Reviews of La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Bloomington 2*
On July 10, 2021, I called the La Quinta in Bloomington Indiana twice to arrange for a reservation on July 11, however no one answered either time. I was later told the desk clerk was busy too busy to answer the phone. I booked the reservation online after seeing that “Pets are allowed at no charge” in the pet policy on the Wyndham app. When I arrived to check in, my reservation was refused after I told the clerk that I had two dogs. He stated that it was the owner’s policy to only allow one dog under 50 pounds, something not specified in the Wyndham app. The clerk refused to allow me to check in, and a telephone conversation with the manager for short while later had the same result. The contradiction between the telephone app information and the information provided by the La Quinta employees wasted my time and caused me to have to search for another hotel. The clerk and the manager should have erred on the side of customer service when faced with the conflicting policy information. In this case, they failed the prospective guest and failed in customer relations.
Very clean, nice staff, nice area, very comfortable beds and pillows… was very impressed!

Stayed at this location with my wife, child, and two dogs. They have a one dog under 40 pounds policy. Website just says that pets (plural) are welcome. Clerk was very nice and said she would have to approve our 20 pound dog and our tiny chihuahua. Manager allowed it but was rude and condescending. When I tried to explain why I hadn’t asked the policy prior to arriving, he cut me off and was rude. I made a review on the hotel website and within minutes, the same rude manager called my phone. He informed me that he has video and audio recording of his lobby (as if that matters to me). He was unhappy with my review and said it made it sound like he had cussed me out. He clearly has no idea how rude he is. He then told me that I was never allowed to stay at HIS hotel again (as if I would ever consider it again). He obviously has anger issues. I called Wyndham and made an official complaint on this guy. Avoid this hotel!
