Absolutely awful. Please go the extra mile and get a different hotel. Saw roaches and ants. Shady people and rude staff, even cursed in front of us. Very unprofessional. I’m not even sure how it passes a health inspection. Only 2 lights work in our room, 2 outlets too, we had to buy a power strip. They had to bring a microwave into our room because their wasn’t one already. The shower makes an awful jackhammer like sound when you turn it on. It’s gross in general. The only decent thing here is the pool.

Severely dated in need of rehabilitation and maintenance. Overall filthy rooms and common areas. Garbage in planters and on floors, poision/corrosive chemicals in containers accessible to the public (including children) just sitting on the floor in walkways. This hotel is severely dilapidated and just ran down. Dead spiders in bathtub and sink. Housekeeping is severely lacking here. Honestly, building should be considered uninhabitable for public use by any health department standards. This hotel does have a restaurant but it is closed down due to the restaurant contractor not renewing their contract and moving his/her business to a different locality, per front desk employee (I can only imagine why! )

Outside rooms gross inside room have been remodeled found roach in room Wi-Fi barely works tv's are old picture quality horrible pool never opened breakfast plain donuts toast and cereal. Looks like they are trying to improve the place. New a. C. Units being installed to many employees can't speak English just tell you ok when you. Ask about something.

This is a 3.5 star rating. During a weekend stay I saw no bugs living or dead. The rooms are only $60 not $260, so keep that in mind. The rooms are being renovated and with 300+ rooms it'll take awhile. My room was done except for the carpet… Tile in bathroom new shower n all. Being a bit of an entrepreneur myself, I like to support entrepreneurs like whoever bought this place… It is a huge job in progress. The one non working elevator has new control boxes on each floor, so it's coming. If it we're a Rich or corporate whoever as owner remodeling would be done and the rooms $200+. I'm guessing many complaints that are recent are from renting non-refurbed rooms when busy. IT'S a $60 ROOM! If you make over $200k a year, go pay an extra $200 somewhere else. I saw this "unsavory" looking guy trying a door this morning. I recognized him as a guy doing maintenance work yesterday! :) No kidding. Long hair guy and maintenance isn't the cleanest job, + no uniform — there ya go — working on rooms. It's safe here. The kids are quiet after the pool closes at 10pm. I'd say get here early n get a good room — I did.

Please do not stay here. This hotel is disgusting and roach infested. It’s dusty, the walls, bed and floors are dirty. This was horrible I could not stay long at all! You can barely breathe, the air is so humid… they need to close this place down.

The horrors of this stay give me the Heebie-Jeebies just thinking about it. I specifically asked for an accessible room. I have difficulty walking. Only problem. The elevator close to the front desk didn't work. Once we schlepped all of our stuff through a large, dark open area that looked like it was a closed-down resort from the 70s, we got to our room. I set my cup down on the air conditioner by the window, & roaches scurried! I walked into the bathroom area & there were bugs crawling in the sink. I looked in the tub… bugs. The room looked like a crime scene. Stained pillowcase, dirty ice bucket! I was disgusted. I schlepped my stuff back to the front desk and told them the room was totally unacceptable & I'd rather sleep in my car! They assured me they had a better room. I was skeptical. We were shown the room, & there were no bugs, but I'd already been traumatized. You could tell someone had previously smoked in the room. And the pool!? It was only open from 6pm to 10pm and we arrived about midnight! So no swimming for us! If all the area hotels hadn't been booked due to the Solar Eclipse of the Century — we would've gone somewhere else in a flash!

The manager Brandon gave me an updated room, WOW omg the room was so nice on the 3rd floor. Flat screen t. V updated furniture, etc. I see a whole lot of good changes coming to the hotel over time. Thanks Brandon! Me and my wife enjoyed and we will be back this summer.

I enjoyed my stay at the Lodge. The new owners and the new Manager Brandon have been making a whole lot of changes. Nice updated rooms, clean pool and spa. I enjoyed the jazz in the lobby as well. Mr. Brandon said give him a few more weeks to continue making updates. I will be back! Thank you Mr. Brandon for your professionalism and hospitality. My room was great, flat screen television, new carpet, etc!

So if you have to stay somewhere, sleep in your car. The staff was cold and didn't seem to care. The room which after taxes was $42.15 for a smoking King size. (I am a non smoker) that price seemed decent. The room was filthy, the stench was so overwhelming that it caused me to have an asthma attack. The room has a rock hard gummy worm stuck to the floor by the bed the carpets were stained so bad I could see the stains with all the lights in the room off. The remote didn't seem to work without needing to be reprogrammed. There was a used tampon in the bathroom. The wall in the bathroom looked unstable. There wasn't even tissues in the bathrooms vanity area, the mirror was crooked and resting on the counter top. I did get to wake up to a security cockroach, I named him bill. He seemed unmoved by my invasion into his room, the GFI faceplate was cracked in half, and looked to have scorched sockets. For a King size bed they only had two very worn out pillows. Oh and they didn't have any Wi-Fi.

Worst place I've ever been. Honestly find anything else. Cuz this place is a waste of money. The security guard has a nasty attitude and hides behind his badge. He's a rent a cop. The clerk is uneducated, and doesn't help the hell whole he works at. Don't go.

This is an old run down Holidome. Most of the rooms are unable to be used by order of the Health Dept. Roaches are everyehrere. The atrium with the pool is. So cold ice would freeze on the inside. Owners are trying but with staff attitude and the sheer amount of work in my opinion the project is failing.

The Lodge should be condemned immediately. It is not at all safe for the "guests" that are required to stay there as a last resort for temporary/transitional housing as it is filthy, roach-infested, and perpetually in a state of construction that never seems to keep up with how quickly everything is falling apart. From the barely functional single elevator and crumbling steps to the stained and tattered carpets crawling with roaches, The Lodge is not safe for ANYone. Even the very rude and abrasive staff shouldn't be permitted to work under such conditions, much less any "guests" be made to stay.

Worst experience in a hotel I've ever had. To start with, our room didn't even have a number on the door. The lights in the main room didn't work nor did the tv. The walls were covered in stains and there was mildew on the walls in the bathroom. We were scared to even sleep in the bed but every other hotel was booked so we had no choice. My friend and I are younger women and when we went down to the lobby to ask for extra towels and toilet paper we were harassed by two men staying there and followed up several flights of stairs. We only spent about 7 hours there but it was still the worst experience.

The rooms were big enough, but the sink had burn marks and the pluming didn't work well. There wasn't a garbage can in the room. The pool and hot tub was nice.

The staff was very accommodating. They get the the 3 stars. However, I'm covered in bedbug bite's, 1st floor room had roaches on the walls, & in the beds. Room 306 was good. Then went back, I had room 308, That room has bedbugs. Some shady characters walking around trying doors, cause they know security guards are sleeping. Not a bad place to stay if you're looking for something affordable. Check your room before you commit to it. The hotel needs a renovation.

DONT RENT HERE! this place is FILTHY. I played $80 to have a room that was Falling apart. The first room we got moved from was filthy with dirt and was nasty. The refrigerator was about 80° plus. And had a horrible smell. The shower was filled with a solid coat of dirt I wiped away and showed Linda the "manager" on duty. But her manager said she can change rooms for us. The room we got was worse. It had 3 days spoiled milk and broken amenities. Then after pointing out the issues in the 2nd room she said her manager would be okay refunding the room and us finding another place to stay. This is after I asked for a refund on my price. I would NOT recommend this place if you care about being clean or have children. The management does not care about the customer. Only money.

Staff are rude. Rooms are dirty and they stink. I DO NOT recommend this place.

I am familiar with this hotel, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. Rooms are dirty, the hotel is dirty and the pool is dirty. Many guest staying here seem to be seedy and not the kind you want your family around. What was once a nice hotel has now become a flop house.

Don't even go here as a last resort, better off sleeping in your car. None of the lights worked except for the one for the bathroom area. Multiple mysterious stains on the wall. Stained towels. The a/c felt more like a fan moving air. My girlfriend and her friend walked to the car to get something and were harassed but strangers and followed back to the room. 10/10 sketch.

There is no sanitary paper or disposable tissues and the toilet bowl is dirty.

It was an exterior outside room. The air conditioner barely worked. Had to keep resetting the fuse after it would pop and turn off. No ice bucket or cups. Very few towels. Burnholes in comforter. It was a smoking room, but had no smoking sign on door. No ashtray. Otherwise it was a pretty quiet room for having people in rooms all around you.

So disgusting! I'd rather sleep on a park bench downtown. The entire hotel has a musty smell. The room was completely run down. Burn holes in the comforter. Dirty "white" sheets. Mold in the tub and sink. I actually thought the sink was going to come apart from the wall. I wouldn't recommend this place to a homeless person. I was charged $62 for a room I didn't stay in. I was refused a refund. Horrible experience.

Holy sweet f*ck… If I could give this place "zero" stars I would. Booked this place through a third party service (Priceline, Hotwire, etc. ) and upon arrival the place is absolutely dilapatated. Multiple people in the lobby trying to leave and get a refund as we walked in. The rooms were the worst I have ever stayed in. Roaches literally crawling on the walls and floors. The rooms smell of garbage and rotting food/trash. A/c doesn't work. We tried to switch rooms but the other room they transferred us to was even worse! RUN! DO NOT WALK! STAY ANYWHERE ELSE.

A month at the Lodge cost us far less than a furnished apartment. We had free Wi-Fi, indoor pool, and a great location near shopping and restaurants.

We stayed at the Lodge on a cold night in April. My 12 year old son loved the huge indoor pool. My wife beat me 2 games out of three at the pool table. A good time.

We stayed at the Lodge for 2 weeks waiting for an apartment to be ready. The fridges and microwaves in the rooms reduced our need to eat out. The free Wi-Fi is a real plus.

Ok place, updating rooms, pool is nice but cold, hot tub is no where near hot. It's like cold side of warm. You get what you pay for. …

I stayed at The Lodge for 3 nights while my wife was in DePaul Medical Center. It is the closest nice hotel to DePaul. The staff was most helpful.

Stains on carpet. Roaches on the walls. Bugs in the bed… wierd looking red bugs. Kind of like fleas, but not flat and skinny. I do not recommend that anybody stay here! It is by far, the most disgusting lodging ever. The health department needs to pop in and say hello to the owners. Grrooossss!

Dirty Hotel, Dirty Beds, Rooms, Bath tubs, Bathrooms, Everything Is Dirty Never Stay Here! Bed Bugs. No Towels But 1, No Coffee, No Hair Dryer, No Heat Or AC, Broke Doors, Broke Elevator, Bugs On Floor in lobby And Everywhere Else In The Hotel,, Dirty Brown Water In Pool And Cold Hot Tub! Dirty Underwear In The Bathtub! Very Outdated And Pictures On Website Old. Cheap And Nasty Is This Hotels Motto! Horrible Service. Rude Staff. Should Be Closed Down! Just Cant Say Anything Good About This Hotel. Left After A Hour And Went Next Door To The Motel 6 Much Cleaner And Nicer And Cheaper. The Pool Was Luke Warm At Best And Dirty As All Get Out… Beds Made My Back Hurt. Holes in The Walls. Felt like I was in a horror movie. Dirty Sheets And Sheets Not Even On Bed Right! Plus No Fitted Sheet. Had Smoking Room But No Ass Tray Holes In The Bed And Sheets. Will Never Go Here Again And Sure As Hell Never Gonna Recommend This Place To Anyone!

I only gave it one star because it wouldn't let me post without doing so! Ants on night stand, bed had urine stains siding was open to where you could see springs. The room smelled! Unsafe! You can hear everyone! People outside all hours yelling! Our room had a door to the room next door when we arrived it was unlocked. When I left I was followed! There's hotels for the same price & are safe go else where! There was mold on our bathroom door, shower tiles falling off.

Location is great rooms were ok the beds in the 2 bed rooms were amazing but management is horrible they threw me out because I fell down the stairs on the inside bc they were wet from the pool.

It could be WAY better, CLEANER, and professional. First off by ANY means I didn't go in the pool, or anywhere near it. Lobby was dusty and stained carpets, I came here for a week. It was my only choice at the time. I guess weekly rooms are somewhat different than regular rooms which btw, they say the weekly inside rooms above the pool are better, because they never really get used. The one nights above the pool do, but the weekly's don't. Wi-Fi was definitely not high speed, it rarely stayed connected. They clean your room once a week during weekly stays is what they tell you, WRONG! I've had to vacuum my own room, and go all the way down to the lobby to trade my own sheets in for the new ones, because they did not come the day they were suppose to clean. They don't come up to give you new towels, you have to take your own dirty towels down in exchange for new ones! Which is ridiculous! So I had to keep walking up and down the stairs every time. I was on the 3RD floor, on the inside. The room when I first checked in was dusty, metals and such were rusty, and icky. The bathroom was okay, not too bad, but it has a tub, that you can't bathe in. Shower only, which doesn't adjust, it's up too high and sprays out everywhere, you can't turn it towards the tub floor, or anything, you can only adjust the massage settings. Maintenance sucks.

Man you no what they say believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. This place is soooo jacked up it ain't even funny. It was nasty dark and dismal dank and very disheveled. Hillbillies was all out in the court yard had they door open smoking weed they breath smelled like number 2. That place is a white new jack city it need to be shut down real talk.

This was the worse motel I have ever been too. Showers were nasty, the bed sheets had holes from cigarette burns, and the whole building smelled like trash. The only reason I stayed here was because everything else was booked. I will NOT be coming back!

Dirty, unsafe, exterior doors stay wide open for any one, or any thing for that matter. Hallways are filthy. A lot of unsavory characters… if u are in this area go to the In-Town Suites. This place is a rats nest. They do have a nice pool though… would u rather swim… or be clean and safe?

Someone got shot the first night we came here. The toliet doesn't work. The room stinks. The door is broken. An they refused a refund for the week. Bugs in the bed and the hot water burned my hands. Been here three days and still no toilet.

Do not stay there. I didn't go there by choice. Motel 6 gave away my reservation. When I first get there, security was escorting a guy out. They sent me to a room with someone in it first. Then a room on the far end of 4th floor. Walking by the AC units blowing out warm air was bad. This room the bathroom light didn't work. Furniture was dirty. Old TV had maybe 35 channels. The door looked like it was broke in to before. … anyways in the morning there was 6 cop cars outside. … This place looked like it would have been the coolest hotel when it opened but needs a remodel bad, maybe after a remodel the new prices would keep the rif raf out.

Nothing good to say about this place. Without a doubt the worse experience I've ever had at a hotel. The entire place smells bad. The staff is very very rude even had one young cocky kid that is employed here cuss at me in front of my two young daughters. The room is nasty you have to walk around trash and half eaten food on stairs. Employees sitting around on stairs smoking being loud. Their pool is only open for 3 hours. I will be finding a way to get my complaints to the right person. Considering filing a law suit over the one employee cussing at me and trying to get violent.

Whoever rated this hotel 5 stars had to have been paid off or someone who works there because this was one of the worst places I ever stayed and I've stayed in hotels and hostels all over the world. The floors were filthy, there was mold in the bathroom above the shower, the "heated" pool was freezing, the hot tub was out of order, the staff was not friendly or helpful, there were sketchy people always hanging out in front after dark, dogs barking, and kids screaming in the pool area until well past the 10pm "quiet" time. I'm sorry but cheap does not have to mean nasty and this place was gross.

Worst hotel I ever been too. Doesn't even have a flat screen t. V. The lock on the door was broke, smelled like urine in elevator, and filled with hoodlums… I would give four thumbs down if I had two more hands.

The pool was ICE COLD. The hot tub whirlpool was open, but after a few members of my family getting in, they said it was cloudy and very stinky. We told the front desk and she said "I thought I had it closed down, they need to shower ASAP! " Pool was open until after 10pm, kids screaming and playing in there came through our room on the 3rd floor, very loudly. Dogs barking in the room next to us as well. Stepped outside a few times and every time, strange men came up to us acting drugged out of their heads, talking crazy and trying to sell us liquor and drills. Also asked to use our cell phones and for a ride. Waste of $70. Gross. Only positive was the bed was clean.

A group of us stayed at this hotel one night recently in the middle of a cross country trip. This was the worst hotel I have stayed in a long time. The rooms and common areas were very dirty. I'm not talking about just needing wiped down or vacuumed. I'm talking about piled up dirt along the hallway walls, greasy feeling carpet in the rooms, etc. There were two bugs crawling on the walls on two occasions in the same night. There was no breakfast. The halls and common areas were dimly lit. If it were not so late at night we would have pulled out. Fortunately the beds seemed clean, there was hot water and clean towels. Couldn't wait to get out of there though.

This place has went down hill. It's just a motel with swimming pool. And they have fleas in some rooms. I even saw a couple of roaches. They don't have a fitness room.

We were told we could check in at noon and got there and had to leave and come back after 3. When we got there the hotel was so HOT but the "heated pool" was ice cold. The jets did not work in the hot tub and there was also NO TOWELS available in the entire hotel, we had 1 towel for a room that was supposed to be for 2 adults and 2 children. The hair dryer did not work and the iron was completely gone from our room. While opening the adjoining door that was connecting our two rooms, which was blocked by a mini fridge and microwave, the door handle just FELL off. The internet did not work it said we were connected but there was no internet access. The remote to the TV did not work for our TV, there was batteries because it was lighting up it just didn't work for our TV. Our mini fridge was leaking. The elevator smelled like mold and was so dirty! There was no free breakfast or coffee, when we asked about it they said no we do not have anything like that and recommended the Bob Evans. We will never stay at The Lodge in St. Louis again, and will not recommend it to ANYONE.

Was kicked out by security guards and charged for the room for doing nothing wrong. This place is run down big time. The Motel 6 is by far better. Check out Red Roof at West Port too.

Service here was horrible. The blow dryer in the room did not work. I asked for a new one for 48 hours before I left and STILL did not receive one. The AC in the room also was not working. It took hours for someone to come up to fix it. The towels there are very small so please BRING your own! The elevator smelled horrible. And sheets were dirty when we got into the room. Finally, one of the outlets in the wall were the lap was "supposed" to be plugged up at did not work either. We had to use an extension cord to connect everything so we could have enough light here. The only thing that I liked about this hotel was the heated pool. The spa was nasty and dirty.

I have been coming to this hotel for 5 years. Very polite and caring. They have made great change with age to keep the hotel relaxing. Plenty of security too.

The rate was a good value. We used the free wireless internet for hours. The microwave and fridge in the room saved us money by not dining out. Thnk you, Lodge staff.
