If you need to get away or need a change from the everyday, we can't say enough great things about Eagle Ridge. We especially loved staying in their private home rentals. Not only did we have more than enough space for our family of 7, but homes offer everyday luxuries — a kitchen, DVDs, board games, a washer and dryer, of course, and a strong Wi-Fi signal. Our particular unit had great views of the woods and even a screened porch. I particularly loved the Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. We loved being "away from it all" but also enjoyed the plentiful amenities offered by the resort. Our winter excursion allowed us to enjoy the Nordic Center where we skated our worries away on the ice rink. Kids loved splashing away in the pool, while I enjoyed a much-needed spa session. We timed our visit with the Winter Carnival and enjoyed extra activities planned by the resort — bonfires, hay rack rides, bounce house, crafts, a reptile show, and more. We had a blast at Eagle Ridge and I’m sure you will too. We are already talking about revisiting when the weather warms up! Although we had so much fun during the weekend, we were contemplating how ideal a weekday stay would be. The homes have everything we would need, we would have the resort to ourselves, and they offer special rates on weekdays. A win-win all around in my book!

I was hired by eagle ridge and wasn't fired but was stopped being put on the schedule due to another coworker’s (Eva from front desk) personal issues with me. I have been out of work for awhile so this job meant a lot to me and my three kids financially. In order to get financial aid I need a termination letter from them that they are refusing to give me. They gave me the run around for weeks on putting me in another position. Human Resources (Greg Smith) ignored phone calls. I slept with someone's husband while they were seperated 10 years ago and I'm not a good fit. The woman (Eva) who has the issue was a known crackhead who had her first child with a married man but is. Make this make sense! This place is overpriced and has a bunch of drug addicts working there.

A quiet, relaxing time and a wonderful spa visit. What more could you ask for!

Great romantic place, was there during the holiday season and saw the active holiday windows. Great for any couple celebrating Birthday or Anniversary!

Stayed at one of the rental houses and it was very nice! Could use a furniture upgrade. The tv’s are so small but other than that it was a great experience.

Great golf: the general is tough but beautiful: so many changes in elevation;
East a fun 9 hole;
North a flowing challenge Service personnel are friendly and helpful.

In my numerous golf trips to Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, I've had a wonderful time on the golfing and housing properties. A wonderful place in Northwestern Illinois and very serene!

Spent the first day enjoying the quiet and peacefulness of the lake and hiking trails. Second day golfed the South course. Food was great, people were nice. Rooms need to be updated but we will still go back.

Awesome place to stay and relax, we was here for the Mother's day weekend. The spa and the resort was great, we enjoyed everything Eagle Ridge had to offer… we definitely will be back soon…

This was my husband and I 1st time here and we felt the warmth as soon as we walked across the threshold. The hospitality was a grade “A”! Dinning, Bar and Food “A”!

Our experience was amazingly good time. So relaxing and bonded with my wife. We would definitely be back. We found that the winter time with the snow, animals and fire place made it so much better.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here this past week. The resort and staff were magnificent.

I recommend a full body massage with hot stones and foot exfoliation. Joyce was my massage therapist and she did an excellent job. The staff is nice & the villa we stayed in was really nice, clean, and quiet.

The staff are friendly and the service is good. I expected the rooms to be better though. The interiors and bathrooms need to be upgraded.
The restaurant was good for breakfast and pizza. There was a good shuttle service as well. Location was fantastic and lots of outdoor activities besides Golf. Mainly hiking trails and horse riding trails.

We rented the 4 bedroom and the house was in good condition. Customer service was good and prompt when call to address our concerns. The scenery was very peaceful and beautiful.

Eagle Ridge hosted our wedding! They were amazing from the first time we toured the facilities until we left for home! Beautiful, place to visit and to hold a wedding! Maggie is AMAZING!

Golfing was great, people were nice, but the room smelled horrible and was very dirty, had to go and get clean towels because those were dirty too. Waited the 2nd day for someone to come and spray and clean, no one showed up.
The washroom on the General course was filthy and had feces on the toilet and up to the rim in the toilet bowl. Disgusting!
I think next time we'll stay at the Radisson or somewhere else, not worth 200.00+ a night. Its a shame because its a great location and place to go. Sad.

Staff is awesome! They make a point to get to know you and you feel like family!

We had such a great time at Eagle Ridge. Accommodations were nice, we rented a villa. They picked us up and drove us everywhere. Woodlands lounge was perfect. We were there for the winter carnival and it was fun also. They put a lot of work into making everyone feel welcome. We used the Nordic Center which was also great! We will return!

Had the chance to have dinner at The Woodlands last night. As always the food was phenomenal. The service was excellent (Chris gets it right every time) and Jack the Manager always makes sure things are perfect. Both Jack and Chris are worth their weight in gold!

Eagle Ridge Resort is one of the most beautiful locations for a wedding I've seen and experienced. Everything about this resort is elegant … indoors and outdoors. Been going every year for a family reunion since 2013 me and my family just love this place it's a really nice place for family. It ready beautiful outdoor resort and the spa are wonderful just great place all around.

I liked my time at eagle ridge! It was a nice place with a great view of the overall landscape. I attended my friends co-workers wedding, and I have got to say the food there was some of the best I've ever had at a wedding. The choices were vast and I was extremely impressed. The bartender knew what he was doing or followed great directions if he didn't understand your specific drink. Unfortunately it rained (downpoured) during our visit and the ceremony, otherwise the outdoor location near the point overseeing the lake would have been marvelous. I still managed to go down there and take in the beauty of the location after it had stopped raining. Overall, I'd love to attend any other wedding here, so feel free to invite me to them.

We have a cabin in the Territory and dine at Woodlands on occasion. The last experience reminded us of how good it always is. The executive chef comes up with creative dishes that rival anything we get here in Chicago. A pork tomahawk was the most tender piece of pork I have had, and my wife's diver scallops made a great presentation and were cooked to perfection. And if you are a beer lover, so is the chef so the beer menu is always interesting. The wait staff is always friendly. A friendly place to dine.

Older hotel with comfortable beds and newer showers. The spa is not lavish but the people are very nice and the masseuse was as good as any five star hotel. This is a golfer's paradise. There are 4 courses to choose from on site and they are all beautifully situated in the rolling hills of the property. The property is about a ten minute ride to downtown galena. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the place seemed dated.

Beautiful resort for golfers and non-golfers alike. The courses are well maintained and staffed. Good food at the restaurant in the main Lodge, the pizza place and the general store. We didn't eat at the restaurant by the General course but I can't imagine it didn't have good food as well. We stayed in a two bedroom villa which was clean and efficient with daily maid service if you want/need it. The lake is gorgeous and you have options of paddle boats, canoes or kayaks to borrow as part of your resort fee. There are also pontoon boats for rent. In the main Lodge there are many options like the pool (lovely but a bit chilly), sauna and steam rooms, arcade (no coins necessary), well equipped exercise room and spa. There are paved walking trails throughout the property as well. Everywhere we went there staff was courteous and helpful. Can't say enough about them. Overall, this is a spectacular place to visit.

Come for the weekend, take in a few holes away the numerous courses or even celebrate your nuptials in Galena's gorgeous Eagle Ridge Resort. There's so many things to do here while you stay, you'll have to book your next visit before you leave. Weddings here are always such a great time and the ladies in the wedding studio have some amazing wedding professionals that they can help you choose (such as us here at Special Moments Entertainment). Take a trip to Galena, you won't regret it!

We had a lovely visit here for our 10th anniversary! We received a free upgrade to our room when we arrived which was a very nice surprise — very pretty fireplace suite surrounded by a wooded area. Superb breakfast room service and very friendly staff. The view of the lake is beautiful as are the grounds. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently rented a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom house with my parents and aunt & uncle for a family wedding. The furnishings were great, the house was clean, extremely comfortable, and super spacious. There was plenty of space for lounging or hanging out together. Each bedroom was on its own floor with a separate bathroom and living space. As I just rented a house, I wasn't in the lodge or the spa, so I can't comment on those. But I would definitely rent another home if in this area again.

Rooms were very nice. We stayed at a 3 queen bed villa. It was well furnished and came with everything needed (like in the kitchen for example. ) Friendly service, and the food at the venue was good! Shuttle service was a big plus.

Our stay at Eagle Ridge resort was wonderful. We had our own little Cape cod style house with 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen with dishes and appliances, a woodburning fireplace, dining room table, and a sound system. Outside was a small deck with a table and chairs and a gas grill. The bedroom had a king size bed. The place was nice and clean. It was very relaxing. We will definitely return!

The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Very nice resort for golfing in the summer. One of the best views in Illinois. Needs some exterior and major renovations Food was good but not for the price. Galena strip definitely had better food ddg or the price. Been at nicer resorts that were more up to date, more to do, and cheaper. Excellent place to go to golf and a view.

My fiance and I had a wonderful time at Eagle Ridge. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and Midwestern hospitality. It truly is a full service resort and spa. The food was also top knotch from appetizers to dessert.
My massage at the spa was amazing, Stacy-Jo is a true professional and I will ask for her again when I return to the spa on our next visit. My fiance also can't stop talking about the massage she received from Jennifer. Hats off to the staff at the spa!
As a history buff Galena was like stepping back in time. Each building had a story from history and the business owners were all engaging and polite.
We are already planning our trip back for June to explore more!

Great place had a super time. Food was good. Only problem room service. That food came cold and incomplete and took 1-1/2 hours to get to us. Would definitely come again just not get room service.

I spent two nights in a 5 bedroom distinctive home with a big group. We didn't check out much of the resort or spa — we spent the days skiing at Chestnut Mountain about 20 minutes away. The house was remote and private. The interior was nicely furnished. Each of the bedrooms had a king size mattress. We had to wait until 4 pm to check in, but were given an extra two hours before checkout when we requested. Overall nice experience in the house but can't comment on the rest of the resort.

This place is wonderful. Nice, peaceful, tranquil, relaxing, all the above. The staff were all super friendly and we also really enjoyed the restaurant. Would love to visit in the summer to be able to check out all the outdoor activities. We visited in the winter. The only thing I would wish for different was that my group all wished they had a hot tub. They did have a sauna and a steam room, but a hot tub would be awesome. The rooms were great, and our trip was really awesome!

My wife and I stayed here this last weekend for our Anniversary. We enjoyed our stay very much. Food was super delicious (especially the buffet breakfast). The staff was very accommodating. Our room was very cozy. Nothing to complain about at all!

The atmosphere at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa is absolutely wonderful. From the moment you walk in to check in and the moment you check out, it's like being part of a family. We have stayed at least once a year here as a tradition and the hotel as well as the cabins are wonderful. Each time the room accommodations have a unique decoration to them. You really feel at home. Having a fireplace in house is wonderful. Whenever we called housekeeping they brought us items within minutes and always asked if we need anything else. Service was wonderful and the location is wonderful. I highly recommend Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. The Spa as well is top quality. Don't miss out on that opportunity. I will be back and will recommend to all!

This is a nice place. The best part for me was the staff. The facility itself is spacious and clean, but starting to feel a bit dated. Fair price for the value. Hoping that the owners reinvest a bit because the property is amazing.

Our new favorite getaway. Beautiful does not do it justice. Great food, great service, clean, comfortable rooms. Litteraly miles and miles of trails, so be sure to get the numbered trail map from the front desk and bring a pack if you are out hiking in late October as the weather can change quickly and this place is HUGE! I was delighted and can't wait to come back!

This is my fifth visit to the Eagle Ridge. We usually stay in one of the cottages but this time we stayed in courtyard rooms. The rooms are very nice and recently updated. There is a fridge in the room. We had a mother daughter trip. We all had spa treatments which were wonderful. Both morning we had breakfast at the resort restaurant. The buffet is great. We had dinner one night the restaurant and it was great too. The indoor pool is very nice. Beautiful walking trails. Love this place.

The staff was very pleasant at check in and all interactions, the room was clean and very nice. The property is beautiful! There are a number of restaurants on the property. We are at both Woodstone and the restaurant that offers breakfast at the main resort building. Both were above average though nothing spectacular. We did not utilize the spa but enjoyed the pool, playground and 2 hour boat rental that is included in your room fee. There is also a quaint little general store with from grocery items, gifts, alcohol and gas which was very handy.

Purchased a Groupon for a 2 bedroom villa. We were sent to a Room of a building that was under construction. As soon as we got in the Room I opened the shades and there's a man looking at me on a Crane. I went back to the office where they relocated us to a better place after I had to complain. No one should have been sent to that building. Then we go to the fancy restaurant and the premises and I asked to sit by window to enjoy the view. I observed open tables and the lady sits us right next to the kitchen. I was not impressed with this resort at all. I've never felt discriminated against in my life because of race. This was a first.

Staff was very friendly. The general room conditions weren't great. There was a hole in the screen door and the lock was a makeshift metal bracket. Beds were pretty rough. The ice machine was off for the "season, " appearantly 70°f in early September is the off season for ice. Maybe a little picky, but there isn't a hot tub in the pool area… the motel down the street had a hot tub. Overall, really not impressed and way over priced. We've stayed at a few different places in Galena over the years that I'd rate better.

The entire experience at Eagle Ridge was absolutely phenomenal for our wedding. We made several visits to Eagle Ridge during the planning phase and they were all phenomenal. We worked with three different wedding planners at Eagle Ridge, all of which were phenomenal, especially Maggie Truppa. We had our wedding downtown in Grant Park and our reception in the main ballroom back at Eagle Ridge. The customer service at Eagle Ridge is first class. We rented their signature home for the welcome party and that was wonderful. The bellman repeatedly came out to deliver ice and fresh towels and pick up any garbage. The reception couldn't have gone any better. Maggie coordinated everything perfectly with all of our vendors and the night flowed perfectly. I would recommend Eagle Ridge to anyone! I was pretty impressed with Eagle Ridge. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because it's a little pricey. You will find lot's of relaxing things to do at this resort. There is a beautiful hiking trail that goes along the lake and really puts you up close with nature. While dining at the main restaurant, we enjoyed live music and had a beautiful view of the lake. Whether you like golfing, fishing or just downtime, this resort has it all.

The location was beautiful and the resort was very clean and we'll kept. The shuttle service was very convenient and easy to use, but could have been a little more organized. We had a cancelled nshuttle that showed up much earlier than we would have liked. We were there for a conference and seemingly no matter how much we contacted the staff, the room was almost always freezing. The food was very good and every one was pleasant and helpful. The house we stayed in was beautiful and I would go and stay again.

Attended a wedding. From the wedding coordinators to the general staff at the Inn, 5 stars across the board. Friendliness, follow up and prompt service. I have visited many times in the past, both for work and pleasure. I most definitely have a critical eye for service and detail. Their staff truly impressed me, which is not easy to do. Front desk staff as well as some of the folks I interacted with behind the scenes truly were knowledgeable caring people. I will recommend and return.

We had a 2 day golf package, and had a great time. All the staff was helpful and friendly. We loved our room in the courtyard, super view! And the buffet breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I go every year for my birthday and I love eagle ridge! Everyone is very friendly, they have awesome wine tasting at woodlands restaurant and their pool is so nice! They even play kids movies Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm. It's super close to downtown too and they have an awesome general store where you can get awesome food as well! During the spring the hiking trails are great and the views are amazing! We saw a wild turkey and a baby bob cat in our back yard! Their spa is also.

My husband and I went to the resort because we had reserved a hot air balloon ride. We had unlucky weather, though, and didn't get to go at any if our 3 possible rides. They were very good about it, though, and did what they could to get us scheduled in other slots (hence the 3 possible rides). The pilot was friendly and professional. Wish we could have flown!

When we arrived, I was in awe at how beautiful everything is. The grounds look amazing and the resort is very pretty. We checked in and were greeted by very polite and professional staff. The recreation manager told us all about the included activities to do. Bike rides, canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, it's all part of it. Our room was a standard hotel room. Two queen beds, AC, etc. But behind the curtains laid a mystery to me. A balcony! Beautiful view of the trees. Not much else but I could drink my coffee outside and that's nice. The breakfast on site is great! It's like $15 and is a buffet. Endless bacon, sausage, an omelette chef, and either French toast or pancakes. There's loads more food available from the menu but I love food so I just said, "buffet" and took off for the omelette chef. There's a pool with a retractable roof and a sauna as well as a steam room. It's lovely. Outdoor fun like giant chess kept me entertained for days. Short drive to Galena downtown but it's fantastic. Shopping galore and food to die for. Speaking of food, there's a little spot inside near the lobby that has pizza I would slap my mother to eat. It's so good, I ate an entire large by myself. The front desk has a little desk next to it. That desk is for activities. If you want to play tennis, they'll give you racquets and balls. It was a fun day. If you're on the fence about Eagle Ridge, just do it. You won't be disappointed.

I stayed 2 nights in one of their 6 bedroom houses for a bachelor golf weekend. The house was very nice, well maintained, and a great size. The only other part of the resort that I experienced was the lounge at the main resort, which had great food and friendly staff. I will definitely be returning… great location and even better golf.

We visited during Easter weekend and had a great stay in our two queen bed courtyard room. Very comfortable rooms, lovely location, front desk is super helpful. Lots of things to do, both on the resort and also in the area. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
