This place helped out in a bind. Our AC went out and we had to find a place for the 4 of us and a dog… the room was big and comfortable… only a small extra 10.00 fee to accomadate the furry guy. If you need a place to stay with your dog I highly recommend it!

My room smelled of mold. Overall the hotel is fine if you are passing through and need a place to sleep. It is worth the extra 20-40 dollars to stay at another place nearby.

Room was very nice and clean. Incredible customer service! Bobby checked us in and went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again.

I can't believe how nice this place is for the price. I've stated here 4 times now and have had zero issues. Rooms are huge. The suites come with very well stocked kitchens. The location is a short drive from pretty much anything you could need or want while away from home. I can't wait to come back!

The hotel was fairly priced and the rooms were all equipped with a kitchenette. This came in handy and saved some money for us. The rooms are not fancy and furniture is not newish. But it was perfectly clean and the staff cleaned it every day. Staff was very polite and helpful in all ways. The front office manager Bobby went above and beyond to help us. Our car's battery died and I had to go to work early in morning, 3 AM. Bobby was doing night shift and he helped us by locating jumper cables for me and he pulled up his own car to give me a jump. He is also very knowledgeable of the area and guided us to some really good restaurants and R &R activities for the weekend. Breakfast is not full hot breakfast but decent for the money paid. My little boy enjoyed the fresh pancakes they make. Swimming pool is also decent. If I return here then I will stay at this hotel again.

Loved this hotel! Very clean. The room/suit was fantastic clean and comfortable. While one vacation in addition to this particular hotel we stayed at 2 other establishments within this chain of hotels from Fredrick to Tennessee and although they were all nice THIS one was the best. I give it a strong 5. If I could suggest anything to improve this establishment it would be to get a hot tub and an exercise bike or 2 for the fitness center. Oh did I mention the price was right.

My family and I had a really bad experience! We had booked a month in advance with stipulation of my family being on same floor. This was very messed up! They wanted to split all of us up. All of us had to finally take the 3rd floor which smelled so bad of smoke on a floor with non — smoking rooms and not one of my family members smoke! All of our rooms were dusty and dirty, my sisters room coffee still in coffee pot, stuff on floors, toilets in this room and another we’re messed up would not flush, hair was all over bathroom floor. Staff was very nice and did come and expect the room and offered to move my sister and spouse, when they moved to next room air conditioner was broke. They had to move again to second floor which was not as bad of smell, however rooms were still not that clean. First night I could not sleep due to the smell of smoke. I asked to move to 2nd floor due to fact smell of smoke was so bad on my floor and the manager said this was not a problem, I ask him to make sure the room was clean and he stated would make sure his self. I had to move all my stuff in my family’s room on 2nd floor and when I got back room was ready. I guess the old saying is you get what you pay for! I rated two stars only dilute to the staff. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

I am from Frederick and I recently came into town from where I currently live to visit family. I booked a NON SMOKING ROOM for my daughter and I. I walked in to the "lobby" where two men were working. One helping a already unhappy customer, and the other walking around. From where I stood, doing nothing. I started to look around. It's nothing special or even all that nice. Very DARK and smelled awful. Old cigarette smoke smelly. I checked into my room, which he then told me I was in a smoking room. I immediately requested that be switched. He did accommodate my request for that. I go to my room, I reach the door and to my surprise the door was OPEN. Help open by the latch lock. Clearly someone had been hanging out in the room. The bed was disheveled as if someone had been laying around on it. The TV was on. The chairs were out. This is not how a room should appear when walking into it for the first time. And the worst part — for a "non smoking" room, it smelled of nothing but stale cigarette smoke. I returned to the front desk and explained the situation. He made excuses for awhile and then moved me to another room. Equally as disheveled and equally AS SMELLY. My 1 year old daughter doesn't need to smell that. Our belongings don't need to smell of that. I returned to the front desk and told him we would not be staying there and I would appreciate it if he would refund the $100.00. He went on to tell me it is through priceline and he cant, that they have to.

Amazing staff and service. Rooms were clean and they had basic breakfast. Swimming pool was the best part for my kids.

Pretty decent. When I opened up the fridge this was in there … I'm guessing it was from the guest before us.

It's decent nothing special the room was clean but the fridge had food from when someone else was in there.

Rooms are kind of small, but the customer service is really good. Definitely worth checking out.

The room was good size for the money but the bed could of been more soft. The breakfast was good. The morning guy was friendly. The only bad thing was we were on the non smoking floor and someone was up there smoking weed in the hallway and we could smell it when we got off the elevator on the 3rd floor both nights we stayed… Saturday n Sunday. We informed the night guy and he said he’ll take care of it but Sunday night the same thing. I didn’t like my child being exposed to that mess that is why we got a non smoking room!

Cute, clean, and close to attractions but far enough away that you can't hear the traffic. Full breakfast bar and friendly staff. What's not to love! I fully recommend this place.

The room was a one qween size bed and came with a kitchen. That was unexpected. Bed was comfortable. Pillows not too fat, which is good. There was a convertable couche. Four could have slept there.

Really nice place had a small kitchen and fullsize fridge wouldnt be a bad place if you had to live there for a bit.

Good location, and the rooms and staff were more than accommodating. The indoor pool was well taken care of.

Nice room. Clean. Full kitchen. Decent size. Nice sitting area, bathroom, comfortable bed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the hallway had a strong curry odor. I like curry but I don't want to smell it in the hallway. I don't know if it was the hotel or a guest that created it. I would definitely consider staying at Mainstays in the future because I really liked the room set up.

I love the rooms here. Theres a small kitchenette complete with pots and pans forks etc. A full size fridge and a glass top range to cook on. Service has been excellent! I can not express how amazing the service has been here. Bobby at the front desk and the manager K K have gone above and beyond on every occasion something was requested. The pool closes at 9. No hot breakfast. This serves every need for a cheap extended stay motel with the service of a 5 star hotel.

Stayed for 37 days recently while waiting for our new house to be completed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The one maintenance issue we had was fixed promptly. Affordable for long stays. Here are the reasons for not a better rating: Even though the room was clean it had a funky smell like maybe the AC filter needed to be changed; rooms were very dated, needed some refurbishing; breakfast was very limited; spiders. Overall, ok hotel for the money.

Odd smells and strange room lay out. Otherwuse the service has been excellent. Pots, oans and silverware are provided. Pool closes at 9pm, boooooo. Great little spot for the money.

Theres a small exhaust fan to suck air from the living area to the bedroom. Leaving the door open has been sufficient but still a very strange set up. Pool closes at 9. No hot breakfast. This serves every need for a cheap extended stay motel.

People were friendly. The price of the room was cheap, the rooms also had a lot of space. The pool is nice. Breakfast was ok but I wish the had the option to make waffles and serve eggs and sausage. The Ac in our room didn't work very well. The hotel is around restraints and stores. It is also really pet friendly. Overall it was worth our stay.

Easy check in and out, convenient location for our stay and decent rooms. It's not s luxury hotel but the price was right. Would stay again.

This is a return visit, I love it so much! My room is wonderfully cozy and the windows actually open. They also provide me the necessary dishes and small appliances to feel at home during my extended stay in the area. Everyone (staff) is warm and courteous also.

We loved our stay. There were no problems! The staff was so considerate and helpful. The stairs were clean and well lit. The pool looked inviting but we didn't try it.

Great, ppl are very nice hotel up to date only thing is you can't connect you devices besides phones to the Wi-Fi that could be fixed an I'd give it all 5 stars.

I visited this hotel briefly to look at venues and its beautiful. I love the staff and atmosphere.

Room was spacious. I have only 2 minor issues. The sofa in the room was not particularly comfortable and the continental breakfast was lower quality than other hotels in the area. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

I truly believe no hotel is going to be completely perfect. There will likely be something that does not meet the expectations of some at 100%. I usually will not complain unless there is something major. I did find a couple of things that were annoying but not worth mentioning. I could not help but overlook them because the staff here was honest enough to seek, find, and take extra efforts to return a blue tooth that we left behind yesterday in our haste to leave at checkout to get to a meeting. The extra effort included several coordinated phone calls to make sure our request was expedited as planned to return the blue tooth to us in another state as soon as possible. The staff assured me that it would be sent today. Hopefully it will arrive according to plan. I will post an update when it does:) Great customer service is one of my pet peeves. I have worked with the public for 28 years in both the healthcare and retail industries. Being a customer is easy. Giving great customer service takes skill and a great amount of patience. For this concerted effort I would like to thank Samir, KK, and TyLynn, as well as anyone else I am not aware of that may be involved. They were VERY courteous and willing to help. THIS IS AN UPDATE: The day after I posted this, the blue tooth arrived in the mail as promised! Frederick MainStay YOU ROCK! THANK YOU!

No hot tub when I arrived which is really the only reason I booked the hotel but the manager was so nice he opened the pool for us after 9 because he could see my son was disappointed we missed it by a few minutes. The staff was so nice. They had waffles for breakfast on Sunday. I thought the breakfast was fine both days we were there. The pool was clean. For the price, the staff, who I believe were mostly family and live on site, went above and beyond to be nice and helpful. Id definitely stay there again.

This place is beyond ugly and I'm sure the older 5 star reviews were under different management. The room itself wasn't terrible, but there is just no way this place deserves a 3.7 rating. The hallways reek of smoke and everyone seems super low class. I would not want my daughter staying here or really anyone I care about for that matter. Complitmentary breakfast is a plus, but I would probably rather just go to a McDonalds for a few bucks.

The pool was not good. Hair, dust, disgusting. No hot tub — the spot where it had been was filled in with concrete. Breakfast was not bad, but basic. No wafflemaker for the kids. Maybe we're spoiled but that seems standard. Little things here and there not kept up. The staff was well-meaning and friendly, but that wasn't enough to make up for the substandard overall experience. The temps on the bathroom sink were switched around — if you turned it to the left, it was cold, and to the right was hot — never a good sign if you care about a place that pays attention to detail.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom was small but clean. 2 queens and a sofa bed made this room comfortable for a family of 5. Also a nice kitchen. Don't expect a big breakfast but adequate for a start to the day. We will definitely come back.

Overall not bad, just the price is a little High at 70 dollars. The following would be more appropriate Breakfast General.

The hotel has recently been renovated. I stayed here most of Dec. '12. The hottub was not functioning at the time, and breakfast never changed from day to day, but the room itself was quiet and clean. Staff was great. Would definitely stay there again. Laundry is on each floor and relatively inexpensive. Oh, bring your own cutlery and pans though.
