I stayed at motel 6 on stardust July 24. I was in the middle of a stressful move. I was dirty and tired. The young lady at the desk made me feel very welcome. The room was amazing! The sheets, floors, and bathroom was spotless. I was so comfortable I decided to stay an additional day. I was greeted by another desk clerk that was just as nice and caring as the first. I would recommend this place to any and everyone looking for clean, professional, and friendly accommodations! Keep up the good work.

The motel is in a relatively shady area of town, but they have low rates, a security guard on patrol, they monitor which cars are in the lot, and there are significantly worse parts of town. There was only one single bed in a smoking room, but the attendant at the front desk was wonderful and attentive to our needs when our key didn't work on our door. The rates increased significantly by the time the weekend hit (60%+), but it's a short drive to the river, and it's right beside I-80. The employees were all nice, and a lot of the visitors looked like travellers, but there were a few people who appeared to be using illicit drugs in the area. Overall, it's a typical low-cost motel option, but if you can, some of the downtown hotels may have lower nightly rates.

Staff was in training; yet were extremely helpful. Additionally, I would like to give amazing kudos to the lady who checked me in. My wallet had been stolen and she was patient and helpful as I was attempting to get my ID to meet the check in requirements. I was nervous about losing the room. She assured me she would do everything possible to get me in the room quickly. She did. Within 5 minutes I was in the room and had a nice, quiet evening. Please thank her.

I enjoy this Motel 6 more than the others that are sprinkled throughout Reno, Nevada! The location is much more private, since it's not in the center of town, and it's much quieter. I also love the newer upgrades, such as the TVs, mini fridges & bathrooms! Though, the corner shower looks nice, it actually made me claustrophobic. Other than that, the rooms reals inviting, as well as spacious. Even with two beds! What I was disappointed about, was the lack of an option for Late Check Out. Since when?! I NEED that kinda luxury, I'm not a morning person. Besides that, I would recommend this Stardust location about any other in the area. Excited to try out Studio 6 soon, too!

Altogether a pleasant stay for the price — appreciated the senior discount. Only thing — I had to contrive a counter in the bathroom to hold my toiletries by placing a bath towel over the luggage rack. Not convenient. Would have appreciated something else.

The hotel was not in the best neighborhood. The door to the room was very difficult to open. Water pressure in the shower was very weak. Room however was modern and updated. Very clean, with the exception of the air conditioner vent. I was happy with the price for what we got. ($45.00 per night)

Location = convenient, but extremely noisy due to proximity to freeway and poorly insulated/weatherstripped rooms. Needs free Wi-Fi. Rooms need available electrical outlets (there were none in our room). We had specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the confirmation showed that, but we were first assigned a room that reeked of tobacco. Fortunately, GM Greg was able to assign us to another room that was somewhat better.

I do not recommend this place at all. I have always stayed at at motel 6, cause it is good for people on a tight budget while traveling, and most allow pets. But this trip was a little different. We were on a bottom level room, I guess the front desk decided to put some loud as people above us. At around 1:30 in the morning the people in the room above us were letting their children jump on the beds and walking around, making way too much noise, that we decided rather then try to sleep for the rest of the night, we would get up and drive home, and we live in southern California. My dad and I both complained to the front desk, and nothing was done about the noise, and they did not offer a refund. So we did drive about 9 hours after leaving. I will definitely think twice about staying with a motel 6 again.

Very pleasant staff and the room was very clean. Nice to see a security guard there also. I definitely would stay there again.

A terrible experience. The booking: there was nothing clear that this was a non-smoking/smoking room. We arrived and it was a smoking room which is not what we want. Looking at the confirmation there was nothing to say one way or the other. The room: besides being a smoking room, the sheets had hair in them like the sheets hasn’t been changed. The shower floor was dirty. The shower had what looked like burn marks in the stall. We had to hide our clothes in our luggage to keep them from stinking of cigarette smoke. The neighbors: quiet hours were hollow words to others. I think people were living there long term. People were loudly partying till 2am. The walls were paper thin. If we hadn’t been so exhausted from driving 10 hours, we would have found another place to stay or slept in the car if we knew what we were in store for. No value for money. The only good thing about this stay is the story we will get to tell for years about the worst night we’ve ever spent in a motel. Thanks Motel 6

The property was clean. The room was clean and the front desk was courteous. The room was a little overly 'scented' and the top hinge of the bathroom door kept pulling away from the frame (the wood screws your maintenance guy used were way too small). We had to prop the bathroom door open — to avoid any pet crushing incidents. If it hadn't been late and we hadn't been so tired — we would have asked for another room (or bigger screws) and I'm sure they'd have been helpful.

Definitely a sketchy motel. Lots of rough people hanging outside of their rooms smoking with their door half open. Although most people don't heed the rules of a no smoking room, ours smelled of cigarettes that was uselessly masked by strong cleaning products, and cigarette burns in the bedding. Woken up in the middle of the night with gunshots kept me on edge. The TV was stuck on a "demo mode" like you see in a store displaying features of the TV, couldn't figure out how to turn it off. It also lacked convenient plugs near the bed to charge cell phones. Motel 6 didn't offer free Wi-Fi, which I guess is their prerogative to charge for it, however it seems uncommon. The one thing I can say was nice, the bathroom was updated, it has an all plastic shell construction which is nice to clean out with a hose. The only hotel I have ever seen this was in Belgium. Pay an extra 20 bucks and stay somewhere else.

Every time me and my husband stay here we are treated very well. The staff are very professional and polite, as well as the housekeepers. Rossy was are housekeeper for the week we stayed and she is absolutely amazing. She brought us clean towels daily and changed our linen daily.

The place was very clean. They worked with me when I showed up early. And made the process so easy. Staff was respectful and very accommodating Altho the rooms didn't have a hair dryer for my girlfriend. But that was only a small thing and didn't affect my wanting to stay here.

Do not stay here. Ever. We were given a room with someone else's BLOOD on the sheets. Fresh blood stain! (View yelp for the pic) Despite my requests for housekeeping twice, all we were given was an extra blanket to throw on top by the front desk after housekeeping had never came. Disgusting. Not only that, but housekeeping never came during our stay… I had to walk to the front in the freezing cold to even get toilet paper. Also, door issues. Our key kept having to get rekeyed. Every time we would get back to the motel, late at night and in the freezing cold, we would take the kids upstairs and not be able to get into the room. I would have to go get a new key three times during our stay while the kids wait outside in the cold! I had made three complaints to different staff about our stay and they told me the manager would not be in until Monday. To top off a horrendous experience, the last day of our stay room service came at 12:24 pm (the first time they even came to our room in the 3 days that we were there) to tell us we needed to check out. I told her that we would be staying another night (not that we wanted to — but we didn't feel well and have a long drive home). The manager came 10 minutes later and told us that it was "too late" to rent the room for another night. Total BS. I've stayed at probably 15 different motel 6's and have never had a problem extending my stay for another night 30 minutes past checkout time.

The front desk agent was terrible. She gave us the option of two different rooms and then after waiting over an hour for the room we chose she ended up putting us in a completely different room that wasn't even part of the original offer. We paid for a king bed and ended up getting a room with two queens. The woman at the front desk also told us they were known for having people who sold drugs and their bodies out of the motel, which is why they had to take copies of our IDs. All and all a bad experience that I do not recommend.

Bed was comfortable. Shower easy to get in and out of. Location was near to where we wanted to visit. Room a bit tiny per husband but I was fine with it. Just wish they had in room coffee and safety bar by toilet.

I'm very impress about everyone at Motel 6 West, NV. I will stay at this location during every opportunity that comes. The veterans like Wendy and Dulcinea and all the others even during rush time at the office desk they go far to accommodate all the customers. I personally has been well attended during my time. The youngsters at the office or new associates need just a little more patience and more time in the position to learn more about the trade. The good thing, they do apply themselves. Recommend you, is a YES!

Easy to find, quick and friendly check in, clean room with newer bathroom features. Parking is very limited, had trouble finding a spot at night. Room was quiet despite the motel being right alongside Hwy 80. Happy with the quality and low price.

This Motel 6 is off the beaten path, as far as all the turns you need to make to get to it from the highway… The rooms are just so-so… Nothing special and not even as good as some other Motel 6 rooms. Don't bother with the coffee… It isn't worth it unless you actually like cheap, bulk, drip coffee. The rooms are not as warm in the winter as some would like… The staff was very friendly though, and the linens were clean and fresh. No detectable bugs. Reasonable, just…

Awesome service decent prices. However the cleaning was uuhhh. Hair all over the bathroom, not sure that the even clean under the beds or furniture. You will also be approved by homeless. However it's better then the other motel 6 here in town.

The room was small. Shower did not work properly. The shelf above the sink was to close to the water Faust and would not turn on fully. The valve on the discharge of the tub would not allow the water to stop running in the shower head and my wife got a face full before she could turn the shower head away. Other than that the heater worked and the bed was comfortable.

Motel 6 on Stardust street was very clean and very quiet. No bugs, no drug addict either. The lady at the front desk I think her name was Rachel, she was very friendly and welcoming. I will be staying at this location again in the future.

The grounds was clean and well taken care of. The rooms were pleasantly newt and very clean. The area as a whole was very quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and answered the few questions I did have. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheap clean room on reno.

The room was dirty. There was a long dark hair across the bar of soap and the floor of the shower was all grimy. The table was in the middle of the room and the housekeepers didn't even bother to straighten the lamp shades. Literally every lamp shade in my room was very noticeably crooked. But ya know, when you make a trip last minute and go to a cheap place, you can't expect it to be perfect. You get what you pay for. Also, I was shocked that the room didn't even have a shampoo in the shower? I don't think I've ever been to a hotel/motel where there wasn't complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Instead we had to go to the lobby and get it out of a vending machine.

Hotel is directly next to Interstate 80 so road noise is high. A noise barrier would be good idea. Hardwood floors are great but should be cleaned more often. The room was always well cleaned otherwise. Evening office staff is excellent.

This hotel was far from fancy so if you plan on staying here, don't come with high expectations. This hotel is a good distance from downtown and doesn't have many restaurants or stores in the surrounding area except the Denny's that it shares it's parking lot with. It doesn't seem like its in the best part of town but I still felt safe, as long as my door was locked. The hotel itself has the basic amenities one would expect but nothing over the top. There is no pool, no gym, and no continental breakfast. The rooms are are nice enough that I was happy with what I got for the price I paid, the rooms are very reasonably priced. If your just looking for a cheap place to lay your head for the night and are okay with just a basic motel room set up, this place will be just fine.

The receptionist was great. Very friendly and nice but once in the room wasn't what I expected. Broken fan in bathroom, cigarette burns in the bathroom, NO Coffee pot! Also the main lock on the door was barely on the door and no shampoo or conditioner. Probably not the best room I've been too since my honey moon. It was a quiet stay and notice employees cleaning up trash in the am.

We've stayed there before but noticed it wasn't as clean this time as before. The blankets and bedspreads were very stained and very well used. Floors were not clean. The bathroom was clean and in good shape. Just hate to see this place start going downhill as so many of the Motel 6's have. Friendly check in staff. We would stay there again.

This was the most disgusting motel I have ever been to! There was s**t on the wall in the bathroom next to the toilet, there were white stains on the curtains and walls which appeared to be semen. Our room smelled of cigarettes even though I was told we’d have a non smoking room. The hotel itself is in a ghetto and I wouldn’t recommend leaving the property. Would not recommend to anybody. The manager Greg was also extremely rude and arrogant towards me. I've never seen worse customer service!

This is my 24th year at the Reno Air Races, the last 20 years on Stardust. And you have outdone yourselves yet again. The addition of a microwave and refrigerator is a great addition to your motel. The staff were their usual friendly and helpful selves. Will see you again next year. Thanks again.

This motel was excellent and in great shape which you don't always get from a motel of this level. The staff was great. The only problem was that the bed in the first room appeared to be dirty… I was promptly moved to another room. Great job.

Low flow toilet in the room was already clogged when we got there. Manager gave us a plunger to unclog it ourselves. We had to use the plunger every time someone pooped. The toilet turned into a geyser when clogged. Happily, the water spouting out was clean. Wiping the floors we noted they were filthy. Has anyone actually mopped the floors? The shower stall was visibly dirty. This wasn't unexpected as the reviews on this hotel were poor and dirty showers were mentioned in the review. The funk shower stall was interesting, but still managed to get a lot of water on the floor. You're welcome for the thorough mopping job. AC Unit was noisy, however it helped cancel the road noise, so that's actually a plus. The other guests at the pool had a sense of humor similar to ours, which made the stay not so bad. This hotel wasn't our first choice. It won't be our first choice in the future. It made it a lot easier to continue to harbor a negative attitude toward Reno in general.

My two small children and I arrived around 9:30 pm, after driving all day from Salt Lake City. Although I had booked a non-smoking room, the front desk attendant originally told me there were no more NS rooms available. She ended up finding one for us, but the room still smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns in the comforter. Still, I appreciated her kind and helpful attitude, the very clean room, and the functioning (if old) AC unit. My boys were super happy with the TV and channels available.

My experience here reminded me of dealing with a shifty car salesman at a dealership. I didn't have high expectations but even my low standards were not met. First, they lost my reservations and additionally did not send me a confirmation email. When they finally found my reservation by searching by credit card number, the clerk tried to claim I had booked a two-bed room for three people when I was traveling alone and had asked for one bed. Then, the on-site manager himself tried to charge me $150 for a $60 room. It is currently the next morning, and I was about to take a shower when I noticed I had no towels, no shampoo, and no conditioner. If you decide to stay here bring mace for protection, write down your confirmation number, and keep your children as close to you as possible in this less-than-affluent neighborhood.

Sure, its in a more… diverse neighborhood, but the ruffians have done a good job of limiting the dismantling of customer vehicles to the hours of 1am-3am. This may be to appease the crack dealers and the schedules of their "working women", but it seems yo work out.

Room was very nice for a motel 6. The other residents, not so much. Several of the people I saw looked like they lived there. A lot of prostitutes and dealers from the looks of it. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the room was nice and the staff let me park my car full of stuff from a cross country move right in front of the office under the camera. I wouldent have staid otherwise.

Not the easiest location off the freeway, but a quiet location definitely! What can I say that you don't already know about Motel 6? They're always clean and affordable, the staff is pleasant, and you can find ine almost anywhere!

I'm absolutely outraged. My husband is staying at the motel 6 Reno w. I called to talk to him and they refused to transfer my call because I didn't have his room number. This is ridiculous. You can guarantee I'm going to corporate about this. I'm so mad!

I wish I could not give any stars worst place ever the staff is real rude and screwed up my reservations I wanted two beds and the guy told me we would have two beds. Got here checked in and there is only one bed my friend had to find another hotel. That costed him lots of money. I would not even waste yo@ ime. I have never had a problem with motel 6 until today I hope the GM will contact me and resolve this but according to other reviews this a bad place.

Dear Motel 6, Upon calling your location I was very stunned about how rude your male Manager was to me while booking a room. I travel very far from East Bay California Antioch and was hoping to reserve a room but your management seemed upset and quite impatient as though he was rushing me and forcing me to be fast with my words almost like he didnt care to be of any help or service! He told me he wasnt going to book our room or let us know if any rooms were available. I felt as though this guy wasnt proud of the job he has from you and wasnt enjoying his time as an employee as he seemed very bothered the moment he picked up the phone to speak with me. Please inquire about this issue as I dont feel you shouldnt lose a valued customer over an employee who doesnt want to do his job or speak to customers properly. Please and Thank you!

Far fewer amenities than I've come to expect from bargain hotels. You shouldn't expect much but I was still surprised. However, it's still a place to stay, decent bed and much cheaper than the alternatives so I'll say I'm satisfied.

It's a decent motel for the price, and the location is conveniently located to local businesses and the freeway. No amenities, but it's going through an extensive remodel currently and I look forward to seeing the rooms when they're redone.

I would give no stars if I could. Management refused a refund or to move me into a different room. I Sat in filth for five days waiting for a refund, solution or to be moved. I emailed pictures and complaints to guest relations all day everyday to no avail. Finally, I got up the courage to seek out assistance from the extremely offensive/insulting staff who seemed inconvenienced I ask them to perform their normal duties. Its my fault I can't get a refund because I emailed corporate and didn't talk to the manager ZELDA about the problems on the first day. Well I approached her on the 4th because I had no where else to go, they took advantage of a young girl by herself. Checked out early with a promise the general manager might call me. Refused to give the GMs name or number or refund. See the pictures of my room? Why wouldn't they move me or give me a refund so I could o elsewhere? Why did I have to sit in there when they knew in had nowhere else to go? Corporate guest relations said its up to the GM and corporate cannot help me and hung up on me twice! What do I gotta do to get my money back? If the GM is reading this or the owner:WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THE LAST FIVE DAYS? Guest relations will do nothing they said it's up to you and management. I seriously suggest training your staff to ensure customer satisfaction. I would be fired on spot for that behavior or inability to perform my daily tasks!

First off they did not have the reservation I had reserved a week in advance, the front desk lady was very helpful in getting me into a room for an extra $15 than I expected to pay. Both of my neighbors were crack dealing junkies and were extremely loud late at night. Playing music past midnight and constantly going in and out of the rooms. I had to leave my room around 1am because I could not take the noise and I feared one of these junkies my try and knock at my door. Very disappointed.

My wife and I have stayed at motel 6 all up the east and west coast regularly. we love their pet friendly atmosphere but this location, (we both agree) is by far one of the friendliest, cleanest, best locations any where. (aver. $20 cheaper than most motel 6's) thanks to the wonderful staff, for making our unexpected visit an enjoyable one.

The bathroom smelled like piss it got clogged up easily it smelt like cigaret the TV had a bunch of crappy channels the heater sucked over all it was a bad I wish I could get my money back ps I don't know why it says free Wi-Fi when they charge you 3 dollars for the Night.

I have not stayed at a Motel 6 in probably 20 years and will NEVER stay in one again especially this one. Due to our last minute decision to go to Hot August Nights and our desire to not have to drive to Carson City each day we decided to give this place a shot. What a Big Mistake. This place is a drug dealing dive. As I waited in the truck for my buddy to check in, I watched this gal come out of the office pull out a rag from beneath her shirt and unroll a bag of pills, she handed them to a guy right in front of my truck and he handed her a roll of cash. Dealing Drugs right in front of me REALLY lol. So then we go to the room which was stuffed with 2 very hard full size beds at 6'2" my feet hung over the end. There was about 2 feet between the beds which we squished tight between the wall and the AC unit. Every day we had to go to the office to get towels, for some reason the maid didn't see a need to leave any in the room. We also had to keep taking our keys back to get them replace since they didn't work half the time. The only positive thing I can say was we had hot water and a somewhat decent shower. After 5 days I could not wait to get out of this place. Avoid at all cost. MAKE THE DRIVE TO CARSON CITY OR TAHOE, or pay a bit more to stay elsewhere.

The hotel should have a warning that the highway side of the hotel will have traffic noise all night. The employees actually book u in those rooms when the other side is unoccupied. We got in late so traffic was minimum, then at 4am the trucks started rolling. How loud, like if the room did not have a door. The receptionist said oh why didnt u ask for an inside room, at 4am? Whoever wrote its a nice area, must live in the slums, not a great neighborhood.
