We stay in a lot of Holiday Inn's. This location was great since it is only like 7 minutes from Medieval Times. But unfortunately at the time the pool was under renovation and the bed wasn't the best. My family stays at Holiday Inns because of the beds they provide and the breakfast. Breakfast was great but the bed didn't feel like the ones they have at other locations. That was a disappointment. This experience made my family rethink being IHG members. I just think their maybe better deals with better quality elsewhere.

I always stay at Holiday inn Express when I travel. The rooms are always clean, and I love the free breakfast! Staff is always friendly too.

Usually I have nice experience in these hotels, but this particularly location was no that nice. Rooms were not so clean, my breakfast was leftovers because they were not making any more breakfast even though it was not over. Really need to step up the service. Bed was very comfy and shower was relaxing.

Very nice staff. Clean rooms. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff kept it well stocked up until it closed. I don't see that at all hotels. The only downside was the temperature in the room. No matter what the thermostat was set at it was still to warm at night. Overall though I would recommend this hotel to others.

A very nice hotel. We booked a jacuzzi suite, and enjoyed the luxury of a hot tub in the room. The bathroom definitely needs an update. Staff was very pleasant, But man, for the price I paid for the room (over $200 per night), I expected more.

We really enjoyed our stay, this location is close to the highway, but not so close that noise intrudes. We stayed on the 4th floor, our bed was exceptionally comfortable, and my wife adored the pillows. There was a nice TV, a microwave, fridge, and in-room Keurig. The shower was hot and steamy, which beats cold any day. This location has a co-located bar and grill, and a 7-11 store that has a passageway leading to it. There is also a mini-convenience store in the lobby. Breakfast was served buffet style, with a host of breads and pastries, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, bacon (they had me at bacon) biscuits and gravy, a pancake machine, and cinnamon rolls. Juices and milk, along with tea, coffee, and water are available for your beverage preferences. The price was reasonable, with quick access to places like Medieval Times and other local fare.

Excellent deal on a family suite. Very clean, good breakfast. Was very pleased with the hotel policy of no parties in rooms. Slept very well! Family will definitely return.

This is a good hotel. The location is very handy in that it is close to many restaurants (sit down and drive through), interstate, the mall and the convention center. Customer service was great, but my bathroom seemed a bit small. 4.5 stars if that was an option. I'd choose this location over the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express closer to the convention center because its in better shape and had lower rates. Light breakfast is included, and the rewards program for the Holiday Inn family is excellent.

Overall clean and nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was a little soft for my liking but I do prefer a firm mattress so that could be just me.

The location is great with the Roselle Rd exit off interstate. Near to shopping and restaurants. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and joyful. Make sure to check your heating/AC unit is working according to your preference. Plenty of parking. Main floor restrooms are clean. Breakfast bar area is nice with plenty of coffee. Food was fresh.

I am here with my elderly father who moves slow with a cane. Because of this, I asked about a luggage cart and where to park. Maria said "park around by the back door closer to the elevator and I will meet you at the door with the cart". Not only did she meet us but made sure my father was safely by the elevator while I parked the car. Not used to that service from a Holiday Inn… thanks so much for going the extra mile for my father. The rooms are clean and quite. The staff is helpful and courteous. The lady keeping up the breakfast bar was super nice. The hotel is very close to restaurants and the mall. Great location overall.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The breakfast was great — much better than many hotels! The room was very clean and Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

ONLY reason I even give a star is because it's required. Super disappointed in this hotel. First, the pool is only outdoors. Which is confusing because we live in a state where a lot of the year is either snowy or too cold for outdoor activities. Secondly, their "free breakfast" is horrible! The selection is POOR and they don't offer hardly anything! No cream cheese for the bagels? Pancake maker is broken? So I'm left w a selection of eggs and bacon and Raisin Bran cereal. I'm highly disappointed and will remember what hotel NOT to book w on my next visit.

An older holiday Inn express. They have upgraded the front door to at least open when you come walking up. For the size of the hotel the breakfast area was small and crowded. Rooms were a little dated but large. I did appreciate the nice office chair at the desk as I usually have a lot of computer work to do. My biggest grip was the Wi-Fi very bad and ended up using my phone. As a business traveler this is a big deal. Other then that rooms very nice and staff was great.

Good staff, bar/restaurant in the premises, at a good spot in the middle of Schaumburg. My only complaint isn't with the hotel, but Google Maps itself. It went a roundabout way to get there for the last couple of miles when we could've gone straight.

Great hotel which I always stay in while I'm in the area. Connected to a very fun Restaurant and Bar.

This was an okay hotel. Pros included clean rooms and excellent breakfast service. The items were the usual HIE fare, but was clean and well-stocked. The cons were the age of the facility and the space. The room was incredibly tight, with very little room to walk around the furnishings. More what I expect from a downtown hotel than one in the 'burbs. The common area/lobby was also incredibly small with too few tables to accommodate the guests eating during peak breakfast hours. I would recommend this hotel for someone traveling for business alone, not for a family trip.

Good Hotel very well connected.

The hotel room I stayed in was dirty. The room had 2 double beds. I had to wipe down the entire room using my Lysol wipes. Yes, there was dirt. The toilet seat was cracked in half. When I called and reported it they had no rooms available with the same amenities. So we stayed in the room. The sheets were clean (I used a light). I've been in hospitality for 10+ years so I know how customer service is supposed to be. The staff needs more training on verbiage and how to speak to a customer. I was charged for the toilet being broken and for supposing smoking in the room. I am not understanding why I was charged for something the hotel couldn't fix and because they saw an empty box of cigs they charged me? I had kids in my room if I don't smoke in front of them at home. Why would I do it in closed room? I would like management to contact me. I tried no call backs! Thanks.

I was only there overnight. Rooms are comfortable and very fairly price. Free breakfast in the morning was great. Food was fresh and I was happy with the stay.

It's at a nice place and not very far from o hare Airport. Very good staff, good breakfast, clean room, iron available in room. Very nice and fresh walking area around.

Room was very nice. Hotel seems a little older but looks as though it was recently remodeled. Breakfast was good and location was also very good.

I checked in on 7/12 around 3pm. I had my room reserved for two nights. When I arrived it seemed nice the lady in the front desk joked around a little with my friend but when it was time to check us in she couldn't find our reservation. The receptionist "Katie" made me feel uncomfortable when she joked and said she couldn't find my reservation since I have two last names. At that moment the manager was near by and she said a rude comment like "Well all Hispanic people tend to have two last names" not only was that the most racist and rude comment I've heard, but she kept asking if I was over age to check into the room WHEN CLEARLY MY ID WAS IN HER HANDS! Now that was the most uncomfortable checking experience ever. Customer service is fine but she needs to watch what comes out her mouth. Over all I had a great stay at this holiday inn and I'll definitely be staying there again when ever I'm back in town. House keeper service was friendly and so was the manager on duty (Danny)

Manager reception was awesome. Staff was amazing. This hotel actually had a microwave in the room unlike the Hyatt down the street. Danny was very informative about attractions and things to do in the area and was willing to help me out with all the questions I had. The price was amazing and the rooms are well kept. Unlike other hotels around here the housekeeping staff respects you. Will definitely be staying here Everytime.

Quiet place, located close to restaurants and shops.

Amazing hotel. New renovations look nice. I stayed here previously and the way the place looks now is a way better look. The managers were friendly and welcoming this time around. I believe the 2 gentlemen were new to the company if they are they are starting on a good path of success.

This place was amazing. I had a rough start but it ended very very well. The Operations Manager (Danny) was so friendly. He went above and beyond to do what he can to make me a happy guest.

We walked in to book our room that night after flying in from Phoenix. We had a HORRIBLE experience at a hotel across the street. The front desk staff was so helpful and got us into a room right away. They also were quick to bring our crib to the room. The room was clean and quiet.

This place is all around beautiful and great over the top staff! Breakfast was so good with so many choices and my room was spotless and bed was so comfortable, love this place.

Overall good enough hotel, but overcharged and management will not return money or phone calls. I am pretty easy to please — all I expect is good value for the money, clean place to stay and that the hotel delivers what it promises. This is the first negative review I have written. This is only after many phone calls to hotel and emails with their upper management team (IHG) without resolution. Good aspects: Good value for the money, good breakfast — great staff member ov…erseeing breakfast, good location, clean rooms (although very small).
Frustrations: In my initial reservation, I had reserved for 3 adults and 1 child (15). There was an extra $10 per night charge for the extra adult. As the time approached, my adult daughter was unable to join us on this leg of our vacation. When I checked in, I told the desk attendant that we would only have two adults and one child. I asked him to make a change in the reservation and cost. He indicated that he was unable to do this — that I had pre-paid with the online service and I would need to contact them. When I called the online service, they indicated that the hotel was the one who charged my card and was the only one that could make the correction. (I had communicated to the desk worker that I thought I was paying the hotel directly — which in the end was correct). My credit card bill reflected this as well. The hotel billed my credit card the day after I departed the hotel.

There was a charming young man at the front desk named Daniel. He was extremely helpful in making my stay amazing.

Rooms good and big, Breakfast not amazing.

I only stayed one night for, at the most, 9 hours, but the workers were very friendly, my floor was quiet, and the room was very clean. I will definitely stay in more holiday inns when I travel.

The staff was very nice and accomodating 100% of the time. The complimentary breakfast was good. The room was large and had comfortable furniture. The pillows are very soft. Everything was clean. It's not fancy, but it was exactly what a hotel should be in this price range. The friendly staff were a really nice touch.

Had a great stay! Beds and pillows were super comfortable — not those little "half pillows" you get at some places these days! Breakfast was also great — good variety to choose from, and everything was good!

Decent hotel, I only stayed here for 2 days but the rates are good and there is plenty of stuff to do close by.

Noreen the manager was useless, accused us of fraud even though we had room certificates from the Chamber of Commerce; we proved her wrong, everything was legit, but charged our room anyway, never apologized. Rude the whole time. Desk was broken with exposed wood/large slivers; bathroom was mostly caulk; head boards were decrepit, and the "free Wi-fi", couldn't get on; the Wigan at the desk when we complained couldn't get on. awful awful experience.

The Holiday Inn Express was nice, clean, and breakfast was great. My only complaint was it was pretty cold in the hallway and breakfast area. We kept our room at 69 degrees or so and the hallway felt much, much cooler (it was late fall). The location is great — close to Ikea, the Woodfield Mall, and lots of great restaurants.
