I checked into the Doubletree on Thursday and almost immediately had the check out due to an emergency at home. My girlfriends dog got attacked by two other dogs and the dog sitter was also attacked by these dogs. We get this news as we were sitting at the bar ordering food and my girlfriend broke down in tears as expected. First experience was Suzan the bartender ask him if she was OK what we can do to help. Luckily the dog was OK needed stitches but we were able to stay! That night keith the front desk manager started asking if everything was OK and checking to make sure if we needed anything also Kindra and Lorena every time they saw us asked her how the dog was and if everything was OK and it really surprising being so busy they would remember and stop to make sure she was ok and check on her dog. Great staff working here those were only a few I named! Rico and the shuttle drivers also amazing! Great place great location access to everything.

Stay far away! The noise from the airplanes is one disturbance but the constant banging from construction is awful! I will not recommend this location for anyone. I asked to be moved to a location with little less noise but was told there were not any other rooms available. It sounds as if someone is coming through the ceiling. I wish there was a way for me to upload the audio I have from the banging… Do not book here, at least not while hotel is under construction!

Rooms were clean, bed were comfortable, but the TV didn't work. A technician was sent promptly and reflashed the firmware which resolved the issue. They also provided a crib for us quickly when requested.

I love the location and friendly of the staff. Omg they give a warm cookie thats to die for. I stay here every week for work. I also loved the gravy for breakfast and the swimming pool.

Decent value. The location and shuttle were convenient if you have an early flight. The rooms were dated and definitely need to be renovated, free cookies doesn't change that.

I think the Double Tree has much more potential than the experience I was actually afforded. Pros: comfy beds, spacious rooms and decent meals available. The free shuttle service from the airport is a big plus also. Cons: I was given a room on check-in which had not been cleaned. On returning to reception I was allotted another room. To my surprise when I went in, there was someone taking a shower. For the second time I was given the wrong room. I had to go back to reception once more. I finally got my room on the third try. Having traveled from the other side of the globe for almost a full day it wasn't the kind of reception I expected. All said, if the Double Tree fixes the bug in their system, I'm sure a stay would be pleasant.

Good spot to stay if you want to be close to the airport. There is a shuttle that runs 24 hours to and from the airport you just need to call the hotel when you land to get a ride. Rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Pool looks nice although I've never had the chance to swim in it. There is a small restaurant/bar in the lobby which is convenient. Overall always enjoy staying here when I travel for work.

Hotel is ok and the pool is great. U-shaped and big enough for exercise and fun. Hat a finicky, hard to operate switch on my bedside lamp, reported to reception, but not fixed when I came back in the evening.

Great rooms. Building and rooms feel a bit old but otherwise amenities were fine. Bed was confirmed also convenient location to highway and also airport.

I needed a hotel at the last minute because of a change to my flight out of MSY. This place worked great for a quick one night stay. It's an older hotel and in some areas it's showing its age, but for my needs, no complaints. Close to the airport, so don't stay here if you want to walk to the French Quarter. There are some fast food options within walking distance, and the hotel also offers room service.

In a busy part of town, directly across from the airport. Front parking is sort of small but decent for initial check-in. Ana, the manager, is a gem. She's very polite and is customer service focused. There are some good restaurants in walkable distance. They recycle and practice sustainable cleaning. You get a warm chocolate chip (and walnut, so avoid if you have nut allergies) cookie upon check-in. A full breakfast buffet is available but it's about $16 per person if you don't have vouchers. There's a pool and tiki bar but it was too cool to use during our stay. I'd recommend, especially if you have a coupon.

Everything was fine. Check-in went smoothly. Room was clean and stocked with toiletries. No problems. Parking is 10 dollars a night.

This is a good place and friendly staff at the front desk at least when I went. The place is well located and just under 10 minutes from the MSY airport. I would go here again anytime. I stayed for 1 night and not sure how the experience would be for a few more nights. I recommend this for people who are traveling for business. My rating is positive but if the rooms were bigger, I would rate them 5 star!

I was staying there for business Feb 6-9, 2018. When I first arrived the front desk staff was great, got me checked into my room, in which the AC didn't work in the bedroom (I was in a suite), they sent a very nice gentleman to fix it. While the AC was being fixed, I went downstairs to get a bite to eat in the restaurant, was seated very quickly. At a dirty table. After 3-4 other guests arrived and I still hadn't been given a menu, asked if I would like a drink, or even checked on. After waiting for 20 minutes, I got up and as I walked by the hostess, I told her thanks but no thanks because of the lack of service. I walked down to a restaurant just down the street. The next morning as I was waiting on my clients, I over heard the front desk person and the driver talking about another guest, wasn't very nice or professional to say the least. That evening I ate in the bar and had the red beans and rice. The rice was hard as a rock, the red beans and sauce were over salted, the saving grace was the sausage, some of the best I had eaten. The next morning I had been given 2 King cakes, we ate 3/4 of one and while we were at lunch the room was cleaned and it walked off, the unopened one was still there. Oh, they only had 1 elevator working for most of the stay. Hilton is my hotel of choice, but I will never stay at this Double Tree again.

I stay here every time I come to NOLA now. Nice place. Great variety of stores and restraunt near by. And good room service. Front desk lady could be nicer. But they are friendly.

Hotel close to New Orleans Airport with very nice rooms. The staff is friendly and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms definitely need renovation and the water pressure leaves a lot to be desired. The air conditioning units are a bit old and can be a bit drafty around the unit but they work well so you can get the room freezing or hot quickly. Good hotel if you need some place close by the airport that provides a free shuttle. The Wi-Fi is most definitely slow.

Usually Double Tree is a slightly better better than average hotel but rhis one misses the mark. It was OK but not as nice as you typically expect from Double Tree. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the Red Beans and Rice was better than I expected. Overall not bad, but just not quite what I expect from the brand.

Shuttle leaves every 30 minutes to the airport so it worked out perfect. Room was nice and clean. I will stay here every time I go to NO. Was here on business.

Hotel has nice rooms, is conveniently located next to the airport, and has a helpful daytime reception staff. However, it's right under the departure corridor for the airport for northbound flights, so noise could be an issue for some. My biggest complaint is the relative unhelpfulness of the late night reception staff. I had some food that I wanted to keep cold during my stay, but my room did not have a mini fridge, and none were available late at night which is what I expected to hear, but they did offer to let me store it in the staff fridge. When I came down to do so, the lady working the front desk was very apathetic at first, but helped me out by putting my food in a bag marked with my room number and checkout time for safe storage. She them picked up the phone while we were still conducting or exchange, which was frankly a bit rude. However, when I checked out the afternoon of the next day, I went to retrieve my food from the front desk. It was not in the fridge behind the desk, nor was it in the other fridge in the hotel where it may have been. So at some point, it appears that my Food mysteriously "disappeared. " This was extremely disappointing.

We needed to book a large group of rooms/event with short notice. The sales team worked very fast to get us everything we needed and more. When one person was not available their coworker/teammate was able to step in and help, working with Becky, Robin and Kijuana is GREAT. They can handle everything and make your stay and event top notch at this hotel.

Not a bad hotel. Definitely not a high end or fancy place. Simple rooms, with basic bathrooms and beds. Nothing special.

The fourth air I'm inhabiting is very nice.

The restaurant is pretty nice and they have gated parking. Rooms are decent size. And little run down but not a bad place for being right off the airport. Super quick to get into the highway and get to wherever you need to go.

First time staying at this hotel. Staff was very friendly. Room was nice. Bed was good. Other than the 2:30am wake up call (for work) it was a nice stay.

Stay here 8-10 times per year and it's always been a great stay. Nice rooms and good food located close to the airport with plenty of places to go within walking distance. Gym is kind of small but there is a nice pool.

Really nice hotel close to the airport and on the outskirts of NOLA. Clean, spacious and up to date rooms for a really affordable price. Ten dollar parking is a good price too but there's a few self parking spots as well. Nice pool area and good breakfast and room service menu. We'll definitely be staying here when we want to be in NOLA bit not in the French Quarter.

The front desk associate who checked us in didn't know about the free breakfast associated with the gold membership. That's not a big deal. Some things you just don't know until the situation presents itself. I get it. That being said, this isn't that case. It was a basic thing that she was supposed to know. On top of that she seemed like she didn't want to seek the answer. If you don't know then fine, but you're in customer service. At put on the guest facing face (fake ass face like you want to help) and seek the solution.

Hotel was pleasant and accommodating. The staff was welcoming and attending to all questions and requests. They are in a close proximity to the airport and provide shuttle service that is convenient when attending events here. This is my second time staying at this location and we have enjoyed this time the most.

My stay at the MSY DoubleTree was OUTSTANDING! When I checked in, the front desk staff was very friendly (and, of course, gave me The Cookie). My room was huge; it was one of the largest hotel rooms I've stayed in. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was wonderful; the food was fresh and the servers in the dining room were exceptionally friendly. Can't wait to go back!

The rooms are nice not spacious enough but there was a possum by the pool! It was a very scary event for me am my kids! & staff took forever to come an check on us all they said its nothing they can do about it & if we are scared we need to go! One gaurd came an said what do you want me to do catch it! That was very RUDE! This is my last time coming here!

Its a hotel used largely to house oil field folks. They have free cookies. The rooms are reasonably clean. The bartender is a nice guy. Food is OK.

We had a great stay! The room was amazing. The bed was super comfy. Great staff. Perfect stay.

Not as nice as other Doubletree's. Makes me want to rethink my choice of business travel hotels. Too much variance in quality within the Hilton chain.

Everything at this hotel is nice except the food prices. Way overcharging for what you get. Other than that this is a great place to stay.

I was there for an event the staff is very nice the event room was very clean. Base Service test with coffee and water throughout the event. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Location was close to the airport. Room was clean and nice. Service was very good and friendly. Wi-Fi was decent.

The only thing I liked at this hotel was the cookie they gave me. The air conditioner made so much noise that I felt like I slept though the night with the washer running in the background. The shower did not work either.

Rooms are nice, beds are very comfortable. I ate at the restaurant as well, pretty decent Cajun/bar food.

Just great. Very friendly and inviting. The room was clean and perfect. Jessica at the front desk is the sweetest! She even gave us warm cookies just for checking in.

I was there for a meeting in one of the conference rooms and the staff seemed to be very welcoming and helpful.

For the price of the hotel, breakfast was $16+. Parking was additional $8 per night. I accidentally left my do not distrib sign on the door, so my room was not cleaned. I returned to the room after 6 pm. You would think that the staff would have checked back with me. So judge by the facts above if you would stay here.

My friend and I truly enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The staff was very welcoming. Especially Ms. Lateashia and Alex (Dining Area) … they were excellent service! We loved our room as well… had an issue with noisy neighbors, but the staff reacted fast and took care of everything :). Would definitely stay there again.

I woke up with a cockroach in my bed. That was enough to make me never come back.

I visited this hotel July 4, 2015 weekend for the Essence Festival and it was worth the price. Towel rack was falling down but the overall stay was nice. Friendly workers at the front desk and rooms were cleaned daily. Would stay again! Baker 2015

Can you believe at the rate that they charge that they actually make you pay for parking? That like freaking suck.

BEWARE! The hotel doesn't disclose that they charge $6 daily for parking through reservations, nor do they disclose that information during check-in. Once the reservation is booked and you have checked in, there's really nothing that you can do about it at that point. I think that information should be disclosed so that the guest can make other arrangements or chose another hotel that doesn't charge for parking. I think this is a very sneaky way of profiting and can be detrimental to customer loyalty. The room was nice and clean, so I tipped the housekeeper, but I was very disappointed with the parking charges.

Would NEVER stay here again — I should have known something was up by the dishonest employees. I had to cancel one night so the girl told me I would have to either pay more for my room, $30+ a night or give up my double rewards — I was paying more to begin with for a room with double Hilton rewards! She said I was getting a discount on the room due to the extra night BULL it NEVER said that anywhere when I booked it! When I called back, got a different employee — she confirmed that was not true — The bathroom was so small, when you sit on the toilet — your arm gets dug by the sink. Not at all like any Hilton owned property I've been in except the smell of toxic "cleaner" in the room? And if you complain, you get told — "It seems like this hotel isn't working out for you" They know they have you after A long drive — too tired to hunt for another hotel. They say the "paid" parking is gated — ah. No — only yo keep the customer from parking there without paying. Anyone can walk in there and break in your car. It is NOT a safe area — two men tried to pick up my teenage granddaughter's 16 and 15 — actually followed them — it was very scary to them. WORST value for my money.

Staff was great. I didn't feel unsafe as some other reviews stated. Kenner Police were parked there or driving through every time we walked out. Hotel is run down. Room smelled overwhelmingly like mildew. The water was only luke warm and water pressure was very low. One of the pillow cases had a large yellow stain (or wasn't washed) Ceiling is stained. Walls are stained and damaged. Towel rack is falling off the wall. TV is too low (on dresser) if your spouse is laying next to you don't expect to watch tv. The place needs a complete overhaul. It's just not up to par. It's the type of room I would expect to pay $50 a night. We stayed here Nov. 12-14, 2014 on business. Housekeeping didn't come until 4pm. Which we declined as we were already in bed. We had to leave at 2am to travel. We normally stay at the Crowne Plaza just around the corner. I recommend Crown Plaza.

I've spent two, four night trips here so far. It seems to be in a good location and conveniently located near the airport. The location is also close to a grocery store I prefer (Wholefoods). I also like to run outside and there are 2 running parks nearby, along with 2 close Anytime Fitness locations (my road warrior gym of choice). I'm happy with the staff, they are polite — sometime inattentive at night — more into their gossip than the guests. The rooms were ok, haven't been upgraded yet — surprising for a Diamond member. Their breakfast is located at the back of the hotel near the exit to the parking lot. I just ask for a box and grab it to go. Please that this isn't an issue for the staff. The pool is also back this way and looks inviting — I have yet to indulge.

This hotel is okay. Staff is pretty nice. There's a mini fridge and microwave in the room. That part is nice. My least favorite part is the bar/restaurant. Each time I've been (more than five, at least) there's only one bartender on staff. Poor guy is running back and forth from the kitchen back to the bar all night. I would definitely say service suffers because of this. BUT, that part aside, the food is gross. I've never had anything I've actually finished. Actually sent the red beans and rice back. They were inedible. And that's sad being in New Orleans.
