Friendly staff, nice clean room and the price was great!

Dates stayed August 17-20th 2018. We arrived at the hotel at about 6:30pm on the 17th Checked into our room only to find out that the T. V. In our room didn't work and had no remote. Went to the office and was told by the clerk that there was only one room left the room they gave us the door was stuck but after pushing it as hard as I could it opened. The rooms are small the beds were too small for 3 adult women that are 200+ pounds a piece the beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows are so flat you may as well sleep without them. There is no coffee pots in the room. Their idea of breakfast is 2 tables with 4 chairs in the lobby, with the breakfast selections being, muffins, toast, cereal coffee and juices. Will not stay here again.

Some guy with a southern accent called our room at midnight pretending to be the front desk and asked for our credit card number. It was a scam. Guy at the desk said police have been there already. Happened to multiple guests. He woke up our baby. He's either staying there or tapped into hotel phones. Otherwise our stay was fine.

Staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean. The bed was very hard and hard to get comfortable.

Mold in the room big spots on the carpet hair in the shower"not mine" toilet leaking on the floor. And just sloppy. Breakfast at 6 left at 6:10 no breakfast and NO ONE around.

We stayed there for 2 nights Friday and Saturday of last week. The temperature was in the 90s each day. The ice machine was broken and we were not told about it during check in. It was not fixed prior to us leaving the lodge. It would have been nice if corporate would have had some ice on hand for the patrons. Badda Book Badda Boom? Not when on a hot weekend in July there is no Ice Ice Baby.

Although the room was nice to a point, the manager of this place quoted me a $60 price for our 1 night stay. He DID NOT say $60 + tax and this is exactly what happened. We actually stayed 2 nights, once each time on our way to Colorado and back. We stayed at this same place in 2017 and paid just over $60 each night. I did NOT ask for a room with a king size bed as my wife does not use the bed anyway. A room with a queen size bed would have been fine and that is what we had in 2017. And then, to top it off, after my call today about this overcharge, this manager had the nerve to tell me that he'll charge us $70 the next time we stay. Needless to say, we WILL NOT be staying again.

Great location. Clean rooms. Very courteus and great staff. Specially the gentle man who served us breakfast in morning was amazing.

The location was fine, it was right near the freeway. The staff was friendly enough. However, the entire place smelled of cigarette smoke and the rooms were missing nonessential pieces such as the sides to the sink. The beds were a little too firm to the point of being hard. Not too huge of a deal but there was only one entrance or exit for the hotel. The breakfast was bare essentials such as cheerios, milk, stale waffles and packaged honey buns. It was inexpensive though!

As the glowing apocalyptic ember of a life lived on the edge of Americas bloated black bile wasteland called L. A. Fades in the rearview, a new life begins and it starts at the econolodge in Lexington, NE. The owner greets meet by way of the pleasently distinct aroma of a curry obscured by walls but a curry that saturates the soul in warmth and welcomes a dreary travrller with the comfort that he is in good hands. Any traveller worth his weight in coumin knows curry means hospitality and attention to detail. If the enterprising owners were confident enough to invest in one of the many aging motels of the midwest, like so many of their paisanos, then i, too, am confident my that my reasonable rate will afford me comfort, cleanliness and solitude as I contemplate just what the hell Hollywood has entrenched in the souls of a lost society finally enjoying the freefall thats earned through the climb of decline… and satanic ritual abuse. Hollywood eats babies.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing not nice is the bed, which is extremely hard.

Very clean but too firm of bed and the breakfast had biscuits and gravy and fresh waffles.

Eh it was ok. Very basic, pretty clean. But overpriced for what is it. $89.99 weekend base price. Yeesh. I should have stayed someplace nicer for that price.

DO NOT Stay here! The falsely advertised having 2 double beds available in the room we bought. Then when we got there was only one. We asked for another and they were booked. We asked for our money back. The man up front was furious with us. We went and stayed at the days inn. Then we got home and saw instead of giving us our money back they charged us 2 more times! Now we are home trying to call them and they are saying everything is ok on our end. We lost 230 dollars and we didn't even stay there.

Do not stay here! The building itself is terrible and the room was disgusting. Not clean. The door did not lock properly without some work. I did not feel safe. Worn down and not recommended.

The sheets were dirty when entering the hotel and barely slept. Why? Worst sleep of my life. The noise was insane could hear ever single word from neighbor next store. Between their sexual engagement, fighting, and screaming. Worst experience ever and it left a horrible impression of the hotel.

When entering the hotel room the beds had blood stains on the comforter on both beds this was at 2:00AM so we pulled them off and slept with the sheet. The next day we tried using the refrigerator it was broken. The plug in outlets were hanging out of the wall. The dry lamp in the bathroom was broken off at the switch. And the shower only got luke warm. I would not recommend this place to stay just for lack of care and maintenance.

Nice hotel with good rooms and cable and breakfast! The front desk guy was really nice and matched our online price!

It was a very spacious room. The room had a mini fridge and microwave, as well as a very nice desk and chair. As I had a single occupant room, there was also a comfortable chair included I assume for watching TV, reading or whatever. Much like the other guests who left reviews, I was disappointed in the bathroom, while the rest of the room seems recently renovated, it seems the bathrooms weren't (see photo). The old drop ceilings just make the place look worse than it is. The room was quite clean, I specifically went looking for dirt and dust and didn't find any, but the bathroom while also clean, in it's current state, just gave off the vibe of dirty and dingy. Also like other reviewers I found the towels to be well worn, a few had holes in them, despite that, the towels were clean and fresh smelling. I enjoyed the large flat screen TV, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The free continental breakfast was decent as well. Factor all that in and take note that this is the least expensive option for a hotel in town. Long review short, I would definitely stay here again.

I came here instead of my normal company approved motels so that I could have breakfast before getting back on the road. I'm an OTR Driver and am recovering trucks. The gentleman that assisted me was very pleasant and friendly. I got a smoking room so I didn't have to go outside in the cold. Yeah it smelled but that's the smell of stale cigarettes. The bed was good and I kept warm. The breakfast made my tummy full and was good. Not a lot was offered but this isn't a full service restaurant either. This place is approved by me as an OTR Driver and yes I'm picky where I lay my head.

We got a smoking pet friendly, was told a certain price at the front desk, we needed it one more night and all of a sudden the price was more. There was lipstick all over the toilet, the toilet paper was on the holder half used, our towels had holes, our bed sheets have cigarette burns, theres no screen in our window so our kitty almost jumped out. The bathroom fan wires are all exposed making it dangerous while showering because the walls sweat so bad and the floor gets slippery because the fan doesnt work at all. The outside area is covered in cigarettes and animal feces. The walls are dirty and marked up, there was dust on the furniture. Happy about the mini fridge/microwave & TV. Service is fine, I would have rated it 5 if it was clean.

After making a reservation at this Econo Lodge, I was transferred to a representative promoting vacation packages through "Blue Green Vacations". When I told the representative I was not interested, he kept trying to offer me other packages. It went on until I told him I was going to have to hang up. When I said that he said "Thank you we will only charge you $149.00 instead of the $199.00! I told him I would report him to the Better Business Bureau and then I hung up. When I immediately called the hotel number to cancel my reservation, the call would not go through. I kept calling until someone finally answered. The person who answered would not let me speak to the manager but he did cancel my reservation!

The room was covered in animal hair (they allow pets which is fine but clean after they leave) and we didn’t bring any animals with us. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was disqusting. The location was great but honestly would not recommend. Who even knows If they actually change the sheets as we found animal hair completely covering everything including the bed. I rated two only because of the location.

Best price in lexington, ne. Manager here at Econo Lodge picked me up from the Comfort Inn after they asked me to leave when I disputed why my credit card was pre-authed over $700.00 CAD for a 4 night stay. (Please feel free to read my review of the Comfort Inn @ Lexington, NE. Quite the experience indeed. ) Manager also took me to an ATM. My room was bigger, my bath tub was bigger, and I saved over $300.00 for the length of my stay while my semi truck transmission was replaced… compared to the ridiculously over priced Comfort Inn which was only a half mile away. save your money, stay here and actually get respect & customer service!

Very comfortable for the money. It was being remodeled when we were there so things were not really up to par, but the staff was friendly and the stay was pleasant.

Just needed somewhere to sleep. Room clean and smelt fresh. Bathroom clean. Bed comfortable. Excellent value for price.

This hotel was nothing spectacular. The room was adequate, the bathroom was decent. A slightly outdated look on the interior. The morning breakfast was quite underwhelming. For the price though, it was about as good as I expected.

Quoted $55 for the single room was billed $72.80. I was not given a receipt. What was the $17.80 charges from. I have never had a hotel charge that much more. I will not be returning. What a rip off.

My experience was awful! My room had no heat. It was 21 degrees outside! Instead of offering me another room he gave me a space heater that didn’t heat up the room!

Pricy for being outdated. Clean enough, but needs some improvement. The breakfast was basic and bed was hard like a rock. I know this is budget hotel " shouldn't complain " bla bla. I have been to "cheaper" motels, who still put pride on their business!

Expensive for the age of the place. Clean and quiet though and continental breakfast. Nice staff.

The room was super clean very clean in fact. Loved it! The pillows were just right and bed was comfortable. The place is being remodeled and I hope the new owner does well. The coffee was watery and breakfast not a great selection. The price for us was total of $67 and change. I give it an A! Its really hard to find such a clean place.

Appears to be under new management and building is under renovation. Upgrades are coming along nicely. Room was nice and everything worked as expected.

The Ecomo Lodge in Lexington Nebraska is an older hotel that has been work on a bit but still needs quite a bit of updating. That being said each time at night when entering the hotel the smell of cigarette smoke is very strong. The hotel was pretty clean for it's age and condition but the strong smoke smell in our non smoking hotel was very unpleasant. I should add we stayed during the Solar Eclipse and no other rooms were available elsewhere.

Hotel in good shape with all the renovations. Please, keep up the great work. Enjoyed my stay.

Easy in off the highway. Quick check in and out. No frills but the but is right. Would stay again.

It's ok. Old stuff, few people there. Also saw ants. Had free Wi-Fi but had to watch an ad for faster Wi-Fi, which was quite strange. Not near too many locations.

Vacancy late at night when I needed to stop driving. Service was very good. Adequate breakfast. Nice room. Great price. Bob was very friendly.

It has been recently remodeled it is a very decent hotel. Staying only one night but I have no complaints. The exterior did look eerie due to location, however, it is being remodeled. It is down the street from shopping centers.

I really, really liked it. The room was Hugh very clean. Not only was the room Hugh so was the bathroom. Have been on vacation since July 6th and I have to say " I stayed in a Roadway from July 7 through the 15 and it was soooo small that we really couldn't move unless we sat on the bed so the person who needed to get to the bathroom could get there. And let me just tell you that you really didn't even want to go to the bathroom unless you really, really had too. The bathroom was sooo small that you didn't even have any room to move around in at all!. Was very, very, very UNHAPPY with that room. When you visit Pigeon Forge make sure your room is large enough for you and 3 other people. Especially if ALL of you are Adults and you have a 14 and 16 year old grandchildren with you that are big. Wish I had this room for our entire vacation!

Keep driving no hot water, nasty bathrooms, and way overpriced.

We didn't expect the pet fee, and I asked for a smoking room and got a non-smoking room, but it was very clean. Breakfast was literally cereal and muffins, and the orange juice machine was broken. Coffee was horrible and watery. The 59.99 room turned into an 80.00 room quickly though. Overall, an OK value.

Clean, spacious room. No bugs, No stains on the linens, pet friendly (pet fee is $10), quiet neighborhood. Basic breakfast (muffins etc). Fridge in the king bed room (not sure about the other rooms). No coffee maker in the room but they do have it in the office during breakfast hours. All in all this was a very pleasant experience.

Beds are so comfy. Good breakfast. Pet friendly. Good price.

You get what you pay for. The Wi-Fi was great. I was able to download a bunch of movies on it. They had cable so I could watch the NBA Finals. The parking lot smells funny but that's just the town. Great place to stay if you want to save money.

Very bad service. Gross room had to leave because I couldn't sleep due to the cockroaches I found.

I really DO NOT recommend this place. We found blood on our pillow and cockroaches in the bathroom. We will be calling the department of health to have them look over the place.

The room door lock us in the room and there was roaches in the room I was not happy with the place never will stay there again didnt leave lonely reason I stayed was ice storm.

The placed looked a bit sketchy from outside, there was only 1 car in the entire parking lot but the inside was pretty nice. Everything appeared clean. The room had a bad smell to it but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Close to shopping and eateries.

Lexington, NE location: Pet friendly rooms for only an extra $10. Affordable rooms for traveling, located right off of I-80. Many restaurants and convenience shops within walking distance.

The service was good. Nice clean rooms. Only con was the AC wasn't in a good location.

It was okay. Price was pretty high for what we gotgot, which was a corner room filled in a hotel with sketchy guests.

The least option for reviewing your hotel was one (1) star. However, you deserve ZERO (0) stars — that's right I said it! This place is ridiculous. Received this hotel through Hotwire on June 1, 2016 for a stay on June 7, 2016. However, this did not happen as the front desk was totally rude to my daughter and would not let them stay as it was after check-in time. I specifically called Econolodge in Lexington, Nebraska on June 1, 2016 @ 10:50 A. M. After booking through Hotwire and told them my daughters would be coming from the Lumineers Concert in Morrison, Colorado (evening of 6/7/2016) and would not arrive for check-in until 1:00 A. M. Or later. The lady who answered said yes that would be fine. This is why you are receiving a horrible review. Now my daughters have had no rest and are on their 13-hour ride home. Thanks for nothing! $64 down the drain for sure. I would not recommend this hotel to a single person. This is not a HOTWIRE problem, sir. It is your problem. — train your individuals at the front desk/receptionist better as far as LATE check-in especially since you already received my money and probably booked another over top of my room for my daughters. Shame on you!

There was black mold growing in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom didn't shut. And the bathroom smelt like mildew and was over all filthy.

Have stayed at this property twice now and both times was the same experience. This is an older budget hotel but our room was clean and Omg the beds are super comfortable. We also found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. Plan to stay again the next time we pass through.

Fridge didn't work, blood on sheet, damn roaches on the walls. Toilet was stopped up, filthy nasty place sleep in your car you'd be better off. All the owner said was your not getting your money back. That place needs condemned.

My room was clean and this motel was nicer than the others we looked at in the area. I'm a smoker so I appreciated the smoking room availability. The only downside was it took the night girl a while to wake up when we got here. Simple free breakfast. Overall happy with our stay and price for the area.

For the price, I was happy with my room, it is a vintage hotel, but clean and comfortable. It is a mom and pop run hotel, I found them pleasant and helpful.

This place I promise u is in fact your worse night mare and I'm here right now only cause our boss rented it sight unseen for a week. Its a dump and if u have fear of spiders don't come for sure. Children should never b here period.

Pros: Good, inexpensive ($67 after tax) room. Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Wifi, satellite or cable TV (can't remember which), good bathroom, strong AC. When you're in the room, you're happy. Cons: These got me upset, but they don't trump the room's good condition. Staff either does not speak English or has very heavy accents to the point where communication is difficult. Guest washing machine was broken when I arrived, which was a disappointment as I had to wash my bicycling clothes by hand after anticipating otherwise. Breakfast was not yet ready even 45 minutes after it had opened (coffee and juice not available, waffle batter not present). Despite the cons, the low price for the nice room makes them worth it.

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The receptionist was rude and surly. The room was musty and dank, and the shower was filthy. The beds were ok, but there was so much dust and mold that it was impossible to sleep well. If you have allergies to mold or dust and if you don't like a dirty bathroom stay far away.

It was inexpensive which was what we wanted but the place seemed neglected. Room was not cleaned well — there was somebody else's food left in the frig. Contrary to advertising there was no coffee or breakfast. They offered to refund our charge when I complained.
