Good rates, however, the quality and state of the facility is in need of updating. The attendants were gracious and gave good service during my stay. The location is ideal, near the highway, many food places, and a mall.

This hotel is okay, and will do if you're only there for a night or two. The rooms are slightly run down; the sink faucets were loose, and of course the style is out of date but that doesn't matter. However, I feel like the customer service could be a little more welcoming. The breakfast bar in the morning is nice; there's not a big selection by any means but it's something to get you going until you can get a full meal. Overall it was nice.

COCKROACH INFESTED CRACK DEN Gross! The first room they gave me wasn't cleaned. 2nd room was … gross but "turned" at least that day. But when my toilet stopped flushing and I called the front desk she told me there was nothing she could do. Then showed up 10 minutes later, plopped a plunger on the ground in front of the bathroom door that I had closed because of the noise. And walked out. Yeah its cheap. But basic hospitality and sanitary restrictions come first! crackheads cat called me from the parking lot and cockroaches were in the first dirty room they gave me a key to.

Great little hotel. Came in late, staff was pleasant and courteous. Lobby was well kept. Room was clean and comfortable, with a nice hot shower. Check out was quick and their little Continental breakfast was nice. Will utilize again if in the area.

Motel room was clean. Was told it had been remodeled. Lovely grounds. Great price. Parked out truck right out our room. Breakfast was muffins, coffee and juice. Check in and out by friendly gal. Joined their perks membership. Would definitely stay in future.

So pleased with the service here! I became stranded in Champaign when driving through and my car broke down. I was greeted by a very friendly front desk woman named Hannah. She was so kind and helpful and made a slightly stressful situation so much better! I would recommend staying here. The room was clean and nice as it looks recently re modeled. Comfy bed and pillows!

Do not stay at the red roof inn in Champaign. I waited a bit to say this, gave them a chance to make it right but nothing has been done. I stayed there over night before the funeral and the bed spread and blankets had stains on them. Very obviously not clean. The sheets seemed ok. The toilet roll had 3 squares on it thankfully they left a spare, and the manager concurred that the soap and shampoos were not supplied correctly. Thankfully I did not find bed bugs. I called the manager up to the room and showed her my concerns and while she was polite, there was zero follow up as promised. Too bad because the place looked nice if they maintained it correctly. I feel bad for recommending it to my family.

Only giving this four stars because it’s totally the type of motel where you get exactly what you think you’re going to get. Nothing was wrong at all and staff was super friendly, but there wasn’t anything that blew us away. Hot water, a good shower, microwave and fridge in room, comfortable bed (you have to ask at be front desk for blankets, though), and not a super loud location, even though it’s next to the highway. Small “breakfast” is included and last minute rates are VERY low. Panera, Bob Evans, McDonald’s, Target, Meijer, and good gas stations are all close by.

We got a room with 2 queen sized beds with no problems, no disturbances, and friendly staff, inexpensive when splitting with a few friends. 5 star experience from an economy hotel!

We came to this hotel as a high school team. Four of us stayed in room 248. It was all good UNTIL… there where only 2 towels and 3 wash clothes. With deeper inspection my bed was oddly wet, pillow had piss stains on it on top of a variety of dirt, suspicious white stains on the wall, and are fridge leaked. Then we turned on the A. C. Unit which smelled like a fire, and the floor was sticky. All in all there are better hotels just down the road.

Clean place, comfortable beds. Good price. Be sure to request a room on north side of building because hiway traffic is noisy on south side.

Ok. So, this room cost $45. I'm not expecting a whole lot. So here's a review that will help like minded folks: 1. The bed is a little uncomfortable. It's both stiff, springy, and you can feel the springs. However, for $45 it beats sleeping in my car. This bed would be a deal breaker if I paid more than $70 for the room. 2. The pillows are soft and supportive. The only problem I have is that they are small and they only give you 4 (king room). 3. The room is roughly 200 square feet. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Again, $45 not hoping for much. 4. The room smells weird. It smells like someone had smoked in here (against the rules) and they had to fix it. Not a big deal, thanks for trying to fix it 5. Shower is a shower. 6. Microwave and fridge are small but a nice addition! 7. Black out curtains are a nice touch. All in all, 4 out of 5 only because of the bed being so uncomfortable. Don't pay more than $65 for this room, but if you're in a pinch and want the cheapest room in town, you wont be disappointed here.

Only thing good about this hotel is the TV's. They have bed bugs. Rooms all smell like smoke. Always good and the heaters don't exert lots of heat.

Prices go up when they want but it is a clean place.

The rooms are updated and clean. My family stayed there for a few nights and found the area in which it is located to be very nice. It is convenient to many restaurants and shopping.

The lady that checked me in was friendly. Even gave me Extra coffee pods for my room. Downhill from there… There were sheets of ice on pathway from your vehicle tho your room. The extra pods were a nice gesture. There was no coffee maker in room. Called front desk and was told that one would be brought to me. Never happened. Thank goodness for having your own… in this case it was shower sponge/loofa scrubbie. 3 washtowels each dirtier than the next.

We read the reviews and decided to give them a try anyway. Our stay was wonderful, the front desk manager was extremely helpful and polite. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We extended our stay 2 more days because of the wonderful atmosphere and service we received.

Decent accommodations for about $60 per night. Nice big, comfy bed. Very pleasant employees. Free Wi-Fi, HBO, etc. I enjoyed my stay very much.

I have been loyal to Red Roof Inn due to their pet policy, but this location is crawling with mice. I stayed in Room 111 last night and had to switch rooms in the middle of the night because I saw mice run across the floor twice. Every time I turned off the lights and TV, I could hear them in the walls and under the bed. This morning, the desk agent denied the problem because they didn't see mouse droppings on the floor. They plan to rent the room again this evening and insinuated I was lying to get a refund. This hotel is trash.

It's been a few years since I last stayed at a Red Roof. The room seemed nicer. Bed comfortable. Very nice TV, decent cable channel selection. The fridge and microwave were helpful. The desk/workarea was spacious. Combine all that with them being among the least expensive in the area, I would recommend them.

The staff is nice and helpful, the rooms on the other hand are not the best. The beds are stiff, the pillows re lumpy and/or flat, and the rooms smell like lysol. It's a good place for a cheap stay, but that is about it.

Checked into a Champaign, IL. Red Roof hotel and first room toilet would not flush. Called front desk to get someone to fix it. Got called back and was told. They had no-one available to fix it right now. This was right after I had checked in. Then my requested to be on top floor. So she decided to not only give me a room with a broken toilet. Put me in a room on the bottom floor right in front of one of their cameras. Felt like I was being watched. Open the door and one of the owners walking parking lot, walking by people's window like he is a correctional officer in a prison. This used to be owned by someone else, had to be. Because it is nothing like it use to be.

Basic, mini service, no breakfast yet announced. Intermittent Wifi.

Bed was comfy but the room smelled smoky. Not big enough room for a king bed in my opinion. Bathroom super tiny. You can tell they have recently had some renovation but the smoky smell still exists. Really awful coffee think about changing that.

The rooms were quite nice! The bathroom had a fan, which is always a plus. Nice new TV. Only complaint was the lack of a hairdryer.

Clean updated room. Relatively quiet. Great location. Older property. Nicer than I would have expected, especially at the low rate.

It was sufficient. A nice location right off I-74. Plenty of outlets in the room. The room smelled a little bit. Not like smoke or anything bad, it just smelled old. Felt clean enough inside, though. Nothing special, just enough to get by.

I made a reservation over the phone while driving back from college at about 10 pm, and didn't get there until 11 pm. This was not a problem and the staff was very helpful in finding me an accommodating and affordable room. I went straight to sleep when I got there. The bed was comfy and bug free (I checked thoroughly). The rest of the room was clean as well, and I would definitely stay there again if I was passing through the area. Picked up a muffin and coffee on my way out too (muffins and juice/coffee were the only breakfast choices).

Rooms have been remodeled and are very nice. Refrigerators and flat screen TVs in all rooms. Front staff both times were very attentive and friendly.

Room was clean. Front desk lady was friendly and accommodated our room preference. Was inexpensive, and accommodated our pets. Was a better experience than I have normally had at a red roof.

Room was nice and clean, with plenty of outlets, ample lighting and good climate control. The staff was friendly, grounds were clean and no noise from other rooms despite the hotel being near capacity. We would stay again if passing through.

Staff was excellent, room was nice but needed mopping. Ice bucket leaked. Excellent price.

Stayed here a few days and while the first room had a bad ant problem the room I had my last two days was very nice and clean. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Definitely my go to hotel when I need it :)

This is a decent hotel to stay when my fiancé and I come to Champaign to visit family. We hand stayed here a total of three times now. My only complaint is that the pillows are absolutely awful. Otherwise, Red Roof Inn is a very reasonable place to stay!

It was a decent stay. Beds are not so comfortable and I didnt like that they didnt have breakfast. The woman who was in charge of cleaning the rooms was amazing. She went above and beyond her duties and went as far as to buy our daughters punching balloons because they had seen balloons in the trash the day previous to the day she bought them. The rooms were nice and clean. Pet friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Horrible experience. Will never stay here nor will I ever recommend this place. All the sheets were dirty when I asked the front desk for a set of clean sheets she was only able to give me pillow cases. According to the staff clean sheets are only available the following morning? The room had a bad smoke odor to it and the shower was dirty. Dirty, smelly, and rude staff.

I really wish I could give this place no stars. It's horrible. If you plan to stay here which I DO NOT recommend, DO NOT pay with a card. They will definitely take extra unexplained charges off of your card without authorization that you CANNOT get back. There's a $200 smoking fee for the rooms. I DID NOT EVER smoke in the room but saw an extra $60 charge on my card, called and asked why & was told it was smoked in. If was smoked in, I thought that was $200 so why only take out $60? Exactly. Doesn't add up. The "manager" handles things very unprofessional so don't expect to get a clear answer for anything. Please stay away. There's many more places that'll treat you better.

Worst. Hotel. Ever. My brother, a law-abiding, college student stayed here recently. After checking out, they charged him for a stolen TV, then refused to let him return to the room to dispute the claim. I'm out of words for this pathetic excuse of a business and the thieves occupying its management positions. beware.

1. Reached at 11:45, got the card for our room then had to wait 10-15 mins (or more) to open the door! and it wasn't the card that was the problem it was the door itself. The guy on duty couldn't open it either then he called someone (manager/owner) took him another couple of minutes before we finally could enter out room and all this after having driven for 6 hours (straight after working 8 hrs in the office) 2. Went to take a bath and ended up with a bruised and swollen elbow from trying to break my fall from slipping on the slippery bath tub. No body in my family had taken a bath before me so there was no question of leftover soam scum on the bath tub and there was no bath mat. The only reason for the one star is because you have to rate it and because I have no issues with the staff. They were nice First time ever staying in Red Roof inn and also the LAST.

Very clean and comfortable with nice renovations. The TV stopped working shortly before I checked out though. The new management should be commended.

After renting at another place and being disappointed. I stopped and checked out a room. Looks Great, Very modern looking, totally renovated.

The hotel was a prime location for passing thru, for a one night stay. The location is right off the freeway and the room was clean and perfect. The staff was real friendly. The only complaint was that the freeway noise depending on your location may be a bit loud, which could cause some noise coming into the room, due to the rooms being located outside entry and not indoor entry. Overall, the hotel was great for my needs. PROS: — TV has HDMI can connect to Ipad, Chromecast, etc. — Clean Interior (recently new renovated room) — Clean bedding — Great WI-FI — Friendly Staff CONS: — Noise from Freeway.

DISCARD ALL THE OLD REVIEWS! THEY WERE POSTED BEFORE THE PLACE WAS RENOVATED! IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER NOW! The entire place is recently renovated, so it has pretty good rooms and exceptionally clean interiors. Bath towels were changed every day, bed was made perfectly well, and bathrooms were cleaned every single day of my stay. I paid only $45 a day, which is a steal at the price. Very important tip: Check coupon websites for a 10-20% off coupon, which saves a ton. This is applicable for all red roof inns. Pros: Clean, comfortable, affordable, excellent restaurants nearby, situated right next to the interstates, friendly staff at the front desk, super fast Wi-Fi, TV can be connected to chromecast. Cons: they do not provide breakfast (which is ok considering the price you pay).

I don't understand why people are giving bad reviews to this hotel! Its a budget hotel where you find all the facility you look for. I was recently to this hotel, booked non smoking room, however the room they gave me was some how not non smoking, I brought this issue into reception staff noticed, they immediately changed my room. The new room was clean, nice bathroom, AC was working well (but no iron and board in room). I stayed there for two days, for one day there was no shampoo in the room (so giving 4 stars rating), overall I recommend this hotel, if you are not into fancy things and want to save some bucks.

Only stayed there for 1 night and moved to other hotel. The room was very dirty, hair all over the bathtub and bathroom floor. Room smelling like cigarettes and the sheets had holes from cigarettes on it. Dirty socks under the bed. Dust all over the coat hangers and furniture. Staff very unprepared.

Even for this class hotel room was small, smells bed, bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. LAdy at front desk maybe wasn't nice nice but not much helpful. I didn't get room which I booked.

The hotel itself is a little run down, but it was cheap and the bed was comfortable. There were LOTS of places to eat within walking distance. For 40 bucks I'd stay there again.

What a DUMP. Advertised rate of $48/night was unavailable because they were supposedly so full, even tho lot was half empty. Young desk clerk was behind bulletproof glass with sliver of an opening for passing money. Like a refugee from the "faces of meth" website — the teeth that weren't missing were black, and caked on makeup was no improvement. Went next door to Baymont for just $7 more including free breakfast, clerk in uniform, and generally NICE place.

We have stayed at quite a few Red Roofs. They can be quite nice for the money. This is not among them. The carpet was *filthy*. I used the wireless internet from the hotel next door, as Red Roofs in general still have a contract with T-Mobil, which requires guests to pay a daily fee. When I went to take a shower I discovered that there were no towels. I went to the office to get one, and instead of helping me out, the manager went ballistic on an employee about guests using too many towels, etc. With her back to me, she told the employee that guests will say they have no towels and then when the room is cleaned, there may be "eight" towels discovered. She actually turned to me and suggested, in broken English, that perhaps I could use the bath mat as a towel. There are several nicer looking places in the immediate vicinity. The location is good for restaurants, etc.
