Stayed for our anniversary. We had the top floor of the Nestle Inn. 3br, 1-1/2 bath, great shower pressure and hot water. Great Wi-Fi and a/c. If coming in winter there is a fireplace also — gas maybe? The master bedroom had an amazingly comfortable king bed and nice sitting area. It was 2 blocks to the west of the main road so we avoided a lot of noise and had a peaceful night. We weren’t able to get moving on time for breakfast (8-9:30 served at the main office), so we caught breakfast elsewhere, but I would work harder to take advantage of the free breakfast in the future. The rooms were clean and tidy. One of the 4 rooms was made for dining with a table for 4, a small fridge and coffee maker. They also provide some board games and cards in the dining room. The coffee I made, after realizing breakfast would be missed, was wonderful. We really felt like we had been welcomed into a happy home. We even have the same philosophy regarding the refilling/reusing of shampoo and conditioner containers. I didn’t notice if there was any soap provided for bathing as I brought my own. We appreciate Jessica, Donna, Frank, and Debbie for making our stay so great. Thank you!

Enjoyed a two night stay in East Suite for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and fun to eat with fellow guests. Had a bottle of wine in the firepit area and roasted some yummy marshmallows that were provided. Staff was great! Love Hermann!

I will admit, when my parents decided to make a stop in Hermann, MO for a night's rest on our road trip home from a wedding in Chicago (They have had a couple of weekend wine trips there and will not stop talking about it) … being a city girl, I was skeptical… And then they gave me the task to find a place to stay. Every B&B and hotel was either booked or over priced, and then I found the last two available rooms in town at Harbor Haus. When we showed up to check in, Debbie at the front desk offered us the 3rd floor suite at no extra charge, and I'm so glad she did! We pretty much had our own apartment on the top floor of a mid 1800s building, and the heart and soul of Hermann coursed through that space. It was so eclectic and awesome… and so clean and comfortable! Debbie invited us to come sit by the fire outside after we grabbed some dinner, because there would be marshmallows to roast (my daughter was super excited about that) and even called me to make sure our room wasn't too hot! Once we got back to the Inn, we sat around the fire and chatted with some of the guests and had a great time. The bed was so comfortable and I have to admit, that was one of the best sleeps I've had on the road! (I'm a flight attendant and that says a lot! ) … and breakfast was included! At breakfast, we got to meet Frank, the owner, and I really enjoyed hearing my dad and Frank share their stories of their parent's immigration to the US from Germany.

Outstanding staff and decor. Our room was a wonderful stay. Not at all updated, just perfect. Great night sleep! The little window AC worked fine even at 98 °. Frank and Ava absolutely made breakfast like you are at home. There are so many places to stay in Hermann, but this is where we will return.

Great location off the Katy Trail. Rooms are simple, old small box TV's, and no frills but bed was good. Staff friendly. Outdoor area had lots of tables and fire pit. Pit. Downer was breakfast was at 8. Bikers like to get going early to beat the heat.

The staff at Harbor Haus were super helpful and friendly. We'd been to Hermann before, but didn't go through them. They we're more than willing to assist. They had breakfast for us each morning, and even brought a grill to the house so we could grill for the evening. It was a great experience.

Riverside house was wonderful for our group of five. Three bedrooms with king beds and two full baths. The house backs up to the river. It's a wonderful view and a wonderful house. Would stay with these guys again.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are outdated but very comfortable and well kept. It is located in a great spot and just steps away from everything. We will definitely stay here again. Breakfast is the only negative we really have. It was delicious but it was the same thing every morning and we would have liked a variety.

Great location right in the heart of Hermann. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided amazing service. The breakfast turned out to be really good and the coffee was delicious. The bed was a bit hard and the Wi-Fi didn't work very well, but for the price paid we couldn't be happier.

My go to hotel in this area staff is very frendly and the decor is very charming. Rooms are also reasonably priced and they even offer condos. I loved the christmas tree in our room and the breakfast was delicious. However our TV had a lot of scrambled channels, our Wi-Fi coverage was a little spotty, the pillows were stiff and lumpy and you have to be awake before 9 am to get breakfast. They also have a fire pit during the summer and it is a short distance from most downtown attractions.

This is our second time staying at Harbor Haus Inn. It's a cozy little place that's close to all the local restaurants, wineries and bars. The employees are so nice and breakfast there is so good! Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Hermann.

Like stepping back in time. Very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Refrigerator in the room, though no telephone and the tv's are serious old school.

Great place. Historic. Loved the room. Everyone very friendly. Room very clean. Highly recommended for a weekend get away. Within walking distance to everything.

A place not to stay. At 180 a night it was "cheap". The towels, wash cloths, bedding were all hodge-podged, like they were purchased from a thrift store. When they cleaned the room they only took out the trash and emptied the coffee filter, but didn't wipe down any counter tops, and I didn't have any paper towels to clean. No fresh towels or wash cloths for the next day either. Breakfast was a pathetic buffet. Syrofoam cups and plates, generic Always Save apple butter (I asked). Margarine. The buffet consisted of overcooked, baked in the oven, poached eggs, sausage, bread for toast, stale cream horns cut into thirds, coffee and juice. The owner had many buildings and a hotel, so it's not his only rental. He is just CHEAP and that's how the stay felt at a high dollar price.

We really enjoyed our night here. The location in Hermann is perfect, the rooms were very clean and peaceful, and we woke up feeling refreshed after a long day. Frank is friendly and helpful, and we hope to come back.

We loved our stay. The room we stayed in and the office where breakfast was served were so cozy and made you feel at home. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We were warned when we booked about the stairs going up to our room being small and steep so that was upfront but they were not joking. The stairs going up to room 19 were very steep, more than what was expected. The room itself we enjoyed though, it had a covered private balcony that overlooked market street, which was a nice suprise and we enjoyed it. The location was also great. We would stay again when we go back to Hermann.

Awesome location! Room was clean and the staff was super friendly. The room needs some upgrades. The television was a 13 inch box tv. No thermostat. The light outside the door doesn't shut off at night. The bed wasnt very comfortable but there were lots of pillows. Breakfast was simple but very good.

Well I am in one of your rooms as I type this. I wish I could rate without giving a single star! Worst hotel experience I've ever had… it's 4am & am seriously considering sleeping in the car. •checked in before a wedding to drop off overnight bags & change. I'm absolutely certain the door was locked & pulled shut when I left. When we returned tonight our door was not only unlocked it was opened a little more than an inch. Nothing missing but it made me feel so uncomfortable. •BUGS! A horse fly that I gave up on chasing is now locked in the bathroom. 2 normal flies are buzzing around our room •VERY STRONG mildew & mold smell •bed rock hard •10inch probably 20+yr old TV with maybe 15 channels •walls are paperthin you hear everything from the rooms around you •towels provided are stained & smell. I use nicer towels as rags to clean with.

First timer at Octoberfest and stayed at the Mueller house which was very clean and setup nicely the location is great to easily access all the shops and wineries I cannot say enough good things about frank (the owner) great guy that doesn't have a problem with setting down and visiting with you highly recommend this place for a great peaceful stay in Hermann.

I got a "special" 2 room suite for $165 which was 2 bedrooms on the same floor. Wifi didn't work, body wash in shower was diluted, AC above bed leaked water, tube TV was from 1960. The highlight was the 2x I woke up with bugs on me.

Stayed in the Mueller Haus. Great accommodations for our large group!

Harbor Haus is one of the better values in a simple B&B. We stayed in a standard room. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was quite firm, but still comfortable, and the four pillows were varied from soft to firm. There is a mini fridge, 13 inch TV, and a small fan. The room is cooled by a window A/C unit, and heated with a baseboard heater. The breakfast is basic with eggs (baked in a cup), sausage, pastries, and coffee. The coffee was quite good. If you want breakfast, make sure you get there between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, as it is only one hour (1-1/2 hours on the weekend). Certainly nothing fancy, but if you want a reasonably priced room with a good breakfast, this is a good choice.

My mom and I stayed at Harbor Haus for a Mother/Daughter weekend. The staff was absolutely amazing and the rooms were super clean. This B&B doesn't offer a huge breakfast, and I'm sure that's what helps keep the cost down, but it was delicious none the less. There is a bakery, chocolate shop and candy place within walking distance as well as several restaurants. Harbor Haus offers a lot of antique charm, like going to visit your great grandma's house! There is free Wi-Fi, and general TV channels, but the TVs are old school style. We weren't in Hermann to hang out in our room and watch TV, so it didn't bother us. My mom and I highly recommend Harbor Haus.

At first I didn't mind the overpricing since I thought we were getting a suite, until we checked in and our suite was actually a bedroom in an attic. The bathroom didn't have a door on it, there were stains all over the walls, past visitor shampoo left in the shower, and an over all gross feeling. The staff was incredibly rude — I love herman and there are a lot of Places I'll stay again — but never here.

I thought for the price it was great! Our room even had a little mini fridge which was great for chilling our wine. The woman at the front desk was really nice. Room was small but very clean. I can see were people would think it's out dated but. It's a bed and breakfast in a historic town. I found it cute and charming :).

This place is a dump!. Our room was very dated and the bathroom was filthy. They do have good water pressure. The people are very nice but the breakfast was lacking.
