First let me say the hotel is nice. Room is clean and functional. Hotel staff is very friendly. HOWEVER, on Sunday day night September 4, 2022, a female pit boss in the casino that goes by MJ, blatantly discriminated against me. I am legally blind. My wife and I were playing a table game, high card flush, with another gentleman. MJ stood by the table watching us play from the moment we sat down at the table. MJ also watched as my wife was leaning over to see my cards to tell me what my cards were because I can’t see them. We have been to this casino multiple times in the past and this was never an issue before. After a few hands, MJ started trying to tell my wife how to play her hand and how to align her cards for the dealer. My wife did this to comply so MJ would stop standing over us. However, MJ still stood by the table watching my wife and I playing this game. Several hands passed and my wife was still telling me what my cards were in front of MJ and she had not said a thing. She then came over and started trying to tell me how to play my hand and that I needed to put my cards in order. She didn’t say “sir” or try to address me directly and I didn’t realize she was talking to me because I can’t see her face well enough. My wife finally looked up to realize MJ was speaking to me as she was looking directly at me not using a name or “sir” or anything and my wife politely said “he doesn’t see well enough to do that”. MJ responded “oh okay” and that was the end of that.

The smell alone was hard to handle, the entire building smelt like a pack of wet dogs were sitting around smoking stale cigarettes, bartender was very unfriendly with very limited options. Meal was good in the little restaurant so that’s why it got 3 ⭐️ versus 1 ⭐️

Clean, nonsmoking casino. The rest rooms are always very clean, too. I would, however, recommend a self serve beverage station so patrons can get a cold drink or a cup of coffee. Most casinos nowadays have these, and they’re very convenient. Y’all have some older, classic Cashman games that are fun, especially Betting Zoo! Good variety of fun games. Lots of “BUFFALOOOOO games, too! 🦬 We enjoy coming here to play, and also to eat at “Bridges”. Always a good meal here!

Everything from the front door up, the most hospitable place I've ever stayed, everything perfect.

Grest place. Great time. Good for beginners, they will help you learn the games.

The slots are great, the casino is clean, and the rooms are comfy. Staff is fantastic, from the desk workers, to security, to the waitresses.

Our experience was absolutely wonderful! “Grammy Kammy” and Ms. Lindsey were the best blackjack dealers! Also, I’m not one to put my personal stuff out there but this can’t go unnoticed! Around 2am I woke up having bad anxiety. Well my Hubbs enjoyed himself downstairs and he was sound asleep so I knew he wasn’t going to wake up. I went downstairs because I knew I needed to just have a friendly conversation with someone! Let me tell y’all, Sylvia was there, she and I have never met before but this woman has a heart of gold. She’d try to just start a simple conversation to help me calm my anxiety. She did not have to be that person, but she was and I am so grateful for her ❤️

We were playing $15 minimum blackjack. Dealer paid out player one hit 21 and then proceeded to swip the other cards by mistake one 19 one 18 was me other player 12. Pit boss was rude and the lady was also a pit boss. We felt gang up on when all we expected was to have are bets paid out and they refused to payout the other players including myself I have experience this before and pit bosses have always did a table Payout. Needless to say I cashed out got my wife from the slots and left. Their loss.

Great casino 🎰 fabulous Day.

The restaurant sucks. My food was raw and when I told my waitress she oh that's how we cook that.

I had a very nice time at the Harris hotel it was very clean and the people were very friendly got in and got out very easily no hassles from nobody I would recommend it to anybody and the beds were very comfortable and the room was very nice I really enjoyed my stay for one night.

Spent the weekend at the hotel and casino for our wedding anniversary. The staff is amazing! I had a blast and the room was very welcoming and had everything we needed. Oh and the bathtub is huge! The best relaxing bubble bath I've had in a while! The king sized bed was super comfy and we slept so well. Thanks for an awesome anniversary weekend!

The employees are all very nice and it's like one big family. It's very clean and the majority of guests are friendly. I drive 2 1/2 hrs each way every weekend. I love it.

Terrible room, moms 82nd birthday suppose to have river view got view of a crummy parking lot. Old depressing room. Very disappointed. Never will go back. Machines are tight as he'll also. Don't recommend staying at Harrahs. AC New Jersey is better and that's not saying much.

Awesome place had a wonderful visit.

Fun local casino with nice accommodations. We had a minor issue with our shower, but they were very apologetic. I found this acceptable since we weren't inconvenienced by it as we could still shower.

The best thing I like about Metropolis is it’s non-smoking. I have lung problems and cigarettes really affect my breathing. Comps are good and staff is nice. It’s a smaller casino, but still enjoyable. It’s right on the river, so nice view from many rooms. I have stayed in regular rooms and suites. The Vegas Suite is my fav. All rooms are nice though.

They really take care of you and the food is great. They pay off very well. Love the view of the river from my room. Bath tub is very nice to soak in. Just like how the staff treats you at this casino everyone is very friendly.

Love this non smoking casino. The buffet is so good and the games are fun. Most dealers are great, especially the black jack tables. They do need a bigger poker room.

Caesars Entertainment is destroying their brand due to the fact did they have reprogrammed their machines to pay winnings on an extremely small percentage of your customers. The lower the payout percentage which you allow to occur, the lower your percentage of return customers will be. Many customers have expressed to me also that there is almost no chance of having any winnings when going to a Caesars Hotel for the purpose of Gaming. I could commentate much more extensively concerning your business model that I will not. I watch to Sears Roebuck and Company went from being the largest retailer in the United States, to being essentially nothing and that is what I am seeing in Caesar entertainment because there's nothing entertaining about it.

Neat experience. Had never been to a casino before. Bring your wallet, that's all I can say. If you're a gambler, this is your place, in our case, it was to so something we'd never done before. It was a good experience, the restaurants are amazing, not cheap though for dinner, but breakfast was much more reasonable. That said, I can see why Bridges is so expensive per plate, the food was incredible, steak melted in your mouth and the portions are quite large. The rooms are nice, but not as nice as I was hoping for at the cost for a night's stay. All in all, a fun time.

This place is okay. The room are not cheap but cleaned as if you were at a motel not a resort. They do charge a resort fee at the end of your stay. Although there is only a small casino with lots of penny machines. We tried to play $5 black jack but there were only 2 tables for that and they had lines the whole time we were there. They also have no pool or place to access the river they are next too. When asking them where the nearest hotel with a pool don't be fooled when they tell you a few hours away. There is a hotel right behind them with better rates, a pool and the rooms don't have mysterious loss pills laying around on the floors. This casino also charges you for your drinks. So be prepared to not only loss money at the casino but also on your not so clean room and the watered down drinks you have to pay for while playing there games that is also not giving any pay outs. All in all I would save your time and just visit the large Superman statue the town has to offer and keep driving.

Very nice hotel with a river view. The casino is a bit tight, but the video poker is great! There's a good selection of games, and the waitstaff is congenial and always readily available. All in all, it's one of the better casino/hotels I've been to. I highly recommend Bridges restaurant in the hotel lobby for breakfast, decent prices, and really good food. In the hotel, the rooms are comfortable and inviting. The only thing stopping it from getting a 5 star rating is the free Wi-Fi is limited to 2 devices, any more than 2, and it's a $7.99 addition charge per night.

Our recent visit (Jun 10, 2018) showed that they are listening. They have updated many of their games making the visit much more enjoyable. We still didn't win but the entertainment has greatly improved. Hotel rooms are nice, but I wish the room showers were not deep tubs. Makes it tough for older people like us to get in and out. Maybe they will update these over time. Much happier.

Nice hotel and casino. I haven't won big but it's fun to go try. They have a band or DJ on Friday and Saturday night until 1 am.

We stopped here for one night on our way home from a roadtrip. The hotel was beautiful and the room was larger than expected. The price was EXCELLENT! We had a great time in the casino.

It's not a very big casino. It's non smoking which is good for some but not us smokers. I didn't feel there was a great variety of games. It seemed mostly slots. And I know it's gambling but they could let you win enough to keep playing! We won nothing! The most I hit on a $20 was $8! The staff did seem nice and it is a pretty clean casino. There is a lot of parking and it's easy access. It is far from us, about 2 hrs, and we would never drive it again. We didn't stay at the hotel so can't share anything with that. We do go to many casinos and this one just isn't one we would go to again. It wasn't fun.

The rooms aren't 5-star, the beds are a little worn and the decore isn't much better than you'd find at a Hampton Inn. However… Service is most definitely 5-star, as is the Bridges Restaurant, located on the ground floor to the rear of the hotel. That along with a small but pleasant casino experience makes it a great place to get away for a night or two. It was nice to see Roulette, Blackjack as well as slots on the floor — too many "casinos" have only slots. The exterior of the place really lacks in style, but after you walk in you can tell that this is a Harrah's property.

Good location right down on the river. Employees are very friendly and fun to be around. Very clean rooms and casino area. Buffett was very good as well.

I really enjoy it the hotel was very clean the service was very professional nice and courteous. The casino is nice, and close to a lot of other attractions. But it would be nice if they would comp some rooms so you could spend more time enjoying gambling and seeing other sites as well.

We went to the Fresh Buffet twice this week. It was delicious! A very good selection and tasted very good. We had Easter dinner there since it was just the two of us. It was wonderful. The Prime Rib was tender, juicy and mouth watering! We are planning on going back this coming week-end. If you don't go you are really missing a great treat! Harrah's Metropolis the best place to go for dinner, breakfast, fun and a great night away from home!.

Great place to eat and have fun. The employees are friendly and always there when you need them. The rooms are clean and relaxing. You should go if you are in the mood to have fun.

I can tell why the surrounding area is sucked dry of any value or respectability. This casino has the worst ratios and absolutely will never return to this money hungry facility ever again. I am flabbergasted at the fact that I had to pay for every drink while playing 20 hands of blackjack and not a single hit. Meanwhile the dealer hit 3 blackjacks. There is something wrong with this place and I wouldn't be surprised to find that they are doing shading things with the slots and table games. I plead with you not to go to this casino it will suck you dry. Nobody wins.

Fun place. Smaller casino everyone was so friendly, had a sandwich from 'Aces' inexpensive and very tasty! The rooms are nice and clean and the bed was very comfy!

The hotel is very nicely appointed with very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. I really enjoyed my stay. I was most impressed with the cleanliness and nice decor.

This place is ok. Machines are just so-so. Prices of drinks keep going up, $4 for a draft beer in a plastic cup. The hotel is nice. Staff in both the casino and hotel are really nice.

Decent casino. Very nice rooms. If you're a smoker, then be prepared to spend time outdoors in a covered and heated area. If you're a non smoker you will appreciate the smoke free casino.

Yeah, travel to here roads closed due to flooding which is understandable but sure would be nice if someone could convey there closure at the casino. And hotel. Not very customer friendly or thoughtful. So guess we wont be back here again …

Great steak dinner. Lucky machines. Phyllis kept a fresh diet coke in my hand. Who could ask for more than that?

The excellent customer service was by far the best we've ever experienced as far as hotels go. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everyone that works here (from the front counter, to the buffet, to the casino) was extremely polite and upbeat our entire trip. We will definitely be back and highly recommended this hotel to anyone.

We were only at Harrahs in metropolis for a couple hours to blow a bit of time on this occasion, but the staff was as courteous as the other times we were there. Drinks were prompt, staff was happy, floor was clean. For some reason the local police were there in force that night, but apart from one officers rude comment they didn't bother us. It wasn't to crowded that night unlike other nights, but we did go on a weekday (Thursday).

Enjoy the mindlessness as my mom puts it. She seems to do well on the slots. I just get away from the craziness of life.

It's just so so. They are lucky only casino within 100 miles. Treat you like your just lucky they offer you a chance to win money. And no, I didn't loose a lot of money and just mad. I been to A lot of casinos, this place is just a small town type of casino.

We came here ne and the wife on our way back to Houston, we had a wonderful time the hotel was beautiful the rooms were clean very nice the people were friendly and then the casino was not bad at all we had a beautiful time we won a little money but that's not the issue thank you for everything.

Harrah's metropolis is a great casino and the band be there every Friday and Saturday night and the DJ play some good music and shout to Kristen she is the best beverage lady in the whole wide world I all ways ask her what you got last Sunday I was at the boat and maybe this Friday I will be at the boat and the buffet is awesome I love to eat slot so I love the fresh buffet and bakery.

Different casino, close every early am doesn't reopen till 9/am. Always have a room available usually comp. Small but fun.

I like going to Harrah's to the casino. I like it much much better now because everything is on one floor now. I enjoy getting my $5 slot machine. And I enjoyed getting my $5 for my Ace's restaurant. I like Harris I've been going there for quite some time now.

Had an event to attend in Paducah over Memorial weekend so decided to stay here since it is just over the bridge. We don't gamble but were still entertained, overall enjoyed our stay. Live music was provided by an awesome band from Nashville (Radio Inc), really enjoyed their show. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and casino. We also had a nice view of the river from our room. Gave only 3 stars for a few reasons. First of all trying to book a room was slightly inconvenient. If you want the student/military discount offered on the website you have to set up "ID Me" and if you call the hotel they will just straight up say they don't do any student/military discounts. Anyways, I got that resolved by setting up the ID me and did indeed get the extra discount. The hotel rooms need more attention as far as cleanliness goes. There was a large yellow stain on our sheets (housekeeping did bring new sheets right away which was much appreciated. ) Most everything was dusty and the carpet needed vacuumed. As far as food goes the choices aren't so good. We checked out the casino buffet however the food look pretty gross and was priced at $17.99 per person. We decided against the buffet and went down the road to Fat Ed's which was a great choice, you can see the hotel from this bar.

FIRST EXPERIENCE WAS NOT GOOD! We checked in at 12:30 AM got in a room and we were tired. All we wanted to do was use the bathroom and go to bed. The toilet had pubic hair all over it. The sink and the tub was not clean, hair all over the floor. We called the manager and she came to our room with a cleaning lady and they cleaned the toilet and left. The sink and tub was still dirty. Long story short we will not be staying here ever again!

Love this place… for its parking. Slots are uber tight! Not to many jack pot winners here. Good variety of slots but too few for the amount of people that show up. I found myself waiting many times for a popular slot to open. Nice atmosphere but don't go in thinking you'll walk out with what you came with. No way!

Hotel was wonderful and cheap. The bed was very spacious and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our room. Casino was on the small side but very nice inside. The only thing that could be improved would be the food. Free breakfast would be a nice addition.

The room was great and appeared quite clean and well maintained, plenty of space. But there was a faint odor of smoke in this non smoking room and a strong scent of it in the hallways. The casino floor was small, but had a great variety of games. The view out to the river was a nice addition to the experience.

I'm a river and tugboat buff so the location and view is great. All the different rooms that I have stayed in have been phenomenal. The restaurant has great steaks and carrot cake for dessert, but share it with two or three people as it is huge. On top of it all the room rates can't be beat. Well worth your time to stay here.
