Review of Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago 5*

I am writing this review after two years of me living at the Trump Towers Chicago. I love the condo side of the building and loved staying here for the time I was in Chicago. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for their complete lack of improving the in-room dining experience for their residents. There in-room dining team failed at so many levels that its not even funny. I regularly order in-room dining 2-3 times a week and don't get me wrong the food is amazing but there service and lack of responsibility sucks and scares me that how they can call themselves a 5 star hotel property when they can even get their order right 67% of the times (yes I have been tracking there # for last 3 months). They would go out of there way to screw up your order where ever possible even though I have been living here for 2 years and have been eating from them 2-3 times a week. I have spoken to there director of food and beverages twice in past 6 months where he promises that things would improve and get better. I even told them how to — please just recheck the stuff that has been ordered before leaving the kitchen — stuff on the cart should match exactly whats was ordered — how hard can this quality check really be? But still NOTHING. They would still manage to screw up orders and then go back all the way to the kitchen to fix it and waste my time and their own time. It is so inefficient for their own business. Don't do it for me — do it for yourself guys. I gave them a chance to improve but its a shame that I don't think people can change and neither any of the improvements seem to happen in the in-room dining department. There GM really needs to understand how bad it really makes an experience for a person when the orders are wrong or they forget things more than 50% of the times. Other than the rough experience of in-room dining — Trump Towers is a great property to live in downtown Chicago. Good staff and great doormen. Very convenient location to pretty much anything you can imagine in the city. Would recommend living at the property or staying at the hotel without ordering from their in-room dining.
