Security doors don’t lock. Front desk did not care. No airport shuttle even though advertised to have it. Old dated worn out rooms. Everything is broken in the gym. Pool closed! Worst Hilton ever!

Horrible. First off, as soon as we walk in a faulty electrical faceplate in the floor flips over as my girl is walking over it and a screw tears into her suitcase ripping one of the wheels off. Keep in mind she's holding my 8 month old, she could have fallen very easily. The girl at the counter saw it the whole thing and was on our side, but when I tried to speak to their manager Rudy Ward, he wouldn't even come out of his office to address the issue. Basically relayed through the attendant that there's nothing they could do, and they wouldn't reimburse us if I went a got another suitcase, considering we came in late and were flying out in the morning it was very unprofessional on his part, and fun doesn't stop there. Get to the room, there's blood on the curtains, pubic hair in the tub, some random pair of old shorts hanging in the closet, stained linens. No airport shuttle (which is why we choose the place. ) the list goes on and on. Worst experience of any Hilton ever, but you won't find me back at any location again. Not to mention when my girl tried to call corporate to talk to someone who could do something, after waiting on hold for 45 minutes and talking to two different people they just hung up on her.

This was the most awful stay I and other guests have ever experienced. Where to begin? Upon arrival Thursday at 4:30 we were told that the air conditioning unit was not working in the junior suite with two double beds that we had reservations for. The only room they had available was a tiny double bed room with a pull out couch. This was less than adequate for us due to the fact we had 4 adults and two children under 3.

The outside of the facility is unkept, overgrown and dirty. Inside, the elevators were out of order and carpets were dirty. In our room, the carpet was wet and no room service for 2 days. I had to get my own towels, toilet paper, etc. Nice location but extremely poor management.

Do not use this place. Moved 3 times 1. Upon arrival suite smelled of strong dog urine. 2. Moved to small room with 6 people it was late so we crashed. 3. Moved again carpet coming up ceiling peeling tub clogged. No refresh in 5 days! We booked a zoo package on hilton. Com the hotel nor rewards dept knew what it was couldnt look it up I spent 5 hrs tring to figure out if we could go to the zoo! That I paid for and I was supposed to be enjoying with my family. The front desk women with the short brown and blond hair on top heavy set women rolled her eyes whipped her neck at me saying " well I didnt sell it to you so you need to call hilton" I don't have anything to do with it. Mind you the zoos closed at this point. Finally after I said I work for hotels and you represent them so this needs addressed. No compensation for the small room we got or the zoo fiasco. The grounds were unkept trash overflowing lobby hot ac was out for 5 days! Hallways unvacuumed. No service or offer of towels for first 3 days then we got a bag on the door. Soda spilled on cobblestone walk entering hotel. I'm suprised Hilton was worse than the motel 8 we stayed at. I am a hotel worker at 3 hotels and my site manager and front desk would fire people for these conditions! No excuse pandemic or not take pride. Do your job. Run a vacuum the halls take trash out smile at guests. Would recommend them to anyone and if I could have I would have got a refund and went elsewhere.

Great customer service! The front desk, waitress and the cook were so friendly and the food was great! Highly recommend.
*****Updated review — Their customer service is lacking. We were charged for our 2 rooms on the credit card used to hold the reservation. However, the Treasure Chest Casino comped our 2 rooms. So the hotel was paid twice and trying to get them to issue me a credit for the two rooms is like pulling teeth. 3 phone calls later and I am currently disputing the charges with my credit card company since they claim to know nothing about the comp, however I was in the office with the Host from Treasure Chest when she called them AnD sent over the paperwork. I will not stay here again.

Amazing! the staff was attentive and very friendly. I was there for an event and Javonda was a great help.
She took the time to be sure we had everything we needed… the breakfast was quite tasty.

Great staff nice room only complaint was for $200 breakfast could be free. $12.99 bit much. But love the staff very nice, helpful, friendly and accommodating to me. Greatly appreciated.

Check in was quick and the staff are very nice. Especially Tiffany at reception. She's iconic!

In the morning they had a bunch of muffins sitting out, in a manner to suggest that they were complimentary. Normally when there is a charge for goods, they will either be behind a counter or someone will take your order for them. (it is common for hotels to have complimentary donuts in the morning) So I took one and ate it. The woman then comes over and says "will that be all? $2.18 please. " Seriously? I don't mind paying for a muffin but don't make it look like their free. I don't like the muffin entrapment lol.

This trip was disastrous from beginning to end. I booked a double bed with sofa bed. The total was 328 but when we got there it was 378 plus charged 124 extra. And put us in only double beds which left nowhere for ten year old to sleep. Went to room and it smelled like urine, a towel was laying on floor and I didn’t wanna stay cause it was dirty. Well I went down with a attitude and tried to be nice regardless. Tiffany did try to help and put me in what I originally was supposed to get (after saying all rooms are booked so she couldn’t get me what I paid for). Trip was supposed to come with free breakfast and the next day was charged $56 for my family to eat. I also asked for a refund but couldn’t get one because it would take 5-7 business days she said so I was stuck staying 3 nights because I didn’t have the extra money. No apologies or anything. Won’t stay again.

The staff is wonderful and very friendly! The room is clean and neat! I am enjoying my stay!

Stayed one night with my sons. Very pleasant staff. Hotel decor was soothing. Enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was awesome! The shuttle to the airport was great as well. Definitely staying here next time we’re back in New Orleans!

Hotel was average at best for a Hilton property. Biggest issue was with airport transportation. Called for a ride, told it would be about 15 minutes. Called 30 minutes later, was told it would again be 15 minutes. Shuttle finally arrived, driver did not get out to open the luggage area and waited for us to load luggage from the driver's seat. Finally all passengers on board and she says she has to wait for more passengers. Then stands outside and decides it's a good time to chat on her cell phone. I didn't have high expectations, but this was worse than what I would have imagined. Three stars for hotel, one star (or less) for transportation.

This is my favorite hotel to stay when arriving to or leaving New Orleans. The staff is super friendly, the place rooms are always clean. The only issue was last stay the pool was a little dirty. Otherwise, great place for business travelers.

The staff at this hotel are phenomenal! Very friendly, great customer service, and very helpful with anything that we needed during our stay. They greeted us with a smile no matter how many times we walked through the lobby. The woman that was working the breakfast every AM was very attentive and kind as well! Our room was clean and beds were comfy. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub! We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area! My only complaint was that there were no vending machines so if you wanted to purchase a snack from the lobby store you had to pay triple the price. I bought a Twix bar for like $3.40. That was a little steep and unfair to price a candy bar for that much $ knowing there is no where else for customers to get a snack in the hotel.

I would expect this from a $60 hotel… but $160? The shower curtain would not stay up, the bathroom door would not close, the shower leaked into the entrance, AC barley worked and I reserved a double bed room (2 double beds) but received a king with sleeper sofa… for 4 people (the sleeper sofa was really bad). Now, I am a diamond club member and when I went to complain I was told that there was nothing they could do and I had one of the best rooms. If I had one of the best room, I truly feel sorry for all the other guests. Maybe I have been spoiled by all the Marriott's I have been staying at lately. update… somehow this review was transferred to the wyndham garden lafayette… this was not a review for wyndham garden lafayette, it was a review for the hilton garden inn airport new orleans next to the pontchartrain center. I have never even stayed at a hotel in lafayette, la.

I enjoyed my stay here. I took advantage of the gym which can get hot but don't let that put you off. The breakfast was great along with good service. This is a good place to stay.

Nice friendly staff. The hotel is just badly in need of an upgrade. The lobby and outside areas are great. When you start to turn to the hallway to the rooms. It is just too out dated. The tub even had rust. Its was a clean room at least, but not Hilton standards.

Good location, safe — nice lobby and friendly staff. Room needed rehab though. Gross ceiling, tile, and shower curtain. Light in room was flickering.

First night was okay. Normal 3 star hotel. Third night two groups came in large group of high school kids to the right and left of me and small group of very drunk men screaming down the hall way. From 7pm to 11:30pm there was practically a party on the second floor. I understand that you can't really control who stays at the hotel but when I called the front desk at 10:30pm the girl told me she had already called their rooms and talked to them. I called again at 11pm and the girl at the from desk made it seemed like it was such a hassle to provide alittle bit hospitality and told me to knock on the doors myself to ask them to quiet down because she already "tried" and which I did and nothing came out of it. So I called back up to the front desk and asked to be moved because I still had 2 more nights there and I just didn't want to deal with moving to another hotel. She told me the hotel is booked and said there was nothing she could do and there wasn't a manager currently there and hung up the phone. I called back up there thinking maybe the phone disconnected but she picked up the phone and hung it right back up without saying anything to me. I packed and left that night. Now we are fighting them to get a refund for those nights. It's been a whole week. No apologies we're issued.

We drove for 11 hrs straight to be able to spend a day in the French Quarter before boarding for our cruise ship. We had booked through the front desk for our Friday night for a double queen and sofa bad as we had 6 ppl. The lady upon arrival at the desk was cheerful and helpful but was put into a double queen no sofa bed. When we tried to get this fixed Jeremy (who claimed to be manager in charge) was very rude and interrupted my wife numerous times stating that there was no mistake on there side and it was our fault that there was only one person on the reservation. We tried to explain that there was a mistake but it did not matter as long as we could fix it. He got more rude and inconsiderate with NO empathy what so ever about situation. Being the first time at a Hilton property hoping this is NOT the face or culture of this brand. Not gonna interact with him nor be back to this hotel if he is front facing of the public. Not a good experience.

Very friendly service. Very near the casino with very little wait time for a shuttle. Room was clean and fresh. Good coffee but wish there would have been a continental breakfast.

My family of 6 and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans from Jan 31 — Feb 5. We found the hotel to be clean & comfortable. The breakfast was nice & never to crowded. The hotel is just a short 10 or 15 minute ride from everything (French Quarter, museums, parades, etc). A great place for people who would like to visit New Orleans but would prefer to avoid staying in the rambunctious French Quarter!

Beautiful hotel, reasonable rates for as nice as it was. Breakfast was delicious. We were able to park our vehicle here without additional charges while we were on our cruise instead of paying a daily fee like other places.

This is a great hotel for an overnight stay. The lobby is comfortable and there is a restaurant and bar on site. It also has a pool. The rooms are modern, clean, and quiet. Beds are comfortable. There is also an airport shuttle service.

The staff at this location is excellent. Without them this rating would have been lower. That said, the room was a cut below what I have come to expect from a Hilton Garden Inn property. The ceiling in the bathroom has long term water damage, with peeling paint and rotting dry-wall. There was also a smell in the bathroom I would describe as "stale urine". The duvet was worn and appeared to have a stain. I don't know if the cleaning crew needs more resources, or more training, but something was a little off. All in all, I've stayed in far worse places, but this definitely did not do the brand any justice. I would expect this at a budget motel. Not here.

My Mother & I really enjoyed her stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The front desk guy, Jermaine I believe his name was, Welcome us with such great customer service and sense of humor! There also was an young gentlemen by the name of Brandon who was as sweet as can be! He helped my disable mother onto the van, put our luggage on without any problem, normally at other hotels the driver throw out luggages, but in this case, Brandon was very gentle. He had us laughing the entire time on our way to the hotel & to say he was a new member, I felt he handle everything well! The Food was amazing & Our room was perfect! I give the hotel a 10 out of 10! I would most definitely come back!

Jeremy was rude & insolent when we had to ask to have our keys reactivated on the 3rd night of a 4 night stay. He later made fun of me face to face when I had to return a cold, doughy, nearly raw pizza ordered from room service. The room service staff were great about the problem & took the charge off our room but Jeremy was horrible! The rooms were tolerably clean but not great but since we were in the area to see the city, we were not in the room a lot & that was not a huge problem. We stayed on a B&B rate and found breakfast acceptable. Of course, we were not even offered the “required” parking permit until Jeremy made a big deal of it being required & then we had to ask 3x for it to be given. We will NOT be back here again! & we are loyal HHonors members for over 10 years and nearly always stay at a Hilton hotel!

Love this place. Quiet area. Beautiful rooms. Beautiful lobby. Planet Fitness right next door. Nice breakfast for $6.95 or $12.95 for the buffet.

Nice stay. Good staff. Airport shuttle (24/7) — 15 minute from door-to-door. Apparently hotel located near casino.

Based on our one night/day stay. The kids loved it. It was clean, quiet, and the staff was nice. The decor was also photogenic. Laundry room access was important. Business center with free printing. Microwave and fridge in room.

Good location if you have an early morning flight. Shuttle only runs once an hour, however. Not sure I would have chosen this hotel if I had known that. Great, friendly staff. Usual rooms. No restaurant options nearby.

Good hotel… a bit dated. The location was good for me because I did not want to be downtown. It's close enough to the airport. The staff is friendly and service is good and the bed was comfortable.

I gave it 4 stars because the room and grounds were great. However, this particular hotel visit, we needed a bit more attention than check in and check out. The restaurant staff could have been better with maybe one or two more employees. They were frustrated with people needs and orders. The night time restaurant staff closed 10-15 minutes before posted time. : ( The front desk staff were great and very accommodating. Especially, Cookie and Jeremy. They were the best — both friendly and helpful.

Great value for a Hilton Garden Inn, and a superb location! Right by a very nice park on Lake Pontchartrain, a paddle wheel casino, and 10 minutes from the airport. Close to shopping and many restaurants in the Metairie area.

Being close by the airport is the positive. It's just OK otherwise. The carpet was wet from AC leaking water.

Staff are super friendly. Fairly clean, nice lobby, but dated rooms. Shower was more dingy than average. Very thin walls and ceilings — — we were treated to two folks really getting to know eachother in the morning while we were preparing to leave. No free breakfast. Overall, not particularly good value, should have stayed at a Hampton.

Nightmare in Metairie! I'll start by saying that the front desk clerks were very helpful, honest, and profesional when dealing with the issues we had. They should receive 5 stars, but the hotel itself should have a complete remodel as well as new cleaning staff and maintenance crew. It did not represent the Hilton name in anyway. We arrived to quickly drop off our luggage before meeting with friends. Our key wouldn't work and maintenance could not be found. When we finally got into our room, we were assaulted with a heavy odor of air freshener. But the room at first glance looked clean, so we hurried on our way. We returned late only to discover that the heavy air freshener smell had faded away and left behind a "perfumed urine" odor, the shower ceiling above the bathtub had sprung a leak and turning down the sheets revealed blood stains. The desk clerk was helpful in finding us a different room. It was better, but still not up to Hilton standards. The hallway and room floors were uneven with boards that made you feel like you were going to fall to the floor below, the air conditioner was loud and making groaning noises, the shower adjustment lever was broken so you had a choice of scalding hot or freezing cold. We decided at this point it was so late that we needed to try to sleep, but that we were checking out the next morning and finding another property for the rest of our stay.

Location is right next to the Pontchartrain lake and civic center, in Kenner. Wonderful location and amazing rooms. It's a $30 uber from Bourbon street.

Other than the dirty sheets which were originally provided for the pull-out sofa bed, the rest of the room was cleaned and well-maintained. Extra towels and clean sheets were provided after we called the front desk to let them know that we needed more towels and that the sheets for the sofa bed were dirty. The lobby restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating of our late dinner orders.

Flying out of New Orleans & have a car-then stay here! We drove to this hotel the day before we were to catch a 10:49 flight out of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Living 3 hours away we didn't want to take a chance driving over in the morning. It's called the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Airport, but it's about 5 miles from the Airport. Not really a problem as they have shuttles to and from the airport. We were able to get a flight almost $450 cheaper than our local airport, so it was worth driving to the hotel and staying a night. Check in was efficient and quick. As a Gold Hilton Honors member we received a breakfast coupon for 2 and pointed in the direction of our room. It was July 4th and the Essence Festival was going on that weekend and many of the rooms in New Orleans were filled. So it was the fact that this hotel had a room that we stayed here. It was the best decision we could have made as I will illustrate later. The room was up to the normal Hilton hotel standards, clean, comfortable with free Wi-Fi. It was ice-cream week or something so we got a free sundae. I did visit the Fitness center to burn off the sundae and it was well maintained with a few treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, mats and physio balls everything you need to get in a decent workout. They have the usual pool, but we didn't take advantage of that.

Hotel was great but beware of the restaurant. We paid $8.00 each for what was supposed to be Large orders of Gumbo. Turned out it was about a Cup of Gumbo. When I said something about it, the guy said "the small is even smaller". Total rip off!

Had a few issues with the room where the drawers droors to the dresser would slide out on their own. That really gets the knee in the dark. The lights flickered a few times and the ac ended up not working after. When all of this was reprted the employeeswere nice but barely even said sorry. Not looking for a comped room but at least say we will get it fixed or something. Thays why we reported it!

This Hilton Garden Inn is in a fairly out-of-the-way part of New Orleans. There are some interesting places to eat in reasonable walking distance — try The Big Cheezy! There's also a restaurant on site, which we didn't try. If you are looking for a three-plus-star hotel in the middle of all the Big Easy has to offer, this probably isn't your place. But if you have business in New Orleans and want clean, reasonable accommodations with free parking (and some nearby dining, shopping, and casino options for your down time), give this one a try.

My hotel stay was booked with Rewards points! Everything was okay until the following morning we went to have breakfast. Everything was set up as though it was complimentary, but we later found out that there was a charge. Now as a DIAMOND member, (the highest level you can go), there is no reason I should have had to pay. Every other hotel offers complimentary because of status. Fast forward, I also requested late check out, which again is supposed to be a perk for members, and was told NO. At check out, I was held up for at least 30 minutes because there was a CHARGE on the bill that the front desk attendant could not EXPLAIN. I was expected to pay along with using points! I also asked for a room with a pretty view and was stuck looking at the back of a building. I've never had an experience like this and I will NOT book at this hotel again!

The hotel is like every other HGI, but the staff are phenomenal.

My family of four drove from Texas to New Orleans as a first stop on our way to the East Coast. We booked on Expedia and due to some inaccuracies on the Expedia website, ended up not staying at the hotel we originally booked for two nights. Upon our arrival at the Hilton Garden Inn, the front desk staff, Ms. Charlene and Ms. Crystal, were super helpful and accommodating to me and my tired family. They truly went above and beyond in ensuring that we not only had a room for the next two nights but also making sure we were able to clear up the situation with Expedia. In the morning, Ms. Pat was so friendly and helpful in the breakfast room, it felt like we were part of the Hilton Garden Inn family. I truly appreciate all of the staff that made sure we were well taken care of 13-15 June. The first part of our trip certainly could have ended up a disaster if we didn't end up walking in to the Hilton Garden Inn that night.

" At the end of my stay I got a bill for $15 for internet service. Again, I don't mind paying for things, but I don't like the entrapment/deception. * It just generally wasn't that great of a hotel. It was fine, but I thought Hiltons were supposed to be nice. The place was pretty mediocre.

Clean. Quiet. Great hotel experience.

Great staff. Gifted cooks despite limited menu. Clean rooms. Only detractor for this location is its proximity to the Treasure Chest casino. As a consequence, some of the clientele are noisier than your typical business traveler, who are more suited to this property, adjoining the Pontchartrain Convention Center and near the airport.

Hotel from the outside and first glance at the room would look almost well kept. inside the room found that someone spit out their chew behind the night stand. reported in to the front desk never cleaned it up, so what can you say. you have to pay for any meals and as a Diamond member, never had to do this. For $13.00 I was not impressed with the breakfast.

Rooms were clean but beds hard. Room was alittle stuffy all left with sinus problems. Pool was dirty but they let us swim after 10. Breakfast was too costly and confusing. Would stay again if I had too but would seek other options first.
