We made a spur of the moment decision to stay at this hotel and we are glad we did. Free covered parking, large rooms with tall ceilings, nice and clean rooms, clean breakfast room with a lot of variety. My only major complaint would be the lack of an air conditioner in the rooms. Most hotels have this unit in the individual rooms, which serves as a fan noise that everyone in my family needs to sleep. This hotel does not have the units in room, thus no fan noise. However, a quick app download on my phone quickly solved this tiny hiccup. A safe in the room would have also been appreciated, as those travelling often have items that they want/need to keep safe. Lastly, the swimming pool area is in need of some tlc. The roof was rusty as were the pillars near the door. Kind of off putting when your young child wants to swim.

Hotel staff was friendly and attentive. No waits. Fresh cookies. Rooms and buildings clean and updated. Convenient free parking. Would return if in the area again.

We made a last-minute decision to stay here and we did not regret it! The room is nice and clean. Bathroom had hot water with good pressure. They served a decent breakfast too (sausage links and scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal, waffles, etc).

Stayed for 3 nights. Comfortable and well appointed. I didn't get a chance to explore the pool or fitness room or the continental breakfast. Great location by the river and Old Town, and there is a nice trail for running, walking, or biking right out back.

Very quiet place off the main drag. Close to the Casino, but not close enough to get casino traffic or noise. You could walk to the casino, but the casino has a large bridge entryway making the walk look much shorter than it is. This is not on the highway, and it feels like you are going back into a housing area when finding it. You can also park below the hotel, but not really underground, which is nice to keep the car out of the weather. Rooms are clean and breakfast is good for this class of hotel, it is what you expect you should get.

Beds are very hard and I asked for a room with good working air conditioning and the rooms that I ended up getting me never got cooler than 68ﾟ after turning it down to 50 on the 1st day over a 2 day period… If the bed was more comfortable and the air conditioning worked.

Beautiful and charming location, friendly service, clean and comfortable with warm cookies all day! What's not to love? We will definitely be going back.

We had an amazing stay. My kids said, "It was the best nights sleep they ever had in a hotel! " Great gym, convenient parking, and loved the friendly service! Definitely will be back!

This hotel is tucked away right next to the Ameristar Casino. It's clean, quiet, and the staff is very polite and helpful. The beds are firm, but comfortable. Rooms were clean and housekeeping did a nice job. Breakfast was quite good. They had Belgian waffle makers, some fruit, oatmeal, eggs and bacon, cereal and milk. It's a comfortable walking distance to Main Street in St Charles, though I'd probably drive over to the casino. Parking is free and part of it is a covered garage.

Wow. This place is amazing. I’ve only just checked in but already have so many good things to say. Theresa at the front desk went out of her way to check me in and make me feel welcomed. She spoke to me like we were old friends. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is fantastic. Not being from the area I️ asked her for food recommendations to which she gave me plenty. I️ ended up going to the BBQ place next door which was also awesome. I️ have only good things to say about this place and would recommend to anyone!

We stay here every time we're in town. It's a very homey little hotel. The staff have always been friendly. There is underground parking on site which is handy if the weather is bad. There's a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The rooms are nice and clean. We always ask for an upper floor on the river side of the hotel because it is quiet. They have free breakfast every morning with waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit and toast. They have complimentary coffee and fresh fruit all the time in the lobby. They even have chocolate chip cookies every evening. We've never had a bad experience here. It's right on Main Street in the historic part of town. You can walk to restaurants and shops as well as the First Missouri State Capitol building. There's even a good BBQ restaurant next door. The Lewis and Clark Boat House and museum are very close by. The shops are really nice with a wide variety of merchandise. If you love historical architecture you need to come and explore St Charles.

Located right on the Katy trail in the old historic district in St. Charles is a wonderful hotel, Country Inn and Suites. The staff was very friendly, the room was larger than normal with a nice sitting area, the fitness center was small but nice, and the indoor pool was a good addition. Free cookies never hurt anything either! In such close proximity to the Katy trail, the Missouri river, dozens of quaint and interesting shops, and great places to snack or get a full meal, this hotel would be difficult to beat; we definitely will be coming back!

Decor needs updating and it isn't the fanciest place to stay, but local bars were great. Friendly staff.

Very nice and clean hotel. The facility was relatively up to date. Very nice amenities, including a pool, complementary free breakfast, Wi-Fi and work out room. Located in St. Charles historic district. Walking distance to places to eat and night life. Off street parking under the hotel.

Stayed during new years. Breakfast was good and rooms were very clean. It's our 2nd time there and will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Delicious coffee and many breakfast options. They even called before we arrived to offer us a room upgrade, which we enjoyed and appreciated. It is located in a very charming and historical street with much to do.

Clean rooms, excellent breakfast, different in style (lobby and exterior) from other country inns I've been to, but in a good way. Parking directly on the hotel lot is meh, but there's enough open free public parking on neighboring lots that it wasn't an issue even with multiple weddings going on and with a fully booked hotel.

Clean rooms, beautiful big windows, and quiet. Nice location. Walkable to Main St. Morning breakfast adequate. Keeps it from getting 5 stars. Also, coffee in the lobby all day is nice. Just overall a nice looking hotel.
