For the price it was good. We had zero issues. Not sure if the room was cleaned well since we did find a beer bottle under the air conditioning unit, but that's not a big deal.

It was quite and was in a good location for me and he things I had traveled to do. Rooms where clean and comfortable.

Do not waste your money and stay here. We found female panties made up in the bed, somebody bra on the side of the bed. The toilet had black rings around it. The chair you sit in at the table was so dirty it had black stains all over it. And the floors was dirty. The refrigerator was filthy. We had to actually leave and go to another hotel. And they keep giving me the run around about my refund.

The worst days inn ever. I stayed there before and was ok, but the last time was a disaster. I booked 2 rooms deluxe non smoking with stovetop and they gave away my rooms and gave me just regular rooms even though I payed for 2 with stovetop. In one of the rooms has the bathroom sink clogged and in the other room the shower was also clogged.

Nice place and easy access to interstate and restaurants, rooms a bit small but not a deal breaker.

Crappy dated hotel. Had things stolen by the cleaning staff, the maintenance guy was very rude. Would not recommend anyone stay here. Rachel in the office was nice.

Do not stay here. I only booked this place because I was in town for the night. I understand you get what you paid for however, these pictures are not the how the rooms look at all. 2 lights where out, the a/c was not working, the bed is not even on the bed rails. The bed rails are sticking out 2 feet from the bed which I ran into and now have a big bruise on my leg. OH I LEFT immediately and they only offered to give me another room.

Clean and friendly. Pretty much exactly what you hope to expect.

I have never been here, but since you keep harassing me for a review (daily), it must be a terrible place to stay. Newport News has many great lodgings. I advise you to steer clear of this one.

If you are in need of a quick location for rest, this would be ideal but this place needs a ton of updating and maintenance work. Upon arrival, it was a hassle with the door to the room. The toilet also didn't flush but we made due considering we were only there for an overnight stay between states. The staff was friendly and professional.

Worst experience ever. Horrible! Room was disgusting, walls are thin. People fighting, smoking in rooms next to none smoking. If you are okay with drunks screaming all night and getting no sleep this is the place for you. Wasted 95 dollars and 2 days without sleep!

Good for a late night get up early the next day kind of place.

Didnt like there was not hot water to take a shower and the window of dead bugs and the mildue smell. They would not refound me my money nor walk me to other motel.

I feel it was a bit overpriced. One week they charged us double pet deposit because they forgot to last week. That took up my mom's whole paycheck. The microwave in the room doesn't even have a rotating plate, and someone took the dial out of the mini fridge that controls temperature and left it on max cool temp which froze everything under the freezer. The fridge also has its own egg tray, something you won't really need in a room with no stove. My room keys kept getting deactivated every 3 days. So I would be locked out occasionally while walking a dog in the cold. One day the doorknob broke on the outside of the door. Had to call maintenance to fix it.

Easy check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi barely worked though and was unsecured.

This place was horrific. I would not suggest anyone to stay here. 4 thumbs down. Running toilet, fire alarm beeps all day and night, room was musty smelling, dirty linen, tub look nasty dare not put a foot in there, furniture is old and falling apart, lamp shade had blood stains… We had two rooms and after numerous complaints we decided for our health and peace of mind to leave and book at RESIDENCE INN MARRIOTT.

Days Inn was a really nice experience for me the hotels with knives the beds were comfy the TV was great I do wish that the closet space was a little big but overall the bathrooms were nice to the hotel in general is really nice I would go back anytime.

Dirty rooms and a rude staff that can't seem to act civil. Smell of drugs even came from several rooms. Hated it, and I normally like Days inn for being cheap but well worth the lower price.

Checked in motel they are fixing the roof on one building they put me in that building the air compressor was running my husband works at night and sleeps in the day so I asked to be moved and they put me in a second building right in front of 2 big trash bins one right in front of my room and one in the back of the building. I would not recommend staying here until these problems are fixed. The furniture needs to be updated also.

The lady behind the desk was extremely friendly but thats about the only positive thing I can say. Room wasn't very clean, sink was way too low, and there was an abundance of crackheads. On the second night of my stay my friend found a bedbud in one of the beds.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Everything about it is horrible and nasty. They do not clean the rooms. We had to go get our own cleaning supplies because the bathroom was gross. Also they have roaches! when I told the lady at the front desk she just looked at me like she didn't know. Shes been working there for a fews years so she definitely knew. It seemed like it was normal for her. We booked the room for 3 nights but checked out early after finding the roaches. There are druggies everywhere and this seems like the ultimate hangout spot for them. The only cameras they have are facing the vending machines. Wth! I don't even know how this place is still in business. Do yourself a favor and don't be cheap. Spend the extra $30 stay somewhere 100x cleaner!

This was a nice cheap hotel to stay in. Its outside of Norfolk, so if you plan on spending a lot of time in the city you ave to drive through a lot of traffic and tunnels to get into the city. However the hotel is nice and the attendants are friendly.

A place to sleep for a cheap price. Not somewhere to spend the day. Not so great neighborhood. The kitchenette in our room was not worth the roaches…

Nice location and accessable to places to get things you may need. Clean and the staff was very helpful and professional. Will stay there again when I'm on that end.

First room my husband and I checked into was dirty. We had to change rooms and that one was no better. No toilet paper… no such thing as a continental breakfast. Coffee was not served. Just a waste of money and im surprised by this being it was a days inn. Truly feel I should be reimbursed half of my money back… if not. All of it…

Difficult to enter, have to go past place and make U turn. Water out second night. Customer service great. Comfortable beds, good A/C.

The place isn't terrible, it has a working shower, clean bathrooms and comfy beds… But when you don't get any room service I think it's time to find a new hotel.

Affordable. Quite. Clean beds… some of the amenities where not available. Iron was badly burnt. Ask for maintemance never came the room.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Smelled like smoke, my neighbor was a prostitute who had several customers visit very loudly at night, the area felt unsafe and the hotel itself was very grimy and terrible, not well kept. I almost left halfway through the night because it became unbearable. Do not stay here.

The room was poorly ventilated so the carpet stayed damp. Our toilet kept running all night and wouldn't flush unless you manually forced it by playing with the controls inside the tank. Our smoke detector beeped every 30 seconds. We tried to call the front desk to ask for someone to come fix the problems but we didn't have a phone in our room. After our complaints to the front desk, they called maintenance but they never bothered to come fix any of the issues. "Breakfast" consisted of sausage links, egg circles, bread, and 2 different kinds of cereal. There was a waffle maker, but it wasn't plugged in and there was no waffle mix. They did, however, have the best assortment of milk I've seen outside of the grocery store. The milk was impressive.

Stayed there Mar. 31 — Apr. 1 2016 in a double bed suit. Got there late at night about 9 pm. Yes it's true that the rooms could be cleaned better but you get what you pay for. After pealing the covers back and blanket, there were no bed bugs. Although, the blanket had holes in it but I brought my own blanket. Your experience really depends on what room you get. Grass area to walk my dog was short and controlled not wild and thick which is good. Lighting in the room is okay but not bright — little hard to do my makeup In this light.

You really do get what you pay for, which is really sad. Me and my husband just spent the night at this place and now we need a disinfectant bath. (I hate to say such a thing). We pulled up at the hotel and imidately we were turned off. Almost every room door had patches of white paint on it. (Looked horrible). Because I have been told im used to a certain life style and I need to give other thing a try, I stepped out the car and entered the lobby, presentation should really mean more to those who work in the customer service field. The gentleman behind the desk was dealing with a client, looked up at us walking in the door and didnt even acknowledge us. His aparance was a bit off putting/messy for someone who represented the brand. He finished with the guess and again he did not acknowledge us, we had to walk up to him. He did his thing and gave us the key. I expected directions on how to get to the room he didnt give any until I asked and he didnt seem like he even liked the question. We walked to our room which felt like the longest walk because everything was off putting. On entry to the room, it was musty, the carpet looked and felt like it need a good washing. The room was small, things in the room looked like it can do with just a little elbow grease (cleaning). I was never so happy that I walked with lysol, I sprayed the bed the bathroom and I wish I had enough to spay the whole room top to bottom.

I always enjoy my stay here. Everyone is really nice and knowledgeable of the area. I'm always safe and happy with the location.

If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. Kesa or Lisa at the front desk was very rude and impatient. Asking simple questions like repeating her name, or what floor the room is on, her response was less than hospitable. With her unwelcoming attitude it will send you running back to your car. Do not stay at this days inn. It is appalling how she still has a job in hospitality. Save yourself the footsteps out of your car. The cheapness of it reflects in the quality of service that you will receive.

We stayed for 1 week. Wi-Fi didnt work. Building run down and not maintained. Front desk staff was never friendly. Breakfast room was tiny and uncomfortable. Furniture was old and wobbly.

It was horrible the owner or head lady was rude! The rooms were nasty! Their so called breakfast gave me food poisoning. Bedding smelled like mold. Never again. I'll never go back.

Do NOT stay here! Drugs and drinking everywhere. The staff did not care as long as they got your money. My husband checked out early due to the noise and the smell of all the drugs. This is NOT a safe place to stay. Called Days Inn costumer service department and they didn't seem to concerned. Again DO NOT stay here.

I normally do not pay attention to ratings as I have had great experiences in places with low ratings. That and I am not one to complain. I checked in at 300pm on a Thursday and check out 6 hours later. The lady at the front desk had a rude demeanor towards customers. Couldn't get the door to my room open for 10 minutes. The place smelled horrible, the toilet had gotten clogged, cigarette burns were all over the sheets in what was to be a "non-smoking room". There were no pillow cases on the pillows which was absolutely disgusting. It is true, you get what you pay for. I thought this place would at least have cleanliness to it, but my $47 was wasted. I wouldn't stay here again. Warning all who come to seek shelter elsewhere. Those who rate this place are probably trying to boost its reputation, but a collective of us past guests speak for this place when we say it's a dump.

Doh! stayed there two nights. At first I thought, not such a bad deal. But now I'm covered in bed bug bites. Doc says that if does not clear up in a couple more days may have to be more force full in treatment. Boiled myself in hot water bath as soon as I got home. Have washed all my clothing and carry bags. Room had a musty sweet smell that was borderline offensive. I find out now that the bugs put of that odor when they're bad.

Havent even made it yet and customer service gets a 000 I called to confirm my reservation and the MANAGER was RUDE.

This MOTEL is not like other "Days Inn" where it is more quality. This particular location was horrid. We were moved as one room the door was broken and I had found a pair of green underwear shoved under a chair when I moved it to make room for the dogs bed. Both rooms smelled heavily of mildew. The carpets felt wet. The carpets were dirty, walls were dirty, the beds were dirty. The sheets and blankets were worn and had holes in them. The bathroom was dirty and had black mold growing in the shower on the ceiling above the shower head. The mini-refrigerators were unplugged but we wouldn't have used them anyway because they had a horrendous odor to them. They advertise free Wi-Fi internet in every room. That's a joke! And their hot continental breakfast is appalling. The doors of both rooms were so gaped when closed that I could see the street lamps through them at night. Bugs and other rodents have no problem coming in and out as they please. The staff was terrible and lazy. And, I over heard 2 housemaids complaining that a room tenant didn't leave a tip when they checked out. We felt nasty because this place is absolutely scuz and dirty. The only reason we stayed here is because the other hotels were already booked and we had 2 dogs with us. Please save yourself the time and book elsewhere! Trust me, the extra $20-30 you'd pay on a room is well worth it. This place is gross and should be condemned.

I'm staying here for a month due to a business trip. Good place, the King Bed was very comfortable. Spacious room, good customer service. The Wi-Fi is pretty good. Continental breakfast is more of a Spartan breakfast but enough to get your day going. I'd recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good budget long term stay. It's not too far from most shopping centers, the restaurant across the parking light. Valcostas, is a great mom and pop diner. Good food in walking distance from your room. But it for you have $10-15 more to spend, I'd look towards Holiday Inn or the equivalent. I'm pleased with my choice. Will stay again.

Terrible hotel. Scary place with really suspect peeps staying there. The Guy above us had about 5 Pitt bull dogs in his room. Not kidding. Dirty. Stinky. Low class. Spend more and go elsewhere. Trust me.
