Very nice hotel, we have stayed here numerous times and always pleased with cleaniness and staff.

Love the room but the pool has too much chemicals.

Checked in at 2:30 didn’t get a room (made reservations) until 4:00! Not enough maids and don’t pick up all of the trash!

Though the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself was not as expected. Many of the rooms are conjoined and neighbors can be clearly overheard having conversations at normal/reasonable volumes; there's no sense of privacy with such thin walls between each room. The overnight manager was incredibly sweet, understanding and quick to not only switch our room but upgraded it without additional charges. Regardless of the setting we selected, the AC/heat made a loud clicking noise every minute or so, making it unusable. The comfort inn has a wonderful staff but could use a bit more attention to ensuring the rooms are comfortable and functional.

Terrible experience, walls are paper thin can hear someone fart in the next room. Beds were comfortable but wouldn't stay here more than a night. Hotel needs some renovating and staff could be friendlier. Country Inn and Suites across the street was the better experience. Will not stay here again unless I have to.

Bruce at the front desk was very very nice. The tubs had jets in them which rocked and was an unexpected surprise. Pool was cold first day but they put the heater on when I said something the cold pool is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for the price. Breakfast better than. Average and man in breakfast area very nice even made my son a waffle.

My stay was awsome I was there attending my Aunt funeral the staff was very attentative on the day of the funeral it was raining and Ms. Suzanne gave me her personal umbrella and when I returned from the service Jason felt I needed to be in a room alone to rest and I was given a complimentry room becauae I was tired and we had a long ride back and the breakfast the food was hot and fresh one of my guest did not eat pork and we had potatoe bacon dish and she was given a dish with no pork and the hot dish is so good with flavor my room was clean the only thing that need improvement in the two room I stayed in the bathroom door stuck and that could be adjusted I will stay here again.

Nice stay. Room was clean and fresh smelling and included microwave, refrigerator, and small coffeemaker. On duty manager was very pleasant. Hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, etc. Was fantastic and the breakfast attendant was very knowledgable about the area & gave us good advice for visiting the city. Need to have Coke machines and offer cranberry juice at breakfast.

Bed bugs. Beware. I did renovation work here. Don't wanna find out what gets pushed under the rug at this place.

For the most part my stay at Comfort inn was ok (I was here for a month) I see they are doing a lot of work to make the place better (which is needed) Most of the staff was nice especially this lady that work front desk and serve breakfast she was very nice and helpful unfortunately I didn't get her name. And the all the ladies in house keeping was nice always on top of their work! Fresh sheets towels etc Would I come back.? Yes.

Been coming here for 6 weeks now. Great front desk staff, Bruce is wonderful. Will take care of any issues that you have. Laura (who takes care of breakfast) is such a sweet lady. She really enjoys talking with people and making sure your happy. Wonderful.

They were doing some work on the hotel but that didn’t bother us at all. The beds were good of course room showed signs of being older. But the front desk people were so sweet and the breakfast was the best. They even have someone in the room to help you out! We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We hired the hotel x 15 days. The Second day of the pipe master water broke and so we had to be. This is the hallway and the adjoining rooms. Taking in water through the ceiling of our room. Laborers, demolition and noise 24 hours a day. The manager refused to relocate in another hotel even told Expidia that the hotel was in conditions! Poor care and handling of the situation. We said verbatim this is not my problem!

We travel for a living and the beds in our room were in the top 10 of HARDEST beds we have ever slept on! They were HORRABLE. All a traveler wants is a comfortable bed and good shower. We will never return to this location. Ever!

We have been coming here for 6 years. The rooms are very nice, always clean and very comfortable. The staff is very nice, especially house keeping. They will do anything for you here! The pool is clean and fun. We usually have it to ourselves. The breakfast is really nice. We enjoy the fireplace, cookiies, ciffe, cold water and popcorn in the lobby. Wed never go anywhere else! It's number 1 for us!

I stayed at the Comfort Inn on November 18, 2017. When I got home Sunday 11/19/17 I noticed that my diamond necklace was missing so I contacted the hotel. Bruce, answered and was helpful enough to retrieve it from my room and stated it would be put in the safe. I asked how I could retrieve it, since I live over an hour away and was told to send a stamped envelope and they would return it. I waited about 2 weeks and heard nothing and no necklace showed up in the mail. When I called, I spoke with Jim the GM who should NOT be a GM and NOT HELPFUL. I was asking to make sure that they received the envelope and he said he would call me back. I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING! So I called a week later and a woman answered. I explained my situation and she said that Bruce would be in later and he would call. Now, I never received a call from Bruce, but if I had what really could he have done since he isn't a manager and didn't have access to the safe. Do you think Jim every called? NOPE. So I called December 12th and was told that Jim was working December 13th at noon and I could leave him a message, which of course I did. In my message I stated I wasn't sure what more I can do, because no one is calling me back and I think I may need to press charges, since I am not getting help that I deserve. Hoping that this would prompt Jim to call me, NOPE! So here I am December 14th almost a month later and contacted the police who retrieved my necklace.

I have stayed in this hotel multiple time and they have never let me down. Room is great and services are exceptional.

Bad place to stay they would not allow a little diabetic child have a little apple juice they accused people of stealing who never stole anything. My daughter got sick and I asked for help with new blankets and sheets they gave me a sheet and made me leave the old o es in the room till the next day didnt even get a blanket for her. These r rude people I will not stay again.

Comfortable bed clean spacious room. A lot of restaurants close by and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

If you smoke or need to bring your dogs with you wherever you go, this is the place for you. If cigarette smoke or dog dander bothers you, reconsider! Hotel is fine, rooms are fine, beds and pillows actually good. Bathroom run down and moldly. Breakfast decent. For $100/night, I expected a bit more upscale and cleaner. TV all analog stations. Not well soundproofed.

We stayed for about 4 nights for a wedding. Bathroom smelled like piss and bleach. However, the biggest issue is that upon checking out, they assessed us a $60 'Pet Charge' for a pet that we never had. First 'reason' was because 'it showed up on the security camera' and now after multiple calls the 'reason' is because the maid saw it in the room.
Room across the hall had a cat (sign on the door said so, also requesting no room service)
We also had a sign on the do…or requesting no room service.
We DID NOT have a pet. We did have a 4 inch tall beanie baby fox with really large eyes tho.
So in conclusion — I would not recommend staying here. Ever Also want to point out that this 'new official site' was probably set up to distance themselves from the previous 'official' site with a lot of negative reviews. I was charged a pet fee when I never had a pet in the room. They made a mistake, either my room was mistaken for someone else's or they mistook the stuffed animal toy I brought in as a real animal, but the general manager never got back to me to fix this. Terrible customer service. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very accommodating location. Pleasant staff and comfortable and nice rooms. Would recommend for a short or long stay at this hotel.

Location was nice. Rooms were a little on the bad side. The bathtub water wouldn't stop so you could hear it all night. Lights didn't turn on immediately. Service was very nice though.

Stayed here while attending cdl. School. Its okay staff was cool and service was good. Complimentary breakfast was good.

A very comfortable stay. A smaller hotel location, but very hospitable. Love the free breakfast and pool. Plus it's near the Midwest Delorean shop.

Not a bad location. Close to lots of shopping and dining. Good price, good staff although there was a mix up and someone did walk into my room and then I had to prove who I was to the front desk. I didn't like that, but it happens and the staff was very apologetic about an honest mistake. Breakfast wasn't actually terrible, pretty much what youd expect from a choice branded hotel. All in all, one little mistake won't ruin my opinion of them as im sure it doesn't happen often. Id stay there again if I ever needed to.

This place has been like a second home. I am in McHenry building a memory care facility. The staff has made my 9 month stay there fantastic. I have three months to go. I would highly recommend this Comfort inn. That goes for the breakfast, the room are clean and once again the staff is outstanding. Thanks.

My wife and I went there for a quick get away and booked their hot tub room. It was a great time away and nice. We swam in the pool and used the hot tub a number of times. My wife liked the cookies at the front desk and we both liked the free breakfast with the bacon, eggs, potatoes and orange juice for breakfast. Suzanne and Jim gave us a "Crystal Lake Chamber" little extra nice deal. Thank you guys and we enjoyed it.

Location was pretty good, some good stores and food places. Good one to go to is the seaport on Algonquin Rd and main St.

Very rude employees and "rules" no other hote l I have stayed at has. One, you are not allowed to take any of the continental breakfast to your room. Meaning, they do not allow you to eat in the comfort of your own room. The employees running breakfast will make sure to tell you this in the rudest way they can. I seen several fights insue with customers and the workers in the breakfast area because of the rudeness. They will also not let you come to eat in the dining area without shoes and will let u know very rudely to get out and get your shoes on. We were staying for 2 weeks at over $1000.00, while we waited for our house to be ready and brought an electric griddle. We never actually had used it as there were plenty of restuarants in the area however I received a phone call to my room from the general manager saying "it has been brought to my attention you are using a griddle and that is against this hotels policy and if it happens again he will have to tell me and my children to leave the property"! I explained that we were never told this "policy" and had we knew we wouldnt have brought it. I also let him know I did not appreciate the way he was threatning my stay and he was rude, I then asked him if thats how he treats his customers and he says " when its regarding a multi million dollar hotel, yes that is how we treat them"!

The receptionist booked me in room 317. When I go to room 317 and open door it is already occupied the people in room 317 get scared as I was startled wow im thinking. We go back to the front counter. He said he ment 319 but messed up. This should not happen.

Well if u are a smoker they assume u smoked in the room and charge u 250$$ plus the room I tried talking to the manager but he basically called me a liar and still fined me 400$$ be careful before coming to this place they find ways to rip u off.

The star staff and room were amazing. Breakfast had a great selection, and the pool was clean and comfortable.

I have stayed here for two separate weeks on business in the middle of winter. James and the rest of the front desk are very helpful, be sure to take a cookie before you arrive to your room. Housekeeping was helpful, also. If you need them to do something for you, don't hesitate to leave a note. The best thing about the hotel is the location — it is in the middle of every store, shop, and restaurant imaginable!
