I don't understand these people with low ratings. I'm staying at this location right now, and I have to say, the ladies at the front desk were extremely nice, and my room was very clean. My bed is extremely comfortable and clean. I've checked under the sheets after reading some of the reviews, and the mattress and sheets are extremely clean. I will be staying here anytime I come to Pekin. Keep up the good work.

MOST of the 5 star reviews look like they're made up by the manager or her friends because the truth is in the lower star reviews having worked with these people. Kitty is a rude person in general. She needs better personal skills the other coworkers seem great. The hotel is decent it does need updated in areas it does smell musty through out the hotel. All in all 1.5 stars.

When we called to reserve our room, we made it very clear we couldnt be in a pet friendly room because my son has hugh allergies to pet dander and fleas bites. When we woke up this morning my son was covered and has gotten cellulitis from 2 of the bites. I stripped the bed only to find BUGS as Well under the sheets. I had to take him to the Hospital to be put on a antibiotic, it's actually deadly when it gets in the blood stream. Ok, so I went to speak with the manger Kitty she was extremely rude didn't care what I had to say, said oh well I guess I call orkin. You guess?. First thing I asked was if our room had pets in it, she said yes it's a $100 deposit cash or credit the first day we was there, we stayed 2 days. That's not why I asked, when I explained very brief because she cut me off, told us to get off the property, she called the cops because she knew she was wrong and didnt care about a child getting a very deadly infection. Well when we got into our room it was dirty used shampoo bottle trash hadn't been taken out. Had dirt and hair all over the beds under the blanket and pull over sheets this was both beds. The pool was the color of algae green, and was very hot tempture. Kids was bummed as it was a hot day, the water wasn't even a little chilled.

I am highly impressed with the manager's commitment to cleanliness. There is plenty of parking for large vehicles in nearby lots.

Cons Slept from 2 am to 6:15 am. Constant slamming doors and people stomping up and down the stairs. First thing in the morning the cleaning staff were up and down the hall talking loudly to others. One cleaning person was talking to someone about all of her Dr appointments. All of these things were heard from laying in the bed trying to catch a few more winks of sleep (didn’t happen). Vacuuming the halls and banging the vacuum up against the walls and doors. Pros Room was nice and clean and cable was real cable instead of 10-20 channels that normal people don’t care about.

One of the best "free breakfasts" I have had! Really liked the make your own waffle station and biscuits and gravy! Staff was also very nice.

If I could I would give them no stars! When checking in the clerk asked for my drivers license, after giving it to him he then proceeds to basically accuse me of having a fake id because I don’t look like I do in my photo. He wanted to try and keep my id when the printer jammed and said he would bring it up to my room later all after spending several moments questioning me on my id and if it was really mine. People’s looks change over time and it’s not like they take a new picture for you drivers license every year. Then they put us in a room on the second floor after being asked if handicap accessible for my father who has trouble climbing stairs walks with a cane and suffers from Parkinson’s, which they aren’t handicap accessible. After carefully navigating the stairwell we get to our room which obviously has someone else staying in the room for the night. Tv on, beds unmade, dirty towels all over the room, and plates with food on them on the table in the corner of the room, and a do not disturb tag on the door. We got lucky they must have stepped out for a moment when we went in or it could have been a really bad situation. The front desk worker didn’t seem to want to believe me at first when I told him of the status of the room until I showed him the photos I snapped real quick before we left the room. Ended up leaving and finding a different hotel for the night.

We were not pleased. After making a reservation and asking for a 1st floor, non smoking room, receiving confirmation… we arrived, two seniors with two grandchildren… one 18 mos. To learn that we were on the second floor in smoking where they rent rooms to travelers with pets. There was absolutely NO compensation. We were told we could go somewhere else. From this point on, that's exactly what we'll do… go someplace else.

The condition of the hotel isn't bad for a Super 8 but I spent several hours locked out of the building at night because the overnight clerk called in sick and rather than find someone to cover they locked the building down so no one could get inside. No refund was offered by management nor any other offer of compensation. Update: Upon checkout the manager comped the stay for both rooms I had rented. Hopefully this type of issue will not happen again.

Great rooms, great rate, and a friendly staff. My new place to stay when in Pekin.

Functional and affordable. The beds were surprisingly comfortable.

Called to make sure they had a ground floor room and accepted pets, got there and was told ALL pet rooms were upstairs. My father is handicapped and I have severe balance problems, but we had my husky, we were told that we could have a ground floor room but would have to pay $100 for having a pet in a nonpet room. They're discriminating, saying handicapped people can't have just pets, it has to be a service dog. I understand that some motels don't allow PETS, but when you allow them but only if you navigate stairs. We've been to TONS of motels with our pets and never came upon this policy with management making zero accommodations.

I Manage & work Happily at this hotel for 3 years. Like every hotel, there are good guest, & problematic guests. I try very hard to keep our hotel clean, comfortable, & safe for all of our guests. It is an absolute pleasure working for Wyndham, & meeting all the wonderful travelers, that bless our door step! Please know that all of us here at Pekin Super8, are here for you. I wish it was a zero for this stay! This racist ass hotel accused my very known dance team of girls ages 7-17 of weed smoke! We were stereo typed from the jump, Not only have a NEVER smoked weed in my life I was accused of, I’m a ER tech in thee best hospital of Chicago, on top of owing a dance team I’m highly respected. They seem hard off on money and found every reason to hold the deposit, I will write a review EVERY DAY to warn people do not stay here, I should have beat his ass for how he was talking to me but because of my team I didn’t, however when police arrived they were very nice and told me to call corporate and write reviews because this slum hotel is very known for poor service and he’s called pretty frequently for the same complaint I had! Do Not book this hotel or its a RISK your taking, I stay in hotels all the time and have NEVER had any problems until I stayed at this dump! As I read the reviews I see I’m not the only one that was accused of smoke seem like this is habit of the hotel, please put me on the do not rent list because I will never stay in such a dump again! As u can see their rude read the comments under the bad reviews! Rude, nasty and racist give all super 8 a bad name.

Me and my dance team was racially profiled stating that we were smoking weed (the girls are all under 12yrs old) just so they can keep our cash deposit.

Our company reserved 4 rooms for 2 months. On the second week, one of the rooms had bed bugs we complained and they change us rooms. On the following Monday when we checked in, they told us that one of the guys in our group was put on the no rent list by the manager Kitty Patterson. I talk to her and she was really rude and told us that we had brought the bed bugs. I asked for a phone number of the owner or HQ and she refused to give it to me. Our company spends about $80.000 dollars a year on hotels, most of that money on Super 8 motels. The way we were treated I don't think we're going to be staying in super 8 motels anymore.

Decent hotel when needing a cheap place to stay. Pool is small but was perfect for our stay.

We used the lobby for a birthday gathering and then had a swimming party everything was great room was nice. We will do it again.

Nothing fancy but neat and clean. Not a vacation resort but economical overnight stay.

Stay here when working in Pekin. Have wyndham rewards and try to stay at wyndham property if possible. Have enjoyed stays here. Rooms very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. They do have an indoor pool which is nice. Breakfast area well organized and coffee is fresh. Several nice restaurants in area. Avanti's restaurant is just across the parking lot and is well rated on Yelp. Walmart few minutes away. A good value for your dollar.

Place was very old and many of the doors, hallways, stairs, and even key car access places were very well worn and the service was decent at best. Very expensive for what you pay for. Not horrible but not ideal. It gets the job done and nothing more.

Acomadateing, friendly helpful,, good rates. Clean through out by staff that is great. Manager Kitty is outstanding. Would recommend. Plus can earn points on WYNDHAM Rewards.

I was at Avanti next door but the exterior of the building and the lot were in great shape.

SCAM hotel! I stayed at this hotel one night (reservation through Expedia) and they double charged me for the stay. I get that, accidents happen. HOWEVER, instead of reversing that duplicate charge, they charged me AGAIN for the same room! That means they got 3 times for 1 night. Then they blamed their "system" for failing to be able to find the charges to reverse! Yeah, stay at your own risk here.

Bed was disgusting. Cigarette burns on the sheets and the hardest mattress I've ever slept on. When the air kicks on it pumps the room with a moldy musty smell. Never again.

The table provided in the room was not only wobbly but ready to collapse as were the two chairs supplied in the room. The entry into the hotel sported a classic nursing home smell that lingered.
