Called when on way. Told desk would be a late check in (5:30) when we arrived tried getting anyone to answer door (locked) and phone for 30 mins.
No response.

The pool, awesome fridge and microwave.

Front desk people were very nice. Once I got into my room, I noticed the toilet did not work and the TV remote did not work. I walked back to office, they were apologetic and gave me another room. In the 2nd room, the toilet was very slow to flush and I had to hold the handle down. The TV remote only worked within 2-3 feet of the TV. All very inconvenient. There were broken bathroom tiles, broken furniture and the air conditioner was VERY loud. The sidewalks and grounds were very unkept. There were huge, dead tree limbs all over the property.
I paid $63 for this room (taxes and all). It should have only been about $43!
The weekend price was $93! Ridiculous! Not worth $63 much less $93!
I’ll never make the mistake of staying here again. Never.

If you like away from the city noise this is the place to be, just outside of town by Lake Hamilton & some rooms even have a small lake view. Rooms are clean, service is great, cost is even better!

Front desk lady was so nice checking us in. Looked like a nice property until we actually got to our room. Upon opening the door we were hit with an ungodly smell, I couldn’t tell if it was mold or what? My husband said maybe the maids spray air freshener? I’m not sure but it was horrible. I went to get in the shower but the shower button thingy didn’t even work for the water to come out the shower head. Mold on the carpet along with the carpet bunching & having burn holes in it. There were still Pringles crunched up in the corner next to the fridge I assume from the previous travelers. We tried for about an hour to take the smell and I Just couldn’t. We went to ask for a refund and spoke to Sunny. He was apologetic and issued a refund. I asked him if the maids used air freshener in the room, he said he assumes they do. If so they need to change scents, because I’ve never smelled mold scented air freshener. Anyways we checked out and went to the Comfort Inn & for $8 more we got such a nice room and a free breakfast included. There was a nice view & the staff was decent is the only good things I can say for this property.

The property is an older property, however the scenic view is amazing. It is a quiet, comfy, country setting get away that is perfect for one or multiple. Plus it is pet friendly with zero deposit!

We had no problems! Room was clean and bed was comfy! Worth the value. Just don't forget to bring your own hair dryer and iron. No breakfast but I expect that for this value. It's not a 4 star hotel. I would stay here again for sure! Especially during racing season when others are charging $199 per night and we snagged this one for $69. Score!

Worst experience in a hotel I have EVER had. First night my mother in law and her family stayed, they rented a room for TWO NIGHTS. They next morning the people that live on sight came banging on the door and kicking them out. They tried to explain that they paid for 2 nights and he just kept cussing at my mother in law. They made them get EVERYTHING out of the room and when they went to the lobby she said it was just a misunderstanding and sent them right back. The next day we all rented 3 different rooms. Our aunt and her daughter got out of the pool and went to their room and she forgot something in the car, so she walked out to get it and forgot the key. She locked her key and daughter in the room. So we had someone climbing the deck to get to the room because of a baby being in there by herself! They came out of their room and started screaming and cussing at us and we were nice regardless of how they treated us the day before. We explained to him that there was a baby in there by herself and he proceeded to tell us that he didn’t care that there was a baby in there. The housekeepers were right there in that room too. All they had to do was get out their keys and unlock the door, but instead they made us risk that babies life and go all the way to the lobby and have them make us another key. The couple are military and they didn’t even care about that either. They wouldn’t give us a refund and let us go somewhere else. They didn’t care at all.

The rooms stunk. The manager didn't speak English and the complementary breakfast was a joke… but… I would probably stay again cuz it was cheap… lol.

The price is great. The TV remote would not turn on/off or raise or lower the volume. But the people were nice, and breakfast was great!

We stay here a couple times a year as we stop traveling through. The beds are comfortable, and basically all we do is sleep there. A drawback is the pool has never been opened, in all the years we've come through there. I would say it's the time of year we travel, but you would expect the pool to be open on 4th of July weekend? It's affordable, and it's comfortable, it's a great place for just stopping through. I don't think I personally would stay there if we were actually visiting that area and we were going to stay more than a night.
