This is the second year in a row that my son and I have stayed here. We absolutely love the rooms! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to others.

Our toom is cozy and cute as can be. Management is warm and accommodating. Wish our schedule allowed us to stay more than one day!

Location is very nice & rooms are nice.

Quiet hotel, very well-kept and clean, friendly and welcoming caretakers that will make you feel at home, great breakfast and awesome wine and cheese. We will be back!

What a friendly wonderful place. Today is the last day they are open, but they let us stay one more night. The rooms are great and the beds are comfy. We can see the water and bridge from our room, an the beach access gives a breathtaking view of the mighty Mack! if you are in Mackinac this is the place to stay!

We stayed in room three which had two queen beds. We did not experience the specialty rooms. The rooms were clean but small. The breakfast was served in a very small room in front however the breakfast was more than enjoyable. Standard continental breakfast including cereal, muffins, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, orange juice, milk, yogurt, and of course coffee. The window of the room is next to the door facing the walkway which I do not like. It was also strange that the ice machine was simply sitting behind the hotel. Despite these few obstacles the location is magnificent the views are amazing and I didn't even get to swim in the wonderful pool. I would go back.

Been staying here for years. Great "mom and pop" motel with nice decor, clean and friendly vibe. Bill and Bonnie the owners do a great job. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We stay in in this nice hotel four days. It's small and cozy with a nice landscaping, room was clean. The light in the bathroom was not too bright, I didn't like that. Breakfast was great continental but coffee wasn't good. We liked to walk to all the places close by, shops, parks.

The Somewhere in Time room is stunning. Canopy bed with posters of Richard and Elise (for movie buffs like me) … tiffany style lamp, gorgeous bedding and clean! The grounds are impeccable and the flowers are stunning. Heated pool across from the Lighthouse and bridge. Recommend highly!

Clean rooms and a lovely staff! Warm and friendly, much better than a traditional hotel. We really enjoyed our stay!

Exceptionally clean and kept. Always warmly greeted. We have been staying there for several years and always welcomed each year. Highly recommended.

Very cute! The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool temp was great. I enjoyed my stay here. We had the basic room, which was a little tiny, but there were 3 of us in 1 room. I think the size of the room is perfect for 1 to 2 people. I would stay there again.

This hotel offers a friendly and budget conscious way to settle in the Mackinac area for a few days. The great: fantastic location, excellent staff, beautiful grounds. The good: evening wine & cheese, morning breakfast, heated pool, clean rooms. The not so good: all the good things are small or or otherwise leave one wanting. The wine offered in the evening was cheap wine available in any convenience store. The breakfast was served in a very small room and lacked selection & variety. The pool was closed early in the evening and not opened until late in the morning, so we never had time to enjoy it since we wanted to be out and about during the day. The room was fine, but had dated decor and offered no amenities like a fridge, in room coffee, or easy phone charging. All in all, I would stay again if I needed to save money, but not if I wanted a top up north experience.

This is the place we always stay if we are staying in Mackinaw. Owners are very pleasant, rooms are comfortable. There is a continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the evenings. They also have a heated pool. Another reason we enjoy it is the beach and the walking area are right across the street. We prefer the smaller places instead of the big chains. It's worth checking out.

We were traveling on a motorcycle and a big storm was coming in the day we were suppose to leave. We decided to stay another night instead of traveling in the storm. Or room we were in wasn't available for an extra night so we had to change rooms. The housekeeper moved all our bags, helmets, saddle bags & riding gear for us while we went out exploring the town. I enjoyed staying in another room and experiencing a different theme! It's a very romantic inn!

We would most definitely go back again and again! Clean, carefully decorated rooms! Not fancy but don't need that :) and the total price for two nights was $194! And the location was amazing! Our room had a poster from the movie including wicker chairs. Its an older hotel and the rooms are smaller than newer hotels but more than makes up for it in charm. Earlier this month, my wife and I traveled to Michigan to celebrate a family wedding. During our stay, we visited Mackinac Island and happened to stay at the American Boutique Inn in Mackinaw City. Good service, clean rooms and very nice views. I would have given 5 of 5 if I hadn't seen a cat in the lobby when we were checking in. But still a very nice experience, we would stay again.

We had a lovely stay. The room was super clean & cozy. It was close to the main attractions. Continental breakfast was great. We were pleasantly surprised.

I called to try to book a room here because it sounded adorable — I have 3 small kids who usually sleep in bed. I was informed that we could not be given the king size room. When I inquired why I was met with quite a surprising attitude that they "have rules" and won't "allow that many ppl in a king size room" I'm sure this hotel is great, but the customer service I experienced means I will never book here. I much nicer reply would've resulted differently. First impressions are everything.

Great place to stay, close to attractions and very relaxing. Rooms were in very clean order. Staff was very polite and professional. Nice clean pool and the grounds were very nice.

Its location is perfect! You can see the bridge from their yard, the beach is right across the street, the yard is beautifully laid out, the staff is very friendly, a heated pool, and the rooms have beautiful themes, they are a little small but for the price I loved this hotel! Plan to go back next year! :)

The staff is exceptional and took care of all our needs. The rooms were very clean. Great attention to detail. They even gave us discounts on our ferry boat ride and helped with ground transportation. Best sleep of our trip! Thanks again American Boutique Inn… we will definitely be back. Doug and Sandy.

Tiny rooms, cleanish though. My grandparents love it because it's dirt cheap. Other than the price that's all it has going dor it.
