Very surprised this motel passes city inspection. The floors were filthy and sticky, the bathroom mirror had broken glass. The bedding was so stained, it looked like it had been used in a pet kennel. The door had a big gap that would allow weather conditions to enter the room. This was the second room I had to be booked in, as the first room I had a key to already had people in it. I am nearly 9 months pregnant and have a 3 year old daughter that I had to take around with me along with our bags. Up to the 2nd floor by stairs (no elevator) and all the way around the building, only to find the room occupied by "squatters" as the front desk rep informed me. Then had to walk my daughter all the way back down to the office to get a new room. I slept maybe 3 total hours max, as the guests in the next room were loudly partying (and then fighting/slamming each other against the wall) until 6am. I didn't even bother trying to use the shower because it clearly had not been cleaned and had greenish brown scum and hair all around the drain (so did the sink) and the caulking looked muddy and like it had been applied by a toddler. I have stayed at Motel 6 in other cities and they have been beautifully maintained. I have no idea why this one was so bad!

Typically Hotel 6 is OK, but the one in Rochester, MN is deplorable. Had it not been late at night and so exhausted from the cross country drive I would have left. The room was filthy! There were spiderwebs along most of where the ceiling met the walls. The blankets had multiple burn holes and disgusting stains. There was a dried up booger on the wall next to the bed. We chose not to shower because the shower floor was nasty. The floor of the bathroom had a build up of gunk behind the door and along the wall indicating that the place is rarely ever cleaned. The general feel of the room made me feel like avoiding walking around without socks on. The pillows were not comfortable. The ice machine in the check-in area was so loud that it was almost impossible to hear what the attendant said, making it necessary to shout & repeat ourselves to check in.

The hotel is in a very great location right off highway 52. The service at the counter from the representative was exceptional although the other guests didnt seem as friendly. The hotel itself need some work and the beds aren't that comfortable. There is no mini fridge or microwave in a standard room but I believe I seen a microwave in the hotel lobby. Police drove through every hour which I dont know if it made me feel safe or scared but you knew they weren't far iv you needed them.

Hi. This is not a motel 6 This is a Helltell 666. (we will keep the fire on for you. ) This place is not fit for humans. The room was so dirty my wife had to throw her white socks away they were black on the bottom. The floor had some slimy sick smelling scum on it. The walls furniture and bed spread had stains all over them. The pillows and mattress should be thrown away in the dumpster. No paint on the outside door of the room I stayed in (peeling off) ROOM 111 Criminal. Activity in the parking lot. Renting rooms to under age juveniles. We had to leave a 1:00 am in the morning due to juveniles kicking the door in next to us. Woke us up from a dead sleep after we had just driven 10 hours. Scared the motel h_ll out of us, so we left in a hurry. I did get a refund but this place should be condemned. I have stayed in 13 motel 6's prior to this one and had no major problems. PS the only one I can commend there is the person that does the laundry. The sheets and pillow cases were clean. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The phone didn't work, the shower was little more than a trickle and the pillows were small and too soft. For the price, I couldn't expect five star service and amenities, but even so it was substandard.

The only nice thing about my staying was how polite the front desk guy was. Yet he couldn’t switch our rooms or give us clean sheets *at least* for the night when we complained about getting into a dirty room with dirty sheets. He said nothing could be done and we had to wait until the morning. Well the morning came and we complained, the lady at the front desk could barely understand English or communicate. I’m never staying at a motel 6 again.

This was the worst Motel 6 that we had ever stayed at. I've been to at least 10 different ones. The floor was sticky, the bed was sinking in the middle, the Bed Head dirt and other crimes of things under the sheets and Springs we're poking out. The toilet ran all through our stay and later on did not even flush. The TV had no reception half of the time. I should note that when we went to the Mayo Clinic the man at the front desk laughed and said that the Motel 6 is on the news all the time and that it's not a great place to be. It was the worst experience I've had at any motel or hotel.

The room smelled of cigarette, the fridge/microwave had food particles inside. The mirrors were smudged. Hair was still in the ice bucket and shower. Bathroom floor was dirty. The sheet had a hole in it. The person next to us was noisy and the person with the dog above us was noisy. If you're looking for peace and quiet and no smelly rooms. Check around for better motels. The Lakeview Inn of Willmar Mn is not a place to Stay if you want peace and quiet and want to feel safe.

I can't put less than one star or else I would. This was once of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed at. We slept completely clothed because the beds looked like they had never been washed. There was mold on the floor, stains on the walls holes in the walls and doors, spider webs and spider nests. The shower was nasty. There was food from who knows when in the fridge. The TV didn't work. The door was broken. And the other people who stayed there kept looking into our car. Just walking into the room you instantly felt uncomfortable like you just walked into a horror movie and the people watching you are yelling "get out stupid, run! " Can't say anything positive about this hotel or my stay there. — 10 stars.

The room was dirty — floor, bathroom, & what looked like blood on wall in bathroom. This room needs to be updated. Floor area around toilet was rusted, water leaking — gross. Toilet ran all night. Mirror smudged. But — no bed bugs! That is a plus.

I had the worst experience at the Rochester Motel 6. The room was not handicap accessible when I stated I need one. They would not move m to a handicap room. I did ask for a ramp to get in to my room, they gave me a plank of wood. The internet would not stay on. When I asked for help with the issue. They could not help me.

The room was adequate and I was thrilled to get a mini fridge for my restricted diet. However, it was far from clean. I wiped a spot on the floor to clean up spilled water and the towel came back BLACK. When leaving, I checked under the bed to find dust and dirt that was visibly thick. The pillows were no more than thin wafer quality. The heater worked well and I like it warm. Yet, I had to turn it down very low because it seemed to always be far warmer than the displayed temperaure. I guess it fit it’s 2 star rating. I was. Happy they had coin washer and dryers, an ice machine and a couple of vending machines, though my ice bucket was dirty and cracked. If you need cheap, be prepared. This was all I could afford and I got what I paid for. There is no alarm clock. Location was convenient and they offer a Mayo Shuttle.

Nice an quiet. Good housekeeper an clean rooms. Would come back.

Had problems with my door key working. The front office Lady was very Helpful we tried 3 different rooms before she got me to open my door. I wish I would of gotten her name…

The phone cord was broken and the heater thermostat didn't work. The shower was also dirty. Other than being located by a stairway with all-night traffic, it wasn't bad but not as nice as the one in Duluth, Mn.

No microwave or fridge but it is the cheapest place in town. Rooms are nice. Showers are really nice. Its worth the money.

Was there for 3 nights, room smelled like urine. The heater was extremely loud. Burn holes on the bed spread. Housekeeping need to due a better job cleaning. There was a used piece of dental floss on the floor. And bathroom had hair all over the floor. I know it's motel 6, but a little more effort in cleaning.

Cross country travelling… and needed something cheap. It wasn't the best place I've stayed, and certainly not the worst. My room didn't smell. That's my biggest pet peeve. Friendly staff. Ok price. Dog friendly.

Been traveling across the u. S. With my wife heading to Chicago, needed a place a couple hours outside. Booked your room online not sure of the website, but the photos look good room look nice in the pictures. Get to the motel and you can tell that it's a bit of a sketchy place by the characters hanging around outside. Not going to judge a book by its cover except for the guy who got stabbed outside my door at 1 in the morning with the cops everywhere and the news crew, we didn't get much sleep. Room was decent, remote didn't work for the TV not a big deal. Night staff guy has a tattoo of a teardrop on his eye, nice guy good service from him. Would I stay there again not a chance. Would I recommend this place? If you're looking for a cheap Motel to have an affair or bring a hooker to or sling your drugs out of, this is it. If you're a family traveling across country and need a place for you and the kids don't stay here.

Pretty sketchy. Modern fixtures, but not clean. Half a whiskey bottle in mini fridge. Heater smelled stale.

We use Motel 6 to stay while seeking medical at Mayo clinic with our family. The room was supposed to be a smoke free room but had a gaging overpowering order of stall tobacco smell (wretched) Not a good sleeping environment. The room was filthy with cobwebs in the corners, dust and grime on the walls and door handles. My wife had to clean the bathroom with disinfectant wipes from her own purse be for using the bathroom. The bed sheets where stained and filthy. So much that our kids would not change for bed but rather TRIED to sleep in their clothes on top of a travel blanket from our car. Non of us dared use the shower even though we needed it. We just went with out showering during our stay. Staff at the front desk was very hard to communicate with. Not well managed from my point of view. Maybe one positive thing may have been clean looking towels but I was really scared to use them with this overall very negative experience that our family had. I definitely would not recommend this motel for my friends and even my enemies.

Location was good. The room is what I expected. The bed was ok, but there was no fitted sheet it was a top sheet and it kept exposing the mattress. Yucky! The pillows would of been fine if it was just me but there was two of us and it would of been nice to of had two each. The towels um they were thin. The man who checked me in was really nice so was the cleaning man. The man at the front desk was rude when I asked for a later check out time. With all that said I appreciate the price.

It is hard to describe in words how deplorable the service, the accommodations and the room were. I am not that picky of a person but will never stay at another Motel 6. I would choose to sleep in a ditch first. The clerk was inept to say the least and I don't know how to begin to describe the condition of the room. Wow, I thought it was a joke at first. From the filthy bedding to the grime covered walls and furniture. They may have got my money this time but NEVER again!

The bed in our first room had cigarette burns ALL over it. And the room smelled horrible. Desk person offered us another room. Second room smelled like very strong week old pee Desk person offered to check rooms with us until we found a suitable one. We did not. Black mold on shower floors, no fridge or microwave in half the rooms. Ended up hurrying to find another hotel and getting a full refund. Horrible place. The dirtiest.

This place is nasty and needs to be updated badly. The toilet was very nasty. The beds were dirty with holes in the bed spreads. The micowave was not clean they need a whole new staff. The front desk clerk Brian was awesome though. The pool was the cleanest thing. The telephone was horrible the whole experience made me feel dirty. I will not be going back.

Our room was filthy. One bed had clean sheets. The other, I doubt it. Went to menards and bought cleaner and paper towel. Feel better about staying here now that the floor has been cleaned. In our walking area only and the table and bathroom. Bathroom was semi clean. But the floor was filthy and could still be scrubbed more.

I have stayed in the past at this very motel. I have spent more than 20 nights. But this last visit made me want to sleep in my car. The staff was nice and helpful. But the first room was just may and the second was much better than the first. Stained comforters, dirty floor, yet the bathroom was clean. Sorry but fir the price at least it could be clean.

Stayed here last year and I saw many bugs. Not all were the same species. Afraid I would take them home in my luggage. Noticed the horrible smell first but dropped into bed because I was beat. Woke up and noticed the bed was dirty and turned on bathroom light and bugs ran helper skelter. My feet were black on bottom next morning. Wouldn't want my dog to sleep there. I complained the next morning but they ignored me NO STARS.

I have never felt compelled to write a review but I am pissed. My husband has had to be seen at Mayo clinic quite a bit in the last few months. We live 5 hours away. We are short on cash so we had to find someplace cheap to stay. We have stayed here every time we were in town. While it isn't the cleanest or nicest place I've stayed, you get what you pay for. The last few times we were here we have had this nice, young girl desk clerk. She was always very friendly and respectful. We have always paid cash. Tonight when we checked in, there was an old, rude, disrespectful clerk that was awful from the minute I walked in the door. She wouldn't allow us to pay cash. And also accused me of trying to run a scam to get the Mayo clinic discount. She was also very rude to the other customers she dealt with. If I were the managers, I would no longer employ this woman. She was absolutely horrible.

OMG! I have stayed at hotels all across the country as I am always traveling. I've stayed in all sorts of good and bad. I have stayed at some hotel 6's that were pretty nice and some that were not great, but of any hotel I have ever stayed at that I thought was a total dive with tin foil on the windows etc. None have been as bad as this here hotrl 6. I just got in my room, almost got knocked over from cat piss smell, no alarm clock, no carpet, the bed looks like preschoolers had a food fight on it with the filth and stains all over it. I actually gona walk back to offuce after this review and ask for my money back and go somewhere else. Ive never had to do that before and have never left a review before on a hotel, but this place is so bad that it is criminal, and I feel compelled to warn others. Sleep in your car before coming to place!

Smh it say no smoking but it's nasty all around the edges. Cigarette burns everywhere from the floors go the beds n curtains. I walked in my room it smelled lik piss. LIK an out house. Made a complaint n she bring n spray n say she dnt smell shit. I feel they should have free wash n dry services and n water mechanism. It's jus ice smh.

My room was filthy. The non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke and the shower edge and the bed linens even had cigarette burns on them. I won't stay in this Motel 6 again.

I have been very happy with the service I have gotten during my stay especially since pets are aloud there with no extra charge. This makes a real difference with me. I would really like it even better if I could get a kitchenette during my stay because I have limited funds when I stay at the motel. There is a lot of work that needs to be done in the rooms because the floors are coming up and the TV's don't work all the time. I think that it would be more economical for the housekeepers if the use of fitted sheets. I had to remake the bed all the time even in the middle of the night because the bottom would always come off. Please don't be offended with this because it is only meant for you to use to improve services. I like staying there and will again.

Epic fail. Clerk would not accept coupon displayed on a smart phone, tried bait and switch to a higher room rate. Insisted he had to have a paper copy, how 20th Century is that? Smart phone image of a boarding pass is acceptable to TSA, CBP, and the airline, but this motel won't budge on a coupon. I'll be staying here no more.

I thought the management was nice. They helped me right away. The man who checked me in told me exactly how to get to my room. When I got in the room, I thought the size was perfect. The colors on the walls are very welcoming. One thing I did notice was greasy hand prints on the comforter but that can be covered up by a blanket. Also the facets for the sinks are hooked up wrong so you have to go the opposite way to get the water temp you need. I did love the showers though. Different style and a little modern. I recommend this place for how cheap it is.

I love the wood flooring. Carpet causes many allergies and germs. The new furniture and new management must have made a world of difference as far as prior reviews. The night staff, Brian, is amazing. Great customer service. The manager, Andy, is always very professional, even when being accosted by some ghetto hood rats. The location does cause for some unsavory drifters off the highway, but the way management handles these type of customers is always professional. All in all, great job.
