Moved three times in three nights due to maintenance issues. Fridge, then door lock, then AC. The young guy behind the counter the first two nights never apologized and acted like he was doing me a favor. The lady the third night was very pleasant, apologetic, and proactive. Overall decent, but in need of a remodel. Minor damage throughout, and mattresses past their prime. Bargain for work-travel or passing through.

We were basically only here to sleep for the night as we checked in, dropped our stuff in the room, then went downtown for a birthday party. The hotel including the lobby, rooms, and furniture could use some updating, but it served its purpose as a place for us to sleep after being out all night. We rented 3 rooms, and all 3 air conditioning units seemed to be struggling to cool the rooms. The air was kinda musty. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean, but I probably wouldn't want to stay here more than a couple nights at most. Not awful, but not great.

Decent beds, clean. Pricy for the quality offered. Feels like a $70 a night room. Wi-Fi is typically dial up speeds (measured 60kbps) if it connects at all. Water pressure lacking, temperature inconsistent. House keeping does not vacuum floors or empty garbage in rooms when staying multiple nights, just changes sheets and towels as far as I can tell. The location is great, easy access to downtown in many activities in the area. The rooms are a little outdated and there's an odd sweat smells that persists throughout the building. My biggest complaint is that the air conditioning doesn't ever get the room actually cool down, it's 90 degrees here this weekend and the room is still quite hot. But overall the staff seems friendly the hotel is clean and I'm overall satisfied with my experience.

It's a 2 star hotel. Not much to say. The room cleaning is supposed to happen daily. That is hit or miss. The breakfast is not good and the exact same thing served everyday. And there are a few people on the staff that are very rude for no reason at all. The rooms are fine. My stay was okay. You get what you pay for.

We got as great deal on this hotel so it was perfect. Complimentary breakfast, nice TV and desk in the rooms, beds are comfy, and they provide free cookies/candy at check-in. AC is solid and they provide a medium frisge and microwave in each room. Bathrooms are super small, so I gave them 4 stars.

Decent stay. It was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Slightly pricy especially for the location, which isn't best or exciting. The drink vending machines did not work on 3 floors, that was annoying.

Desk people were super nice. The one lady even made cookies and helped me look for some tea. Made the visit pretty nice. Only issue was the keycards couldn't work on some of the doors to get back in so you'd have to walk to the front of the building.

For the price, can't expect much. Provided us a bed, shower, and food in the morning. Front desk staff was very nice, no issues when checking in or with questions we had during our stay. Only there last minute for one night so was sufficient, and better than driving in horrible weather. Room was a little beat up, dead flies in the window sill but again, kept us safe for the night for a cheap price.

DO NOT! Unporofessional staff. Charged me twice for staying one night. And when I came to clarify the situation. They focused more on playing and joking about inside jokes They had. They told me to speak with the manager but. They never answer the fone. Would strongly advice not to stay here side doors don't lock with room key so anyone cam come in and out. Not a great location.

I walked down to book a room on 3/24/18 because my reservations at the hotel next door didn’t work out. Alisha (not sure of spelling) was working the front desk. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered. She asked to run my card and I asked if it would be charged upon check out. She said, it would be charged then. I asked for a ground floor room & asked see the room first to ensure it was cleaned before running my card (I know, a big request but I’ve been burnt before) She was annoyed and then headed to floor 2. I asked her why we were going to floor 2 if I was booked for a ground room, she said, it’s just to show me that it was clean. I said it defeated the purpose of showing me the room I was Going to be in. Needless to say her attitude went from bad to Worse and I decided it wasn’t worth the $130 to stay.

A room is a room an these rooms are completely fine, but the customer service was some of the worst I've experienced. Alisha was honestly the least helpful person I could have imagined. There was a mix up with rooms and when we showed her we had two rooms reserved and the system only showed one, she stared at us like we were idiots. Only after 5 minutes of her being unhelpful and saying we only have one room, she said we could call their customer support line. That wasn't very helpful either. Overall, extremely poor experience.

I work 3rd shift and I informed the staff that I did not want to be bothered during my stay I was interrupted 3 times within an hour of getting there and was asked to leave because I smelled like marijuana. I am a legal patient who uses medical marijuana and informed the manager Nichole Dushane that I do and I would Not use it on the premises. She stated that I was fine just smoke by the picnic table (which I didn’t) she charged my credit card for the night and I did nothing wrong at all except try to sleep!

This hotel is fine for the times I get stuck in Kalamazoo snow storms. It's no luxury hotel, but it's good for a nights stay. Had an issue with no heat, which the manager took care of. The breakfast is ok, if you want a quick hotel lobby type bite. Yogurt, cereal, bread selections, waffles, juice etc and the rooms have a decent size refrigerator and microwave. My biggest issue is there not being outlets by the bed to charge my phone. But overall it's a good place to stay.

We came here after a brief, nightmarish stay at the nearby Super 8. Compared to that place, this was a haven, a 5 star resort. Most of the review that follows will be from a perspective of already seeing the lowest of the lows, so if you're used to Hiltons and Marriotts, please keep that fact in mind. The Baymont was a bright light in a dark cave. The staff member at the counter was very friendly and got us a room right away. The elevator worked and got us all the way to our floor smoothly (I realize that shouldn't be something to mention but trust me it is). Right as we walked in we noticed the leg of a table sitting on the bathroom counter; the table was further in the room on its side. Immediately we went down to the front desk to inform them so we wouldn't get charged, they acknowledged the issue and hopefully it won't come back to haunt us (will update if it does). The room was clean and had all the amenities: HDTV, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot, clean towels, etc. The bed was pretty comfy and had plenty of pillows. It wasn't a jaw dropping experience, but unlike the Super 8 there were no cigarette burns in the comforter… Free breakfast was still fully stocked the Friday morning before it closed. They had biscuits and gravy, small omelettes, a waffle maker, oatmeal, juice of all kinds, hardboiled eggs, cereal, individually packaged milks, and tons of baked goods including muffins and toast. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the breakfast.

Breakfast is delicious, pillows are some of the most comfortable we've had, and rooms are pretty quiet. Shower head is terrible, single stream, and there is very, very little separation between too hot and too cold.

Very unsatisfied, this hotel is by far the worst ever! Everything was great up until this morning when I checked my bank account and noticed I had a $50 charge because they apparently had to deep clean and fumigate the room I stayed in due to diapers in the garbage in which it did not smell in there when I left so god only knows how long the garbage sat in that room before they cleaned it, also accused my son of breaking Christmas lights they had on their fire place when my son never went near the fire place. Next time I'll remember to take my trash with me so I don't get charged for using the garbage cans in the room. Oh and it is also illegal to move the furniture according to the manager…

The manager Nicole was a complete nightmare was rude and looked like she had just rolled out of bed herself. She seemed to treat not only myself but other guests like they were an inconvenience to her. Would never recommend anybody stay there while she's employed. The rest of the staff was awesome.

Perfect stay, of course you're not getting a 5* resort, but they're the best of the 3* hotel chains. I have 0 complaints. Great staff, comfy beds, comfy clean rooms. It's quiet but at a great location right next to the hwy and easy access to main roads. The oh so reasonable prices means they're my first choice every time I get stuck in stupid michigan.

Overall the rooms are a little rundown. There were stains on the chairs and the drapes had seen better days. Our first room had a stink bug infestation. I counted at least 10 crawling on the drapes. When I told the front desk, they immediately switched our room. The second room looked a little nicer. However it was damp and humid because someone had left the window open and it was rainy. We closed the window hoping the room would dry out. It never did. The carpet felt damp and gross. The last morning we were there I found another stink bug! It was crawling on the arm of the chair I'd just finished nursing my baby in! It was disgusting. I don't even want to think about how many more I didn't find. Housekeeping was spotty. No one cleaned our room Saturday. I didn't call to complain because I had a hungry and tired baby who needed to go to sleep. Sunday housekeeping did come, but didn't make the bed. She also left a note because the hotel was out of clean bath towels. I called the next morning and some were brought up right away. Breakfast was decent on weekend. There were eggs, sausage links and biscuits and gravy every day along with fruit, pastries, cereal and yogurt. Monday morning I got a cup of coffee from the large carafe and it was cold. Not lukewarm — cold. How long does coffee have to sit in one of those giant carafes before it gets cold? I should also mention that it was 6:50 and breakfast started at 6.

Nice budget friendly option near Kalamazoo. Room was clean. Elevator is slow. Staff was nice and greeted us every time we passed someone.

Disappointing visit. The entire hotel had a musty smell and was very damp. The room was quite small. There was damage to the washroom door that was repaired with an unsightly fix. There was also a large patch in the bathtub. The room was sticky and the air conditioner barely worked at full blast. We will most definitely not stay again.

It was clean. A little dated. Breakfast was good, but it was busy! They were super great and got our rooms cleaned so we could check in before the 3 o'clock wedding we were attending. I would stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable so that I was able to have a great sleep. Also the towels were nice and soft. A lot of other places we stayed the towels were thin and didn't feel good on my skin.

Cheap room, but should have been cheaper. They are remodeling and everything was a mess. TV's didn't work. Free breakfast didn't have bacon.

I'm not a road warrior, but I've stayed in my fair share of hotels. This was awful. I could have excused the 20 minute wait to check in. I could excuse the communication difficulties with the front desk. I could even have excused the fact that their pool wasn't open and looked like something the ninja turtles would crawl out of (wasn't planning on swimming). First off, room keys didn't work (many in our group experienced the same problem). This was corrected, slowly, but in any case we arrived in the room, and there wasn't a single towel. Upon calling the desk, we were informed that if we waited 20 minutes we could come down and pick them up. I was surprised, and asked if he could have someone bring them up to us. He didn't have anyone on staff to help. I'm somewhat surprised that a summer Saturday night there is no additional staff outside of a lone front desk clerk. So we did, and were given one towel each with an extra hand towel to use as a bathmat (which we had to request), nothing more. He said he couldn't spare anything else. Additionally, there was a huge crack in the shower surround, the pullout couch we had to use was just flipped open with it's parts/cushions strewn about the room, and half of the lighting fixtures in the room didn't work. Icing on the cake, when someone from our group knocked on the door, I attempted to look through the peep hole only to find a cutoff end of a used cotton swab in the viewing hole.

Very poor condition of rooms. The breakfast was very poor. Did not keep food warm and did not refill the food trays when empty. Was more interested but in keeping the tables washed then having food for the people. The bathroom was filthy. Had to ask for towels the second day. Room key quit working the second day and had to ask to set it. Pool? Pool was green and wasnt opened. Very poor. Beds wasn't clean or comfortable.

Absolutely the worst service ever. Paying for a room for my employees was extremely difficult. Farris, the district manager hung up on me and put all follow up calls to voice mail. It was like dealing with a 12 year old. The corporate office, A&M Hospitality, would not return calls. I left a message for Malik, one of the owners, who never responded. Apparently they don't care about the customer experience.

It was a nice place to stay. Staff was friendly the service was good and I couldnt beat the price for quality I would definately stay there again.
