AC was not working and room (232) smelled like cigarette smoke. Called the front desk and reported the situation and was told there was no room available to switch to. Was too late/too tired to leave and go to another hotel after driving 13 hours. It was the most uncomfortable hotel stay. To top it off, when I mentioned it to the morning receptionist, her exact words were “I saw the note from the night staff and I will mention it to maintenance”. No compassion or apology (even a fake one). Action and tone of voice gave the impression that she does not care at all and don’t want to hear it. Definitely a hotel to avoid in Rockford.

Room was nice and clean, but small. Most of staff was kind. 2 stars because days inn literally has a sign up that says no smoking within 15 feet of doors and staff lady was smoking in front of door everytime we left and arrived. Like leaning on garbage can smoking right next to door… just very unprofessional.

Very friendly people at the front desk! Rooms look great with hardwood floors and brick accent walls! Breakfast wasn't the greatest but still delicious for what was provided.

My son and I have been here a week. The staff are all excellent! The rooms are very up to date and clean. If you have Wyndham rewards its inexpensive. I really cant say enough great things about the Days Inn in Rockford.

Great hotel for the price. I stayed here a year ago when they were pretty heavy into renovations and it was a nice day then so I decided to try it out again this year while in town. The renovations look great the rooms are nice and clean the beds are clean and comfy. It smells great I can tell they have been putting a lot of effort and keeping smoke out of the hotel because I did not smell smoke at all. Air conditioning works great! Very friendly staff and I’m looking forward to breakfast in the morning.

Stayed here on 3-17. Only needed one night. I'm normally a Marriott person but an event was going on so all the chain brands were booked. Was leery at first due to the price ($50), star rating (2 star) and reviews. Turned out ok-had a "loft feel"; hardwood floors, brick wall. No microwave or ice maker in room or on the floor (there is one in the main lobby). Queen 1 bed was very small but doable for 2 ppl-bed was comfortable. Passed on Breakfast (small area and small selection). Only issues — when I checked in — a gentleman had a complaint about his room (someone being in it/key not working) and there was only one girl at the front desk on a Sat (with a convention in town) — that had to check people in and handle situations (she was obviously a bit overwhelmed, and him recommending she call police or handle it made me wonder about security). Air conditioner in room didn't work-but it was cool outside so we opened the window. Fridge didn't get cold-. Also pet friendly so you may hear random barking. Also under construction. Overall good for one night maybe 2.

12 inch gap in bottom of door. Cheap wood floors no carpet. Door didnt fit could see right into hallway. Cheap remold job. Old heat barely worked no a/c! Expected more. Very disappointed.

Ive had a great experience here, stayed here a few nights over a couple week span and had no issues. Place is clean, not buggy, and cozy. Breakfast, is minimalistic, but at least there's a breakfast. Water temp is a little iffy, it tends to fluctuate quite a bit between as cold as your ex's heart and as hot as the fiery depths of hell. Its quiet, not much going on, definitely a cozy place.

Not a bad stay here at all. Decent older style room but very warm and comfy with full amenities.

They never told me the place was under construction. Hearing saws pounding throughout the whole building all day; Also the host at front desk the morning of check-in was very rude. The lady first tells me around 10 that its 25 dollars for early check in, then around 11 said there were no rooms. She also said no rooms had been cleaned during the hours of 10 and 1pm. I don't recommend this place due to the simple fact that I was never informed of construction during the time of reservation.

We stayed here last night and had a great stay. Staff was all very friendly, room was clean and warm. Looks as though they are doing some updating. Sure it is an older motel but we had no problems. We would highly recommend this as a go to place to stay.

Decent stay, and cheap. Room was just fine and there was a basic breakfast. Fire alarm went off like four times during the night though.

The walls are paper thin you can hear the other guest going in and out all night. I don't expect the room to be sound proof, but I don't need to hear everything going on around me either. Or when their in the hall. Some of the staff was friendly and some not so much. The decor is all right, but the wood floors in winter are slippery when they get wet! It was okay for one night tolerable but if I had to stay more then that at Rockford I don't think I could recommend this hotel. I didn't get much sleep. Between the noise and the bed being as hard as a rock.

I have stayed at this location several times. It's easily accessible from the highway and affordable. Sometimes it can be a little noisy from the night crew trying to clean up at night. Overall a nice place for the price. And the front desk help (heather) very good with handling people.

Wow! Alright, so you're going to respond with "we definitely don't have a bedbug infestation" when I've read through the reviews and I'm not the only one who complained! I could have said more but I was trying to be nice and make you aware of the issue and they do spread easily. They might not be bad right now in other rooms but there will definitely be more where that came from. And clean that puke looking stain on the carpet. There was a nasty old French fry sitting in the sink and I would not take a bath in that bathtub. The ONLY good thing I have to say about days inn is the beds are comfortable (minus bedbugs) and pillows were nice. But people if you're thinking of getting a hotel I would NOT recommend days inn. We went to motel 6 and had a much better experience. No bugs, cleaner rooms, nice big tv, microwave, refrigerater… It was just way nicer there. I wasn't bitten once. Safe to say there are cheap places that are decent in Rockford. Just read the reviews. If I could've given days inn 0 stars I would've. This is a terrible place and we will never stay here again. Me and my significant other booked a smoking room, I believe it was room 234 or 235? Can't remember exactly. Anyway, it wasn't the cleanest room, and our blanket had a burn hole in it. There was no microwave or refrigerater, these things weren't such a big deal to me. The BED BUGS, however, were a big deal, and ate us up in the night.

Unfortunately, I checked in late and left early… but what I was there for was fine. The check-in clerk was very nice and helpful. Room was comfortable, could've maybe used a couple more pillows on each bed. I volunteer for the Red Cross, and they worked with my supervisor to take his expense card for payment.

What a friedly, clean, pleasant place to stay. We only stayed 1 might but would recommend to others.

Staff was very friendly, but that's about the only good part. The bed was bouncy and hard, not comfortable. The AC unit was intermittently very loud. Bathroom was cramped. Breakfast was poor, there were some spoiled oranges in the fruit basket. It's not a terrible hotel, it's simply that for the money, it was not worth it. We paid $10 more per night at a different hotel the following night and got a much much better room, cleaner, more comfortable and a huge bathroom, with a solid breakfast.

My room seemed to be fine and the staff is pretty helpful. Although the first night when we arrived late one of my teammates' room was completely wrecked, not cleaned at all. They got a new room but they had plenty of time to prepare them for us, not really any excuses for that. All in all breakfast wasnt too bad and overall stay was as expected for the most part.

Stayed here when my car broke down. Affordable. Convenient. Nice staff. Clean. Tiny bathroom, tiny toilet. No fridge in the room.

The hotel is a short drive from many restaurants and there are a two gas stations right next to it. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are pretty small and decent in terms of cleanliness. The hotel itself is kind of rundown because it's old and hardly ever updated. Because the cost of the hotel is so cheap some of the other tenants seemed a bit sketchy but not dangerous.

Came with a group for a two day ultimate frisbee tournament. Firstly, one of the rooms wasn't ready when we got there so we had to settle that. Then the room that I ended up staying at was not cleaned very well also out of date and deteriorating.

It was conviently located right off the interstate. The rooms have been newly remodeled and really had the feel off a swanky New York hotel. The beds were a little more firm than I care for but still comfortable. The only complaint was the noise levels. The walls are thin so I was able to hear every little sound from the rooms around us and guests in the hall. Despite this I would recommend this hotel for overnight stays. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and they serve a continental breakfast.

The rooms are clean and quite the staff was extremely helpful on all shifts especially Jaci. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Bedbugs with waste experience. They gave me different room, however, it my request of treating my stuff was driving.

It's and older Days Inn, the room was old, small and worn. No fridge or microwave and I have stayed at other DI for far less that include this. Loudmouth and obnoxious South Carolinas, drunk and annoying staying next to me. This hotel needs a serious update and renovation. A/C works well though.

Easy check in and friendly front desk representative but my room was not clean, fan in the bathroom not working, broken furniture in the room.

To the best qualities any hotel can have: clean and affordable. Simple logic.

I would give this hotel zero stars if possible. The whole place smells of cigarettes and there are burn marks on the blankets. This place should be closed down. Do not stay here.

The beds were quite terrible. Room was clean. No soap with sink. Uncomfortable toilet area in bathroom. Building looks kind of shady. Rating 3 stars as it was acceptable for the low price.

Went to the first room they gave us and it smelled like pee really strong odor of it so they gave us a different room the other room was ok besides the fact that the first room had a microwave this room does not TV programming sucks no movie channel and cant rent movies the beds are small thought they were going to be queen size they full size there was bugs in the window not roaches but saptree bugs the bathroom is extremely small I do not recommend this place I would say you get what you pay for but this is not the case.

So many bad things, I don't know where to begin. The beds were harder than the floor. All the bedding was covered in multiple cigarette burn holes. There were weird painted spots all over the ceiling. The bathroom was so small you couldn't even change your clothes in it. On the way back to the room after breakfast a housekeeper was throwing towels out of a room without looking and hit my son with one. She didn't apologize or even acknowledge it happened, just went right back to throwing towels. To get the phone to even work you have to pay a $10 fee, so in case of an emergency and you need to dial 911 you are out of luck if your cell phone is dead. And on top of all else there was what appeared to be prostitutes and drug deals going on the in parking lot at night. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay there again.
