We stayed at Bonita last week. The staff was very helpful and offered advice on things to do and where good local eateries were. All of their recommendations were on point. We would definitely stayed here again.

We are enjoying Girls Weekend at the Beach 6/26-6/28/21 and I have been pleasantly surprised at how big and clean the rooms are! The hotel reservation clerk was super friendly and helpful. The partial view of the ocean is a big treat! So far so good!

Close to beach, full size fridge, kitchenette has dishes even provides papertowels, soap n scrubbing sponge. Friendly desk staff named Terry greeted us and very helpful. Sundeck and pool nice. For 10 years we stayed at carousel but we will be coming back here now!

I have never experience such poor customer service anywhere. Shortly after checking in we noticed the flusher on our toilet was not functioning properly, both the handle and chain are broken. Since it was after midnight, we decided to call in the morning to sort out the situation, however after attempting to manually flush because it was needed, the toilet began flooding out all over the floor. This left us with no functioning bathroom over night, which was not the end of the world we dealt with it for the time being. We waited it out over night and called the front desk first thing in the morning and were told a member of maintenance would be on the way to fix it, and we should use the public bathroom on a different floor until they arrived. After waiting 3 hours with no help, we called the front desk again and a plunger was sent up, still no one to fix the toilet’s actual problem. We were told they did not know when Maintenance would be available to help us. We requested to change rooms so we could have a functioning bathroom, because as everyone knows this is a necessity. After paying several hundred dollars for this stay, we are expected to leave our room and go to a different floor just to take care of our basic human needs. I think everyone can agree it is ridiculous to expect paying customers to go out of their way to do something as simple as use the restroom just so the company is not inconvenienced with fixing a serious problem.

Love the fact that they accommodate families and have adjoining rooms!

Tv wasn’t working, 2 lights in the room weren’t working, the water pressure is poor, the AC is poor at best and an outlet in the wall is completely shot and would not work. The room was clean, but everything else was pretty terrible. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. The employees however were attentive and helped immediately. We stayed in a king room.

Had to leave the same day we arrived due to bed bugs, sheets were disgusting and dirty with crumbs and old cereal. Mattress was stained.

We were traveling with a large group (over 30 rooms) and on the very first night of our stay at least 4 rooms were found to have bed bugs in. In addition to bed bugs, there was hair and crumbs all throughout the “new clean” sheets. It was absolutely disgusting.

Checked in yesterday afternoon and checked out by 11pm. The hotel is infested with bed bugs! Do not go here until they get this under control!

Very short walk the beach. The pool is incredibly beautiful, and warm, with doors that are wide open to a fully furnished balcony with an ocean view. The rooms are very big, very clean, and are stocked with dishes, extra bedding, dish soap, a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and bath too. All rooms have a beautiful balcony to gaze at the ocean. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend this place. The room prices are unbeatable. This is a true Gem. ❤️

I enjoyed, my long weekend. Place is clean, all employees were very professional. Close to everything I needed, and short walking distance 5-10 minutes.

I always look to see how clean but what I liked about it was the guest was very friendly and it's in a good location next to a lot of the restaurants… the staff was very nice and helpful.

Stayed for Mother’s Day weekend with my two boys. Great view from corner room, boys loved the pool and game room, steps to the beach and great accommodations for the price. Vicki at the front desk was very warm and friendly, and remembered our names throughout the weekend. Lovely stay, we’ll return.

Vicky at the front desk was amazing. She saved my weekend. Room was nice but the air conditioning was not so cool but they were working on it.

The Bonita Beach Hotel has been one of our favorite hotels when visiting Ocean City. We discovered it when our kids were little. With 4 kids, it is hard to find hotels to accommodate our entire family for a reasonable price. This hotel has been our go to for years. We can all stay in one room and it’s affordable. We prefer to stay further from the boardwalk because we really enjoy the quieter beach experience. The rooms are always clean. The employees are helpful and friendly. We never have a problem finding parking even late at night. This past summer, we stayed without kids because the price was so good. We wanted a nice quiet weekend and that is exactly what we got. It’s a very short walk to the beach. The beds are comfortable and you also have a full size fridge, microwave and a dishwasher. There is an indoor pool for those rainy days, however we never used it so I’m not sure how it is. But with kids it’s always good to have that option. I recommend the Bonita Beach Hotel for anyone looking for a clean and affordable hotel for a family.

Just spent 4 day weekend. Very disappointed! Poorly maintained and dirty. We paid for a “Premium” room which gave us 2 queen beds and pullout sofa. Bathroom was dirty and mold around the tub. House keeping only made two queen beds when they came in, bed sheets not replaced, pullout sofa not touched didn’t even make the sheets. The carpet was not vacuumed once during our stay you could feel the dirt on your feet. It was hot in our room the A/C didn’t work and a portable unit that was not even close to handing the temp was rigged up as a permanent fix you can tell by the picture I attached. Had I not read the no refund policy we would have left the first night. The location was good and good parking but that’s where it ends. Way over priced at $1100 for 3 nights.

Paid almost a grand for a place where the air conditioner didn’t work, shower didn’t work, sink wouldn’t drain and toilet wouldn’t flush. Then after the housekeeper accidentally took my daughters bathing suit and could only find half of it, the front desk lady gave me places where I could buy another one at. After I complained to the manager, they reimbursed me for the bathing suit but didn’t fix one issue while being there. Don’t waste your money. Google reviews.

Nice location near the beach. The staff are extremely nice and willing to help you. Room cleaning is a bit slow. We spent 5 days here and only 3 of those days they cleaned the room including once when we asked them to. Nonetheless, they hotel is comfortable and has a nice view as well.

The service was great! People are very nice and let you have your privacy. Only thing is the room we had did not have any type of bars or handles in the shower so I did fall and got myself bruised up. So you definitely will need to ask for a runner mat and/or be careful.

Great hospitality! Great front desk service. Clean rooms, great views. I love the small indoor pool (goes up to 4ft) and outside deck area. I had a great time. The boardwalk is far from main attractions, but still nice.

This place made our vacation to the shore perfect! HUGE room with a full-size fridge, and a super friendly staff, especially Vickie! So many helpful tips and suggestions! Would definitely stay here again!

If you're 20 something and don't care about where you crash after a night of drinking, this is the place for you. Although only steps from the beach, the clientele leaves much to be desired. If you are looking for a place for a family trip with younger kids, spend more money and stay somewhere else. Having to explain to your kids why there is someone screaming in the hallway with police present at 3 am was not fun. Dirty walls, rock hard beds, constant cursing in the hallway and balconies, and a bathtub that won't turn off are just some of the "amenities" you'll get here. The two stars is solely based on proximity to the beach. I would not stay there again.

The stay here has been nothing short of a fiasco. My family and I were put on a floor with numerous rooms fulls if underage kids who all day and night are in and out of the rooms partying, slamming doors and blasting music. As of this moment I am writing this, there are many cops standing outside my door because of the yelling, screaming and fighting that’s been occurring for hours now. Earlier today, these kids set a fire on the balcony three rooms down, forcing a full investigation by the police and fire department. Next time indicate to your patrons that there is an underage event occurring at your hotel so that families can come down and enjoy themselves.

Great hotel! Absolutely fantastic staff! I’ve stayed at many hotels in ocean city but Bonita staff are by far the most friendly, helpful, and wonderful of them all. We had made a mistake when booking online and insteady booked for the day after we were supposed to arrive, and only realized when we got there. The staff member and manager were very understanding about it and helped us fix the issue with no problems and made everything so much easier and less stressful. 10/10 would recommend.

Don’t Stay Here! I originally booked for two nights so a 50% deposit was taken out of my account. A day later, I decided it was best just to stay for one night. I called, made sure that If I cancelled my original reservation and made a new reservation for one night, I’d get my deposit back. So since the rate goes up for one night, I was charged more than if I just stayed two nights. They said I would get my money back in 3-5 business days. Here it is, 6 business days and still don’t have my money back. I’ve been calling them non stop since yesterday and it began with “we don’t have record of that charge”, well it shows up on my banking app!

My family (hubby and 18 month old) had a great time here. Close to the beach, has a nice pool. Very comfortable clean, big room. Front desk was awesome (Vicki provided excellent service) would stay again.

Awesome staff, great rooms, but be weary of the parking. Littearly a death trap. Wayyy too small to the point that someone hit me pulling in. Also will be left with door dings due to the small space.

I enjoyed my stay here they was very friendly, and the place has a indoor pool which I did go for a swim I had a good stay will visit again thank you.

The drive to the hotel was stressful due to traffic and other factors therefore we arrived for check in late at night. Vicki assisted us with check in and was able to help turn the day around. The hotel was clean and all the staff was pleasant throughout our stay. Our room gave us a view of both the ocean and the bay. We enjoyed having the full size refrigerator in our kitchen. The pool was heated and clean. We will definitely be staying at Bonita Beach again!

Very cozy place. Indoor pool came in handy since the weather was rainy and cold. The front desk ladies were very pleasant. I will definitely stay here again.

We went to surprise our granddaughter for her birthday. The staff was great and even though our room was booked on different site and different times. They booked us with adjacent rooms. 1st time there. Great friendly staff, great room, great prices, great indoor pool. We definitely enjoyed our overnight stay. Spacious rooms. Clean and hallways were cleaned and maintained. I think some people want the RITZ when looking a nice hotel. Wonder how some of the people's own places they live in look like. My Family was very satisfied and would stay again.

It was very great! I stayed off season, and it was very cheap! The hotel was clean and had lots of other special features! The staff is very nice! Would defiantly recommend it!

Everything was okay until that morning We seen a great big bed bug on the other bed in room 216. Hope we didn't bring any home with us. Other then that loved the place. Now check it out and let us know how bad was the problem and I go from there.

On the night of 10/5/17 I was bit by a bed bug in room 315 while in bed. Their "inspector" said there were no signs of bed bugs… Not only did it bite me, but I flipped the covers over and seen it running and burned it with a lighter. The manager offered us 30$ back for the inconvenience. The overnight guy at the desk is a clueless jackass with an attitude problem. He moved us to a room that smelled like bug spray from the lady bug company exterminator who was leaving the hotel when we arrived. On the way home I Google search the Lady bug company and they specialize in bed bugs… Save yourself the hassle and stay elsewhere.

Was just there for Cancelled h2oi with my boyfriend. We pulled in & parked our cars together & noticed something hanging from my boyfriends R, so we were looking at it & the lady who was working when we arrived came out with zip ties for us! Y'all know your crowd! We had a great view of the city & all the watch awesome cars send it down Coastal. We were there Thursday thru Monday & didn't have any issues. Great place! 10/10 would stay again.

Very cute hotel! Staff is great and it's super close to the beach. Only complaint is that the Internet cuts in and out and the cable sometimes does the same. Otherwise, great place to stay!

Nice enough hotel close to the beach and restaurants. Good size rooms at a good price when compared to other hotels. My wife and kid enjoyed the (on the smaller side) pool but it was not a problem. Decent view of the beach from our balcony. Bring a sound machine for sleeping… your welcome:)

Great location to the beach. The room slept 6 people comfortably. Full size fridge in the room. The balcony was a great added plus. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

We stayed at Bonita Beach July 24-27. The exterior of the property was clean. The indoor pool was nice with a nice sized outdoor sundeck attached. However our room was in need of a deep cleaning as were the hallways. There were stains all over the carperts and the walls could use a good cleaning. Inside out room there was food splashed on the wall that we easily wiped of with paper towels. When we found additioanl dirty walls we contacted the from desk. When house keeping came to take a look 2 days later they could not clean the wall because they had to use a magic eraser and di not have one. When they did return they only cleaned that specific spot and not the other areas where dirt was located. Additioanly there was visible sand on the tiles when we arrived and the microwave had the prvious guest rice still inside so no way it was cleaned. The fridge was empty but could have used a good wipedown. If you want a clean room I suggest looking elsewhere. Would never stay here again due to uncleanliness and lackluster response from housekeeping.

Clean, spacious rooms. Great views of the beach and the bay from our balconies! Friendly and helpful front desk staff (they were able to recommend some great restaurants! ) Would come back again! The only areas that left me wanting were: the quality of the sheets, somewhere to rinse off after being on the beach (instead of dragging the sand to our room) and the cloudiness of the pool.

We had a room on the top floor of the hotel located in the middle and it had a great view of the sunset. The location is very convenient to the beach and great seafood a few doors down at Victoria's. They let us stay at the pool after we checked out on the day we left so we could wait for traffic to settle. Staff was very friendly also! Would stay here again!

Great hotel, beach and restaurants outside the door. What made my family's stay even better was Vickie from the front desk, such a warm and friendly person, very helpful whenever we needed something or info about the hotel and the area. Thanks Bonita & Vickie we hope to see you soon.

Well I liked the staff they were friendly and helpful. The issue was they upgraded us and the room they put us in was next to the elevator. We walked in the room just to put the bags down and left to go to the boardwalk. When we came back that night my fiance proceeded to take a shower and I walked down to the car to put the parking pass in. By the time I got upstairs she told me that I needed to talk to the people to try to get the room changed. That the elevator just made way too much noise. I went down to the desk and asked but since we had been upgraded they said it would be difficult to switch rooms so us getting upgraded made our experience not great at all. I had been giving the impression that if I made them switch us that I would have gotten the staff in trouble for the upgrade they originally gave us. I could have made it a big issue and insisted to be moved but felt bad band state where they put us. So I don't know who's at fault but my stay was not that enjoyable. I liked the staff they were helpful but besides that everything else was average and the room was below-average because of the elevator.

BED BUGS! STEEEER CLEAR! We were here this past weekend and I have bed bug bites all over my body. Management will not call me back, they took my money knowing they have an infestation! If you want bed bugs the nstay here. I brought them back to my house with me and thankfully caught it in time. I killed them thank god. I am suffering from pain! Do not stay here! Steer Clear. Nobody will return your phone call back or refund you your money!

Today 9/3/16, the governor has included the area of the hotel in a state of emergency due to Hurricane Hermine heading to this location. Winds now up to 60 mph. I spoke with Bonita Beach Hotel manager Sandy today who said she would refund no part of my $286.21 amount for my one-night reservation (9/4/16). It did not matter that travel advisory forecasts dangerous travel and local conditions including local risks to life due to storm effects including ocean surges, street flooding and road closures. Business ethics at its worst at Bonita Beach Hotel.

Great price for the room. Even during peak season. The staff were very nice and hekpful. They even let us check in early. The accommodations are fairly standard for ocean city. The room was clean and as described. Cheap sheets and towels, etc… but that is to be expected. The "game room" had five non functioning arcade games, one broken claw machine, and one functioning claw machine with 8 or so items sitting on the bottom. They obviously haven't been in there for a while ha-ha.

Great service, friendly staff, and clean rooms. A fan in the bathrooms and more comfortable beds would be nice though.

It's a basic motel nothing fancy here. Things could be updated, lots of stuff is worn on the edges. The room was decent size, the beds comfy. Good location — quick walk to the beach and great restaurants across the street.

Stayed overnight at the hotel. The room was nice, 2 double beds and a pull out sofa. The sofa was very stained and did not have a sheet on it. We stayed on the 3rd floor right by the pool but there were no towels in the pool area as we had been told… over all it was a good experience.

I've stayed her for 4 years in a row. The hotel is cool for the price and what you get. However, I've watched service fluctuate. One year they are top notch, the next year they suck. I like the fridge in the room, the location, the indoor pool and game room, and the fact that we are steps away from the beach. Now cleaning is a HUGE PROBLEM. Besides me suffering from OCD (sorry, but not sorry), I always have to clean the room A LOT before I let my kids in. They don't do enough detailed cleaning for me. I mean they do surface cleaning like vacuuming, bathroom, mirrors etc. BUT they do not check to see if someone dropped food on the side of the bed, dust… small things like that which I consider BIG things! How do you not know someone dropped chips under the bed!? They also NEVER offer sales and discounts. I've consistently stayed here and management has never reached out to say thanks for being a loyal customer… nothing. For this reason alone we are looking for another reasonably priced hotel this year.

Great for a budget hotel close to the beach and it's right across the street from the Fractured Prune and Hooked, my two favorite places to eat in Ocean City. We've stayed here three times and even though It's not the newest place — there's the occasional peeling wallpaper — I wouldn't say it's dirty. You can see the bay and the beach from almost every room and the indoor/outdoor pool area is awesome. Will definitely be staying here again.

Nice hotel to stay at in OCMD. Reasonably priced and rooms were spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to the beach, rooms are not oceanfront but still get a nice view of the town and a glimpse of the ocean. The indoor pool was great.

I wasn't even going to write this review, but since management won't call me back, here it goes. We stayed here a few years in a row and really enjoyed it. We always stayed for our girls weekends. This year was completely different. Rude staff and just bad service overall. Just an fyi, if you smoke, don't do it on the balcony. They will charge you $250 without any warning. I will not be staying here again and I'll be making sure everyone I know doesn't, either.

Terrible service and the staff was awful. Especially the lady at the service desk. Room smelled and when we got there our room carpet was wet. Will not stay here ever again.

I stayed there for a long weekend at the end of August this year with my husband and 3 year old. Our room had 2 queen beds, which weren't super comfortable, but they were okay. I found a few pieces of food (crackers, etc) on the floor by the beds, but the overall cleanliness wasn't bad. We stayed for 3 nights and on one of the days, our room didn't get cleaned, but housekeeping did come by later to bring us clean towels. The kitchenette was great, especially with a kid. We brought his leftovers back and were able to keep them in the fridge. We never saw the pool, so I can't say anything about that. It was a super quick walk to the beach and we loved the little balcony off of our room. All in all, it was a decent place and we'd probably stay there again.

Gave our room to someone else, we drove 4 hours just to have to find another hotel for my family of 6. Thanks a lot for your terrible customer service. Bad first impression.

DO NOT LET YOU CHILDREN STAY HERE! My son who has never been in trouble was kicked out of his room and his three room mates. There was a floor party and the girl security guard came and kicked them out in the middle of the night, charged them a $160 noise fine and kept the entire weeks rent (they had only been there three out of seven nights! Now an entire floor of teenagers that love ocean city are walking the streets with no place to stay, no way to charge their phones to call home and used all their spend money on the fine. THEY ARE CROOKS! We are all getting together and getting a lawyer, but this is a warning to any SENIORS and their parents, this is scam.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, tastefully decorated. Worth it. Would definitely recommend.

I went with a couple of friends for senior week, and we LOVED our stay here. Granted it is on 81st street but there is a bus stop across the street which cost $3 for an all day pass but it was still a pleasant stay. Though the bathroom smelled, we sprayed some perfume in it just a little and the smell was gone. Beds are very comfy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
