Horrible experience. We drove all day from Virginia so we were tired when we got there and went straight to bed. First the room (318) smelled musty and the TV was already on when we got there. We found out that it didn’t turn off so we just lowered the volume. The next morning after a wrestles night, I found a German roach in bed with me! All night I felt like something was crawling in me, it made me nauseous to see a roach in a hotel that prides itself on cleanliness. Then we found there was very low cold water pressure and the tub dripped all night. It was very hard to turn the water on in the tub, you almost needed a pipe wrench to turn it in. On our way out we noticed the hallway way was hot and dirty. We stayed in several Holiday in expresses on our way from Texas to Virginia and back and this was the only disgusting one. For some reason this site would not let me post the disgusting pictures I took!

No USB ports hot tub not working.

Awesome and friendly people. So amazed. At quality of caring for travelers and they went out of their way to accommodate. Thank you. Definitely will book again!

The staff was very friendly and apologetic; however our room had NO towels. When we asked for some the man said the only ones they have clean are stained. The bathtub was clogged and in order to shower I had to pull out a glob of hair out as big as the palm of my hand with who knows what else. Someone had spllied their food in the elevator and it had to have been there for days.

We recently stayed here being IHG members and we will never return! The rooms smelled like sweaty feet, the air conditioner was broken, the sinks and tubs wouldn’t drain, the tile in bathroom was cracked. No hair dryer, our main light didn’t work so all we had for light was the lamp. The coffee pot was broken, they didn’t serve breakfast or tell us about breakfast bags. The front desk was out of EVERYTHING! They came and got our towels but didn’t give us anymore! The laundry room was overflowing with liens with the door open for everyone to see! The pool was nasty with smelly cloudy water! There was never anyone at the front desk! We had to wait 10-15 mins every time we approached! Very extremely disappointed! Do not recommend staying here!

I came to your hotel at 5210 Crossroads, Texarkana, AR at 2:10 and have never had trouble checking in a little early. I was told they had no rooms cleaned. REALLY? If it’s 2:10 and no clean rooms how are you possible going to have all rooms cleaned by 3 for check in. The girl working just didn’t want to be bothered. She made a point to look at the clock and said check-in is at 3! And she made sure to make us wait until 3 to check in.

All staff is in training or something… just lost in the their job. Offered an upgrade for free and then charged it. No sheets for the sofa bed that they upgraded me to. Air not cooling and tub not draining. Ugh!

For a new build, it was not clean and very cheaply put together— not the norm we gave experienced with Holiday Inn Expresses. Staff was less than stellar.

Nice hotel with lots close by, always a great rate here as well.

Very clean room. The pool & hot tub had perfect temperatures and there were plenty of towels. The receptionist went out of her way to be accommodating for us since we needed adjoining rooms. She had a really pleasant personality and was easy to work with.

When I tried to call the hotel to request information about check in, there was no way to reach the front desk. I actually had to call a neighboring hotel and have them call for me. The hotel itself was nice, the room was a good size and was clean. Breakfast was good, their cinnamon buns were great. This is not the hotel's fault of course but it was crazy and worth mentioning that some woman kept leaving her BABY on one of the bar stools with no supervision or restraints. Luckily he didn't fall.

Reasonable. In the process of replacing all toilets. Nice people. Hot food isn't always hot, perhaps not a lot of people today, though they said they were full. No gluten free pastries this time.

Overall an excellent stay. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a very good hot breakfast available everyday. There is also a small fitness area and an inside pool and spa. Would stay again.

Easy access, clean, and breakfast was amazing. Only downside was that the toilet was very hard to flush and the AC system sounded, at times, like a helicopter was flying by (loud, buffering pattern). Overall, a decent stay.

While this hotel is not very old, it's not well taken care of. The carpets in the hallways are stained. The toilet in my room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and the bathroom faucet only put out hot water. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

Will do the trick. Had to switch rooms because minifridge wouldnt close & was leaking on the floor, plus the TV had something funky with it and wouldn't work right — brightness settings were way off and everything got dark suddenly too. Loud, old AC. If I was staying for longer, I'd switch rooms again because of the weird mildewy smell in the second room, but I can stand it for a night. Hotel lobby was out of coffee too, which is a minor thing, but cheapened the already cheap experience. Was nice to have a pool and hot tub, but def felt a little groady. Not the worst, not the best. Fine for a stop, but don't expect a nice stay. Staff is good though, no fault of theirs, and they were very kind and attentive.

They us very nice to me abd family and friends when stay at the one in Oakbrook il.

Always clean always friendly always very accommodating highly recommend it.

Really? You can’t make a bed up because “they belongs” (Head of housekeeping said this to me), are left on the bed? Pillows, you can’t touch a flipping pillow? Should have been told that at check-in. Breakfast is a microwaveable JOKE.
My husband and I travel A LOT with our job so we spend about 9 to 10 months out of the year in hotels. Have never been told to not leave personal stuff on the bed if you want it made. Isn’t that one of the perks of staying in a hotel? Not enough lighting in room and fridge is so small. Starting to reconsider my IHG Rewards.

Door to room did not close completely. There was a gap at lock that could easily be broken into. Bathroom door would not shut completely. No smoking Room smelled it had been smoked in then a lemon cover up spray used. Very disappointed!

Okay rooms, clean. The hot tub wasn't hot. Very disappointing. They did have a good breakfast.

Plenty of parking, nice clean rooms and up to date amenities. Great for passing through.

The upgraded, 2-queen suite is huge! Biggest single-space hotel room I've ever had. Staff was courteous and helpful — even giving a few complimentary items not usually offered. Breakfast was great and the attendant was super-helpful with one of our party that had special, dietary needs. We had three problems inside the room: 1. Starburst wrappers on the floor when we walked in (room was very clean otherwise) 2. Clogged toilet 3. No bedding for the sleeper sofa Maintenance came within 10 minutes to fix the toilet, and bedding arrived just after. Overall, a great choice. I just hope they get the housekeeping up to speed.

Room was clean with a comfortable bed — — indoor pool was cold and no hot tub because of maintenance issues — — breakfast was good for a hotels heat and serve items. If you are a light sleeper noise does travel thru floors and walls. Staff were freindly and helpful — — Internet worked well about 15mb /6mb when I ran speed test with no delays on general web surfing. Tv cable was good with standard channel selection with an add on of 10hbo channels.

We booked rooms at the Holiday Inn Convention Center and they called to ask if we would move to the HI Express because they were overbooked, so we did. This hotel may be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in years. It was far from clean including the linens and the bathroom. We had three rooms and we just had to grin and bear it. I do not usually write reviews, but we left there very unsatisfied and on top of that they put us in a suite because it was the only room they had and charged us for a suite instead of a regular queen bed room price. Think twice about staying at this hotel.

Decent. The room was not too bad however they are currently doing renovations. Nice bathroom mirror with light behind however no towel rack and no toilet paper holder. Maybe it was just this room. Older hotel for sure but overall enjoyable stay.

Dissapointed. Checked into a dirty room & was told, "On No! Not again This keeps happening tonight! " Rectified, but not the cleanest overall. Kinda bare bones for a Holiday Inn. Probably won't add this location.

My daughters birthday is in the cold months and she wanted to have a slumber party with an inside pool. We booked the hotel and came in and the girls got ready to go swim, however we get down to the pool and the pool itself and the pool room was FREEZING. The heater was broke in the pool as well as the room. We couldn't get in the hot tub because it was broken as well. It wouldn't have mattered except that was the main reason we picked this hotel. However, the lady at the front desk was super nice. She did her best to get atleast the room warmer with no luck. She was nice all the way around. It was not her fault, she had EXCELLENT customer service! I wish I would have got her name!

The staff are all great. My room however needed a lot of work. There was a mildew smell, the toilet seat was all but completely broken. There was a thermostat that did not work just hanging from the wall.

Stayed one night. Just passing thru. I drive a big truck so I parked out front off the street. Breakfast is hot with meats and eggs. Great staff. Highly recommended!

Very clean nice hotel. Slept very well. Breakfest was ok. Little better quality in cooking would be nice. All in all nice place.

Worst stay at a HI ever. TV didnt work right (screen jumped around), no ice maker on floor, air conditioner sounded like a jet airplane and washer & dryer didn't work. When we mentioned it at checkout the clerk snapped at us saying the TV worked yesterday because she checked it… there are many choices in the area. I wont be choosing this one again.

If I could give a — 10, I would. When making reservations, I explained that I could not be in a room where someone had smoked. Smoke residue makes me physically ill. The roon reeked of smoke and air spray. That was just the beginning of this mess called an hotel. This is the 2nd worse hotel experience I have ever had.

Good stop. Quick stop. Didn't try breakfast was in late out early.

The lady Joy that checked us in was very personable and friendly! We enjoyed the upbeat, professional attitude she had! Was very warm and friendly.
We were a little disappointed that we couldn't watch the football game because NFL network was unavailable!

Amazing service. When we entered our room, it had a pungent smell resembling mildew and cleaning agent. The air conditioner cover was off and was blowing warm air while the unit claimed 64 degrees. It was not working with the room thermostat which was thumb tacked (yes, thumb tacked) to the wall. This is where the good service came in. We were instantly given another room on another floor. In the new room, all was well except a light odor and a geco we found in the morning on the floor. Breakfast was sub par with the juice machine being out of service. Tiles in the elevator were cracked and missing and had painters tape filling the gaps. No elevator permits were in elevators. We did sleep very well though and that with the service earns it 2 stars in my book.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast. Close to the interstate so you can get anywhere fast. Beds are nice and they give you plenty of pillows.

We picked thus hotel because they had an indoor pool, hot tub, and pancake maker for breakfast… the indoor pool was ice cold, to the point we couldn't swim in it, the hot tub was cold and greenish and didn't turn on, and the pancake maker was "out of service"… on top of that the room had a bad smell… I would not recommend.

Super clean hotel. Love that they have energy drinks at the front, can't find in most hotels. Great experience and WILL be back!

First, let me say the staff was very very nice here. That in itself is gold. The hotel itself is relatively new, within the last decade I'd think. But it wasn't very clean. Cleaner tham some hotels I've been to, but it was on the edge of bothering me. Our room was a good size, again it has some repairs that could be attended too, mostly things that didn't get finishes like water sprinkler covers little things. It had a desk, but no desk chair. Not a big deal right? I thought that until I needed a chair, even a desk chair… The bed seemed harder than normal to me. Maybe I was sore from traveling, no one else in my group complained. The pool was nice and they kept it open late. Breakfast was the usual HIE fare but at 8am had a lot of things that needes filled. One hotel guest was brave enough to knock on a door and ask for a refill and he got a somewhat short, "she's working on it. " Not rudely said however. Everyone else nice as pie. Got a great price on the room. They just need to pay attention to some details and keep things cleaned up.

My sister and I had a very wonderful stay. The Staff is the GREATEST, they know what customer service is all about, the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, we just can't say enough about everyone there, Thank You and May God bless each and everyone of the staff and their Families, Much Love to each of you.

I think it's the most cleanest nicest holiday inn I have ever seen the people and staff are amazing and work very very hard thanks you guys.

Accommodations were nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fair. However, the sound proofing between floors is terrible. I could hear every footstep and there was a youngster that did a lot of running up to midnight. Poor design and construction. If you stay there you will get a good night's rest on the top floor.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was clean and so was the fitness room. The breakfast was what you would expect at a Continental breakfast nothing fancy but enjoyable nonetheless. It was affordable and good quality.

We got the suite and it was way bigger than we expected. Breakfast was awesome and the kids had a blast in the pool!

The suite that we got is spacious, clean and the bathroom is nice. The staff was friendly. The indoor pool was fun, my grandsons could not get enough of it. The breakfast could've used bacon though, but the sausage gravy was yummy.

We had an amazing stay on 3-11-16. I can't remember the name of the front desk concierge, but he was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond. We will definitely be stopping here again on our travels. Thank you!

The clerk on duty (Ron/Rob? ) was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt with helping us make our reservation by phone & once we arrived he greeted us by name and quickly brought up the extras we asked for (crib & more pillows). The room was clean and quite comfortable! The hotel was quiet and we had a very restful sleep. At a quick glance the breakfast items seemed to have a variety of options and the checkout staff was just as friendly leaving as they were coming. I would definitely stay there again!

Very friendly staff! Room was nice and clean except for the bathroom… walls were filthy due to major spill not being cleaned and towels were very thin. For the most part the continental breakfast was pretty good, but the cinnamon rolls and omelets were cold and they ran out of coffee and some of the juices.

The pool area was clean, but lacked towels until I called the front desk. The hot tub was just a hot bathtub, in an uneasy shade of yellow green. The jets did not work. The workout room look very nice, the breakfast bar area is very comfortable. I'm a huge fan of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites breakfast. I've been living in and out of them from 5 months. This location has the worst breakfast service of the 5+ I've stayed in. The coffee is awful, there was no one making sure that everything was staying stocked. The pancake machine (which is AWESOME), ran out of dough, the cinnamon roll was stale, they didn't refill the sausage gravy until 910am (breakfast ends at 930. ) The orange juice was basically orange colored water, and the water spout was empty (on the 4 spout juice machine). This is all while staff is chatting at the front desk, and the F word is being shouted 5-6 times. I do mean shouted, as a man chased another man out of the front door. The facilities are great, the hotel looks brand new, and the location was perfect. But the areas I've mentioned (mainly with housekeeping and hospitality) have room for great improvements.

For the price, spectacular. Newly remodeled. Comfy beds, sound-isolating rooms. We had one problem, but they handled it gracefully. We were willing to pay extra for a hot tub… they had one and even said it was working when we made reservation. It broke that day… accidents happen, but we were disappointed. The desk clerk knocked our bill down to the price of another hotel in town without a hot tub. Nice save!

The Holiday Inn franchise would do well to retrain there employees as to how to deal with there customers and the upkeep of the building. Our keys had to be reprogrammed twice once for entry into the exercise room and then to get into our room. The lady at the front desk said they had had problems with the lock and that employees keys seem to be the only ones that worked. If that is the case then get it fixed especially since you list an exercise room as an amenity for customers to enjoy. It would be nice to be able to use it without the hassle of getting my key reprogrammed every time I want in. The bathroom in our room was not the best. The exhaust fan worked off and on, the toilet seat was ready to fall off, and there was water damage on the ceiling above the tub. The paint was peeling and hanging down and the tub looked as though it had not been scrubbed in a while. The microwave in the room didn't work so had to go to front desk and use one they had. It seemed we spent more time going to the front desk then relaxing in our room. However on a positive note the host serving breakfast was very nice and did a great job in making all the guests feel welcomed and well fed! Thanks to her for a job well done.

This place needs to fire the maintenance crew and start over. AC is leaking all over the floor. The carpet is soaked 1/3 of the way across the room. Stains on carpet and furniture are disturbing. The toilet seat just falls off. The water doesnt get hot. Try ignoring it by channel surfing but you only get 10 channels or something and 8 of em nobody watches, but you have to flip through 400 that require subscription because they didnt bother to program the TV to the 10 channels they have. I live on the road and stay here exclusively but I will stay with my next time through Texarkana.

They were remodeling everthing! The workout room is only like two treadmills. And just to top it off the fire alarm went off at midnight and woke us up! terrible.

The staff was great! Felt safe during the stay and the accommodating staff were more than we could have hoped for! Every need was met.

The front desk is staffed with incompetent people. The “gym” is a closet with a few weights and 10 year old treadmills that don’t work properly. The jets on the hot tub don’t work. I stayed for a week for work and was very dissatisfied. There are a ton of hotels in the area. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Didn't have the best first experience and I hate leaving a bad review before I try it twice but I spoke with other guests and all agree the employees subpar at best at all times of the day. The only person I Really like and was great was the breakfast host. Rooms were good though and cute girls at the front.
