I do not recommend staying at this roadside motel at all. Apparently, the remote was missing from the room my friend and I rented for one night. We got in very late after driving from yellowstone (probably about 10:30/11) and checked in after hours. We proceeded to go up to our room in the back building, we both started to unpack for the night. I had turned the TV on but didn’t see the remote. I didn’t feel like looking for it, so I just turned it off, we both showered and went straight to sleep. While we’re were driving to Glacier Nat’l Park, my friend received a phone call saying we must have packed the remote away because it DEFINITELY was there when we checked in. But we didn’t see it or use it. When my friend explained this she was called a liar in so many words that we must have it. She was told she would be charged SEVENTY-FIVE dollars for a new remote. She questioned why it was so expensive and there was no excuse given. She then continued to say if it “even was” missing we should have called. It was trivial to us after traveling and hiking all day, but we are still being held financially responsible for a VERY expensive remote that we just didn’t look for. The issue of this is not only the extraordinary cost of a single remote (we didn’t actually lose, use, or even see) but the lack of customer service entirely. We are both in the hospitality industry and my friend is a full time marketing manager. This is unacceptable.

10/10 would not recommend this hotel, the owner/hotel hosts are extremely unprofessional and the service is less than satisfactory. I was charged $370 for a 1 night stay without a change in price of fees being discussed with me. Being a business owner myself I take pride in customer service and communication and will not be staying here ever again. Apparently service dogs are not welcome. Very unfortunate for the little town of Ennis.
