Breakfast is the typical continental but it's well stocked, as in we came before closing time and everything is still available, sconce newly baked. Most important of all, the lady personel in charge is very courteous and friendly.

I booked my room and was given a rate. J happened to stay at another Marriott and was given a health care worker discount. I called the TownePlace suites in Champaign and asked if I could apply this to my stay with them. I was told “sure, no problem “. The reception said she was the only one working and didn’t have time to look up the rate so she would apply a government rate and it will be fine. When we checked in we did not have identification as government employees so they wouldn’t honor the rate. When I called after our stay the manager argued with me even though I had a email confirmation with the price so I ask the assistant manager who gave me the rate to please call me. A week later and she will has not. She emailed me their government employee discount policy instead. I email her back explaining the situation and she did not respond. Terrible customer service!

I came for a career fair and wanted to stay nearby to the fair. I was placed in room 501, went to change and a strange woman walked into my room while I was half dressed. I was shocked and embarrassed. She said she was given room 501 and that she'd leave and go to the front desk. I called the front desk immediately to report the situation, I was told "I'm sorry". Seriously "I'm sorry"? I said that's all you're going to say/do? Just know that this place is not well kept as upon leaving for dinner I had to inform the front desk to please take out the 5th floor garbage as it smelled like someone died on the floor, the manager was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend nor ever stay at this hotel ever again. I will recommend the Campus hotel — the iHotel is beautiful, clean and that experience would not happen there. Shame on you!

Called ahead to make sure everything went smoothly. Even checked in online, got there and they wouldn't verify our room and we had to find another place to stay.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and the service was as expected. The location is extremely convenient for access to the engineering quads of UIUC. Would highly recommend parents of engineering students to stay here.

The queen suite is a great size with an awesome kitchen! Good size refrigerator with a freezer, as well as a two stovetop induction stove. Pretty clean, helpful staff, and a great place to stay when visiting the University of Illinois!

One of the nicest townhouse suites I've been in. Brand new building and spacious room. Great location for UIUC visitors and near a bunch of great restaurants.

Great staff they were helpful. It was clean and modern. They have a kitchen in the room and if you need additional appliances you can ask for them at the desk. They had games for the kids to check out too. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great time with Jeremy the bartender who went above and beyond to supply utensils, pans, spices and personally to our dinner experience while we used the grill. He took care of everyone outside and inside… when he didn't have to! Thanks again Jeremy.

One of the worst Marriott properties where being a loyal Marriott customer (Gold or Platinum) is not appreciated. Studios are very small and several rooms have "wall" views. The breakfast items are not renewed, and they quickly run out of them. It deserves one star just for the location and for being a brand-new building. Other than that, the management and the rooms deserve 0 stars.

This is a great place to stay. Stayed here for one night. Love the environment and people here. I would recommend coming back to this hotel.

This is one of the best places to stay if you’re visiting anyone at the university of Illinois Champaign campus. This hotel is only a few year old and the rooms a fantastic. Downside — rooms are pricey for a TownePlace suites and the staff needs some training.

I have stayed here twice. The first time was a great experience so I booked another room, but this time was less than stellar. If this was my only experience I would have given it one star. When I made my reservation to come back I asked that I be in a two room suite since my daughter would be staying with me and walked in to find that I was in a single room. Being Dads weekend I knew that the hotel was booked so I just dealt with it knowing that the hotel was booked and wouldn’t be able to move. Second I found out that you should ask to get a room that faces green st or the side of the building. My room was facing the alley which in itself isn’t a big deal, I wasn’t getting the room for the view, but across the alley is the HVAC unit for the apartments and it goes off at 20 min intervals that create a resonating hum in the room that with not allow you to get a complete nights sleep. The “breakfast” is quite poor. The space is cramped and if someone brings a family down you might as well walk to McDonald’s down the street. The positives would be that you are walking distance from everything and they have a parking garage so you don’t have to struggle to find a spot but it is $7 a day. Honestly I can’t wait to go home and get some well deserved rest.

Great location off Green St. Brand new hotel. Rooms were very nice, nice little kitchen. Good Wi-Fi. Parking easy. Will be back.

Super convenient location within 10 minute walk from most places at the University of Illinois. Situated around the main bar strip, although tucked away between buildings so it's not too loud. Amenities are plenty, from business center to kitchens in the rooms. However, the service was less then stellar. Staff members were absent for long periods of time. Paint on certain walls were not complete, which reflects how new this place was.

There was a dog barking all night in the room next door to me. The best the manager Tammy Brewer could do was a partial refund. I have stayed here multiple times without issue, but when they failed to provide me a quiet place to sleep I will look for another hotel next time. If its important that you get a good nights sleep you are better off staying elsewhere. Terrible treatement for a long time customer, and no appreciation for my bad experience.

I felt very satisfied with the quality and comfort of the room I stayed in. Great proximity to Green Street, helpful staff, space felt comfortable and clean. Overall it was an awesome experience!

Found 3 German cockroaches in my room. I stayed here in summer of 2016 and found the place clean and the service great but it's gone downhill clearly. Great location but kind of gross.

Great clean rooms, but 0 noise insulation I am in a room facing Green St. And though high up, I can hear extremely loud partying in the surrounding buildings until 2:30am. This is not a special campus weekend, just a random Thursday. Also, I am a heavy sleeper. While we can fault the students for being too raucous, I would think Marriott to really focus on soundproofing the rooms to avoid this extremely known issue of anyone who has ever stepped foot on a college campus. The inner walls indicate the same quality as I can hear just about everything my two neighbors are doing. Nothing to make noise complaints about as examples include hearing them close the blinds, wash their hands, and listen to TV. I stay in hotels roughly 200 + nights a year, and have 1. Never written a negative review, and 2. Have not experienced this loud of noise. I hope to get to sleep soon, but cannot imagine staying here again unless other rooms are extremely different.

Excellent location in heart of the university area and on the main green street. The only downside is the Breakfast with very limited options.

I only stayed for one night, but the room itself, parking availability, and breakfast options were all good. The only thing that was less than optimal was that we requested a room away from the elevator, and were placed directly across from it. Since it is a busy weekend, though, it was not a huge issue.

Great location if you want to be in and around the Campustown. They offer parking in a lot right across from the hotel for 7 bucks per day. Room was a small studio with a little kitchen containing fridge, stove, a few glasses, utensils etc.

I was a guest at the hotel for three days. The manager Tammy was extremely rude to a employee at the front desk of my check in. Housekeeping knocked on my door several times when the room was partially cleaned. I always tip but after the second day I decided not to but I went to the lobby for coffee my wallet was on the desk with coins and five dollars for bagels later. As I'm getting off the elevator I see a black woman with a white collared shirt coming out of my room. My money was missing and my room didn't get cleaned until later. Housekeeping lady was very polite and I told her I was leaving and someone had already been in the room. The housekeeper said truth be told sorry and I apologize you had to experience that seem ginuwine so I let it go. I will rethink my stay at this hotel. Everyone deserves to be treated equally.

Room service was very nice. Had to change our room once because the previous guest broke the room heater but the staff was very cooperative. Staff was very nice too and I came to breakfast late but the staff was very nice and waited for me to take everything I needed before they cleaned up.

Great location on Green Street, close to quad and campus restaurants/bars. Studio room was small but adequate and had many amenities including a kitchenette, coffee pot, laundry basket, pull out sofa. Parking $7/night with in and out privileges.

Stayed here a few times when my company sent me back to recruit. Wonderful rooms that are incredibly spacious feeling despite small square footage. Wifi speeds were great. Cozy bed. Loved the mini kitchen. Also it's close to the bars so you can relive college times on Green St ;)

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. I generally have really good experience with the Marriott chain and this visit was no different. One thing to note is that there is a $7/day parking fee which I was unaware of. I think they waived it as it did not show up on my bill but I'll have to wait and see if it matches my credit card statement. Anyway, the hotel is very new so everything is clean. It located in campustown so if you are easily woken by college students partying you'll have to turn on the fan for ambient noise, but I think it's conveniently located and pretty fun. The hotel staff was very nice and the included Continental breakfast was tasty. The room was very comfortable and clean, as was the bed.

Great, convenient location closed to the university and restaurants. Clean and nice room, courteous staff and great services. The only inconvenience was that we were given a handicapped access room although none in the family was handicapped. The shower area was only blocked from the rest area by the shower curtain and nothing below. As a result, the entire bathroom floor was soaked wet after a shower. I had to wipe the floor with towels for it to be dried quickly each night.

A great hotel. Staff is friendly and the rooms are great. The fully stocked in room kitchen is great for multiple night stays and there's a walgreens right across the street where you can grab food. Parking is 7 bucks a day and is in a covered garage.

Great stay, rooms were perfect and the whole staff wonderful. My one complaint is that the website/confirmation emails need much better, explicit instructions on how to find the parking and entrance. I lived here for 14 years. I only moved away 9 years ago. I read the parking directions and knew which side of which block to find them. But it took me three times circling around in the dark, on one-way streets, dodging pedestrians, to finally guess that the weird, unmarked space between two buildings that looks like a sidewalk was actually where I needed to aim my car to find both the parking and the hotel entrance.

I shared a suite with my friend over 3 nights and the room was new, organized, and clean. The location is convenient for visiting the UIUC main quad, getting food, or entertainments. All the essential supply was included that I had no trouble made myself at home. It was worth the price we paid.

I stayed here in January 2017 in a one bedroom with a king size bed. Everything in there felt brand new and it was kept superbly clean. The kitchenette with fridge, microwave and stove was excellent. The location is perfectly situated amongst lots of restaurants, bars and shops and is not a far walk to the University of Illinois.

Good location. Large room. New. Friendly staff. Odd parking facility. Room seemed to waste a lot of space. Air conditioning was loud.

Location on Green St is awesome and the facility is brand new, nice looking and clean. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette and the beds are comfy enough, even if they aren't great. Overall a good value.

A newly built hotel right next to UIUC. It is jusy perfect except it does not have a bathtub.

I stayed here twice. Giving the place a second chance the second time around just because I really like the location. First time around I was told that TowneSuites would honor the rate code that residence inn honors 7 minutes away. This was a lie and I ended up having to expense lodging outside of my allowed expenses. That and housekeeping was AWFUL! Both times my room was barely "picked up" such an awful job. Towels looked like they were thrown on the racks, the bed looked like the sheets and the duvet was just pulled over, the bed was not made. The bathroom had toiletries on the floor and my toilet paper was not replenished. I would never stay here again. So disappointed.

It's a great hotel for work trips! Rooms have great workspaces for your laptop, kitchenettes for a little cooking, gym for your daily exercise, all the normal amenities.

The rooms are great. Very clean and nice. The Wi-Fi was a little weak. The breakfast was okay. But no need for breakfast with a full kitchen. I was able to cook every meal in my room. Great bike rental shop around the corner. Rented a bike for a few days and the hotel had no issue with me bringing the bike up to my room.

I stayed at Town Place Marriott at Urbana/Champaign from Aug. 16 to 19. Today, Aug. 20, I realized I left some stuff in the freezer. So I called and I heard that they threw them away, which made me very surprised and upset. The reason why I chose Town Place Marriott is that I trusted Marriott service upon my past experience over the world. But this time I was very disappointed in two things. First, the room had a window with a crack. I heard some noise at night from the Green st. Which is very busy street in the campus town. I asked them to give me a quiet room but what I got is the room with a broken window to interfere my work and sleep at night. Second, when I lost a very little even trivial stuff, other hotels (even Inn) kept that item or they called me. But what Town Place Marriott at Urbana/Champaign did was just throwing them away. They didn't even call me. The stuff that I forgot to take from your freezer was frozen food that my mother cooked for me. I admit my initial fault. I should have checked all my items carefully. But at least couldn't they call me before throwing guest's item? I can't help writing this review with very disappointing feeling and getting upset! So, yeah as they said, please check your items double carefully because they would not care!
