Madison, WI was the perfect summer weekend getaway for us. (Just over 5 hours drive from Grand Rapids, MI) The Buckingham Inn was fantastic and SO much better than any hotel we could have stayed in. The breakfasts were fresh & delicious, our room was large and well appointed, the whole house was steeped in rich architectural character. Super clean too! Tom & Heidi were the perfect hosts. We will go back for sure and we Highly recommend the Madison/Buckingham combo to any of our Grand Rapids friends looking for a weekend adventure!

Tom and Heidi are great hosts. The rooms are spacious and clean. Super convenient, safe, close to campus and Camp Randall.

We stayed in the Varsity Suite and it was truly wonderful. Extremely clean, neat and well-appointed. They’ve thought of everything! The location was convenient to UW and the morning breakfast was declicious. I told the hosts that I apologize in advance for the terrible review I’m going to leave in order to reduce competition the next time I try to book but I clearly couldn’t follow through on that faux threat!

I highly recommend The Buckingham Inn to anyone visiting Madison. Heidi and Tom are lovely people who are passionate about making their guests feel right at home. The rooms were excellent, service was fantastic and the home cooked breakfasts were the highlight of my Madison visit. If you plan on visiting Madison be sure to stay here as it will enhance your overall experience.

Tom and Heidi have an amazing B&B close to the stadium. They cook delicious breakfast, and the room was cozy and comfy. Great place to stay in Madison!

The Buckinham Inn was a wonderful place to stay. We were in the Varsity Suite and it felt like a cozy apartment instead of a room. Clean, very friendly, fabulous breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

As good as a bed and breakfast can be. The owners were incredible, the room was lovely with a fantastic bathroom, and the breakfast was out of this world. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Extremely well maintained and furnished. Spacious rooms and baths. Many amenities due to the owners belief that the establishment should have what they would want in a B&B.

Beautiful home that is recently renovated. Everything met the standards of a great B&B. Great location too, half a block from Camp Randall.

Totally beyond my expectation! Honestly, the first glance at the appearance of the building was completely on the opposite site of my impression of an “inn”. But as long as I got into the house, I was absolutely impressed! The traditional dining hall, antique lounge, complimentary service (including breakfast and wine) and especially the details of bedroom setting — silky texture sheets, wooden fans, spa tub, and small decorations such as microscope and college books — everything here is amazingly attractive! The only defect might be a lack of sound insulation that you might hear others’ occasional footsteps since this is an old house. But nothing is bad if you consider this place as a home. I would definitely come back in the future and recommend my friends to be here! 5 stars! And I have to revise this comment, adding more appreciations to the complimentary breakfast: it is sooooo great! Gorgeous breakfast, decent people, considerable service and wonderful talk! I should give it 6 stars!

Stayed one night on a Saturday. Very nice location. Very well-kept. Beautiful home. Relaxing stay. Very gracious host. Would stay there again.

Unexpected great stay. Beautifully renovated apartment building has 3 rooms for rent. The University room we stayed in was light, nicely decorated, and spacious. Had a very comfy king bed and a large bathroom with a bubble tub and nice shower. Relaxing common areas and a good breakfast from the friendly hosts. Highly recommend!

A lovely hospitable couple, delicious hot breakfast, wine and coffee, an amazing location near the University and Badger Stadium, and spacious luxurious rooms. Perfect in every way, and I'll be back.

Outstanding. Fantastic. Wonderful! Tom and Heidi are living the dream as modern day "inn keepers, " and they are doing it right. From their location to UW and Camp Randall Stadium to their wonderful breakfasts, beautiful rooms and heavely sheets… they got it. Their BnB achieved Midwestern hospitality, romance and good old Madison/ UW football FUN! We will be back again!

This place is a hidden gem! The innkeepers were so nice and thoughtful. The house is amazing! I did not want to leave when our stay was over. The jetted tub and upgraded shower where amazing! Thank you again for a wonderful weekend. Can't wait till we can come back!

We've just enjoyed our fourth visit to The Buckingham Inn in two years, and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Madison. As former city residents, we know the city fairly well — — although it's changing rapidly — — and find The Buckingham an ideal location for anywhere we need to go during our visit. Heidi and Tom are perfect hosts, rooms are ultra-clean, delightfully appointed and the setting in an iconic Madison neighborhood is engaging. And, we think the pricing is very reasonable for the relaxing setting, delicious breakfasts, and gracious hospitality.

Dave and I had a delightful stay at the Buckingham Inn after going to the Overature Center to see Phantom of the Opera with our sons and daughters in law. The room was lovely; the bathroom was astounding… with a jet tub and gigantic shower. The Arts and Crafts home is beautifully restored, and is in a lovely old neighborhood, about a half block from Camp Randall. Breakfast was very good, especially the peach coffee cake :-) Hope to visit again some time in the future.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Buckingham Inn while in Madison visiting family for the holidays. We wanted to find a place to stay that felt like home to us, and the Buckingham Inn fulfilled that nicely. The inn itself is beautifully set up and decorated, with evident thought put into the smallest details. The breakfasts were outstanding and fit our dietary needs nicely, and most of all, Heidi and Tom were friendly, pleasant, and helpful. The location was convenient to any place we wanted to go in the Madison area. As we make frequent trips to Madison, this has definitely been a great find. Thank you Heidi and Tom for being the perfect hosts that you are. We look forward to our next visit.

What an amazing place to stay… Tom & Heidi are such great hosts/Inn keepers. Everything from "welcome" to our last morning at the Inn was fabulous. I'm not a B&B type gal and you managed to wow us… We will be back again.

The best bed and breakfasts that I have been to yet. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and very friendly. They made an old building originally for College housing in to a gorgeous B&B. The location is top notch for walking around Madison.

What a great B&B this is. The hosts, Heidi and Tom, have thought of every detail to make you feel welcome, comfortable and pampered. The rooms are clean and fresh and well appointed. Breakfast was delightful and tasty. Tom and Heidi are gracious hosts. We were students at UW back in the early 70's, and we enjoyed all the pictures and memories. Camp Randall Stadium is a stone's throw away, so make your reservation early for a football weekend. This couldn't be a more convenient place to stay.
