Is very clean, the service, the breakfast and employees very friendly, Emma Jane Mayer the manager she makes you feel at home.

It was a great hotel and great experience. The only negative things is in the breakfast area none of the guests were wearing masks and no one was enforcing it. And in the pool area no one was social distancing.

We had a wonderful experience at Country Inn, Dana I believe is the general manager she made our stay absolutely amazing! We will never forget our wonderful trip to galena! Amazing customer service!

Had a little bit of a mixup where I got charged by Priceline and the hotel. Within ten minutes of realizing what happened, talking to Priceline customer service and the front desk it was fixed. Sam at the front desk was helpful, understanding, and just the positive attitude made that whole mixup not so bad at all. The rest of the experience from the room to the pool to the breakfast with the made to order waffles was wonderful as well.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Cookies at check in, and a fireplace in the lobby (and in my room), a must when it’s winter cold outside.
Huge arcade room by the pool that had my favorite, Miss Pac-Man. Really enjoyable stay.

Friendly staff, great room & fantastic breakfast. Away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Galena but still convenient. Pool with slides & game room make this a fun place for kids.

Kids of all ages had fun on the water slide, in the pool and at the arcade. We will plan a return trip.

Great location to downtown Galena and 20 min to Iowa.

Our family stays here every year and we love it. The kids love the pool and the breakfast is really good. Can't wait to come back next year.

I was in town for a funeral, the hotel offered a discounted rate which was very kind of them. The rooms were spotless, and the included breakfast was among the best I've had at a chain hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel not only for it's great price but also the quality of the rooms.

Our first room was very musty smelling, so we asked for a different room. A woman came up to our floor with a can of spray and then opened a room farther down the hall, went in, came out, and then came down to us. She then checked our keys for our current door and gave us new room keys. I'm not sure what she sprayed in our new room but it was so strong that I could taste it. We opened windows to clear it out and ended up sleeping with the windows open because the scent lingered. Outside of that, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean, and the cookies were crisp. Without the smell issues, it would have been a five star experience.

Very nice room and super comfortable bed. For the price of the whirlpool suite, I kinda wish it was a little larger and had a table and chairs or desk area to be able to sit at to eat. Room was clean, the shower was amazing, staff was nice, pool area was large and free breakfast was good with many different options to choose from. Overall it was a nice stay.

My wife and I spent a few days at this awesome hotel and were very pleased all around… Customer service was wonderful and the only issue we had was the exhaust fan damper in are bathroom was making a thumping sound when the fan was off, but they quickly found us another room and were apologetic for the inconvenience. The rooms were clean and efficient.
The free breakfast was very tasty and cooked fresh… Scrambled eggs and bacon, fresh fruit, cooked on the spot waffles with an assortment of toppings… Sausage with eggs on our second morning with all of the above. A large variety of fruits, juices and cereals completed this spread.
The ladies working the breakfast were attentive and very pleasant.

Staff very friendly. Rooms clean, & comfortable. Beds comfortable, enough. Pillows, not worth a damn! Breakfasts very good! Nice selection to choose from. Just outside the town limits, which was nice, not as much traffic to deal with. Close enough to downtown Galena, it takes about 5 minutes to get there. Overall nice place to stay while visiting Galena!

The best stay in a motel ever. 5 stars for cleanliness, friendliness, and a great breakfast buffet. Cant say enough good about our front desk host, Terri, hope to see her again soon, she was the best.

Room was very nice! King size bed with a bit hot tub in the room. For only $98 with tax. Only negative is the air conditioner ran all night but didn't cool completely down. And the coffee maker in room doesn't work, but they did fix it right away!

The hotel was nicely done. A new breakfast area was being installed, and is probably operational by now. In the interim, a downstairs meeting room served the purpose, and was attended by helpful and courteous lady who made everyone feel welcome. I have no negatives for the Country Inn in Galena.

I don't think I'll ever give a place 5 stars, but this place was well worth the 4 because it really had everything that you're looking for in a hotel. The rooms were very clean, the staff was very nice, and the breakfast was great. They have a nice design and the building is beautiful. Came here with my mom and my sister for Mother's Day and then we went to get tattoos so it was a good trip! Highly recommend.

This is a great place for families with kids. They have a very nice indoor pool and large rooms for families. The hotel is not a 5 star hotel as far as being high end and some of the furniture is a little dated but I give it five stars for being a great family friendly location with a nice indoor pool, a small water slide a baby pool, hot tub, and game room.

The location was good, nice pool and gym facilities, rooms where clean, the staff where very friendly.

Clean. Nice staff. Good breakfast. Nice salt water pool with a slide. Also has a kiddie pool with a frog small slide. There was a good sized hot tub. About a 5 minute drive from downtown Galena shopping.

Rooms were very clean, front desk staff were very professional and accomadating. The breakfast area needs to be bigger and the buffet laid out better.

It Is a wonderful place to stay. Our family enjoyed the very nice staff and the wonderful pools and slides. It’s perfect for kids of a young age. It’s also perfect for adults to enjoy and relax in the hot tub.

Visited Galena Country Inn & Suites. We love the pool with the slide and the breakfast that's included. The free cookies at desk are a nice touch. I will say that I think they use too much chlorine in the pool. Smells strongly of it, and it actually burned my face just a little. I looked like I had a sunburn for a couple hours after swimming. But still love the pool!

This is my first time at a Country Inn and Suites. My room was clean with a lot of space. The staff was friendly and the morning breakfast was very good. It was hot and there was a large variety of different foods.

Loved the pool and the waterslide. I never saw the maids but they did a great job with the room. Location is nice, right next to culvers. Nearby town Galena was also wonderful.

Very clean, spacious rooms with above average amenities. Pool area is amazing! Staff very friendly, and helpful. Minus one star for the disappointing breakfast (breakfast is why I usually try to stay at Country Inn & Suites). Expanded breakfast was anything but expanded. Only eggs out had green and red peppers and other vegetables in them. All I wanted was scrambled eggs. Not as much variety as I'm used to fro Country Inn & Suites. Lady attending during breakfast was a bit rude also. Everything else was an absolute delight. Would recommend to anyone.

Really couldn't have been happier with my stay here. This was a great hotel just minutes down the street from downtown Galena. The hotel itself was very clean and quiet, with a friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and great pool area. With it's water slide inside the hotel and a Culver's and mini golf right next door, it's a great place for kids.

We were pleased with the ease of check in, location, room and bed. Did not use tub or pool but seemed good place for families. Not big breakfast people but excellent orange juice and staff was helpful.

Place is so gross! Literally half an inch of dust on the fan blades above the bed, rotting walls, found super long hairs in my new bed, jacuzzi didn't work even though we paid an extra 50 dollars for the suite. Complained to the staff, he said he would come look at it right away and never did. Had to call him back and he didn't seem concerned. Staffed is terrible. Dealt with 3 different employees and they were all rude. Parking is also awful. Very disappointed. Wish I would have booked at ramada next door.

Nice hotel. "Waterpark" only has one slide in the big pool and a kiddie slide, but I think young kids would love it. Hot tub was nice and big too. Rooms were clean and whole hotel was in good condition. Nice staff and fresh cookies. We'd stay again.

Location is great. The employees were great. The main pool is a good size, there were also a kiddie pool and a hot tub. Breakfast had a pretty good selection. The rooms are about average for the price, not bad but nothing special. The only issues we saw were 1) one of the windows wouldn't open, but we have a small child so that was actually a plus for us and 2) the bathroom door was hard to close. Frankly, for those to be the biggest issues, this is one of the nicest places we've stayed in the area.

They were very hospitable and left us a bottle of champagne for our celebration. The hand written card was an excellent touch. The issue was not the sevice but the rooms. First was that the pool area was a kids zone and very loud and small pool. The room we had was with a fireplace, but if you had the fireplace on you needed the air conditioner up full because the fireplace put out too much heat for the size room. We could hear all the little feet pounding on the ceiling, and the noice from the pool area. The cable service was questionable because of bad cords. The pillows on the king size bed were twin size pillows. Clean and convenient, but may not be worth the money.

The rooms were good, but the continental breakfast was as good as you could expect from a buffet.

We booked a block of rooms on short notice due to a funeral in area and we were given a great bereavement rate. The kids loved the pool and the staff was very accommodating.

Upon arrivivg, I was greeted by very friendly front desk receprionists. The lobby was beautiful, and comfortable. The room was attractive and clean… The beds comfortable. I'd go to Comfort Inn again! Oh,, and the morning breakfast was great with a great assortment of foods.

Lori, one of the managers exceeded my expectations today! She helped me surprise my parents with a gift of champagne in the room, and was lovely to speak to. What a great customer service, and the willingness to go above & beyond to surprise & delight! Thanks!

Hotel is neat and clean. Pool area is nice. But we were woken up about 5-6am in the morning from one of the staff members right outside our door, yelling down the hall. We came during off season so the hotel is empty but practically 5 people and they put us in a room next to others. Out of the entire vacant hotel you put us next to other people! Which we could hear their entire conversations through the wall. Even when this place is empty and vacant, its not quiet. Dont expect to sleep much while your here. We'll see how the second night goes. Im sure I'll write another review.

The room was nice and it wasn't far from downtown (a short drive). The pillow selection was a little lacking but when I asked for more I got plenty. Overall I enjoyed the stay. Next time I might try to stay closer to Main St. Though.

The staff is very friendly and they have helped us with what we need when asked. However, the Wi-Fi is slow and getting work done has been frustrating (but that isn't the staff's fault).

My visit started out a little sour as the hotel had lost my reservation and the room that I had originally reserved, with the amenities that had been guaranteed to me were not available. Initially the front desk woman was pleasant, until she thought I didn't actually have a reservation and even made a snide remark about my organization. Thankfully the manager came out and cleared everything up, and it turned out to be an error in the hotel booking system. Unfortunately that woman continued to provide poor customer service. However, I cannot say enough amazing things about the manager, Dana! She went about and beyond to fix all of the mistakes and make sure our stay was well above what we were looking for! The rooms were nice, nothing too special (we had a standard room with 2 queen beds), but the pool was SO fun! I traveled here with 2 of my friends for a girls weekend and we had a blast sitting in the hot tub, going down the water slide and relaxing in the pool area. It was very clean and well kept, we saw attendants come in several times to check on things, clean up, exchange towel/check towel supply. The pool was also open late (11:00pm) which allowed us some time without the kids running about. Overall the hotel was very nice and I would recommend it to any travelers looking for a hotel in the Galena area. Make sure you speak up if you're not happy with something, because they will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!

Ok place. We have seen better furnishings and decor at other Country Inns. Wasn't really what we hoped for. The water slide didn't function well. Not enough water to push an adult down. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This Country Inn was very comfortable. Breakfasts were great. What impressed me the most was the service we got at the front desk. We had a car problem while there and Rachel and Lori were both so very helpful. Their help was greatly appreciated and allowed us to finish our trip with the car working.
