both rooms I had were filthy. Nice big bathrooms. With 2nd vanity sink in dressing area. Breakfast mediocre at best.

Room very clean. Employees very nice and helpful. My hubby was in the hospital at ST pats. Hotel was close, affordable and felt safe being a female alone. Only complaint was the lighting in the room. Had four overhead lights and only one bulb out of the four were in the lights.

… besides the ice machine being so so far and there being no kettle in the room… but its super affordable! For the price I slept comfortably and enjoyed all the cable channels. And the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to crash.

Where is the button for negative stars? This disgusting establishment and their staff were sub par to say the very least. You, your family and your belongings are not safe here.

Room was the nicest for the price. This hotel could charge as much as the Hilton. However, the Red Lion Inn is the cheapest in Missoula. I recommend anyone and everyone who stays the night in this town to not think twice about renting a room at the Red Lion Inn. You will not be disappointed.

If during your stay you plan to rest during the day, want some extra peace of mind with your valuables, have intimate time with your loved one, or for any other reasons want to be left alone do not come here. I would absolutely not recommend staying here for this reason alone: they do NOT honor the "Do not disturb" tag on the door, which led me to some unfortunate invasions of privacy. I left the tag on twice during my stay and the staff still wound up coming in the room, but not to do a typical cleaning (that is to say they didn't have the excuse of just not noticing it, they intentionally came in). I would think if they were planning on ignoring my request to not disturb my space they would at least actually clean my room, but they seemingly just wandered in to poke around a bit (e. G. Rearranged my towels). That being said, the staff are friendly, the rooms are standard. The breakfast is typical of a mediocre hotel, and by that I mean fairly horrible, although I've learned to expect as much from a complimentary meal. The Wi-Fi doesn't work on occasion and the rooms are 10 feet from a train track (it doesn't run every night, but when it does you WILL wake up).

We picked this location to stay based on the description of the room and amenities. The website for this location said there was an on-site cafe/restaurant which was closed (out of business). We had intended to eat there to keep from having to go out. Said rooms had coffee (desk person said corporate took them out). Said business center, pool and hot tub (didn't see these). Cookies at check in… nope. Staff was pleasant but not overly helpful. Room was comfortable but a bit cramped. Breakfast (including coffee pot) was fine however items needed refreshing. Can't say it was a bad stay but definitely not up to the standards we've been exposed to at other Red Lion Hotels. We stay in Missoula frequently and decided to give this location a try. However will choose one of our other frequented hotels next time. Was told corporate can only update their description of this property. They need to do this immediately.

Got handicapped accessible room, clean, large bathroom including bathtub stool (removable), daily housekeeping. Hospital 2 blocks away! Had to extend stay due to emergency. They made sure we could keep same room & not move. "Roaring Lion breakfast buffet" fair & varied. Internet, desk, & extra chairs welcome. A. C. & heat worked fine. Centrally located on the Clark Fork river, not far from I-90.

Though the rooms were clean and mostly quiet. They were in serious need of repair. One light didn't function, it had one working bulb out of 8. The bolt on the door was hanging off, one of the screws supposed to holding it was shorn off, two others stripped and the fourth in crooked. The bathroom fan did not function either. If those things were fixed and a coffee pot made available in the room I could give it 5 solid.

They supposedly have a new policy of not providing coffee in the room. How does a person drink coffee in the morning, without first having to completely get ready for the day? I need my coffee before I meet people. We have stayed at this hotel with our red lion rewards for over twenty years. Not after this stay. There are other hotels in the downtown area that we will be using after this night. Room is clean, however it is not as updated as other red lions that we frequent. Not staying here again.

Arrived expecting a first floor room for an elderly person, reserved in advance on the phone. Given a room on the second floor, got to the room to discover it had never been cleaned. An end to a long day traveling at 2:00am. Staff was very nice about it. Only got worse, after being moved to a new room we had left an item behind. Asked the manager about it when we checked out and she acknowledged that it had been brought to the office. However someone employed there decided they wanted it. Really trust those people in your room?

This is my first time to stay at the Red Lion Inn in Missoula. I stayed in several other Red Lion in to cross Montana and always have an excellent experience. This was no different. We got a great room at a great price, and breakfast was really, really appreciated.

My company booked this room for a week. I was here a couple weeks ago and suspected there might of been a mouse in the room but yesterday there was definite proof, it had gotten into one of my protein shakes and you could see the tail trail through the powder. There was mouse poop left there by the TV also near the lamp and inside the dresser! The woman at the desk said she was aware of they have a mouse problem and they are trying to take care of it. She offered to change my room but I will not stay in a place that is infested with mice! The office staff or nice enough in saying that they will refund my company the money but clearly I am not sure that it's safe or healthy to be renting rooms that you know have mice in them. On the plus side there is an outdoor pool and it is 9 feet deep, I enjoyed that one day, the day I checked in before I had to go running from the mice. The room also had a musty smell, orange mildew in the shower and was very old and run down.

Booked this hotel because it was close to hospital where family member was having surgery. Big mistake! Cancelled remaining 2 nights I had booked and went to Marriott Courtyard for less $. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Rooms were dated and dirty. Heater consisted of old, loud space heater that didn't heat the room sufficiently. Cold all night and neighbors very noisy, didn't sleep at all, and security was non existent. Hotel attendant gave key to our room to another party while we were there. Come back to hotel to find them in our room with our belongings. Someone was beating on door all night and trying to get in. Had to call cops twice. Unacceptable! Save yourself the headache of staying here.

The people who work here are very nice and accommodating to the needs of the guests. However, cleaning and maintenance were not up to standard (in my opinion). The room I was assigned to was not well kept. The condition of the bathroom was unacceptable. (Hair in the shower, empty toilet paper rolls dirt and debris in built-up in every corner, filthy trash cans etc). The main room wasn't much better. Surprisingly, when we spoke to the front desk about it, they were very nice, and responded by sending someone to take care of the problem. Unfortunately, whoever they sent, did not do anything more than a surface clean (most of the problems mentioned above were unaddressed). My wife became stuck in the bathroom because of a broken part in the door latch. Once again, I was very impressed with your management, unfortunately it seems your other team members could use some more training.

Staff was very freindly. Room was clean. Beds very comfortable. But room did smell musty. Ands shower needed remodeled.

Got put in a room with a TV that has blown out speakers. I asked to have it replaced, they can't do that, just want to me to change rooms. What a huge inconvenience! Since I am exhausted and pregnant I really don't want to move rooms, so I asked for a pay per view movie. Can't do that. I will NEVER stay here again, and I recommend you do not as well.

Beds are great… Guy at front desk was very rude. Working here in town for awhile and I will be moving hotels because of him. He needs to learn what customer service means. We as paying customers let him have the opportunity to work there. Will not visit again.

Nice spacious room! Love the fridge, and the handicap accessibility was great for my mother who just recently had hip surgery. Very large bedroom and bath both. Lots of towels, very nice artisan toiletries. Room a bit dated overall, but nice new bedding, and the overall color was attractive. No unpleasant smells. Exterior entrances, but the evening was quiet. Decent breakfast. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. Internet was a bit slow and flaky though. At first I couldn't get on at all, but in the evening it was better. I did try call the front desk staff a few times over the course of about 20 min in the afternoon (but it was about 5 o'clock so probably a busy time for them) to troubleshoot but was unable to get a response. Very reasonable rates. Would stay again.

The rooms were clean but funky. Great toiletries and nice staff.

Decent place to stay. About a 10 minute walk to downtown, maybe less. Pretty clean. A few small things could have been taken care of in my room (door lever needed to up instead of down to open, bathroom door didn't want to close very easily). Staff was friendly and courteous. I thought the price was good. I would stay again.

This hotel says it is pet friendly, however, when checking in it has you sign to say you will keep your pets off the furniture and will be charged a cleaning fee for "excessive amounts of pet hair" on top of the $15 fee to have your pet stay there. The floors of the hotel room were stained with pet urine. And the pet areas were limited to the room and a 4 by 10 foot patch of grass. I will not be staying there again. Not worth the money I paid.

Very nice place. Great location downtown. Staff was on point. The rooms are very large and clean. The soaps are amazing.

The bed was comfortable. The furniture was dated. The room smelled musty and the shower was full of mold.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and parking was abundant. All around it was a good place to stay, if a little dated in its furnishings.

Our air conditioner was broken on a 95 degree day. They put in a portable unit that struggled to cool even a portion of the room. When I tried to call the front desk, I found the phone did not work. The room smelled bad, like spoiled Indian food. The smoke alarm had clearly been tampered with and was hanging by wires from the ceiling.

Horrible, trashy all walkways, pool was green and filthy, hot tub empty, and can't believe they were charging $179/nt. Motel 6 would have been a better an cheaper stay!

Was a cheap room compared to other hotels in the area. However it was filthy. Food stuck in the chairs. Stains from I'm not sure what all over the upholstery. Didn't want to sit down. The parking lot looked like an ashtray. Dont think they ever swept the lot. Won't ever stay there again. No matter how cheap they are.

This place is a dump. For $100 I got a room with a piece of crap heater that didn't work, the room was freezing, outside air was drafting in around the heater which was sitting in the window (there were gaps between the heater and window open to the outside air), so I changed rooms in the middle of the night only to find a TV with no cable. I had to "scan" for channels, which took forever, only to end up with 13 analog, local channels. Then the next morning I get to enjoy a shower with water barely hot enough for a shower, even when turned all the way on hot. I complained to the girl at the front desk when I checked out but she didn't care. There were no comment cards or anything for me to fill out. I will never stay at this or any other Red Lion ever again.

Don't stay here. We had a room with an extremely loud portable air conditioner with a cheap exhaust hose that went out the window. I was informed that several rooms had those due to the main air conditioners being broken due to their freezing. The room smelled bad. It smelled like it used to be a smoking room and they tried to cover it up, but it didn't work. When I asked for a different room I was informed they were full, so my husband and I suffered through the night. We had been driving all day, so we were not happy. The next morning I went to the office again to try and negotiate a cheaper price since our experience had been so unpleasant. I was told that whomever said they were full the previous night was mistaken, and not only that, they couldn't give me a price break since I had pre-paid! I repeat — Don't stay here, and if you must, do not pre-pay.

They gave a complimentary deck of cards when we checked in. Not sure why, but hey, we'll take it! The room was nice with some classy touches. Large bathroom and eco-friendly toiletries. Beds were comfortable. The ice machine was broken but that's really the only complaint. The hot breakfast in the morning was one of the best we had on our trip. It was my first trip to Missoula but we'd stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place should be shut down its so horrible. Trust me the good reviews here have been left by Red Lion. Its dirty beyond belief and the smell made me want to vomit. I had to leave after an hour without even staying here. The hotel tried to up sell me when I complained. I finally just left. I will contest the charge on my credit card.
