Great customer service by the front desk employees. They have a litte store with food and toiletry items for sale, very reasonable prices. The merchandise is cheaper than the gas station across the street. Location is great, within walking distance to Walmart, Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

I had 250 misc charges for something I did not do. After I was told it would be dropped there was an extra 75 added along with those charges not being taken off.

The hotel room is nice and clean. No room service and I was there 3 nights. They stuck next to the check in counter.

Not much of a suite as the name suggests. Just bigger rooms with a kitchenette. They do not give a breakfast. Little cramped up hotel, not too happy!

Very nice extended stay hotel. We got everything we expected from a Candlewood. No oven unfortunately, but they always have appliance rentals and also allow you to check out books and movies which is really nice. Friendly staff, small fitness area with treadmill, elliptical, and bike, and the standard cupboard area for buying convenience items. One thing I thought was really thoughtful was having the laundry room and cupboard together and they also had a pet walking area for anybody bringing a dog with them. Nice place to stay at a decent price.

We both woke up congested, and my face and skin were irritated in the morning. The night before, I used the bath towel to clean carefully around my eyes — no makeup was worn, nor any products used to clean my face — and they were extremely red in the morning and took hours to clear up.

Clean, and the AC was super cold. I liked staying here.

Clean fresh rooms, quiet and comfortable. New manager is going to update front doors in summer. Entire staff is awesome!

My room was still dirty from last ppl that stayed there n the customer service is awful and very disrespectful. The manager seemed like he just didnt care bout my room still being dirty. I talked to director of operations and he was a douche as well. There are much better places to stay in rockford for a better price too. Wont be goin back.

Clean well appointed rooms at a fair price is why I stay at CandleWood Suites. The Rockford location lives up to my expectations of the chain and then some. Very pleasant, friendly, hopeful staff. Only downside is parking is limited and the lot needs maintenance.

First opinions are less than stellar. The entry is a set of two narrow doors set at right angles to each other and difficult to negotiate not to mention very hard to open. This is definitely a no frills property. No breakfast and a bed jammed up against the wall — about 12 inches of room; and very hard. No electrical outlet or light on the wall side of the bed. I'll not stay at this property at anytime in the future. For the money there are much better locations!

Great hotel with all the amenities you can think of. Greeted with fresh cookies and a clean room with a already turned on refrigerator and running air conditioner. Appreciate the service!

An okay hotel for the price. Beds aren't the most comfortable and we generally stay elsewhere when we have the kids with us. It's not that it's a bad place to stay, so much as there are better places.

The GM lady is rude. I simply asked to switch out a couch that smelled like urine, nothing more and it took two day to do some. My family slept with windows open and my daughter slept on the floor. Ever sense then every time I see her I get nasty looks, attitude. I simply dont like her. And it doesnt help the fact that she charges us other charges when a coworker stayed the same amount of time and his bill was less. (He was not taxed) The rest of the staff is nice the room is nice.

I am not one for confrontation, bad reviews, or requesting ANYTHING for free. That being said, I had enjoyed my first week of my 3 week stay here in Rockford at the Candlewood Suites. I was given an excellent rate of $52 a night for the duration of my stay (REGULAR $72). I initially went to the Radisson upon my arrival and was offered $95 a night but was directed to Candlewood since they do not book people for more than 14 days. All other places in the area had no availability for my stay either so I had no choice but candlewood. The room looked clean, the bed was comfortable, and the receptionists were awesome. 1st week of staying, there was a smell that I couldn't quite put my finger on. But after being in the room for a bit it went away. The 2nd week the scent got a little stronger. But I still couldn't pinpoint it. I had just bought some beard oil (first time using the stuff), so I figured it was the beard oil. No scent the following day, until the weekend. The moment I went into the room on friday, I was hit by the scent of unmistakable sewage. So much that I could not sit in the room for long at all due to my stomach starting to feel sick. Relations called the gm and She said, in a rude inconvenienced tone, "What do you want to do? I have another room". I then reluctantly replied "I'll take a look". The GM came up to my floor to show me a new room. She didn't ask me any questions nor did she check the room to see what I was dealing with.

It was a nice place to stay after a long day. They give you glasses, dishes, and anything else that you could possibly need. Which was nice. The room was clean and smelled good. They don't have rooms with queen beds and only do king beds. I would stay there again.

The rooms are good, but when someone decides to cook in their room be warned the stink filters into your room and lingers through out the hallway, I had someone cooking garlic and butter in stank my room out I complained and all they did was move me to another floor, And guess what that stank to, No ventelation on the floors what so ever! I bought deoderisers for my room but to little effect, I wont stay here again and woud warn everyone else if you do not mind your clothes and personal belongings stinking of other peoples cooking then this is the hotel for you.

Travel here often for business very affordable clean and nice! Would recommend to all.
