This place is super nice and the rooms are very clean.

We had a WONDERFUL stay at Cornerstone Inn. It was a beautifully remodeled old, historic bank building with a rich history that includes Abraham Lincoln. It is right on the cute Washington town square and we enjoyed shopping, a massage at a massage salon on the square, and delicious food at the bakery and and Denhart's bakery/cafe located in the same building as the Inn. The Inn was very recently remodeled and so they are still working out a few kinks, but we really enjoyed our stay regardless. The rooms have a calm, modern, homey feel to them. The innkeeper was welcoming. There is also a dinner restaurant on-site called "The Blacksmith" (it was very nice) — we only had drinks as we weren't around for dinner, but really enjoyed it.

Unique property that takes advantage of the history of the building. Rooms are comfortable and have lots of eye candy to look at. Breakfast was great. Gathering room was super for meeting with friends. Innkeeper, Christine, was super. We can't wait to return!

I stayed at the Cornerstone Inn for two nights in January when visiting friends in Washington. The building is interesting — an old bank. I had a room that was called something like the Glimpse of Heaven, which was very nice, cute decoration. I had my own little Christmas tree. The room was comfortable and clean. The inn does not offer coffee makers in the room, but there is a little kitchen down the hall to make coffee, cocoa, etc. The manager was very welcoming and helpful. I had breakfast downstairs at their restaurant. We had a party of six and everyone was happy with their food. The location is also very good, being right downtown on the square. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a place to stay in Washington.

Don't miss this gem. The building was recently renovated to its original historic appearance. It is clean and comfortable with modern appointments. There is a nice restaurant on ground floor, pub in the basement, great baked goods, friendly and attentive staff, very reasonable pricing. What more could anyone ask? Thank you to the owners for caring enough to keep this treasure.
