The hotel staff at Spring Hill Suites were super amazing, fun and sweet & are really active with future sailors & navy families. I absolutely adore this place.

Very nice! I loved the double bathroom feature in our room. I got ready for the day and didn't have to share counter space with my husband… lol. The staff is warm and friendly. Of course the food is also a hit. Overall, this hotel is great. You won't be disappointed.

Very clean hotel. Staff was incredible. They treated us like we were family. The breakfast has pretty much everything even a self serve waffle station! I would definitely stay at Springhill again. Thank you to the staff for making our stay a great one!

We really enjoyed staying here. It is clean and safe and very conveniently located for Navy Boot Camp graduations as well as visits to Six Flags. There is a Walmart and restaurants within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast buffet is a very nice spread every morning. This is actually our second time staying here. This trip we needed to extend our stay by one day because of weather, the staff was very accommodating and did it without a problem.

Pros: Rooms were very nice. Sliding doors were a different touch. Pull out couch was more comfortable then expected. Cons: pillows sucked. Parking was a nightmare. When we pulled in there were no parking spaces available and person at the counter was not helpful at all. And for some, there isn't a bathtub. Only a stand up shower.

I had issues at check in but they were very friendly and accommodating. The room is great, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast choices are actually really good!

I was going to Gospel on the Beach in Waukegan, Illinois. My hotel suite was beautiful and spacious. All the comforts of home. They complimentary breakfast was delicious. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Great atmosphere.

The hotel was clean and wonderful, filled with comfortable rooms and plenty of helpful staff who were ready to answer questions need be. The beds we're like clouds and the convenience of closeness to other venues made it almost the perfect stay. My only concern is my complaint is that The pool was insanely small.

Nice, modern hotel. The rooms have a unique lay out, which I like. I like that the toilet is in a spereate area from the shower. Very handy when you have kids.

Very very clean — very very friendly staff — and generous breakfast. Rooms were large and well designed so you didn't get that claustrophobic hotel room vibe.

Edit: I just have to update my review, because the employees here are beyond AMAZING. I wish I was not limited to 5 stars. Last night it snowed a couple of inches and when I came down to leave for work this morning (-8 wind chill), Valerie had cleaned the snow off my car and the others in the parking lot! I've had my fair share of hotel stays due to work, but I have never experienced such hospitality, nor would I ever expect it. Random acts of kindness like this really go a long way, and are greatly appreciated; I cannot thank Valerie enough! There is no doubt this will be my hotel of choice when I'm in the area. Original Review: Great hotel in a great location. The staff are wonderful (always smiling and welcoming), and my room was very clean. I rarely heard guests in the hallway and didn't hear the people above or on either side of me in the 4 nights I've stayed so far. I was on the 3rd floor in the front of the hotel and traffic noise was minimal as the hotel doesn't sit directly next to a highway. The continental breakfast is the standard fare that you'll find at most hotels and it can get pretty busy Friday — Sunday, but they managed to keep everything stocked. There are a variety of hotel choices in Gurnee and Waukegan, but I will definitely be staying at this hotel each time I come back for work.

Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was fantastic and open very early. Only 10 minutes from the recruit training command. Plus they show the graduation in the lobby for anyone who cannot attend the ceremony. The rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. Coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, large TV and comfortable beds. P. S. Anyone planning on attending the graduation ceremony I would recommend leaving 6am the latest. Traffic gets horrendous and slow moving into the base.

Great rooms that are huge, 2 queen beds a living area with desk and couch. Mini fridge and microwave. The shower had body jets too. Free hot continental breakfast, with eggs and fruit. Fitness room had 2 treadmills 2 eliptical a bike and weights. Recently remodeled hotel everything looks new. Bar is open in the evening and the staff was really nice.

1/27/18 We are currently staying in this hotel. As we walked off the elevator today the whole floor smells like marijuana. I called down to the front desk and stated that the smell was overwhelming and it has already seeped into my room. The front desk clerk stated “they are already in the process of getting the smell out. ” That was all she said and I felt as if I was being rushed off the phone. I AGAIN stated I was actually concerned about my room and personal belongs with the strong smell. Than finaly the desk clerk offered to change our room. Really! That is all I get is we will change your room after I stated for a second time how awful the scent was. I was stunned that not one time did she apologize. Not even a we are Sorry for the smell or we appreciate your business and we know this is an inconvenience. Or We apologize for the strong scent. Not even a we will assist you in bringing your luggage to a new room. This is my third night in this hotel and I have a lot of luggage and personal belongings with me. Not even an offer of assistance to move my belongings to a new room. I just expected more from a SpringHill. I am very disappointed. On a positive note our room has been cleaned by Marycel. Her cleaning is top notch and her personality is warm and friendly.

This place is absolutely great! Rooms are clean, many things to do, the right things I need in my room, and the showers are really relaxing and peaceful! Never experienced anything bad here. Already the best hotel i’ve been to!

The rooms are very nice, modern, and clean. In my king suite there was a couch for a sitting area, a desk, and a nice bed. The toilet and shower were in two separate areas which is handy when there is more than one person in the room. Great room.

Nice rooms that provide a quiet, good night of sleep. Breakfast is a typical Continental style, but it's included for all guests. Some local beers at the bar area, so nothing to complain about.

Do not expect quiet here. Checked in on Saturday and asked to make sure I had a quiet room. Ended up next door to 25 pre-teen girls having a birthday party in a regular hotel room! A call to the front desk at 11 PM asking for intervention actually worked but shame on the hotel for allowing thier room to be used as a party hall. All was quiet until Thursday when the boys hockey team moved in. Apparently Midwest parents think it's ok to send the kids into the hallway for a few hours of field hockey while they hang out in the rooms drinking. Bottom line, this hotel is not managed.

Loved it! Ultra modern, just my style. Separate huge shower and toilet room with it's own pedestal sink was great. Room had everything you could ask for L shaped sleep sofa, desk, microwave, refrigerator and controlled thermostat; with hot breakfast it was truly close to being home. The gym and pool were added bonuses. Big plus for us was close proximity to Naval Base. Plan to stay again when go back for Naval graduation. Will be my go to place to stay if I need to be in the area. Also restaurants and Walmart directly acroos the street, which came in handy since my grandson forgot his pajama pants. Just a first class place to stay. Oh yeah, the staff was amazing and very attentive from the front desk to maintenance their priority is the guest. Job well done!

Very nice suite and room for 3. Very understanding when approving a later checkout due to a sick kid… housekeeping staff, especially Marycel, was super Nice! Would definitely stay here again. Easy ride to Great Lakes training center for our Navy son and graduation activities!

I wish I could give ZERO stars but that wasn't an option. The moment we walked in we saw some white crusty substance on the couch cusion and some dark sticky substance there as well. We called to be moved bit since we had 2 rooms they didn't have any other two rooms next to each other so they came to clean the couch but at this point it was too late, I was grossed out. I have pictures I wish I could upload. Never once did we get any sort of compensation for the grossness.

Great room, very well appointed. Bathroom was excellent, shower was way above the customary. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and had enough options. I will definitely stay there again!

I had a great weekend at the Spring Hill Suites! My hubby is very particular about where he will stay and he was pleased with the comforts of the room, bed, cleanliness, breakfast and staff! Special thanks to Jerine at the front desk for your smile and helpfulness! We will be back :)

I loved the hotel! Beautiful suite! Plenty of room for my teenagers to spread out. Beautiful modern finishes. Breakfast was crowded but food was good.

Average, Nothing spectacular. Should serve cocktails for guests at competitive price, considering there are many local food/Lounges nearby. Rooms are average. Service average. Just complete "blah" type of experience.

I would stay again. I wasn't rushed to check out. The food was decent. Even though being in a bad neighborhood, the clientele and guests weren't bad.

I just want to give kudos to April and the staff at Spring Hill Suites. Our company had a conference and the guests stayed at the hotel. April made sure to cover all of the details from shuttling people to and from the hotel to getting the guests to the restaurant to giving out the gift bags to the attendees. If and when there is an event in the future I will be sure to book the stay at Spring Hill Suites. Thanks again April and the Spring Hill Suites staff! :)

This place is amazing! From the perfect location for Navy graduation guests, to the perfect amenities. Staff is beyond helpful (I personally loved the attention from the housekeeper, Marycel. Outstanding! ) Great service, from breakfast to shuttle to comfy bed. We stayed three nights and never didn't enjoy the room. I'd stay again and again!

We have stayed in many hotels and SpringHill Suites has been by far the best we've experienced. Clean, large rooms, friendly staff and quiet. Beds are comfortable. A/C worked perfectly.

A great place to stay. The front desk agent Ariana made us feel welcomed as soon as we arrived. Jackie the bartender is an awesome woman. The rooms were great and the breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. Even with my 5 children and grandbaby there was something everyone liked to eat. I definitely recommend this hotel. If I ever find myself back in Chicago I will be staying here.

Was one of the best experiences I've had staying at a hotel. Very nice rooms and even better staff. Brenda was the life of the place, never had such great customer service!

The suite had two queen beds and a pull out sofa. Plenty of room for the 4 of us (two teenagers and parents). The room and hotel was really clean. A nice breakfast in the morning was great before heading out for the day.

The room is beautiful, the customer service is great and the have a great breakfast.

The hotel is nice and the breakfast has improved since Wednesday. Thank god the potatoes are cooked along with fresh scramble eggs.

My husband and I stayed there this last weekend and we had a wonderful time. Very nice staff, clean rooms, nice free breakfast in the morning. My only complaint the fire place quit working Friday night and nobody knew how to fix it. I would suggest training the staff on this because it would have been nice to sit by the fire and talk with other guests the whole weekend and not just for 2 hours on Friday. Will be returning.

I absolutely love this place! Wonderful stay!

The staff was excellent. The up keep not good. One burner didnt work on the stove. Grease stains in kitchen and the bathtub had a dead bug in it upon renting the first day. Spiders webs and spider in the elevator above the entrance of the elevator, steps etc.

Every time I stay here, It has always been a pleasant experience. The beds, furniture, and bathrooms are always clean and the staff are super friendly!

The hotel smelled super clean right when you walk in. The front desk guy, Martel, I believe his name was, was amazing! He was super nice and welcoming and put a smile on your face. It was only 10 minutes away from the naval graduation. The breakfast they had before hand was great! The rooms are big and cozy, the bathrooms were very nice and clean, bed a pillows were very comfortable. Overall an amazing hotel to stay at! :)
