This hotel offers comfortable, clean, quiet rooms. Had a great breakfast as well as a nice bar and restaurant attached. This location was convenient, and I really appreciated the large parking lot with plenty of space for my trailer. Staff were super friendly! Great hotel!

This place from the outside looked like a very high end place, but I thought looks would be deceiving, but when I walked in I was blown away at the lobby. They had a massive fireplace, a waterfall, a bar/restaurant, an eating area, a relaxing area, and a large TV with beautiful stone. The best lobby of any hotel I've ever seen. The room was huge, great TV, bathroom was top notch, and most importantly everything was clean, tidy, and smelled nice. I will be back to this hotel most definitely.

The hotel is just beautiful. The entire facility was spotless and the rooms freshly redecorated. I was also impressed by the friendly staff and great restaurant. The food was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back to the Great Rivers Tap & Grill for dinner. We had a great time during our stay!

This hotel looked BRAND NEW. So clean, beautiful architecture and the beds were soft and fluffy. Not a far drive from STL and plenty of parking and space to feel safe and secure. Great sleep, great pool, great time. Perfect for business but could also bring the kids. Great stay, highly recommend.

This is a very comfy hotel with a lot of great amenities including a pool, fitness room, and a free breakfast buffet served til 11 on the weekends! Niiiice. Friendly staff a nice quiet atmosphere — Alton is about a 20 minute drive from St Louis, so if you’re looking for options in the area, this is a good one.

I was recently in town with my band and we stayed at the Best Western Premier in Alton for a SECOND time! I can confidently say that it was a breeze just like last time. The beds were clean and comfy, and staff was friendly when we needed extra blankets. There’s a lot to do in the hotel; they have a nice restaurant/bar conveniently located in the lobby and a great breakfast display in the mornings. Never again will I stay in another hotel when in Alton! Thank you much!

I stayed at the Best Western Premier Alton-St. Louis for one night. It was an excellent experience. There was plenty of parking and in good area of town. The rooms were spacious and sparkling clean. They had very comfortable pillows and soft beds. I slept like a baby! There were some really nice touches like a multi-cable adapter for all different devices, iPhone compatible stereo/ radio combo, and a really nice flat screen tv. The shower was new with a great shower pressure …as well and killer vanity lighting around the mirror.
Also the breakfast we SO good. They had pancakes, made to order omelettes, oatmeal, bacon, fruit, yogurt, and even really great BLOODY MARYS. Lastly, the staff was so nice and accommodating. Overall it was honestly an excellent experience and I will definitely be back!

The staff at this hotel were exceptional! We had a couple of concerns during my 4 night stay, they were friendly, responsive and went out of their way to be sure we were comfortable. Smiling cleaning lady, friendly check in "sisters", managers, restaurant staff. We would stay again if we were in the area! Reasonably priced. Nice pool area!

Surprisingly unimpressed. On the outside this hotel looks very nice. However, there were enough little things that I am not very pleased with our stay. First of all, the front lobby / pool architecture is hilariously unintelligent. Having the pool open to the lobby makes the lobby smell like chlorine and makes it intensely humid. The lobby was probably at least 85 degrees. There are also several rooms facing the pool, and I had the misfortune to be staying in one. Because the pool was not enclosed, every screech from a happy child echoed and was extremely loud up until the pool closed at ten. The restaurant was closed for Labor Day, which was frustrating because this place is so far away from anything. The ice machine on the first floor was down. The vending machine was down. The hot tub was down and according to prior reviews, has been down for quite some time. That being said, the rooms were nice. The beds were clean and the sheets were soft. The place is pet friendly (which was the only reason I chose it). The price was acceptable, and there was free breakfast. I would not stay here again because of the noise. If you stay here, ask to stay away from the pool. I’m not sure it will make a difference since the noise echoes so badly, but maybe it’s worth a shot…

Check in was quick, rooms are spacious, and pool and hot tub are clean. Kids had a blast. My only complaint was the breakfast buffet. I realize it's a complimentary but still if I'm paying 100$ a night or better the buffet would be well maintained and food hot and cooked completely.

We stayed at the Best Western Premier for 4 nights. The rooms were nice and the front desk service was great. However, management and support staff in the bar were not as friendly. Take note that the lobby is not vented correctly, making it extremely warm in the only space where families are able to gather. In fact, it was 100 degrees outside and I asked multiple times for a space for my family to meet, and all they did was hand us a fan. They did this while knowing I had a newborn. I do not recommend this hotel and would hate for you to book a stay here and not be able to enjoy time with your family. Stay elsewhere if you want decent air conditioning and to be treated with respect.

Friendly staff at front desk and at breakfast time. If you have a family or big gathering and dont have to get up early, this is a good place. The only problem but a big one is that there is too much noise. The noise from people in the pool is very loud from any room that faces the lobby. I asked for a room change and moved to a room further away from the pool but still facing lobby and it was still too loud. If you have neighbors in the room next to you, you will hear everything they are talking about because of the adjoining doors to your rooms. There were always people running through the hallways until late at night. One night close to 10pm someone was banging on my door to let them in because they forgot their room key. I didn't even know that person! Since I mostly travel to Alton for work and get up early, I doubt I will stay at this hotel again.

My stay at the this Best Western Premier was just what I needed after a long day on the road from Nashville with my crew. The hospitality was spot on and front desk was extremely kind and courteous upon our midnight check in. We were very pleased and comfortable in our rooms and felt safe given the location of the hotel. Even with the hotel being very busy this night they had ample parking and there were zero disruptions. It's an extremely quite hotel! Our rooms had two doubles in each and both beds even had their own rooms! The rooms offered microwave, refrigerator and other kitchen-like accoutrements. Location of hotel offered many nice places to venue to and eat nearby. Breakfast fantastic with a very well rounded men). I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food and coffee were! Housekeeping were very courteous… extremely nice folks and really went out of their way to help us with all of our requests. If you're in the area or plan on being in the area and want a great hotel this one is definitely worth staying at!

I returned to this hotel for another stay and have no regrets. This is hands down the best hotel in the region. I think it is especially great if you have business in Saint Louis but are looking for something outside of the city. Its conveniently located and a superb value. The hotel itself was thoroughly remodeled sometime in the last couple years and has all the modern touches you want — you won't be searching behind furniture for charging stations and outlets for your devices. The level of cleanliness is unsurpassable and the room has the extras a girl wants — big workspace, a vanity/magnifying mirror in the bathroom along with a powerful hairdryer. This time around I ate in the pub as I was in a time crunch and had a great thin crust pizza. Also: FYI — there is a pool and fitness center and the breakfast is above average.

Best Western Premier Alton, IL The hotel has a very spacious lobby, so when you walk in you know this is a good place to stay. I had no problem checking in and was able to go right up to my room. The room it’s self was very spacious and the king size bed was very comfortable. They have a very large pool, so it was really easy to do laps in it. Plus the hot tub was very nice. They have a very nice restaurant on the premises with good food and good prices. In the morning they have a fantastic breakfast buffet…they have everything you want to start the day off. I forgot my razor and they were able to give me one free of charge to hold me over…all in all a great.

Loved this place. Huge lobby that is nice for hanging out and getting some work done — and free coffee! Always love when hotels have a little mini mart in the lobby too. They had a great selection and didn't gouge you for a soda and candy bar. Great if you're up late like me. The room was very comfortable and they had a great cable service to watch ESPN on. Everything I needed.

This hotel was very spacious and the staff was very friendly. The rooms had a microwave and fridge and the bed was super comfortable and had 4 pillows. I love it when hotels provide extra pillows! There was a huge lobby area for visiting with company. They also had a nice restaurant located directly in the hotel for your convenience. I look forward to staying here next time I visit our countries most haunted city!

I like this hotel as soon as I walked in I was taken back on how cool the lobby looks. It was large with a warm feeling to it. The staff there was very nice, we had a problem with our reservation the lady at the counter helped us with a smile on her face. The rooms there are very modern and cool looking. The beds were soft and there is a nice couch to sit on while you eat or watch TV. The pool area was big and relaxing if you bring your family the pool area is the place to hang out. They have a restaurant there that serves a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed my stay I would for sure stay here again.

I have never stayed at a more professional place. From front desk to cooks, waitresses, housekeeping, and courtesy driver, they all went out of there way to make me feel like I've known them forever. They helped me when I locked my keys in my car at the job site, fixed my eggs perfect, had my orange juice on the table, scanned and faxed for me, and respected my privacy not to have room service until I wanted it. If I'm ever in the area again, this is my to go hotel.

The Best Western Premier Alton-St. Louis Area Hotel is a spacious modern hotel with everything you need in one place! This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’d say it was even better than the first! The staff at the desk were courteous and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze. Really all of the staff I encountered during our stay were top notch. The guys at the desk made a point to let us know everything the hotel had to offer. This included free w-fi, a pool/hot tub, fitness center, and a bar/ restaurant bar on-site. They even hooked us up with some drink coupons for the bar! The bar/ restaurant was comfortable and tasty, Plenty of drink options and a great menu. We opted for the steak special. T-Bones and baked potatoes for less than $20. There’s plenty of seating, but there’s also a large common area just outside in the lobby for relaxing or holding an informal meeting. The rooms were very clean and roomy, with large picture windows overlooking the lobby. Beds were very comfortable. The shower was a hot with great water pressure. Wi-fi worked well. Overall, better than most. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was above average as well. Hot food including eggs, bacon, and sausage. Oatmeal, fruit, and other healthier options as well. We had planned to venture out during our overnight, but the The Best Western Premier Alton-St. Louis Area Hotel offered everything we needed and more. Great rooms, great staff, great food. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very clean, great atmosphere, newly remodeled inside and out. Very comfortable rooms that are very clean and well kept, and neat. The bed there are comfortable, the bathroom are modern and chic, I think the lighted mirror over the sink and the glass shower stahl's made the bathroom. This whole place is really nice very very very comfortable I would recommend it to anyone is traveling or just would like to this escape for the weekend. Also with an indoor pool and jacuzzi very relaxing. Yes this place, It gets an A+ in my travel book.

I was a drop-in with no reservation. The manager was friendly and personable and offered me a ground floor room (which I requested) at a discounted rate. To my surprise it was a beautiful King bed with sitting area and all the amenities I needed, including a safe and hand held hair dryer. In-room coffee is a must and there was a nice selection of regular coffee, and also coffee was set up in the lobby very close to my room. I was given coupons for free drink and breakfast the next morning. The room was clean and well decorated and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom lighting was perfect, unlike so many hotels and the room temperature was easily controlled by an easily controlled thermostat. Also plenty of drawer space and lots of hangers in the closet. There were shelves in the bathroom to put all my stuff. Next morning the housekeeper came by to ask if I needed anything even knowing I would be checking out later. I had my ice bucket in hand and our ice machine was out of order so had to go to third floor, no big deal at all. She insisted on taking time to get the ice for me, above and beyond her duties. Having lived in Alton many years ago, I then spent a leisurely morning driving around town, seeing the houses I had lived in, driving the Great River Road to Grafton, etc. A trip down memory lane. Lovely hotel; I will stay there again and recommend to my friends who might be traveling to Alton.

I stay at this location every time I visit St. Louis. Only a short drive to downtown. Over the last 3 years I've watched this hotel turn from a basic hotel to a 5-star joint. With every visit it gets better and better. Rooms are huge, breakfast is amazing, staff is professional and helpful, plus they have a full bar. Overall great stuff!

Where to begin… pulling in you might think "hey this looks like a nice hotel! " Then you walk in and you realize it is even nicer than you thought! An unassuming Best Western from the street turns into a luxurious hotel upon entry! Recently given a makeover, the rooms are well laid out with incredible beds, linens, modern bathroom… all very clean and well maintained! Also, the breakfast is top notch… LOCAL BACON! I will be back!

The hotel is gorgeous, the staff were courteous and professional and very attentive to the needs of their guests. The breakfast was great — a full hot bar, waffle maker, and several cold options — as was the 24 hour sundry shop. The shop had very reasonable prices, much better than at other hotels I've stayed at. I did not get a chance to spend time at the bar and restaurant in the hotel however it looked very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a nice stay at this hotel, they have built a huge atrium area for the lobby, pool and business lounge areas complete with funky art installed. The room was very clean and had a fresh feel to it. The flat screen TV was probably the biggest and clearest picture I've ever had in a hotel room. The shower head was moveable which is great for very tall or short people. The staff was kind, the lobby had fruit infused water and coffee available all the time. Complimentary breakfast includes a chef making omelets to order!

My wife and I stayed at the Atrium Hotel & Conference Center and were absolutely in awe of this place. When you walk in from the large, well-lit, parking lot, you are greeted with a beautiful lobby. The lobby has several modern touches that give it a classy and new appearance, several seating areas, and a front desk with a pleasant staff. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was very helpful in their communication about what all the hotel offers and when check out was. We found our room to be very comfortable. It had been recently renovated and still felt very new and clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. There was an easy to use single serve coffee maker in the room with cups of coffee and tea, a flat screen TV with plenty of channels, toiletries (shower gel, bar soap for face and body, shampoo, and conditioner), a blow dryer, and a nice closet to hang up clothes! The Atrium Hotel and Conference Center is absolutely beautiful and should you find yourself in the area of Alton, IL (Greater St Louis) you should definitely stay here. I can't wait to come back!

Two thumbs up for The Atrium! The hotel is clean and loaded with value. I had zero complaints after my stay. They were able to take care of my lodging needs last minute on a holiday weekend. The staff was competent and friendly, and provided me with a very hospitable experience. The windowed ceiling of the hotel's common area made for an uplifting and bright vibe throughout my stay. Also the breakfast buffet had not only French Toast sticks but also quiche. Quiche! Who would of thunk it? I have plans to return to the area in September and you can bet I'll be staying here again.

Very clean, friendly, safe hotel. It was a pleasure to visit for a night. Got a great night sleep. Room was quiet and well maintained. I will be back!

The hotel is under a renovation, but it doesn't seem to have any impact on the great service that you receive. My room was very comfortable and clean. Very modern with great Wi-Fi! The glass shower was a plus as well. It was my first time staying at The Atrium, but I will definitely return whenever I am in the metro St. Louis area!

The bed was very comfortable. No complaints about the service. The room was clean from what I saw. The pool is a tad on the smaller side, but if pools aren't your thing, then you're totally fine.

I went to the Atrium hotel for dinner, and I found it to be a very delightful experience. The food was delicious, very well prepared. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentaton of the food was very pleasing. The portion size was good, and the prices were reasonable.

The location is easy to get to and also has great staff and clean swimming area.

Thus is where the old Holiday Inn used to be. I wasn't even aware they had changed to Atrium. While I was visiting a friend there for her baby shower in one of the conference rooms available, the hotel lobby doesnt look like it's changed at all from when it was a holiday Inn, but it always has been a very nice lobby anyway. I asked the receptionist behind the counter where the Gallagher room was, and he was very polite and directed me to it. My insight is limited because I didn't stay for very long or overnight, but I can attest to how nice the rooms were before it switched hands, and I can only imagine it's been improved on.

The hallway on the first floor is sopping wet, saw a mouse in the lobby area, my room door (glass sliding one) doesn't lock properly, and had an issue with the night manager. I asked her for extra blankets. First she said they didn't have any, after I told her I seen the shelf on the 3rd floor full of them, then she said, she had to wait for the guy to come back to the front desk and he had to go help someone. I told her my kids were cold and she rudely told me how to use a thermostat as if I didn't know. I found the guy myself… In the bar chatting with the DJ. He did go get me some blankets though. They are stingy with their covers/blankets. Night lady manager heavy set… 100% rude to the point I will never return or recommend the place. Try comfort inn, next door. The pool and hot tub were great! Sauna was out of order.
