I enjoy going to this casino. I visit on an infrequent basis, but on the locations that I do visit, I always have a good time. Sometimes I just go to meet with friends at the sports bar for food and drinks and to watch the games displayed on their many TV screens. The wait staff is always ready to provide great service to meet our needs individually and as a group. On the times that I choose to visit the casino, the service people are friendly and helpful and I usually never have a problem to report.

The Ameristar is great! I specifically love the Landmark buffet, they have a delicious brunch on Sundays. The rooms are generally very clean and they have a lovely view. The interior is great for pictures whether it's for prom or weddings. The hotel has a beautiful lobby and it's a comfortable spot to lounge around and chat. The staff is generally very friendly. My only complaint is that the casino reeks of cigarette smoke. Other than that, it's a great!

This rating is for the buffet at Ameristar Casino. An hour and a half in line to see that there are large lines standing for different food items. And they were out of a lot of items every time I went to look. Food quality was seriously lacking and for the price it would have been better to eat at McDonald's or Golden Corral because that was the quality at best! They used to have a decent dessert bar but that was seriously changed and I would never recommend this to anyone.

GAMBLING wise not my favorite casino but hotel wise and amenities are amazing. Of course that shows in the price of even a standard room. Which the standard room provides two full or a king size bed with a flat screen TV, a sitting area with a couch and chair and coffee table and another TV is provided. The bathroom also has a TV and there is a shower and a separate whirlpool tub, two sinks and in a separate room is just the toilet. Great heated indoor and outdoor pool open year round also.

Very lovely place to stay. The rooms were very nice the beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and told us to let them know if there was anything we needed. The casino is amazing it's huge and literally has something for everyone. The restaurants in there are amazing as well and the staff is great too. I would definitely stay again and will be going back hopefully in the near future.

The buffet is delicious. Great selection and I always love to see what specials they have going on. Their Asian stir fry station is awesome. They just got a new ice cream machine too. Makes the creamiest soft serve.

Ameristar sits along the St. Charles riverfront right off Highway 70. It's a beautiful casino with extravagant and well priced rooms at the hotel. The actual casino has thousands of slot machines and the tables are always packed. There's lots of restaurants both inside and around the casino. Most of the restaurants inside the casino are family friendly. It's also about 30 minutes away from downtown St. Louis so you can easily drive back and forth.

Beautiful and unique and huge. This place was well maintained with lots of restaurants and food choices. The room was five star plus. Clean, spacious with tons of amenities. The casino had three levels with a small non-smoking area. Breakfast at the diner was a treat. Shonnel impacted our dining experience with her happy, helpful demeanor. Need more folks like her for sure. We will come back to enjoy another Ameristar awesome good time!

For how much we paid for this room, we were expecting a stellar experience. Our Saturday night room rate, with tax, was $380. However, several things really shocked and disappointed us about our stay: 1. Around 9 am Sunday morning, someone (I can only hope it was housekeeping) entered our room without even knocking! They must have heard our voices and retreated back out before we could see who it was. Either way, this should NOT have happened! I noticed that we were not even given a "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door, even if we had wanted to. But regardless if a sign was hanging on the door or not, they should ALWAYS knock before entering a room! 2. It seems we were only given ONE roll of toilet paper, and ran out in the middle of the night. Since my friends were all still sleeping, I didn't want to stumble around in the dark, find the phone, make a call, and have to wait outside in the hall for someone to bring some, so we used kleenex until I could call in the morning. But that's unacceptable to not have spare rolls of toilet paper in the room. 3. There were pieces of trash/litter in the hallway, and a room service tray full of half eaten food sitting in the hallway for hours, despite seeing hotel staff moving around on that floor constantly. Not to mention a giant used towel bin (from room service) sitting in our hallway overnight, from the time we checked in until the time we checked out (almost 24 hours). 4.

I went here to party with my dance group. We had a great time. We were at the bottle neck bar and another location within the casino on different nights. They were private events. I gambled a little and lost my little $40. It was all good. My friends went to a sandwich spot in the casino and said the sandwiches were pretty good.

I am casino people, so I won't give a bad rating based on winning or losing. Like any casino there are winning and losing days. The buffet is pretty good and the atmosphere is like any casino. Loud and bright. It is not my casino of choice because there is one closer to me but we are in St. Charles we go here for a change. There is a nice trendy bar on the casino floor. It also features all the newest slots as well as your older favorites, located upstairs. Check it out, you will have fun.

Here working the registration for a state association's conference. Room is very nice but far away from conference center part of the building. Staff at hotel and conference center are great! Facility very nice for a conference of our association's size except for long walks everywhere. The distance between meeting rooms and hotel rooms was difficult for some of our older members. Really enjoyed the service at the three different restaurants I've eaten at but the serving sizes were very skimpy at the steakhouse for the price.

It's no Vegas mega casino, but it's pretty darn nice for a market the size of the STL metro area. Good selection of pricey, but pretty good restaurants. Parking is free and plentiful, even on busy weekends. The casino is nice and doesn't reek of smoke like some smaller casinos. The attached hotel and spa are *very* nice. All in all a pretty great little hotel and casino.

We had Valentine's Dinner at the buffet and it was delicious! Every thing was fresh and hot and tasty. My only complaint was with dessert. The ice cream machine and the chocolate fountain were both down, but the ice cream toppings and cones were still out. It's hard to explain that to a little kid.

I came here for dinner recently. It was neat just to walk through the building and see the architecture. The meal was a little pricey but the service was excellent. I would recommend going even if you don't gamble.

Great place to go to get away from your normal life. Just remember to only bring money you won't be devasted about losing and wear a watch or make sure your phone has a full charge, because never know what time it is without one or the other. Otherwise… Fun environment, clean, and courteous staff.

When I want to treat myself are my co-workers to a little bit of local luxury, I always go to the Ameristar Casino. It's hard to find a better value for the dollar in the St Louis area. The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished, clean, tastefully decorated, and well-maintained. The bathrooms come with whirpool tubs and glass and tile enclosed showers designed to keep you nice and toasty. The staff there is always friendly,. Professional, and eager to fulfill any request made of them.

I ate at the Landmark Buffet today for the first time and had a great meal. Everything I tried was good, and I sampled a wide variety. My meal was comped for my birthday month. It's probably more than I would normally spend on myself, so I appreciate the gift Ameristar. Thank you!

It's an ok locals casino; not a destination resort. Hollywood Casino down the street has nicer rooms. Ameristar could use a renovation. There appears to be done type of remodel going on the lowest levels of the parking garage/ self parking entrance. It has been going on for years now. Doesn't feel very safe. It can seem spooky when you are the only one down there. Slots are hit or miss. Packed on weekends. It's not bad. 3 of 5 stars.

I went to Ryse to attender EDX and had a lot of fun.

We enjoyed time at the sports bar. They had a variety of pub food and drinks. We also went to the banquet hall upstairs which was very nice. It had a good space for cocktail hour and accessible bathrooms just outside the hall. It worked well for the wedding we attended.

Very nice & clean casino & hotel. Good food, but not real cheap. The casino is the best around imo. Staff is very friendly & it's a good place to gamble. Have very large variety of slots & table games. If you enjoy casinos & your in the area give this one a try.

Came here with some friends while visiting St. Louis. This casino and hotel combo is pretty massive, they have a nice hotel, spa, multiple restaurants and buffets and a two floor casino. They have a very large variety of slot machines that you can choose from with the min bets varying which is nice. They also offer free soda and coffee while you are in the casino gambling. The hotel is a bit pricey compared to what a lot of Vegas casino hotels cost. Overall we had a fun time while visiting and I would come back if I am in the St. Louis area again.

I didn't stay at the hotel or use the spa. My family and I went there after dinner for the first time just to gamble. 2 floors of gaming is nice to see, haven't been to many casinos outside of Vegas but don't see that often. Valet parking is nice also. I never give 5 stars but in this case they are missing staple games like wheel of Fortune, and the newest games I've seen were slim in count. Lots of quick hits which I am in favor of love them, but there were too many. Wish newer games had more floor space.

I played here and the dealer won Ultimate Texas Holdum 10 times out of my 1. Now tell me how that's even statistically probable? It's not. This is a great place to lose money. The food is not as cheap as I thought It would be either. Aside from all of that, the area seems to be really clean on the inside. The bathrooms are luxurious. The employees seem to be nice people too.

Ameristar Casino is a great place to go if you feel like gambling, simply wanting some good food, and/or need a hotel room. The restaurants have top notch food. The buffet is really popular but I wasn't a huge fan. They serve alcohol later than the rest of Missouri, I think until 2:30 instead of 1:30. I guess because they are technically on a boat. You often see people come in from Fifth Street to continue drinking. Anywho, they have security that I've seen help people in the parking lot a few times and they have friendly staff there. That's about all there is to say. I don't like gambling other than to throw a $20 bill in an electronic gambling game. So, I can't comment much on that.

Great location. Great perks. The hotel even gave me a complimentary hotel room. Worth a visit if passing through. Ameristar pub has a wide selection to please the picky & simple.

Fantastic hotel. Staff was really good. We only stayed overnight, but it was fantastic. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again.

Review of casino: An overall great atmosphere with the stained glass look on the ceiling, two floor design with the top floor looking down on the first floor. Everywhere was clean and the staff was plentiful and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the fire alarm went off on the top floor and was very loud for about 5 minutes. Other than that I would highly recommend the casino.

It's a gorgeous Casino and Hotel. Everything looks high-class and very contemporary. There was always something to look at or an amenity to enjoy. Lots of casino games, restaurants, night clubs. Also a good hotel to stay at to take a weekend away with kids.

So, where to begin came across this casino as we where traveling through the town since it was a casino we thought it be easy to just stop and play and have some drinks, we arrived to where the semi parking is located and. Realized they don’t even have a vehicle service for truckers, my partner is handicap and have never been disrespected so horribly not just by the staff after spending more than $400 at this location we realized that after they promised they would send a car to help take us back, to our truck but they had refused to do what was promised so. Not only where they rude, lack customer service. But it took them more than expected to have them send a car, we ended up paying a taxi guy after the long Wait. I have called several times to let them know what I was told. We where Rudely told to “oh well! Your just going to have to walk! ” After they new their was a handicap individual with us! Never again will I stop to this location after all that! I mean horrible!

Came for the daughters birthdays. Check in was very fast and friendly. (Was not informed of the tight hours for swimming for minors) Had we known they would have no time to swim we would have gone some place else for the amount of $$ that was spent. I did change our rating from a 2 to a 4. When we talked to the front desk the lady gave us a extra hour to check out. When we went down to swim this morning there was a lady that got us our bands to swim and she was amazing, probably one of the sweetest and most thoughtful person that we ran into during our stay.

Spacious and comfortable rooms! House keeping was slow to get to our room on the end of the hallway, however, very accommodating. Prices in the food service places were higher than expected for a hotel/casino! Main observation and complaint — from the multilevel parking garage it was necessary to take an elevator down to the lobby level, and then take another elevator up to the room? Rather impractical, and somewhat annoying. Additionally — of the 6 or 8 elevators installed for the hotel, at many times only two (2) were available, thereby creating a longer than necessary wait! The water fountain at the entrance to the casino was well engineered and quite beautiful, and fun to observe!

Lost phone and had to deal with security and received the best service from one security officer in particular. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name. I did call the manager to let him know. In this day and age it's rare to come across a caring person and I truly appreciated his service.

I have always maintained that life is too short for cheap booze, cheap cigars, cheap food and especially cheap hotels. We deserve the finer things especially when it comes to vacation or away from home lodging. I have no idea how old the Ameristar Casino and adjoining hotel are, but it feels brand new. Now, I’m no gambler. In fact, I never even spent a dime in the casino during my stay. In fact, I was only on the Casino because I made a wrong turn while looking for the room where my Conference was being held. So, this review is not about the casino. Though, I’m sure it’s sufficient. This review is about the hotel. It’s gorgeous. Seriously, the owners of this place really spent some coin on the design and execution of the customer experience. The moment you walk into the lobby, you feel the opulence of the place. From the soaring ceilings, to the modern appointments, you feel like you’re in a refined place. Then you get to your room, and that is anything but disappointing. Wow is all I can say. I stayed in room 508 on the Spa and Pool level. You walk in and feel like you’re in luxury. The bathroom is HUGE with a double granite vanity, large soaking tub and separate shower, and water closet. It even houses one of the three flat screen TV’s in the room, just in case you have to have TV while, “doing your business. ” Very cool. Next, is a very nice oversized King bed with averagely appointed pillows and duvet.

I visited a family member staying at the hotel. Her room was lovely and quite comfortable. We spent time in the arcade with my child, and she had a ball. We also visited the bakery for tasty treats. My only complaints were that the Falcon Diner closes at 4 pm Sun-Thurs, and we really wanted shakes! We also would have appreciated a few more cafe tables by the bakery (and larger ones as well! )

Good buffet. Good to great rooms. Often wonderful entertainment weather private weddings or bands. Sports bar and lounge/casual dining very good as well. Some day I'll get lucky;)!

Pool closed though it was advertised as open on the website. Restaurants hours also vary from the listed hours. My friend revived cold food at Amerisports bar & Grill. I ordered room service and it never came and drinks were a little overpriced. The rooms were nice though and staff was friendly.

I was only there to eat breakfast / lunch with my grandparents. I enjoyed the meal. The eggs tasted great. Not a fan of thier hash browns though. But I don't like them much anyways. Overall good service and good food. 4 out of 5

Great views, nice rooms. Staff are super accommodating. The staff (emily) went above and beyond with making us feel welcome and cared for. Very gracious. Only downside was the smoking at the pool, which you can't really get away from.

I would give a very low rating to food served at the sports bar or The Falcon, the buffet is tolerable at best. The upstairs dining for members that are preferred or higher is only worth it if you're starving and want to eat something free, would never pay for it. The slots fee like their set at the lowest payout percentage to meet legal standards, no matter what the casino says they are very tight slots. The rooms are not bad other than the TV remotes never work very well and sometimes the phone don't work at all.

This review is for the Falcon Diner. The food is really good. I recommended the " Loosen Your Belt French Toast". The issue with this place is not the food, it's getting your food to the table. Our server was incredibly nice, and attentive. Unfortunately, it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. She told us they were short in the kitchen. Then, we saw a 3 top table that was seated after us, get their food very quickly, which left us puzzled. Great food, but service can be sketchy.

Had a great lunch at Falcon's Diner. The French toast and Philly were delicious, and service was friendly and attentive. The hotel room was my favorite with a huge bathroom, sunken living room, and 3 TVs. So plush and comfy. Pool and hot tub area were extra nice too. Breakfast in the room was really good, too. Had a player's breakfast and omelette. All was better than expected except the soda… The soda was extremely small for the money. Casino was just ok. Some fun slots but I never fare very well here and it's very difficult to earn comps here it seems.

Bottleneck Blues Bar: Got kicked out of bottleneck blues bar after having less than one drink. I asked the bouncer if I could take the bud light bottle I just bought to the bathroom and he said OK. I come back to get back in and he says "Security says you're too intoxicated" and refuses to let me back in after I paid a cover less than 10 minutes ago. There was a line out the door and the bar was packed so this was simply an attempt to collect cover charges. Such a scam! I offered to walk a straight line, eye test, breathalyze, etc. They said it didn't matter. Will never go back and I recommend you stay away if you plan on drinking half a beer or more.

Got kicked out. I had nothing to drink. They were like we smell alcohol so please follow me and escorted me out. Hilarious. Didn't matter what I said their goal was to get me to leave. I played for 2 hours, was up 200% and they pulled away from 6 friends and kicked out. Hilarious on their judgement. I really hadn't had 1 drink in the casino. Seriously I would love to watch the tapes. I will never go there again or promote that place in any way. What a dump. I liked it for a few reasons, I'm not a local any more but, wow. What a low low class place. Such low class. Must be nice having nothing to do. What losers. I will never go in again. I know my money won't break u. But over time. Ull see the decline. Sad day. Hire better people with better common sense. You guys suck.

If one reads the other bad reviews, it's very obvious Ameristar has an alcohol problem. I plan to be at their next liquor license review with all bad reviews concerning bad actions by Ameristar security involving patrons who have consumed ANY alcohol. If they can't keep from turning on patrons like rabid dogs for having a few drinks, not being drunk mind you, just a few drinks, if that, they certainly DO NOT NEED A LIQUOR LICENSE! If you have made the mistake of reserving a room here, you couldn't possibly do yourself a bigger favor than canceling it and staying ANYWHERE else, under a highway overpass comes to mind.

I'm alergic to smoke. I could not walk through the slots to get to a table because of the old smoke smell that has I'm bedded itself in the carpet. There was no one even smoking that I saw. Had to leave before I had to heave.

Terrible room and service (and over priced! ) : Had several issues with the room: An alarm was going off in the middle of the night (3:30 AM) saying that there was no emergency (then why is there an alarm), the room never cooled below 75 degrees and both phones were broken in the room. When I informed first the desk worker and then the supervisor their response was: well you should've used a cell phone or come down to the lobby. Why is it my fault that these were issues and moreover, why would I get dressed in the middle of the night, go down to the lobby and then have someone walking through essentially my bedroom? No refund of any kind offered.

For Christ's sake, DON'T EAT THEIR ROOM SERVICE! I repeat DO NOT EAT THEIR ROOM SERVICE FOOD! On chriatmas eve, my boyfriend ate a hamburger from room service being that's all he ate all day, hours later he was as sick as a dog! Not to mention the lady who took our order over the phone was rude and you could sense the attitude in her voice! Like, where do they find these people! When we checked out the next day we notified the front desk that their food made him sick, the front desk guy reply was "Sorry to hear that" he couldn't have been anymore obvious on how much he cared less, he didn't even ACT like he cared. Besides the pool (which I give my one star to) the whole experience was terrible. I'll stay at the Four Seasons downtown next time never seemed to have not a problem ever and the staff definitely makes you their first priority its definitely better service than this place.

Nice clean comfy poker room. Cashier in poker room closes at some point so you have to walk through casino with your racks of chips to cash out.

I had fun at this place but the service sucks. I ask a gentleman if he can send a waitress to me but no answer so I stop my game n went to the bar for my beer. Later that night I ask for a coke. Waiting over a hour n still didn't get my coke. So I left.

Didn't stay at the casino, so my review has nothing to do with that — my hubby was craving oysters, and Pearls Oyster Bar was the closest place. Was really disappointed. My husbands oysters on the half-shell weren't very fresh and were on the small side. Two were completely inedible, and the waiter replaced them, as well as gave him a two additional, which was appreciated. I ordered the crab and shrimp steamer, which I thought was a steam pot, like you would get at joes crab shack. It turned out to be a plate with a cob of corn, 3 small red potatoes, 1 small cluster of overcooked crab legs, and three ridiculously overcooked shrimp swimming in a bowl of ultra salty tomato soup. Close to $70 on two under par meals, left hungry and unhappy. Sad that a good waitstaff is stuck serving bad food.

Morons. Somehow these idiots never give me a working key every single time I go. It's like they haven't been doing it hundreds of times for years and years or something. Why does my key not work EVERY SINGLE TIME? I am sick of going up and down from room to desk and back multiple times on every visit. How hard is it you morons.

I love Ameristar. We go to the Landmark Buffet as often as possible. We have stayed at the hotel several times, every once in a while there might be a little glitch, but for the most part, the people who work there are GREAT, they all seem to truly understand the importance of customer service and do what ever they can to make you feel welcomed. Bugatti's is fantastic, pricey but wonderful and a romantic ambiance. The pool / hot tub — top notch. Slots are a little tight, but what can I say?, take what you can afford to lose and enjoy the experience. It's high class all of the way. They serve a LOT of people everyday, and with a rate like that, there will be some errors, but rotten reviews don't sound right. Seriously. It is a fantastic (relaxing) getaway whether it is for an afternoon or a whole weekend. I'm just stunned by the bad reviews, if I sound defensive it is only because I absolutely LOVE Ameristar, and I highly recommend it. (and, no, I don't have stock — I used to. ).
