Don’t be fooled by the nice lobby. When we stayed there the bathroom had a broken light switch, moldy on the tile baseboard & in the shower. The desk top has dried food & cola which was never cleaned up. The desk chair had hairs all over it. The carpet was stained in numerous areas. The AC unit had mold on the vents. 3x’s we went to the desk to ask for another rm & waited 5-10 min. & no one came out of the back office. Next morning we went to the front desk & showed the young girl the pictures of the room’s condition. She said, “So. What do you want me to do? You have to talk to the manager & he’s not here”. She never apologized nor honored the Hilton policy of “100% satisfaction guarantee policy”. I emailed the manager, Arnie Garcia, & told him if the room condition & he had the same attitude as the girl. I also emailed him the pictures of the room & he was still rude, unapologetic & unprofessional. Since the mgr. Arnie Garcia, was extremely rude, unprofessional & refused to credit our credit card, I disputed the charge. I called Hilton CS & reported the problems. I was told that this hotel had over 10 similar complaints w/in a 6 wk period. The CS rep. Was professional & concerned w/all of the serious & recent complaints & would file “another report. A Motel 6 would’ve better than this moldy, dirty hotel. We cannot believe that this is still a Hilton property. Hopefully, it has corrected the problems.

Lovely atmosphere. Nice ambiance.

Haven’t disappointed me yet, rooms are spacious and the bed sleeps great. Will definitely encourage you to stay when ya get a chance to.

My family has been visiting this Doubletree for years and we've never been dissatisfied. The staff is always helpful and the Ports Of Call restaurant serves up chef-inspired delights like the Ports Of Call Eggs Benedict which, for a mere $3 more than its traditional counterpart, delivers the eggs Benedict that you've always savored but with one Chesapeake style twist… a crab cake! Hilton properties always seem to deliver a familiar experience which gives us the feeling of being home even when we're not.

Our experience feeling m reservation to check in was wonderful. Diago check in agent was wonderful providing excellent information. FYI breakfast is complimentary he offered our 2 cchip cookies and comp waters.
This is the place to stay.

The carpet wet and room musty smelling. Also, do NOT come here if you are disabled or mobility impaired. I specifically called here months in advance to request a roll in shower with seat… well, we got the roll in shower but no seat! I called front desk and they didn't have one so they brought in a regular wheelchair. Completely unacceptable! Also, the disabled room was the furthest walk from the lobby possible! Also, no way to get ice without walking up steps… try that if you're mobility impaired! I will be reporting this facility to my congressional representatives for ADA infractions! And, no attempt to comp us by the management.

Loved the hotel, the check in experience was really nice! Get a nice warm cookie when you check in. The room was really nice! One thing that made this experience go from a 5 start to a 2 was the receptionist I believe her name was Nikki, she had a really bad attitude problem. When I called for a price she wasn’t pleasant to talk to and at check out we called down to do a late check out. Was told we don’t do that but are good to stay a for a little bit by someone else. Nikki comes to the door as we are literally about to walk out with a bad attitude saying we are late and someone else booked the room. I told her I called down for a late check out but only needed a half hour the other girl was kind and said I’m good but Nikki told me no and that she’s gonna charge me. Over all great experience, just not from Nikki the receptionist which is your main experience at a hotel.

Service has been good, service at the hotel bar can be very slow if they get busy. Rooms are in different states of distress, not terrible but you can tell they have been patching this place up for a while. Keep in mind that I have stayed here multiple times now and would probably stay again. Why? Location, walking distance to the Annapolis town center (edit) I should mention that the rooms are not bad at all, of the ones I have stayed in, as I mentioned, you can tell have had some sort of repair done. But one thing I just realized to night is not fridge/microwave in king bed room. Not sure if this true to all rooms or just the one I'm in this week.

Good location and a nice hotel. Outdoor pool was a pleasure. Shuttle in/out of town is great! Staff was very friendly. Big problem is the volume of the air conditioning is insanely loud! It goes off and on all night and woke us up each time it roared back on.

Stayed for 12 days as part of a job transfer. This place was amazing. The service was great. The food from the restaurant is great. When you walk into the lobby you are greeted with a smile. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in the Annapolis area.

We chose the Doubletree Annapolis because it was close to the Naval Academy where our daughter attends. Although we still have one more day and night here I have to give my compliments to the wonderful staff for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Special kudos goes to Carlos, the head bartender. Great personality and wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. He is a true gem!

First but not last time visiting this outstanding hotel. I loved my stay so must I couldn't help to extend my visit… Great service, tasty food and nice clean pool. I would recommend this hotel too anyone. Beautiful place.

I've been going here for years and the service is always good. Same goes with the food for the breakfast buffet. Nice gym as well as pool. I would highly recommend.

Hotel was nice, clean and in a good location. Looked to be run fairly well. Was there for a conference. We were served lunch which was okay. I would give them a chance for an overnight stay if I had the need. Some business partners did stay and they said the rooms were nice.

I wasn't very happy with the lack of curtains beyond the sheets on the window. Since we were on the first floor, the light from the parking lot was horribly bright. I forget to take pictures, sorry. Otherwise, the staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Pillows were awesome. The beds were also very comfortable. We didn't eat or drink, so can't comment on bar/restaurant. I would not stay there again.

Such a beautiful hotel with wonderful hospitality staff. My command does it's Holiday party here every year.

Arrived first in my group of 103 and had to wait for my room but 15 minutes later when other guest within my group came their room was ready. I had to wait another 15 minutes until they checked in to then be told my room was ready. I felt that if we were all under the same reservation since I was their first I should have been given whatever room on that reservation was available. The hotel perhaps should have coordinated better with my group lead to find out which guest had earlier flights so that room distribution would go smoother.

I spent a few days on a work trip. The room was clean and big enough. Breakfast was a little pricey but fine.

Comfy, great food, quiet, friendly staff, loud ice maker but that's a minor compared to all the great aspects.

Clean, comfortable and nice atmosphere. Staff is extremely attentive and polite. We were given a warm chocolate chip cookie when we checked in, and that was just the ticket after 3 1/2 hours in traffic! Felt right at home. I would definitely recommend staying here again.

Older building but very well maintained. Public spaces and rooms are clean. Staff is nice, helpful. Check in is quick. The warm chocolate chip cookies are a nice touch. There is free Wi-Fi (unsecured). Final bill is sent to email to speed up check out. Coffee makers in the rooms. Some rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. They seem to have dispensed with vending machines on the floors in favor of a small snack area near the front desk (that lets you charge snacks to the room instead of having to find change or appropriate bills). There is a smallish bar/restaurant. Menu is not extensive; features foods that can be prepared quickly (entree salads, burgers, crab cakes) so food is delivered quickly. Many meeting rooms are available.

Nice hotel. Indoor swimming pool but no hot tub. Good breakfast and it's also dog friendly although fussy about barkers!

Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. Rooms have a slightly musty smell.

Fine establishment threw my mother in law a surprise birthday party and other than them putting "Jane's Surprise Birthday Party" on the marquee and outside of the doors of the party everything went great.

Great property. Will stay again when I visit the area again. Clean rooms, excellent service, delicious cookies, nice little fitness room, extremely comfortable bed, delicious breakfast buffet with a solid omelette.

Beautiful place! Never stayed here, but the lobby is awesomeness! Great place for a ball/dance which is the reason I've gone the past few years. The service has always been great, along with the beer/wine selection.

Attended a few different week-long conferences at this location and have always had a great experience. Staff are polite and attentive. Plenty of restaurants near by and the hotel shuttle is very useful.

Didn't stay at the hotel. Had gone there a few months ago for the restaurant. Had a coupon. The food was delicious then… Don't know what happened. I will not go back. The vegetable crab soup was mostly vegetable very few pieces of 'crab'. Very bland. The appetizer was Awful also. Mediterranean trio my foot! My entrée was an odd combination. Shrimp skewer, crab cake and fried (hard, tasteless) calamari. Also had broccoli and asparagus. That was the best part of the meal. Maybe their sandwiches are better. I won't be finding out.

For a Hilton hotel, we didn't get much more than if we had stayed at a motel. The room was standard, two beds, but it was missing the microwave and refrigerator that was advertised. There was only 3 towels even though they knew we had 4 guests staying in the room. There were no cups in the bathroom like I've had at other hotels. Unlike newer hotels, this one did not have a AC/heater unit in the room, it was central air or something and when we turned the heat one, it made a terribly loud noise. Not worth the price for what we got. Better off staying at a motel.

Some of their older rooms had a damp smell so we moved rooms. Nice staff. Great location.

I travel for work and have stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Annapolis many times, 13 to be exact.
My rooms, which have been many, have always been very comfortable and in immaculate condition. The hotel staff is very professional and have gone above and beyond to make my stays pleasant. They always greet me with a smile and a warm chocolate chip cookie. Love it! Most days, usually when David is there, I get a txt message checking if I need anything. Love that too! The fron…t desk staff, specially Hallye, have scanned many documents for me, facilitating my work tremendously. Can't thank them enough for that!
The hotel buffet breakfast is excellent, the restaurant food has a great quality and you get a lot for your money. My favorite dish is the Seafood trio with crab cake, grilled shrimps and fried calamari.
Yet, not everything has been perfect. One night had to request a room change because my room A/C unit wasn't working and on a different occasion had to take the stairs to the 4th floor because the elevator wasn't working, however, overall all my stays have been excellent! Thank you Alex, David, Hallye, Miranda, Ryan, Sam and every staff member I have come in contact with, for such outstanding service!

Not the getaway we'd hoped for. Think Doubletree, not Hilton. Hotel is in suburban sprawl area, but shuttle will take you within 5 miles which includes Annapolis wharf. No bath mats for slippery shower floor, despite our request. Restaurant is strict about serving times for breakfast. Pool is clean and big, but is quite chilly and despite nice setting, you hear highway sounds roaring past.

I attended a conference at the hotel, but I haven't stayed the night. The conference facilities are very nice. The food provided for lunch and breaks has been really good. The staff is very attentive and efficient in getting the tables cleared, and the coffee and other drinks are always available. My only minor quibble is that there could be a larger restroom. A line forms during breaks.

The staff and room were excellent.
I received the upgraded room requested months ago when I made the reservation, that I actually forgot about.
Spent the weekend, used the pool and exercise room, both were clean and maintained well.
Definitely recommend.

My room was pretty standard — two beds, desk, chair. Had a nice view of the pool but also the highway. I always appreciate rooms with fridges and microwaves. The hotel restaurant actually had fairly good food but at hotel prices of course. Being walking distance from two nice shopping centers also makes this a great location for a great hotel.

Good price. Good location. Rooms are a little old. Ours had a leaky portion of the ceiling in the bathroom.

A place our state chapter group gets together together every year for a 1 day conference. Always top notch service.

Conveniently located near malls, places to eat, etc. The room was clean, adequate. Service was prompt. Overall, no complaints. About what you'd expect for the price.

Great location near freeway, mall and several restaurants and other shops. Hotel staff has been great. Rooms are okay. They have updated furnishings. Rooms still have a lingering smoke smell. Business center is good. Normal fitness center.

We have NOTHING negative to say about this hotel. Everything from the front desk to the cleaning staff (most important in my medical mind) was top shelf.

I attended a training event at the Double Tree Hotel, my friend and I stayed overnight because coming from out of town, we wanted to be on time in the morning. The staff was so kind, professional and welcoming. Our room was very clean. We ordered Room Service for breakfast, the gentleman arrived right on time the next morning with our food and it was delicious! They even have an alarm clock in the room so you don't have to worry about setting the alarm on your phone! We were very pleased and would definitely stay here again!

I was at the Doubletree for a business event. I go to the events once every couple weeks. The staff is very professional and polite. It's in a great location in Annapolis. Close to the mall and shops.

The room was very nice. Everyone that we came across that worked there was very nice and accommodating.

Good service, we were fast and complimentary gave us some cookies and had a shuttle service to the airport Ronald Reagan.

I was set up with the Lottery for the Gumbo Cook off. The room we we're in was roomy and comfortably fit a good amount of peope. It was a fun event and Gumbo was delicious.

Convenient location near the naval academy. The shuttle to downtown is a great amenity. Only negative is you can hear the freeway noise through window at night.

Really?! … Really? The hotel is ok but the bartenders and bar could really give a sh*t … Go into the bar @ 10:30 on a Friday night and it felt like we were disturbing the guy behind the bar … What an attitude … Getting his a$$ off the back cooler seemed like a major accomplishment …

Room was clean, service was fine. They have a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel.

In desperate need of a renovation, especially for a Doubletree brand.

Bret at the front desk is extremely unprofessional. He needs to take a lesson in customer service skills as does the housekeeping manager Carmen. Poor customer service and a room that was dirty and 30 minutes late for check in made for a miserable experience. I expected a much better level of service and cleanliness from this hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

Very rude front desk, especially Bret. Check in is at 4PM and he gave us the key to the room. We went to the room and it wasn't even clean. When we came back down, Bret said "didn't you hear me when I said the room isn't ready? " Horrible customer service here.

What I especially liked about this hotel was the friendly staff in the dining room. I realize of course these people are in the hospitality industry, but I think they were beyond helpful. My waiter took time to explain menu items and even the chef came out to see if I enjoyed the meal. Likewise with front desk people. Rooms were comfortable and clean. I'd definitely go back.

Excellent and affordable.

We had our wedding reception here in September with rooms blocked for our guests as well. The entire staff from management to waitstaff were incredibly accommodating. They took care of every detail so that our wedding reception was a stress free event for us. Even with the addition of a last minute guest the night before the reception, the director of catering was able to make room for the guest and ensure they had a meal during the reception. The director of catering, Katie, was helpful through the entire process of wedding planning and coordinated during the event so that it was flawless. Also, Nelson, from the wait staff was attentive and accommodating without being overbearing. He ensured food and drinks were always present and handled every request we had. Many guests agreed that the reception could not have been better. As the bride and groom, we could not be more thankful for the stress free event they provided. This allowed us to enjoy our wedding reception to the fullest.

The other reviewers must have stayed at a different hotel than I did. The hotel was poorly managed and the staff was quite rude. A billing error on their part had me running in circles back and forth because nobody wanted to take responsibility and deal with it. There are plenty of fine places to stay in Annapolis, so I would look elsewhere.

Wow! This place is incredible! The staff was super friendly, helpful, professional and went totally beyond our expectations. Restaurant food and staff was outstanding! Katelyn at the front desk went above and beyond to help make our stay the best experience we have ever had! Thank you everyone for making my husband's 60 birthday one he will never forget. Go Navy.

My girlfriend and I stayed here last weekend when visiting old-town Annapolis. We found the staff helpful, the room clean, and overall were very impressed with the service. When we arrived, we found that we had been given a room with two double beds. We asked if it was possible to switch to a king-sized (not very romantic sleeping 8 feet apart), and the hostess checked the availability and was able to switch us to the last available king room. The room was plenty sizeable for us, and everything was clean and in working order. We discovered that evening that the hotel runs a free shuttle service to anywhere within 5 miles. I strongly recommend that anyone staying at this hotel take advantage of this service! We were able to avoid paying for parking all weekend by using the shuttle service, and when we needed to be picked up and taken back to the hotel, the longest that we waited was only about 15 minutes. It was helpful to get recommendations from our driver, also, as he knows the city like the back of his hand. The pool and fitness room were nice, too. This hotel is affordable and the staff are accomodating. Recommended.
